Is there anyone know when will we register the BTX address? I remembered it will start from early October but not found in website.
You do not need to register your wallet for now. This was not an announcement yet.

Thanks. Got it.
Just found it is in discussing and voting time. Grin

Don't worry. Just check this thread from time to time and the first page and you should be fine. If the news is out how to register your address we will fire on all communication channels, no-one will miss out. You can also have a look at Telegram, slack, facebook, steemit etc., but bitcointalk should suffice.

Same goes for the final decisions for distribution and airdrops, we will give our best to inform all of our BTX-enthusiats and hodlers.

Meanwhile here is a small teaser for a few upcoming artworks: https://imgur.com/dGEZkWt
Unfortunatelly I can only access higher res versions when I am back in my office next week.

3286  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] Unique crypto artwork: The Great Bitcoin Hatching - limited first release! on: October 04, 2017, 02:57:44 AM
Today I proudly present a project I have been working on for several weeks now: The Great Bitcoin Hatching

The idea of a "creation of Bitcoin" artwork had been buzzing in my head for months when I finally came accross this wonderful eggy spot in a multi-dimensional fractal while trying some animations. After many dozens of hours of rendering, adjusting and postworking I finally completed this work. Here it is, showing Bitcoin hatching from its egg when Satoshi Nakamoto implemented the first version of Bitcoin in January of 2009.

Details on the print

print: 90 cm x 90 cm (35,4 inches x 35,4 inches), quadratic high resolution print
material: special sandwich panel using two aluminium plates (0.3 mm each) linked via polyethylene core (alu-dibond): very durable and visually outstanding
limited to: 16, all individually numbered in binary (see picture)
included extras: high quality wall mounting, hand signed and numbered certificate

Numbering on the artwork itself is in binary only. Certificate has the decimal numbering added in brackets.

Only 0/10 directly available purchase left!
look out for auctions of this piece or shoot me a pm

0111 (08): purchased and received by gocoins          1111 (16): reserved for myself*
*I haven't decided yet if I really need that special number to keep for myself or maybe just keep 0010 and put this one up for auction instead.
**If you are interested in this number I can switch it with any other available number. Not sure how to handle this, but this one will be given to a gallery and not be sold for the next 10 years unless a *high price yet to be determined* is bidden, then I might sell it and give 100% to one or several charities. I will discuss details with my family and am open for suggestions.

Additional info

- The first print (0000) will arrive shortly at my home (I expect 11th of October next week). Photos will be posted here.
- The numbering as well as my name (Kryptowerk) is integrated in the picture
- I guarantee that I will never print any more than the numbered 16 editions. Only exceptions are lower resolution prints (postcards size, definitly less than 30x30). Right now I am not planning on doing so at all. I will never release the original files to the public.
- I will probably include a guarantee card about the above terms in the final sale.
- All certificates are unique prints as they have the numbering embedded in the image.
- Auctions will probably start at 0.2 BTC maybe 0.15 and maybe 0.22 - haven't decided yet.
- Escrow accepted if buyer pays fee.
- I reserve all the rights to change any conditions until final deal is settled and payment was made. I doubt I'll do it, just trying to be on the save side here.
- I plan on releasing 0 - 3 crypto related artworks per year during the next years.
- shipping from Europe to anywhere possible
- Ask me anything but please don't spam my thread with nonsense. Thank you.  Smiley

Pricing

- 0.22 0.205 0.175 BTC (reduced two times due to the rise in Bitcoin price) per artwork (if BTC suddenly jumps to $7k or dumps to $2k I might adjust prices - I probably won't do that unless totally neccessary) done, 2x
- I will pay shipping up to 25€/$30 40€ (~$48), if higher buyer pays the difference.
- #0000 can be directly purchased for 0.44 0.41 0.36 BTC and will then be unavailable for auction

Shipping costs including packaging

Germany:      ~40 €, I'll pay 40€ -> +0.0000 BTC
Europe (EU)*: ~60 €, I'll pay 40€ -> +0.0030 BTC
USA:          ~90 €, I'll pay 40€ -> +0.0075  BTC
Canada:       ~90 €, I'll pay 40€ -> +0.0075  BTC

Note: Due to the size and an error in my calculation I actually have to pay 34€ more than stated above. However I will of course not charge you any more than I originally stated.

