3281  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bounty Hunter/Sig Participant ka ba? Read This. on: December 03, 2020, 04:17:44 AM
May life hack akong natutunan along my journey in this forum. Kung kaya mo, wag na wag kang gagawa ng katarantaduhan na ikakasira mo. In my opinion, pinaka malala na siguro is mangutang lalo na at di mo alam kung kaya mong bayaran. Kung kaya mo na bayaran edi go dor it pero kung tolongges ka na titiklop edi wag na wag ka mangutang. Tandaan niyo na ang utang ay hindi masamang bagay, nasa sayo kung ano ang kahihinatnan nito.
3282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to know about this game. on: December 03, 2020, 03:33:09 AM
Marble race isn't something new, and I was a big fan of it a few months ago when some streamers play the "Marbles on Stream" game.
Agree that the hamster element is the new part and probably unnecessary because the track can be powered by electricity.

IMO this game is more like a lottery game or lighting dice —100% about luck.
If you want a substitute for horse race, I think that it will be a good alternative. I too find it quirky but they have a good concept.
3283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: December 03, 2020, 02:50:46 AM
By the way, the question about skill is very controversial in poker. Why do bookmakers accept bets on favorites with very small odds, and on underdogs with a large one in football? The answer is obvious. Now explain to me why there is nothing like this in the case of poker tournaments.
I think that that comparison does not make sense. The skill mentioned in poker is the mental skills needed. Bookmakers can't do odds bet on poker because it is complicated and there are more players involved in the game to make a bet on odds that may look favorable to the player. At the very least in sports there is a 50/50 chance that you can win and bookies does not need that much effort, just slap odds and you're good to go.
3284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blocked funds in a poker room on: December 02, 2020, 10:11:05 AM
When you say 32k, do you mean USD or BTC? this is some important information which you need to tell us. That's lots of hassle considering you've been constantly contacting their customer service for some months now.
Pretty sure this must be dollars but who knows. One thing I would like to point out is put up some links about the encounter, anyone can throw accusations and put them here so people can take a look. Also, mention the website and screenshot your online interaction with them to solidify your claim against them.
3285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blackjack card counting at live table games? on: December 02, 2020, 09:00:02 AM
To counter this, online casinos are employing a continue's shuffle machine making card counting not usable in online black jack. We also have this kind of topic here, Card Counting in Blackjack.
Thank you for linking my topic. I have done some research about this and yes you can't do much about it online. The profit is not worth the effort to count the cards and most of the time you might be wrong about your guess. There are on the other hand, physical casinos which you can exploit although it will be a mental gymnastics to do so.
3286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Non-Standard Casino Games on: December 02, 2020, 08:26:40 AM
Perhaps try sports betting (just to add if its interest you), poker, crash (though somewhat monotonous too). How about this one https://zed.run it's an online digital horse racing ere you can buy your own horse, breed and you can race it as well or sell it in an online marketplace, this isn't a casino but I think you have lot in mind so I thought you should try this different atmosphere of gambling.

I think the future of online gambling is the one you're experiencing the feeling like in a virtual reality but I think standard as you defines it will not yet go and people do still love it. I can't remember the thread in the Gambling board but it is played where you are predicting the value of the Bitcoin market you bet whether it will remain neutral, up, and down and there's just time allotment of around a minute I guess. You should check https://www.stake.com or https://www.Roobet.com with their online game shows like Deal or No Deal and much more that is new to me, check it out.
That is the sad reality about online gambling, there is no flavor and intensity when it comes to playing compared to physical casinos that are flaring with lights and the ambience sets the atmosphere. I agree that virtual reality is the hope of online gambling in regards to experience. I do love that there is still innovation to be found. The deal or no deal is something that piques my interest, I think I will check this one out.
3287  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying property with crypto on: December 02, 2020, 07:47:24 AM
The problem will become in taking legal measures. Many countries and courts consider Bitcoin a commodity and not recognized money, and therefore the commodity must be evaluated, and then a high-income tax is imposed on it.

