3261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 31, 2021, 12:14:27 PM
When someone consider that they need to schedule their time for gambling as well then they are some kind of addiction to it, no one should ever make it as daily habit even though if they are having time limit because over time the addiction will increase and increase and will result into severe kind of addiction.

On the other hand when someone gambles occasionally they need to have a time limit so they can avoid getting exhausted.

When you have family, work, friends and some other activities, one way or another you will plan them all. This does not mean that you have some kind of addiction. In fact, this question is relevant only for a small number of people (who have an almost unlimited amount of free time), most people live in a tight schedule and a constant lack of time.

Correct.

Managing your time doesn't mean you're addicted on it, in fact you're very far from it because gambling addicts always prioritize gambling above all else, instead of being productive, they will just spend most of their time on gambling throwing away their money every single day, that's the real addiction. Time management is always important to boost yourself on doing the things you need to do to feed yourself or your family every day.
3262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gaming Scams during Pandemic. How to Stay Safe. on: May 31, 2021, 11:27:09 AM
Most scams using gmails are those phising links, they will make a gmail account using the name of the banks you're using or pretend as a customer service of a online gambling site you're playing. So if you don't recall any problems at all with your bank or your account in online gambling site, ignore those kind of gmails because most likely they are just phising links made by scammers.

But you could also sent a message to the legitimate account of the bank or online gambling site you're playing at and ask about the said topic.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: May 31, 2021, 10:46:02 AM
Personally, one of the best (if not the best) support system that a gambler could seek for would be his/her immediate family and peers. No one understands more than the gambler than his family or friends. No matter what happens, family will always be the one who would support and seek guidance in order to get through this rough road.

In the event that the family is unavailable, I would advice to seek some local government or NGOs that support addiction in general. They provide workshops and other relevant activities that would transform your addiction and re-focus such into other recreational activities.
Unfortunately, perhaps gamblers hate a serious discussion of their gambling problems and they often respond very superficially to questions from family and friends, and until people realize the symptoms of a gambling addiction, a state of debt piled up and can't get out, it's really hard to help someone in such a situation. And if the family can't help, community organizations only make the addicts alienated from society, the gambler just likes to hide in the dark corners of society and doesn't like to contact others.
One of the reasons why gambling addiction can proceed to such stages is that unlike other addictions in which you can clearly see the effects of someone that is addicted, for example in the case of alcohol if every time that you see your friend or family member he has obvious signs that he has been drinking then you can easily tell that he has a problem with alcohol, but in the case of gambling addiction this is not possible as the only way to tell if a person is addicted is to see him at the casino over and over again or see how indebted he is and neither of those two things can be easily observed unless you make an effort to do so.

This is very true.

You'll never know unless it's too late, or if some of your friends accidentally saw your husband of a family member that he is addicted in playing gambling. But you'll also notice it if you're asking him money because it's his salary day but he always said he have no more money left because he spend it on something or whatever. There will be only less number of gamblers who confessed or will confess their addiction in an early stage.
3264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 29, 2021, 02:53:00 PM
The covid boosted all the online services like google, youtube, gambling, eCommerce, etc. So this thing is not too much surprising even now the people are stick with the new normal because it is more convenient to them that is why we also see more players started to gamble online due to convenience and also they are afraid of getting infected if they roam around and visit physical casinos.

Correct.

People has been exposed to online gambling because some workers lost their job and can't be done like "working home" jobs. So as an alternative and to entertain themselves, they started to explore online gambling and familiarize how it works because they also wanted to make an income while staying at home. Some of them won, some of them lost their money and just doubled up their problem.
3265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legends and Veterans. Seeking wisdom... on: May 29, 2021, 12:59:14 PM
There's nothing much to do, to be honest. You have to be chill and relax whenever the price correction happens. You're not going to panic if you know what's going on, so always read and research about what you're doing and what you should do during price correction. Another thing is to buy the dip, that's a great opportunity when it comes on huge profit making in the long run. Patient is a must.
3266  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto lead to the next financial crisis? on: May 28, 2021, 03:24:24 PM
I don't think so.

Only 2.8% of the population globally owns cryptocurrency, it's too far on making the next financial crisis just because of cryptocurrency, besides, it's the exact opposite. Fiat is the reason why we are experiencing global crisis, that worsen because of the pandemic, fiat is trash to be honest, because of inflation.

If you'll think about it, the positive things about Bitcoin always outshines the negative temporary bad news about it, like banning cryptocurrency in a certain country and will uplift it after a while.
3267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin futures trading - looking for advice on: May 28, 2021, 02:42:38 PM
A $100,000 is good on cross margin in my opinion, and low leverage if you'll play it safe. Bitcoin futures trading might be hard because of high volatility, and so far I only makes profits on scalping it, not day trading, but I guess it depends on what strategy will suit you. If you want, you could also spend some of your funds in stock where it is safer as long as you'll choose good coins for the long run investment.
3268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: May 28, 2021, 01:22:49 PM
Quantum computing posed a threat on cryptocurrency way back in 2018 article that I've read if I'm not mistakes because it could control the Blockchain technology and the Private keys are at risks as well, but recent article that was published by forbes last December 2020 says that it will be no longer made that way, and to ensure Bitcoin and cryptocurrency safety, they will make a soft fork on Bitcoin  to ensure private keys from post quantum encryption.

