I also did a pdf of everything.

It is on a custom sized file for a sheet of paper 68 inches by 68 inches  it fits every entry
If you look below you can see all the newer info is to the far right.
once those nine older members finish I will do another pdf of the full set and send the file to crpytoglance and z0u

we can then delete the top part of the list.

@ notlist3d

working on it.  and the eye doc is happy with my eyes

@ stef942stick   are you mining at address below?

4000 watts and 3 S7's should run fine- you have plenty of headroom

I am stable running 3 avalon6 on a single 2880, I suspect I will run into those issues without proper cooling. Shocked

I ran 17 amps x 240 volts = 4080 volts for 3 ½ days

2 scythe fans cooled the  dual psu  zero issues

i was doing 2 avalon6's and one s-7

Okay just woke up.

I will send info to Yan along with the coins.

I will pm his  account  here.

I will send a pm to him asap.

pm has been sent out.

So let's all wait and hopefully this all works out.

To any one that wants to order  we will try to get a batch of ten to do this again..

much thanks to all buyers Kilo17 and Yan

I have tracking for the ten to my house and the four to sidehack

the ten to me will arrive on Friday_ sent 2day air kilo17 stepped up for that

the four to sidehack will arrive on Tues sent ground.

I will forward the tracking number to sidehack.

I am interested in doing another group buy, but first want to these these first 3 up and running for a week to see how it goes. These are my first Avalon miners so want a bit with them since I am only familiar with BitmainCrap.

But I'll check this forum regularly to see when the new one is going to start.

yeah I am hoping the the 17 ordered all work and we have zero issues.

I do have 2 online and will offer some support.  I  will link to the threads that are helpful.

for most of today:

I will be at my eye doctor today. So reading threads and being online will be put off for a while.

that is from my compac stick thread

Hey, haven't been around much.

Why we changing names? Should I instead show shares per current round? This list will become massive if we keep changing names.

if you could remove the previous names and put the total as the first column that'll be great Smiley

If you want you can keep the existing table (for reference/curiosity), and create a new one before or after the current one  with only the Jan11* workers ?

We had drop outs  and the list got long and out of order so my goal is to cut off the top of the list

leaving only  the Jan11sticks
we need only get the last few on the top to comply

then you could easily see whom to take off. See  z0u's post he  puts it better then I just did.

Jul   27  current ½ ing  guess
Why 27? bitcoinclock has it at the 17th now.

I am not sure how they get the date.

Are they basing it on 9%

Are they basing it on 8%

Are they basing it on 7%

My July 27 is based on 0%

My early July 13 is based on 7%

So I am not so sure what % they use to get July 17

Anyone able to get extranonce working on Avalon 6?

Found this post on Nicehash but the image wouldn't work for me:
https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#sha256avalon

Also thanks phil and notlist3d you're guys threads, reviews, and advice have been a great help.  Smiley

Your very welcome I enjoy doing them.  I had not looked at nicehash in a while it seemed to be under 100 percent for a while.  But looks like it is up to plus  14% right now.  Is there a new coin? How many day's has it been up?

Thirty hours or more

^^ PM reply sent.

Thanks Philipma1957, Yan and kilo17 and every one associated with the group buy.

you are welcome.

I got ups tracking for the units to my house and to sidehack.

Pikachuy's will be shipped direct from block_c

at a price of 1112

I will get tracking for that tomorrow  As Yan has pm me he got funds.

Last order is  your's BigRedButton

He gets two direct from block_c  at 1112 + 1112 = 2224   as he is also west coast Oregon

If funds come tonight I would think it will ship out with Pikachuy's  on thur.

Down the road  if we order again it will be a bit more organized.

I really don't like holding funds  for a long time  simple reason is BTC could shift a lot in price.

More complex reason is fear of being hacked.

Also  if I hold funds for 2 or 3 or four days keeping collection open  before I send   some unknown issue could occur.

All coins are in the hands of block_c  .

trust me I have been here a long time  and it is better for the actual seller to have funds in hand rather then a guy like me hold and wait.

I need to go offline I will look at thread in the morning.
32869  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should I just do it? on: January 14, 2016, 02:56:09 AM
I am just now learning about what Bitcoin is and how it works. I am slightly if not totally confused. I thought maybe I would just DL wallet and mining program per YouTube tutorial I saw, but I am worried that I will screw something up. I just want to learn how it works and I learn much more efficiently through hands on experience than I do from hearing things explained, although that does help. I am a not very tech savvy single working mom of two, but I moonlight as an activist Grin and so I'm curious and really excited what looks to me like a global revolution and this new form of currency being a facet of that. I would appreciate any advice, definitely DONT dos, or links to some really solid information about Bitcoin and mining.

First off many scam artists abound.
Second where do you live?
A state if USA .
Or a country if not USA .

I ask because there are a lot of rules for and against Bitcoin.
If you want to mine what do you want to spend?
What does your power cost?
Single mom + 2 kids = danger with some mining gear.