If you succeed in finding someone who accepts crypto as a method of payment, it will be easier, but for a third party to enter to perform the transfer process, it will be complicated and cost you more money, indicate the source of the money and pay taxes on it.
Looking for this reply, because I want someone that thinks about the same problem that I saw about this dilemma. I do not have that much knowledge about property laws but I think that cryptocurrency is not covered in those laws, I think that fiat is the most viable method because you will be taxed for the property. You can exchange your crypto to fiat if you want because right now, there isn't a lot of real estate that have a mode of payment that is crypto friendly which they have no control of because the government has to back it up too.
3288  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS Sending Inaccurate Letters to Thousands of Crypto Investors Claiming Taxes on: December 02, 2020, 06:51:29 AM

this looks more like IRS incompetence to me. they know perfectly well that 1099-Ks do not show gains/losses. sending CP2000s based on gross activity is just a lazy way for them scare taxpayers either into paying more money or hiring a tax attorney to sort it out.

i feel bad for anyone receiving these letters. i wonder what the odds of an audit are if you don't amend or agree to the IRS' changes. it's gotta increase your chances. i'm just glad i've managed to stay under the 1099-K threshold. what a headache.

it's not just coinbase. kraken, gemini, and probably others send them too.
Good thing that in my country, we do not have to worry about this because they are indifferent to it and most cryptocurrency converted in fiat is already taxed when most people withdraw them and god bless cash applications because they add another layer of security for would be withdrawed money using their services, no tax just pay the percentage and you are good to go.
3289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza Hut accepts bitcoin on: December 02, 2020, 06:06:03 AM
That is a good step forward for corporations to integrate a payment system that accepts cryptocurrency. This is a good thing in my opinion, not creating your own blockchain like the other companies, they just want to be part of this growing bitcoin craze that only the pioneers will benefit the most.
3290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 02, 2020, 05:06:53 AM
Dude don't worry, you are not alone Grin. I'm pretty sure that most of us here are feeling like the way you do and as well as struggling on finding someone who can relate to unto us. But may I know first, on what country do you reside? I ask because maybe the crypto adoption there is wider and it just so happened that you are unfortunate to meet people having the same interest. Try to roam further. But well, if you came from a third world country like me then I can't blame you lol. It's really rare to find a fellow crypto enthusiast. And in my perspective, the reason behind all of this are the cause and effects of poverty. Our government tend to give more focus first on giving solutions regarding corruption, crimes, food shortages, transportation problems. Digitalisation/Modernization is the least priority.
Well, to be honest, it doesn't matter that only few knows about bitcoin, it is still not mainstream and media outlets love to shit on bitcoin whenever they can because that is the news story that sells, not to mention some countries including mine does not pay attention so much about bitcoin, like any corrupt third world country, they are busy with tug of war for power. I feel bad that modernization is the least because I believe that if this were the priority, countries will benefit and prosper more rather than maintaining archaic system that benefits the few.
3291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rant: If you have sell target, YOU'RE COMPLETELY MISSING THE POINT. on: December 02, 2020, 04:23:36 AM
Dude,

Forget bitcoin and the false religion nonsense.

Let say you won a 1 million dollars worth of gold, and immediately hid that gold, so no one could find it.

Say you, then lived 50 years in near poverty, little food, sick , unable to help anyone you cared for,
but your dumb ass kept that gold hidden.

Then you died,

a few years later a young kid found that gold you hid ,
and purchased a big house, had good health, a beautiful wife, and educated his children and passed on what was left to his kids.

If after reading the above, you can't see how stupid it is to be a hodler, then enjoy your life of poverty and loneliness .