3269  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin, papalo ba sa $100k ?? on: May 28, 2021, 11:48:25 AM

3270  Economy / Economics / Re: We exited the bear market earler than expected on: May 27, 2021, 02:51:48 PM
It's more convincing if you'll show us some proof (price chart explanation) that'll prove that we're already in a bearish market. A lot of stuff are going to that affected Bitcoin price to plummet, but that's not enough reason to call the market a bearish one, who knows it's just fuelling the massive bull run.

I mean, let's say it's already bearish, so what's new about it? hodl is the key to secure our profits and patient.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feel Pressed Something while Gambling on: May 27, 2021, 02:01:40 PM
Someone with such behavior seems really attached on slot machine or addicted in gambling to poo right there without even thinking that there's a cctv or someone could see him for doing that. Being anxious and pressure for the outcome of the game can sometimes lead to ignore the place where you are or whose with you because we are too focus on what we do, this one is an example.
This can happen to us, and there are situations that will not let us do a thing that we normally do because of an urgent matter that we are doing, maybe the guy just hit a jackpot and he cannot take an urgent nature call and just did the unthinkable, it's not only in gambling I have seen this happen to gamers too.
I think so, at that moment its either he is close for hitting a jackpot or his last chance to play the game because he has nothing left in his pocket anymore. I could only think of these scenarios and the possible reason why he acted like that which is not normal.

However regardless of his emotion that time, its not right too poo anywhere and unfortunately for him it was caught on cctv and even posted online.
Or maybe the Man is Under the influence of Drugs or some chemicals because he seems to be a fine looking person that will not do such thing when he is in normal mind.

maybe he is into something and just carried away in the time of his betting moment.
^ not so I thought, someone who is under the influence of drugs or is drunk will find it very difficult to focus on gambling unless the person is very addicted to gambling. that person must be a tramp because it seemed like he didn't care about his personal hygiene at all.
Addicted to gambling plus drunk or drugs will make someone losing his control. We do not know if he is a tramp or not, as if he really a tramp, the casino will not let that person enter that place, even for just a pee.

Maybe that person does not care about the hygiene for himself and does that without realizing about the CCTV.

Maybe he was thinking that "my shit can wait, but my luck can't", something like that. Addicted gamblers won't leave their spot in slot machines because they believe that in a certain random number when it rolls, they'll hit the jackpot eventually, but that's really hard to predict since it's all about luck and hard time calculation maybe if you really want to crack up how slot machine works.
3272  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 27, 2021, 01:09:18 PM
I was watching my favorite streamer MoistCr1tikal doing a side commentary on a Slapping Tournament, and what caught my eye was that it was sponsored by Totalbet, which means that it is a viable betting although I find it easy to bet if you have prior knowledge about who slaps the hardest. Are there any betting site that has this for betting?
This is one brutal sport to be honest, obviously not as bad as UFC Tongue

Who gives their cheek to get a free slapping in a room full of people, sorry just watching a few clips of the slapping contest I feel sorry for these guys....is this about the money or releasing that anger out of you...whatever the reasons this is a sport for people that want an adrenaline rush.
I think that is because of the money that the winner can get. For some people, that can be a brutal sport, but for others, maybe they can get entertainment from that sport. So they will still watch the tournament same as the people who watch the UFC tournament.

But I can not imagine that it is really hurt to get a slap on that cheek and not many people can receive that slap without any emotion. So I give a salute to the player.

Yes, it's all about money of course. However, this is ain't professional sports because anyone can enter and qualified since what you all gonna do is to exchange slaps until someone collapse because of the slap, simple as that. Unlike in KFC, you have to get a proper training first before you could fight, meaning your body is in a good condition.

Imagine making yourself fit in slapping tournament by getting slap at your home maybe? or slapping yourself until your face get numb? too risky for me.

That's the sad part about it, most of the time, your family is the one who will say bad things about you because of your addiction, instead of helping they will discourage you on everything you'll do to change yourself. So the normal response of our body is to listen to them, and make ourselves even more helpless and hopeless, therefore you'll never think of asking help to other people because your mind would say "they are not going to help you too".
3274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 27, 2021, 11:51:49 AM
Maybe the eyes will be opened, the people of Ohio will think and they will realize the good results of vaccination against the virus like the people of New York who have already completed their second dose of vaccination.  And it's like it's back to normal there, there's no need to wear a face mask in public places like parks.  This lottery raffle that they are going to make doesn't need to be done because desperation just comes out.  But it is understandable because they are just doing everything to encourage other citizens to get vaccinated as well.  There is nothing mandatory, however, the other vaccines that should be used are just wasted because the expiration of thousands of vaccines is approaching.  Then those in other countries just burned the vaccine which was not useful because very few wanted to get vaccinated.