You have a pc so if you want to learn I would say buy 1 usb compac stick from sidehack.

You can learn with that for about 30 usd. It could actually make money if you join my compac sidehack club.

Most likely you won't earn anything with a compac stick but the club is fun and you will learn.

Go to the pool section of this website and find the compac club.
32870  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Jan 13 to Jan 27 picks are closed. on: January 14, 2016, 02:03:27 AM

we made block 393120 2016-01-13 06:39:38 this was the 2016 block of last adjustment

block 393121    2016-01-13 07:03:04   this was the 1 block of this adjustment

block 393226   2016-01-14 01:48:42   this was the  106th block if this adjustment

so we are 19 hours and 10 minutes in      that should be    114 blocks

So real world actual time  we are at a negative number.  about   -7.02%

the problem is the network can do  25% higher then this speed.

So  while this low number is nice   the big boys crank it up and we pull a few 175 block days in a row and plus 8 %   or worse.

32871  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Avalon 6 Miner - Winter Mining - Notlist3d - Also FAQ and Help on: January 14, 2016, 01:31:12 AM
What do you guys think of this FAN as a spare replacement FAN for the Avalon 6 and S7?  I just swapped it on the S7 and seems a little quieter.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QWB1X3O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

CFM is at 224.  Any concerns?  Should be ok to use any PWM replacement fan that is almost equivalent correct?

at top speed it does 3 x 12 = 36 watts.

off hand i would say  look and see what the stock fans pull as 36 watts is a strong pull of power.

Just out of curiosity,  where do you get 68" by 68" paper? And what kind of printer do you feed it into?

the file would print on a 68 by 68 inch sheet of paper

I do not have one to print it, but  It allows an easy save of the data on the pdf file.
32874  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What causes the cyclical nature of the hashrate? on: January 13, 2016, 11:58:36 PM
There's a periodicity to the hashrate (https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate?timespan=30days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=).  I wonder what causes it.  The tides and moon?  Or has higher math found periods of greater block discovery that effectively have those in the know shutting down and restarting their miners to better profit?  The experimental method could prove it true or not if one had the math to calculate the points of inflection then just piggyback on their effect to the hashrate.  Two equal clusters of miners, half on the upper half of the cycle and half on the lower would show if one or the other turned more profit. If so I doubt they'd tell us.

I tell you what  I have avalon6's  and when I reboot they have a very big spike on the onset. Say 14th vs 8th it actually lasts for a minute or two.

It does show up at the pool I mine at.

Soooo  I do 1 reboot a day sometimes 2.

32879  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Jan 13 to Jan 27 picks are closed. on: January 13, 2016, 09:15:07 PM
Hey Philip, when do you think the halving will be based on the current difficulty increases and hardware sales forecasts? Looks like we are about to pull it forward to July 16th.

Well fourth of July would be all american  but I think   July 10 or 11.

9 hours and 14 minutes ago we made block 393120 2016-01-13 06:39:38

so since then we did 59 blocks   should have done  55 blocks  so we are at 7.27% real time

If we keep advancing at 8-10% per adjustment, wouldn't the halving come at 8-10% time sooner?

Right now cryptocoinnews estimates at 188 Days until halving, but if we continuously go at 10% wouldn't it be 18.8 days less? Thus halving coming late june.

we are not going to keep at 8 - 10%  without a price change.

now to answer how fast will we reduce    2016 blocks in 13 days vs 14 days is 155 blocks vs 144 blocks

or 7.64 %

so it is

 Jan 27
 Feb 10
 Feb 24
 Mar  9
 Mar 23
 Apr   6
 Apr 20
 May  4
 May 18
 Jun   1
 Jun  15
 Jun  29
 Jul   13
Jul   27  current ½ ing  guess

so drop 14 days = Jul  13

of course that is with 7.64%

Now  here is why it will not be 7.64%    14 adjustments at that number = a factor of 2.803  so current diff = 113  it would be

2.803 x 113 =   a diff of 317!

puts all .25 watt gear under water at 9 cents.

and remember the network has 400ph in  .5 watt or worse gear.

32880  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: GROUP BUY - AVALON6 - $1100 - Closing Jan 12 at 6:00 PM EST on: January 13, 2016, 08:29:26 PM
I just got off the phone with Yan  he will allow for the three buyers  that missed.

Give me a little bit of time  to set up .

I sent a pm to pikachuy note it is quoted from the one you sent to me.

I sent a pm to  kipper01 note it is quoted from the one you sent to me

@ bigredbutton  send me a pm I will quote it back to you

Future info

Yan has told me he is short staffed but is willing to allow for more orders.

He can not handle single orders and would prefer  a buy like this.

Basically we could do this again once we get close to the 10 plus level.

@Yan please post a confirm for future sales.

I am sending an email in a few.  Philipma1957
