3281  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BiddingPond.com discussion on: May 09, 2011, 08:41:40 PM
How about making a list of trusted sellers or something like that, cuz very few people ever leave feedback on Biddingpool...

I think people should just leave feedback on the site.  I did for all of my transactions.  It takes just a few seconds, it is easy.

If something goes wrong, list it on the site, and on this board so as many people as possible know.  I won four auctions, and was very happy with three of them.  The fourth, giftomatic, ripped me off and I left him a negative.

3283  Bitcoin / Mining / Todays difficulty increase to 156000, where from here? on: May 09, 2011, 01:23:20 PM
So in about seven hours the difficulty will change.  Where do you see it going next?  It is going to be around 156000 today.

You really need an ATI card to mine such as an HD 58XX or greater.  I am not sure you can break even on the cost of electricity with an Nvidia card without even counting the cost of air conditioning.
3285  Other / Obsolete (selling) / [sell] Bumper Stickers at http://cryptoanarchy.us/ automated online store <.3btc on: May 09, 2011, 02:27:53 AM
Our new online store and forum are now up.  Please note that the prices are listed in Dollars but at the final part of the process it is converted to BTC at the current mtgox.com exchange rate.  So do not be afraid when you see $1.50 for a bumper sticker, it is about $1.50 us in bitcoins so less then a bitcoin shipped for US orders.  It is not 1.5btc!

We will be adding more merchandise in the next few days.

Why not just run the store on testnet while testing it?

I am testing the interface to mybitcoin.com mostly.  No option that I know of for testnet.
can you confirm that this is still available?
Someone has taken the offer as of now, thanks!

3293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / test my online store .5 BTC [taken] http://www.cryptoanarchy.us/store/ on: May 08, 2011, 12:35:59 AM
I need my store tested.  http://www.cryptoanarchy.us/store/

You will need to complete a purchase from the store including making a payment.  You can do this for as little as .8 BTC. Please do not put in an order for more then 5BTC  Once it goes through I will (at your choice) refund your payment and .5 BTC more or if you would like to actually place the order I will just send you .5BTC.

This is for one person only.  Respond here saying that you want to do it.  Then I will say yes and you can start.  I am only going to do this for the person I give the OK to in this message board.

Thanks!

3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is MyBitcoin working? on: May 08, 2011, 12:20:21 AM
MyBitCoin.com was down for me a bit ago around 7pm EST, but it has come back and it seems to be working.  A payment was properly forwarded from them around 8pm EST.

3296  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Where Will The Difficulty Factor Go Next? (After it hits 140k next week)... on: May 07, 2011, 06:37:24 PM
I can tell you that the difficulty will rise to the point of mining just being barley profitable at average energy prices within two or three adjustments.   The only thing that will make mining more profitable is the price of a BTC going up, and difficulty will again follow the increase.

You will look back at this time as a time where mining was easy.

I am looking forward to the development of namecoin and a .bit browser plug in for firefox and others.  Then we could just type in the .bit name right in the browser.
3298  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will MtGox ever allow withdrawals using Dwolla? on: May 07, 2011, 02:02:07 AM
The first exchange to do this is gonna make a lot of money.

btcex.com exchange first proposed such service months ago. But this service has not been claimed because bitcoiners do not want withdraw money - they want to build a pyramid.

The only thing that matters is when someone gets dwolla working in both ways at an exchange not when someone thinks about it.  The number of customers and the amount of the transactions would be huge.

Currently gox is taking in nearly $1000 a day in fees (maybe more).  If gox get this first it will further cement them as the main exchange (as they are now) but if someone else gets this FIRST it will give them a change to pull many customers away from gox.

There could be problems, the number of transactions and the volume could 'scare' dwolla and they may not allow it or shut it down.