Due to the extreme rise of the BTC price I decided to lower the costs for the artwork again. However to create a fair situation for the buyers before the Bitcoin-rise I decided to grant a 20 - 40% off for one piece of my new projects (coming early/mid 2018).
This is the list for all users eligible for this discount:
- hybridsole
- vizique
- anonymous
- gocoins
- metamorphin
- dArkjON
- NattyLitecoin
- teeGUMES

UPDATE 2018-11-14: You will be eligable for a 25% discount on my upcoming coin project. TBA mid December 2018 / early 2019. In the works right now.

Also accepting LTC (litecoin), ETH (ethereum), KMD (komodo), DASH, GB (byteball), DCR (decred), STR (stratis), BTX (bitcore) and others on request.

Digital preview images

total view @ 20% (that means the original file has 25x the pixels you see here!), blue marks excerpts below

full size view @ 100% of the middle top part, giving an insight in the sheer detail and quality

more excerpts @ 50% showing some of the embedded details and texts

A photo for reference of a poster I created a while ago (size 120 cm x 120 cm - it's huge), printed by the same manufacturer - quality was pristine and I expect even better for the alu-dibond (it's 6x expensive after all).

Oh and here is what the certificate will probably look like - I plan on adding a holographic self-made sticker, will see if that's possible next week:

@Farox13: I really can't predict what the price is going to do after Oct. 30th.
There will 7M more Bitcore, but only a fraction in circulation/ only a fraction will hit exchanges... I think it will probably take 6 months - year until maybe 1/3 of all distributed BTX->BTC will move.
Regarding the fact that Bitcore has more to offer than all the other existent and upcoming Bitcoin forks I hope the market reacts in a reasonable fashion.

About my signature: WARNING, it is still aplha. When viewed at lower resolutions it does not scale well. Try reducing the font size and the length of the info text.
I will update this when I find the time.

I think the airdrop for BTC holder can bring our community. That's a good thing. Much coins include in the minority is dangers.
But there are not so much BTC holders will claim their BTX except the BTX price is more than 100 $.  Grin
Personally I believe even $10 could be the magic psychological line where many BTC holders decide to start claiming. We will see....
I definitly see the BTC claiming as an important part for the mid/long term of this project. It increases chances for mass-adoption and credibility due to Bitcore's fair distribution.

Btw, I created a basic Bitcore signature, the links will be replaced with newer ones, soon. WARNING: still alpha, does not scale well on slower desktop resolutions.

Will you ever use it again? You could direct your steempower to an active poster about Komodo and realated stuff, it's a relatively new feature on Steemit.

Haha, we definitely noticed that. Keep it up. Was just making sure you hadn't completely forgotten about your account. ;-)

3292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: October 02, 2017, 07:50:59 PM
Personally I will claim and dump, just like I did with BCash. Don't see too much exciting here that wasn't done before.

Everybody that is excited about the Bitcoin Gold GPU-mining feature, please take a closer look at Bitcore (BTX).
It is around for more than four months now, has all the good things segwit and bigger blocks can bring to the table, has a unqiue ASIC-resistant GPU mining algo and a fair distribution to everyone interested via multiple airdrops AND multiple snapshots for BTC.
Also the chain isn't 150 GB as all the recent normal forks suffer from.

For a start I'd recommend reading the bitcointalk ann thread or watch these videos linked here: https://steemit.com/crypto-news/@xwerk/news-massive-25-airdrop-for-btx-incoming-bitcore-promo-video

Someone asked the business lady for the promo picture.

Hahaha, I loled! Really cool that you do these on a regular basis, great community here!