It's too early to say that the vaccines that we have is indeed effective, who knows if its side effect will only show after a long period of time, that's why you can't blame other people if they are having second thoughts about getting vaccinated since we're talking about lives here. It's so epic if you'll be killed by the vaccine after you took care of yourself in the whole period of COVID-19 pandemic.
3275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making investmets based on Elon Musk Tweets on: May 26, 2021, 03:14:49 PM
The Elon thing is bitter-sweet. He's bringing a lot of participants into Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, but it's in exchange for a lot of them going to get burned. Is the temporary spike in publicity worth the bad taste some of them will have? Probably, probably not; but whatever— markets gonna market, dumb people are going to do dumb things, and all this stuff will just be small blips in the long term.

Exactly.

Elon is the biggest whale of Dogecoin and a whale for sure on Bitcoin as well. If people are gonna get hyped as well just because of his tweets, bless them to make a good decision on when to exit the market of whatever they bought just because of someone's else's decision. I guess many people would be trapped and would get buried on DOGECOIN and SHIBA-INU because it's all just meme coins in my opinion.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Goldxbtc.com fake gambling website.. on: May 26, 2021, 02:17:33 PM
You could verify instantly if it is a trap or not when they come too strong in the beginning, no one would slap you in the face that you could make a fortune by just doing a very simple task but it involves money, that's way too fishy and skeptical in the highest level. But I don't know why there is a lot of people who are getting fooled by scammers. It's an obvious scam but people still choose to risk their money.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 26, 2021, 01:26:12 PM
By the way, they can give a lot of money to the lucky lottery winners, why don't they do that apart from the big prizes, they will also give all the vaccinators even a little help or support for their daily needs especially among the poor. Even if they don't prosper on the day of the raffle draw, they still get something like a package.

I think that with the gradual and increased vaccination the day will come when the population of those who have been vaccinated will be larger than those who have not.  And maybe at that time, they will regret that they did not get the vaccine earlier, where it is still free for the people to use and come to the point of having to pay for it.

This is a good idea. There are lots of people who are not receiving any help at all from the Government because their community is so far from the civilization, so conducting a community help movement as well as getting them vaccinated after giving them relief goods is better than giving it to those who are just willing to br vaccinated, well of course if a certain individual doesn't really want the vaccine, at least they should still give food and money to aid them.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 26, 2021, 12:08:51 PM
Yes, the emotion to the beginners will be too high compare to the old gamblers. If those beginners do not realise what happens to them, I am afraid they will get dragged deeper into gambling and will not see the truth about the danger of gambling. We hope we do not have to be like them and we can reduce our activity in gambling to prevent the addiction.
In my experience the ones that get addicted to gambling are the thrill seekers and the ones that want to make profits because they are desperate, the rest that approach gambling for what it is which is a form of entertainment and that actually understand the probabilities of the game have a very low chance of becoming addicted to it and they have nothing to worry about, but even then it is a good idea to keep yourself alert and see if there are any signs that you are losing control of your gambling.

It's true that beginners often got hooked up in gambling because of the thrill, sometimes because they got trapped. What I mean is, most of the people gamble only a small amount of money first for safety reason, and sometimes, when you gamble only a small amount of money, you'll never realized how much you are really losing because of you being cautious and how small the amount is.

Now, here's the trap, when they started to increase the amount of money they are using to play in gambling, things change, they lose often, everything's become the exact opposite of what they are expecting that is why they ended up chasing their losses since they never expected that they are gonna lose that money.
3279  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding a bear market. on: May 25, 2021, 03:18:38 PM
To identify the bear market is easy, if you a price hike and the suddenly have bearish engulfing candles continuously that is called "bear flag", that is when you go for short trade (if you're in futures) and buy the dip if you're at spot.

The next thing you'll do in the bearish market is to have the greatest perseverance because you need to it to secure the profits you could make in the long run, that's why you don't put all the eggs in one basket for you have something to spend while waiting for the bull market to come again and sell what you bought in the dip.
3280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: May 25, 2021, 02:21:07 PM
I think he's doing it for both cryptocurrency and Tesla. First they happily boasted that they are in cryptocurrency as well as microstrategy, second they accepted Bitcoin as a payment, third is they adopted Dogecoin as well that hype the coin, fourth they take back what they've said about Bitcoin as a payment method on buying their cars that in my opinion cause a sudden price dump and they took the opportunity to buy the dip secretly, that's only my theory about it.

Elon is a smart guy, and there's no way he'd neglect totally the opportunity of making more money on buying the dip and for sure he'll hype it up again foe easy profits.