Anyone sane , have a sell pointCool

This could be anyone who doesn't utilize the possibility of gaining through bitcoin. OP you should know that sometimes in life, you should roll with the punches. Can I buy ramen and 1 kilogram of pork with bitcoin in my country, spoiler alert: I can't. If only there are more business that are cryptocurrency integrated then your dumbass rant would be right, but no, you force people to your ideal that if they follow you, the world will be a better place. I agree with the quote above, what is the point of hodling when you can't reap the benefits.
3292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nearly $ 100 million worth of Bitcoin stolen from the 2016 Bitfinex hack has jus on: December 02, 2020, 03:26:49 AM
Why would it? It's not like the hacker could just easily dump all the coins on a spot exchange without him/her potentially exposing his/her identity.
If the hacker has a lot of wallets and a mixer I think that the hacker can easily, maybe they are just turning down the heat. And I believe that this hack is not just one person because they have a confidence to move the funds, that amount is a lot for one person.
3293  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is digital gold? on: December 02, 2020, 02:37:33 AM
Bitcoin gold is just a name that stuck over time. It is comparable to rarity and difficulty to obtain must be the reason that they coined it that name. I do not agree with gold being limited in supply, it is just that the more we get the more it incrementally becomes difficult to obtain, there is obviously a limit in gold supply but the universe is expanding so virtually there is no limit to gold.
3294  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: December 01, 2020, 08:49:35 AM
This is what I keep saying about paypal adoption and its effect to our crypto market. If paypal succesfully adopt crypto then other large company will follow and it's only matter of time until there's many integration to these traditional finance institution.
Although there's already so many services like debit card that uses Visa but if crypto could be accepted to many banks it will be even better. Just imagine when crypto reaches every corner of the world that's only possible if crypto considered as legitimate.
It will be a disaster if a lot of big wig companies adopt blockchain technology and bitcoin in their business model. They will not be in this to fully adopt, they want to copy how blockchain works and try to replicate it and make one of their own. There are companies right now doing this very same thing and I do not think it will a good news for crypto community when the masses are advertised to this company blockchain clone.
3295  Economy / Economics / Re: genius idea to fix all economy best idea on: December 01, 2020, 06:53:13 AM
Relax im just kidding Smiley
You know that most members are serious in discussing things here and you still pull this off, obviously you are a troll dude. Go back to 4chan. Did you know that if you crash the economy, you will suffer too, yes you might have a lot of money because you are in crypto but then you will be a target for the starving masses and crashing an economy is a difficult thing to do, maybe inflating the value of fiat via printing more but there are more factors.
3296  Other / Off-topic / Re: Income from Bitcoin investment on: December 01, 2020, 05:55:25 AM
There is no safe option for Bitcoin Holders to generate income,
Even by holding their crypto they are risking their money due to the volatility of crypto.
If you want to generate a passive income then you should invest mining or invest in POS crypto currencies.
I refuse to believe that there is no safe option. Safe option in this case is something that does not make what you hold stagnant. In my opinion, the safest option would be to invest it in crypto businesses. There was a thread where the OP is investing his bitcoin in a gambling website and that is where I got my idea about safe option for bitcoin.
3297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: December 01, 2020, 04:23:40 AM
If bitcoin is supported by the government then bitcoin will be able to be used for all kinds of illegal activities, which will increase the number of crimes and investors in bitcoin will lose their freedom bitcoin has a long way to go before it can be controlled by a decentralized government. The government of any country cannot control properly even if crime is created through bitcoin goes digital the government's fiat currency will suffer a lot will be difficult for the government to prevent.
That is not how it works, if government endorses bitcoin, there will be policies that is aligned to prevent illegal activities. The problem that I can see when the government is involved in bitcoin, an outrage to the pre-policy users will be outrage by the fact that they have to deal with bureaucracy. Also, crime prevention and elimination tools used by the government will be updated to catch up if they want to have digital currency friendly nation. I agree with you in a certain degree, maybe if the government is not ready to fight the dark side of things then I think that they should not put it into priority.
3298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Crypto users use VPN's ? You decide..... on: December 01, 2020, 03:37:12 AM
VPN contrary to popular belief does not really mask your geo location or prevent attacks. If someone use a geo sniffer on you then they can easily track you down, attacks on the other hand are very meticulous, they know how to bypass. VPN is just a private tunnel for you to access content outside your country to be honest. I do not see of using a VPN for crypto, in my opinion the best use is to create use a virtual machine. ISP's can still see what you are doing, they just don't want to meddle with your business unless authority has a reason to look into it.
3299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: December 01, 2020, 02:45:54 AM
Nah, what school are you enrolling for? Your tuition fee will be put to waste because your instructor or professor are having exact salary but are not doing their job. It actually not a good deal if I were you and your classmates should complain it to the proper protocol. And if you are doing gambling and that has been done in the classroom then hopefully you will not get caught.

Anyway, I can't blame you either playing poker is good actually and it could excite anyone who will going to play with it. There could be stress too especially when calling huge bet and you are holding good cards. Everything can happen and winnings could be possible depend on your luck.
It is a city sponsored so everything is free and it is a public school. I do not think that it was put to waste, forgot to mention that this all happened where we just need to complete our requirements so there isn't much to be done. We can't play real cards so we improvised and I do not want to divulge more about that, just trust me that we didn't get caught even though there is a hall monitor.
3300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: December 01, 2020, 02:11:59 AM
If you played poker in school it's not something you should be actually proud of. However, poker is game where you need certain skills and you are definitely forced to use your brains so it could be said that you've learned something from poker too.
I guess exactly because of fact that poker is skill game and players have the feeling of control makes it so popular.
I am not saying I am proud of it, it is just that a lot of time in school are dead hours and some instructors do not go in time or are absent, trust me when I say this, there are far more things that is done by my mates during that time period. I learned to read the room when playing poker, people even to a certain degree. It is difficult to bluff when the players are not pro. Do not bluff the fool right?
