Your example is a capital gain.

That's what i thought.

And that's 50% of amount sold added onto your yearly income?
Or is there a bracket of its own for capital gains?

Thanks

I am pretty sure you are correct with 50% of it added to your total income.

So (1000 - 5) / 2 add to yearly income.
3282  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Playing chess online for money/bitcoins is illegal? on: September 29, 2014, 08:00:10 PM

how can anyone play chess online for money surely you can just use computers to play for you so its just who has the best computer player.

This is a good point.
3283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Playing chess online for money/bitcoins is illegal? on: September 29, 2014, 07:58:45 PM
You are a debt slave this means anytime you spend money and do not pay tax it is HIGHLY Illegal.

Now remeber just because it is Illegal does not mean it is "evil".

Bitcoin would need inflation. But sadly is placed in it will never have it. What OP wanted to say was that bitcoin is not stable yet.

I agree and.. DOGECOIN!!!! DDDDOGECOIN!
3286  Other / Meta / Re: Someone BUYING older accounts here for mass propaganda.... on: September 27, 2014, 12:25:11 PM
Whether traded accounts are used for good or bad is down to your own personal opinion of what 'good' and 'bad' is.

Also, I disagree entirely with this statement. Life isn't a grey blur of moral ambiguity.

Good = truth = freedom = life

Bad = lies = imprisonment = death

So there you go. A lot of the time good and bad isn't a matter of personal opinion but is pretty clear cut. It seems to me that you ought to know lying is bad by now, and pretending to be somebody you are not is lying.

This is your point of view.

How much data do they use a day?
3288  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S1 on: September 27, 2014, 12:08:44 PM
I can connect to it but it doesn't hash anymore.. Sad..  Was hashing for about 4-5 months, any ideas on what could of stopped it?  The miner status page only says "This section contains no values yet".
First you might try to reboot it from the Gui (System, Reboot, click on 'perform reboot'), or do it from AntMonitor. If that doens't resolve it try to turn off the power supply, let it rest for a few minutes, then restart.
If these steps don't do it, start trouble shooting your stuff (measure power supply voltages, make sure that your settings are still correct, no burnt components on the S1 etc.)

Cheers

A power down of 8 hours seemed to fix it.. *shrugs*.

I guess I should of mentioned I did try a reboot before hand, hard and soft.

Buy order of $445 Canadian.. FILLED.

I hope it goes to $100.. I'll be buying all the way down!

Never in my life would I of thought it would be so easy to donate to a charity or reward someone for their work instantly..   I have "paid/donated" many youtubers I have found interesting.  Furthermore the amount of wealth I have donated since getting into Bitcoin is more than all of the donations during my life time before.

BTC is awesome.
3291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you dumb enough to be a cop? on: September 26, 2014, 06:42:02 PM
while i agree any abuse is not good, it is most likely going to happen in every work place at some point.

just dont stand for abuse, make sure you get people fired who abuse their power and so on.

thats all we can do as citizens is to know our rights and protect ourselves.

lock n load marines!

Do you know of a cop that has been fired?
3292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 26, 2014, 06:34:54 PM
So you say America shouldn't do ANYTHING against ISIS? Someone has to do something about them. The way ISIS want a own caliphate by murdering and raping all non-Islamist should be stopped by someone.

I'm sure they hit atleast some ISIS fighters by bombing. Yes, civilians too. But at the other hand, way more civilians will have been killed if NO ONE does something against ISIS.  They should increase the attacks on ISIS. Increase the force against ISIS with every decapitation they make, don't do what they want.

Iraq is like a syain it appears.. everytime MERICA YA MERICA goes over there and smashs them they come back 100x stronger.

Soo... lets take a stab at what will happen when they slaughter half of ISIS and half of the counrtires they are in.. hum. .their numbers will jump massively.. I see.

MERICA!! FUCK YA!!! The only thing they could do is put an army back in Iraq to hold the north and protect any refugess running there any thing else will only increase the Syain's powers and remove more of your freedoms... is that what they are after Wink.

I think one thing we can all agree on is that when the next surge does start, it will be swift and it will be violent.

I agree 100%, I think it will take a long time.  Although once it starts its real rise it will rise jump up 100-1000% in a matter of mintues or seconds not even hours or days.

Fallin and X will come on here begging for BTC.  I might give them a microbit.

dude, check the depthcharts again. There's enough coins for everybody.

Non of those buy or sell walls are real.

3295  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Holds Massive Military Drill: Good for Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2014, 05:24:41 PM
Imma say this, Russia is not AIR OR SEA superior to the US, They only have 5 su-50's in operation- (They only thing they have that can hang with the f22 raptor)

Second, The f22 exceeds what the human body can handle, The system in the f35 digital 360 hud display will be used in alot of the fighter if we go full out war time. Can u imagine what one poiltLess f22 is capable of?Huh?

WE HAVE THE BEST MILITARY HANDS DOWN, WE VERBALLY LOWER OUR CAPABILITIES TO SAY WE ARE NOT WAR HAWKS,

JUST THINK ABOUT A FEW UPGRADED STEALTH SUPER HORNETS , F22'S AND F35'S(OUR VERSIONS IS DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSES)

RAIL GUNS, ENERGY WEAPONS, SECRET UAV FIGHTERS, I COULD KEEP GOING... LOL LASERS VS YOUR MISSLE , RAIL GUNS VS YOU MISSLE, KINETIC BOBMARDMENT VS UR MISSLES, (NUKE OR NO NUKE THEY CANT SEE US, THEY NO "MAD" IS OUT THE WINDOW

China has quite the military.... and almost no debt... and owns A LOT of the housing in western countries...  In one day they could flatten the entire western ecom via selling all that housing at 1/10th of it's value.. our ecom would implode.
3296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The protocol of bitcoin can be limitlessly replicated on: September 26, 2014, 05:19:13 PM
When the bitcoin network  can be duplicated instantly

LMAO LOL how in the hell do you plan on convincing all of the miners to insta turn on BTC and jump over to Xiaoxiaocoin ..?
3297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Crashing Again.... on: September 26, 2014, 04:00:28 PM
The biggest problem for bitcoin is that it is old news. There aren't practically any people left who haven't heard about bitcoin and everyone has already made up their mind on what to think of it. It means that the market is exhausted and there aren't many new people left who could potentially enter the market. The old enthusiasts are playing with each other, while money is slowly dripping out of the market.
You have to offer the masses something new to get excited about, if you want to stimulate the crypto market. No one will get excited about old news..

What a load of shit. 90% of the population doesn't know what bitcoin is.my girlfriend is a senior in college and is taking a class where her professor was talking about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, besides her and the professor not one person had ever heard of bitcoin. I've talked about btc with hundreds of people in the world, not a single one of them knew any details about bitcoin other than it was some form of electronic money. Just because all the people on the bitcoin talk forum know about bitcoin, doesn't mean everyone already knows, the fact is 90% of people on the planet haven't a clue what it is.

I sort of disagree

IMO 40% of people if not more have heard of BTC.. might know it as "Illegal money.. or ponzie scheme etc"

.00001% of people actually decent idea of what BTC really is.

It's just spam advertising usually. There's several threads about it here and in beginners. I don't see that statement anywhere though? Where does it say that?

On my phone wallet it says that.

They are all confirmed it seems.
3300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Very small donations to my Phone wallet.. on: September 26, 2014, 03:07:58 PM
