3281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 20, 2017, 07:15:17 PM
Why would I burn my bitcoin if something like that happens? It costs nothing to hope that the price will rise again in the scenario of bitcoin hitting the floor price. Also keeping your bitcoins in a wallet does not cost you anything,so why to burn them? Only to express your regret of not selling when it was higher? lol
3282  Economy / Economics / Re: Are FIAT Currencies Facing an Extinction Level Event? on: January 20, 2017, 11:00:28 AM
I believe that the fiat currencies will be replaced by digital currencies but I not very soon as people are used to using paper money and a lot of people don't even know about cryptos yet so I would estimate that in 10-20 years the crypto-currencies will be used more than fiat, but the complet replacement of fiat could only happen in more than 50 years in my opinion. 3283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whether bitcoin is able to change the level of a person's life for the better? on: January 19, 2017, 05:14:47 PM
You can't make bitcoin without hard work unless you steal it or with big risks. Also you can't count on bitcoin to be a replacement for a workplace. Of course that if you are a rich person and invest a lot of money in bitcoin you could make the decision to quit your job and live of your bitcoin investment. 😉
3284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: January 17, 2017, 08:11:11 PM
There are people and people who generate their income from very different sources, but I think that trading is the one that produces the most bitcoin for smart people, but also a lot of bitcoin is lost because a vast majority of the "traders" are gamblers. In my opinion they are not really trading, but they are gambling..  Cheesy
3285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: January 17, 2017, 08:06:25 PM
From my point of view there is a very very low probability that an "altcoin" could replace the "father" of all crypto-currencies,the all mighty Bitcoin. Cheesy
Bitcoin is on a continuous uptrend and daily more and more people and entities start accepting it. So bitcoin gains people's trust while a new coin would have to "travel" all the bumpy road that bitcoin passed so far.
3286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 14, 2017, 10:45:27 AM
Interesting matches today in Premier League but the sparkling ones for me are Swansea vs Arsenal and Leicester vs Chelsea.
Swansea-Arsenal: Even there is a huge difference in championship ranks between the two teams,I think there will be a surprise today and I'm gonna risk and predict a X.
Leicester-Chelsea: Chelsea is on the first place with 5 pts advance from the second place and Leicester needs the victory to climb up the ranks because they are close to the relegation space. I feel that I should take some risks today so I predict 1X for Leicester.
3287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 14, 2017, 10:39:41 AM
Inter Milano will have a tough match today against Chievo, but I'm sure they will fight with all their resources because they obviously want to catch a european cups spot. And losing one more match will place them even further from their goal. So I think it will be a close match but I'm going for Inter's victory.  Wink
3288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: January 14, 2017, 10:36:48 AM
Easy game today for Barcelona against Las Palmas. Going for Barca's victory and over 3 goals.
Atletico Madrid faces Betis tonight which again I think that the home team will win. Atletico is a hard-working team with a few very-talented players and with the support of the fans I'm sure they will win.  Wink
3289  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-01-13] China's Bitcoin Exchanges Quietly Made Policy Updates Overnight on: January 13, 2017, 06:58:23 PM
"China's major bitcoin exchanges halted, or otherwise updated, their lending-based bitcoin trading services today.

First reported by China-based bitcoin traders and market observers this morning, BTCC, Huobi and OKCoin appear to have quietly adjusted their terms, though only BTCC had moved to issue a formal comment confirming the changes.

Bobby Lee, CEO of BTCC, acknowledged that changes to the exchange's service were being made in response to interactions with the People's Bank of China, the country’s central bank, though he stopped short of saying that the service had been terminated or disabled."

3291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks accepting bitcoin on: January 13, 2017, 06:47:40 PM
Even though , iPayYou doesn't look as good as other services such as Bitpay for example , they managed to make Starbucks accepting bitcoin in their official application and that's definitly an achievement for a new service like them.
In order to use this feature , you first have a wallet in iPayYou otherwise It's not going to work. The next year already sound very promising and I can't wait to see more .

I'm really happy to hear this.  I think we need more big companies to accept bitcoin as a payment method so they set the trend and medium and small companies follow their example. But I agree that they should work much more on the design and site look. They should make it more modern and clean. In today's business world you need to adapt in order to survive!  Wink
3292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: January 13, 2017, 06:37:59 PM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?

No,that's a desperate move that only a desperate or gambling addicted man would do. Gambling should be made only for fun. I know a man who tried this and ended up losing his job, wife and house and I am 100% sure that are tens of thousands of men like this in the world. There are always solutions to your problems, you just need to be open-minded and willing to put in the work. Wink
3293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: January 13, 2017, 06:28:29 PM
I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??

Please tell me what do you think.

If you are analysing the markets and charts and you make your decisions based on that it cannot be considered gambling. Now if you blindly place 0.1btc long position on btc/usd and hoping for the price to go through the roof...That's gambling.  Cheesy
3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: January 13, 2017, 06:17:16 PM
Well, why don't you get a daily job and purchase bitcoins with a percent of your wage. Like 10% or 60%,I don't know what's your goal. There are some people who lost their investment value a bit but that is just because they bought when bitcoin was at very high price. I mean you need to analyse the market a bit before buying bitcoins. See if there has been a spike in price recently. Look up in the forums, what experienced people speculate. I believe there is a BTC/USD Wall Observer thread here on the forums. You might wanna check it as well.
3295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin #1 in Top 8 Tech Trends for 2017 on: January 12, 2017, 03:54:19 PM
I'm happy to see bitcoin first on this list. The people from lifehack are aware of the potential that stands behind bitcoin so respect for that. I mean come on..the blockchain technology has so many applicabilities on many niches and in the first row it is a huge innovation for financial institutions which are now actively studying and developing it.
3296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal? on: January 12, 2017, 03:40:22 PM
Hello,

I want to as is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal and don't get ban from them?

I have to charge my faucet but I don't have bitcoins to do it and I stuck ;/

You should stay away from paypal when buying/selling bitcoins. PayPal is not necessarily against bitcoin, but it is against people who run bitcoin/usd exchange service through them so as I said in another post I made these days: " you should use paypal mainly for shopping or sending money to friends/family and business" so remember paypal and bitcoin don't get along well. Wink

3298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: January 12, 2017, 03:17:31 PM
We need to raise the awareness of bitcoin indeed, but in my opinion the main reason why most people do not get Bitcoin is that they got used to fiat money. Also the so called "herd instinct" shows it's power. When people don't see local shops, merchants and the usual people accepting bitcoin and promoting it they think it is better to stay with their "trusted" banknotes than to risk anything.

At least that's the conception in my country. One idea I have is to get famous and important people use bitcoin. People tend to follow the lead of a more "powerful" man.  Wink
3299  Economy / Services / Re: What is meant by 'buy wall' in yobit ico on: January 11, 2017, 06:17:37 PM
The "buy order" is a list of trading orders made by exchange users who want to buy at a specific price. A "buy wall" is a big accumulation of buy orders  at a specific price that don't let the coin value drop below that(because of the big amount of demand at that price). Hope I made myself clear, but if you need more info don't hesitate to drop me a pm.  Wink
3300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I backup my bitcoin? How do you backup yours? on: January 11, 2017, 05:56:09 PM
You should use Electrum as it is a lightweight bitcoin wallet. And you can easily backup your wallet easily by exporting your wallet's private keys and seed to a stick for example or if you want to keep it offline make a paper wallet.