Another YouTuber, The Crypto Type, recently made a video comparing Bitcore (BTX) to Bitcoin Cash. Check it out.

3294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Poll for BTX Distribution-Oct 30th on: October 01, 2017, 11:35:22 AM
I like both plan #1 and plan #4.

Regarding #4 I would suggest a declining increase of weekly airdrops, like + 3% + sqrt(week number), so for example
  • initial drop = + 3%
  • first week = 3% + sqrt(1) = 4%
  • second week = 3% + sqrt(2) = 4,41%
  • third week = 3% + sqrt(3) = 4,73%
and so on... (might make a spreadsheet for this one). The reason beeing with continouus +1% additions, we will be way over 10% after only 2 months, and every week even more, which would end the modl very soon and could come off as unfair for new investors that missed out on the drops.

Also I wouldn't really decrease the big drop to 15%, many people that are not as active to read all the updates all the time but just heared about the 25% plan could be disappointed. I don't consider this a huge problem, though.

One final note: I think the BTC -> BTX plan is crucial for the mid term. It may sound like peanuts for some of larger BTX holders, but could help generate thousands+ new Bitcore users, especially if we see prices of $10+ again (which seems like a psychological hurdle for me).
3295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTX Distribution-Oct 30th on: September 30, 2017, 12:41:16 PM
great, this is what i get for being a newb

Well ok, we gotta keep writing. WOuld like to have a say, even though it says noob. Is it after 30 posts that you get an upgrade?
Activity is based on your posts but only increases every two weeks. It cannot increase more than by 7 (or 14 don't remember) every two weeks. So you also need to be registered on the forum long enough besides beeing active to increase your rank.
But please try to continue to provide quality posts to keep this forum healthy.

@gwestcot: I understand your position about the general scepticism towards projects with a huge stack of coins held by devs.
However with Bitcore I think it is important to notice that the team of Bitcore (BTX) are publicy known figures who proved themselves over and over again, especially with their very established sister project Bitsend.
It's really hard to determine what is better in the long run: a slower distribution that also helps getting people involved later on or a fully distributed coin but with the problem of a short-period of high airdrops which can also cause huge scepticism.
3296  Economy / Collectibles / Re: f*D's NEW 2 Faces of Bitcoin (Bull vs Bear) - 4 coin set (4 finishes) on: September 29, 2017, 12:01:19 AM
...
Each set is composed of 4 coins (1.5″ copper/brass alloy) that are plated with antiqued brass, copper, silver and gold finishes. These proofs will each come unfunded.
...

Sorry, it's a noob question, but what metal exactly are the coins, and what do the finishes mean, are the actual metals you mentioned used for the finish or are they something different?
Thanks,
Kryptowerk

3298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RNDR Token - distributed GPU rendering on the blockchain on: September 28, 2017, 11:40:28 PM
Isn't this what Golem does?
Yeah I briefly thought about Golem, too, but I thought it would only be used for CPU tasks. However looking at their website they explicitly state that rendering would be one of the real-use-cases. If Golem can access GPUs that would indeed make this RNDR token quite obsolete I guess.
3299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RNDR Token - distributed GPU rendering on the blockchain on: September 28, 2017, 04:44:30 PM
I did take a look at the whitepaper...
Seems fine, although the technical part is very basic. Not sure if this project is in an already advanced stage. Probably not.
More info would be much appreciated.
3300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / RNDR Token - distributed GPU rendering on the blockchain on: September 28, 2017, 04:25:59 PM
I just found this, someone commented on a youttube video. I couldn't find a bitcointalk thread about the project and was wondering why there is none.
Does anyone have further information on this?

The idea looks good, would be very cool if there was a system competing for the render-power of GPUs that are currently mining. It could result in a reduction of difficulty for GPU based crypos if there is enough demand to direct GPU power to rendering.
However I have no idea if this a legit project.

The website is slow I wonder if they are Monero mining in the background.  Cheesy
