3281  Other / Meta / Re: A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 12, 2015, 11:48:00 AM
No, I don't think that amounts to spam or is against the rules.

I also find it difficult in some cases. Posting everything in a single post makes it very hard to read, and quotes get too long, while making one post for every quote is pretty too much.

I would say, find a balance. Wink

I know but (I think) this is the first time I have made two consecutive posts only to make comfortable the reading or legibility. There is not a second "fine".

If you do it with a signature it can be seen as 'post padding' to raise your post count and get paid more.

I'd avoid if possible.

So now I should report all the users are 'making double posting", do you know how much users I have seen do post in this way? I don't want to write their username here... I will report all their posts now and see if they will merged in one or not. If they will not merge in one unique post I think this is a sort of discrimination.

However I do not consider double posting (only two posts) in a row for the quotes question 'post padding'... I have seen users posted 3-4 posts in a row, and I don't consider it bump because the posts are close to each other in seconds.

Thanks for your opinion guys!
3282  Other / Meta / A simple question "Is it against the forum rules make "double posting" ? on: April 12, 2015, 11:30:59 AM
Hey guys,

I don't want to argue badly (or make a sort of fight here) so please keep 'peaceful' the discussion. Yesterday in the advcash service discussion I have posted two messages in a row -- double posting (* and a mod merged them in one post , saying someone reported my posts). I didn't think it was against the forum rules, I have made only to make comfortable the reading of those posts.

Now I would like to ask what's wrong in make consecutive posts (not every quote= new post - but maybe 2-3 quotes in a post and other 1-2 quotes in other post)? Is it against the forum rules?

Thanks for the attention, and I want to reply again "please keep 'peaceful' this thread"

3283  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 12, 2015, 11:17:23 AM
I am a Software Engineer myself and even I code but yes, for money as my company pays me for the same.

And yet you seriously need to "sell your sig space" for some tiny fractions of BTC?

Anyway - the whole point is not the "ad sigs" themselves but the "stupid pointless posts" that are being made in order to "earn that tiny amount of BTC".

I can agree with your point of view but remember that not all the users here are programmer or computer scientist. So it is normal that the "posts" are low of knowledge .... this is a forum when the people share their ideas and learn from the talent users. I can also agree with you for the quantity of posts but also the forum gain from this "spammy posts" through the visits and waves of the new users every day.
3284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 11:11:02 AM
Yes, it would be good to see an Avatar Campaign but at the same time it isn't so good to see advertising in every part of this forum  Undecided

You already see it in every part of the forum via both ads and signatures.

At the end the ads in this forum is not a bad thing or am I wrong? Because it brings (every day) a lot of visits and new users here and everyone make  (forum + sites) their "profit"; an avatar campaign  may bring a lot of visits (and obviously spam) but if the rate will be fixed I don't think there will be a problem.
3285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 11:02:06 AM
Why would you need one? You can see other's that have them. Would you find them annoying if multiple people have the same avatar (if you can envisage)?

Multiple having same avatars is annoying to me. If enrollee's can put like Marco does, it will be okay.

But what about signatures? Many find the same signatures annoying. There are options to turn either or both off. Maybe my suggestion about being able to block individual sigs and avatars will get implemented also.

I find / found that Avatars helped identify users without having to read their username against each post. You can see the shape and coloring of the avatar without even looking at it. So everyone running the same one will be annoying.

Yes you are right but as I said previously there will not be a problem if the "promotional ad" go to the left or right side of the avatar. Everyone will keep his personal avatar and no one will be wrong to identify the user (remember there is always the username).
3286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 10:41:40 AM
I have voted yes.

Why would you need one? You can see other's that have them. Would you find them annoying if multiple people have the same avatar (if you can envisage)?

Multiple having same avatars is annoying to me. If enrollee's can put like Marco does, it will be okay.

However, you might have to hire a part time designer for editing enrollee's image. Wink

I think (for example) marcotheminer or other sig campaign maintainers will allow to keep our personal avatar but we should add a bit-x "logo" to the right side of it, and this way for me it's ok. I don't think it is annoying (more than the signature) and if someone don't want to see them, he can always use an extension (like ad block) for block specific avatars.

3288  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: April 12, 2015, 10:25:22 AM
Can I suggest an opposite thing (related with the ranks). Why not decrease the activity when an user been banned (for spam reason) this should improve the quality of all the posts and I am sure the users will put more attention in what they write here (in the forum). That was just my personal opinion and I don't think it is necessary to add a new rank, but I am still supporting the color for each rank.
3289  Other / Meta / Re: Please No (Hard) Drug Avatars on: April 12, 2015, 10:17:27 AM

He can simple use ad block plus or similar to hide the view of a specific avatar, if there is only an "user complaint". I think theymos should receive a lot of "complaint" by the community and after he can 'act' but now it seems there is not the case.

Sorry, but i don't see only 1 user complaint at least after re-reading the last 3 pages. I see a few more. However, I think that following the re-introduction of avatars some users are simply trying to test how much extreme/illegal/objectionable/etc images are allowed to stay.
Personally, I would like a clear boundary set by admins and put among the sticky rules.

The community majority should disapprove that avatar not one or only few users, however the solution to that problem has been given *adblock*, insert the link of the user avatar in the filter, confirm and reload the page... et voila! The censorship is not a good thing and there is always a "second way" to resolve the problem.
3290  Other / Meta / Re: Please No (Hard) Drug Avatars on: April 12, 2015, 09:20:27 AM
It is unfortunate that any avatar causes negative feelings, but I don't want to censor avatars that are offensive/disturbing to only a small minority of forum members. Many people will be negatively affected by many different images, and while banning each individual thing might not be a big deal, banning them all would make the avatar rules uncomfortably restrictive, I think.

I can understand your position and I would like a friendly agreement could be reached between OP and smaragda; however, I just wandering what a NSFL avatar should be to be deemed as such. As per your post a NSFL avatar image is not allowed, since illegal drugs while being of course illegal are also dangerous to health and obviously not safe for life I'm just guessing what is a NSFL content?

Hey. Since you like that immigration map so much, I thought I'd make one of my own. In your honor I used your capitalization rules.

It seems that you have "transformed" this thread into a blame thread but I don't want to argue with you (it is not a personal thing, here or am I wrong Wink?). Yes that (the example) is a type of invasion as you can read here:

  • An instance of invading a country or region with an armed force
  • An incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity
  • An unwelcome intrusion into another’s domain

Thanks for respect the thread rule  Roll Eyes.

The best and simple online wallet that I've ever meet.
I have been use it for a year without any problem.
The title "asking" Describe the blockchain in one sentence , not the web wallet blockchain.info (aks BC.info). I have seen a lot of people are confusing the word blockchain (block chain) with that webwallet (not real good, but this is my personal opinion).
They often do. That's why the online wallet should have been named differently. It is actually not good nor are any online wallets.

I'd say it is a transparent and secure public ledger.
There are opinions claiming that block chain is not secure as we may think, and in fact is quite vulnerable to attacks. You may want to check that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1021233.0

As for me: Blockchain is just database of all bitcoin transactions.

Yes of course but do you know that you can save data (img, txt file, etc..) on a blockchain using the OP_return? So it is not only a database for save bitcoin transaction, but it is more than that thing Wink. The usage of blockchain in the next few years will improve...
3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kaspersky and INTERPOL Say Blockchain is Vulnerable on: April 11, 2015, 04:30:27 PM
So where is this "presented research"?
This,

where is the research? They cannot say "blockchain is vulnerable" without give a full report and various example of that attack.

How about someone from our side takes a look at it. I trust Interpol as much as I trust the FBI.

I trust my cat more than FBI + Interpol .

3297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: palestinazis & Israel? What do you think about that situation? on: April 11, 2015, 02:04:02 PM
Yes. Both the Arabs and the Jews have weapons and are willing to use them. This is a balanced view.

Do you know "Stone generation"?

I didn't noticed that phrase: do you mean something like that?

but one day I really want to say something like that:

3298  Other / Politics & Society / Re: palestinazis & Israel? What do you think about that situation? on: April 11, 2015, 01:32:42 PM
Yes. Both the Arabs and the Jews have weapons and are willing to use them. This is a balanced view.

I posted the Hamas picture because the previous picture showed an Jew pointing a gun at a defiant Arab with armed only with a camera. That is an unbalanced view. It's a false narrative that much of the world wants to push, for reasons already made clear.

So... can I ask you only one thing? Who is in the side of the truth (in your point of view)? The actual (oppressed) Palestinian people or israeli ones? I want to say another time that I don't support the israeli government (aka politics). Thanks for your attention.

Hey,

I'm trying out the virtual one. I'll come back here to post on what I find.

My deposit has 3 confirmations but is still "pending". I'm guessing it needs 6.

Hi,

when you send bitcoin you should wait the "standard" irreversible 6 confirm, and after your coin will appear in your balance. Let me know if you will find other problems Wink (or simply want an help).
Yeah, it's all good now. I'll give some feedback after I try it out for a bit. I don't quite understand all of the limits, though. What does a one-time limit mean? Is it overall for the card or for just one transaction?

Have you tried the card with some purchases? For the moment I also don't understand what mean "one-time limit" but I can't see it in the site (http://advcash.com/en/solutions/card/):

Also this site DOESN'T Allow member from Pakistan, I have More then 15 ref so what should I do Now?

Maybe mastercard has some trouble with the pakistan laws, however  I don't know how the ref systema works so I cannot help you.
3300  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal wants to accept BTC now?? on: April 11, 2015, 11:33:18 AM
we want bitcoin to crash the paypal not to support it
if paypal accepting btc then btc is supporting them

Fuck yeah.  Paypal is the absolute worst, you get fees up the ass.
Ebay is absolute garbage, you get fees and scammed up the ass.
People complain about bitcoin, look at ebay's class action suit for sellers being scammed by ebay shit policy and support.
Screw paypal and ebay, create that openbazar shit or something already.

Paypal should and will die, it is expensive, offers dick in the way of protection, and was basically created to make ebay more money.

I don't think it will die so fast, do you know what the people want? A simple and easy method of payment, and bitcoin is still not really "user-friendly" this is one of the various reasons why people don't join the bitcoin world. There are a lot of people that don't know how to use a computer (or surf on internet) and we want a mainstream adoption? How much years 'has' "this type of economic" (in comparison with cryptocurrency _ only 5-10 years).

I was not saying bitcoin is going to take over tomorrow.....just agreeing that paypal is absolute garbage and bitcoin is superior (to be fair I cant think of a payment method inferior to shitpal.)  Also ebay is the absolute worst service these days.

I fully agree. Everyone using Painpal (or even worse using Painpal to accept Bitcoin) must be considered an idiot. Bitcoin is superior in all aspects, most importantly staying in full control of your funds. Painpal will die.

However it's true that Bitcoin is not readily adopted by the masses because it is a new concept. But that will change with time. In fact, Bitcoin allows for even better usability than Painpal, because there is no registration / conversion overhead.[/u]

ya.ya.yo!

It is obvious that I'm thinking the same, why I'm here Grin? You should convince all your friend and relative to start use also bitcoin for their online/physical purchase, maybe with the use of a credit card like (advcash, neteller, etc..).
