3301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: May 10, 2017, 08:25:22 PM
Comparing it with math alone won't be good, because it is not just a matter of numbers itself but the reasons behind their increase and decrease are most important to be noted down in trading, and I think these such things come nowhere in gambling unless the type of that gambling is sports betting where analysis is needed, else other such games like dice need luck in numbers alone to play safe and come out in profit.

One of your transactions had had less fee, so it might take a few hours more before it gets added to a block, but the another one should have been taken into block which had 0.0004 BTC as attached fee. If ViaBTC is showing that error, it is because they have a limited number of allowed submissions that they can take in a block, and until they are processed, ViaBTC can't let other submissions take place because then, the game would be unfair.
3303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: May 10, 2017, 07:26:16 PM
So vDice project is altcoin project based on dice, Why I shoud invest on the site ?
Is there any calculation for the revenue from my investation ?

Why won't you be given any calculations for your profits that you will receive from your investments?
It's not just another altcoin project, but a website which has given an awesome opportunity to play there with an altcoin when Bitcoin's price increased a lot (ETH was not too high when vDice took place) and gamblers took much advantage of the website and are still playing. And when they have users playing on their site, I bet why they won't be able to pay their investors?

I think Vdice are paying dividend or the profit sharing to all the VSL coin holders on monthly basis so this is also a good option of buying and keeping the coin in the wallet to claim the profit share which is also a good profit for the coin holders.

Yes, this will also give good confidence to the investors because every month if they get some dividends it will attract many new investors as well. Also, ETH prices also going up along with bitcoin prices. Whoever has invested money in these cryptocurrencies this year has given them a lot of profits.

But for that to happen in reality, I think VSL needs to get listed on some popular major exchanges like Poloniex and Bittrex, because they hold almost 50% of the altcoin market share and getting over there would give much more exposure and volume as well as value to the tokens. Let's try to get it over these giants in the world of altcoins, and help it get valued higher.
3304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 10, 2017, 03:10:32 PM
We can see today that litecoins value increases 700% within a month, something astounding, but it also elevates the bitcoin value because the impacts of segwit on altcoin make it sticky and harmonize in volatility. So as long as altcoin continues to use bitcoin as the primary means of exchange, they will never replace bitcoin.
There are a lot of changes in the future as both are just a payment system or a platform to use, it will only work if we will support it with our fiat. Of course bitcoin is very popular now and the most popular among all the crypto currencies but we can never be sure what will happen in the future.
If bitcoin has surprise us from time to time, some alts might surprise as also, let's just watch out what will happen, what's important is crypto is progressive.

The only advantage of other altcoins now is they can adjust on bitcoin service, now that confirmation takes too long to confirm, some altcoins provides a way were they can deliver the transaction as fast as they could. Poor service transaction of bitcoin now may give a way to other alt coins to get known.

Some may change their mind ,it might not beat BTC due to its high increase , but because of this increase the features and transactions can’t be handle since there a lot of numbers of confirmation needs to identified, due to this some may lead to change in other altcoins than sticking in bitcoin poor service.

That's absolutely correct, because there are many altcoins sitting over there with least fee and higher rates and best features as well as fastest confirmations and better anonymity levels over Bitcoins, and due to such high prices; I see everyone getting into altcoins more than going for just Btc alone. I am feeling that some competing alts are already getting over there and may cover large share of Btc market cap one day.
3305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Soon Reach $1700 on: May 10, 2017, 02:59:44 PM
Price is consolidating towards $1800 back after a small dump seen in a matter of minutes when Bitcoin reach $1750 new ATH, it is currerntly $1779 and no matter what happens with the mining issues, we are not stopping hereby. I see it crossing $2000 in no time if we will be running at such high speed.
3306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Transaction fees on: May 10, 2017, 02:41:01 PM
The higher the size of the transaction, the higher will be the fee that they will charge and if you are talking about any wallet, then I would suggest you to use Xapo as they won't charge you any such high fee (they don't charge me fee either) for any such transactions. Else, if it's from an exchange, then we are bound to pay them, else they won't process withdrawals.
3307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin activate segwit as litecoin price peaks at 30USD? on: May 10, 2017, 02:30:40 PM
The Segwit-BU duo seems ended as there had been no more news coming up by the miners decided to switching over BU and they are already going to switch to SegWit because if they won't, they will regret. Prices for Litecoin has touched new ATH because I think these big competing alts have always reached ATH whenever Bitcoin got pumped.
3308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin UP = Altcoin DOWN on: May 09, 2017, 05:43:46 PM
Hi All,

Can you please explain to this newbie if this is the general trend:

Bitcoin UP = Altcoin DOWN

thanks

It's not the general trend anymore, because everything has changed since alts are proving to be working. Even if Bitcoin is UP, if the altcoins are preferred against Bitcoins' usage, I see price increase more than getting decreased. Altcoins are now more valuable than Bitcoins if compared in technology, and few have the potential too to soon take over Bitcoins.
3309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can I make 100$ in 2-3 month without a base money? on: May 09, 2017, 04:33:28 PM
You can make money without base money but only with a real life job. Even if you are thinking of making some money with alts, you surely need to have some bitcoins ready to invest into them, whether an ICO or some already listed reputed coins in the market. $100 is easily possible with a job, if you want to earn that online, try to find one based on your skills. I think fiverr is one of the best freelance websites where 1000s of jobs are available for us.

5.how I can know if the coin better to solve with GPU or CPU ?
6.who decide what coin is better or more value?

Thank you for your time!

I am only answering the last two.
5. It is impossible to mine Bitcoins with GPU or CPU, and this is even going worthless for alts too as more and more machines are getting added to crypto world daily, so change your mind if you are thinking that you can mine because you need to purchase very expensive hardware to mine Bitcoins.
6. Nobody is there to decide as it is based on decentralization and it is us who decide that at what rate we need to buy or sell our coins, which in other words, I would call as "freedom".

3312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 08, 2017, 06:56:34 PM
Sunrisers Hyderabad played really well to win this crucial match against Mumbai and this is a must win match for them if they need to qualify to play the finals and they have to win the next match and Kings XI is their main opponent to secure the spot, but Kings have more work to do to qualify than Hyderabad.

It wasn't SRH that played well alone, it was Mumbai who showed their worst game tonight. I would say "bad luck" for MI tonight as they suffered through one of their worst games through which RCB and other few teams have already suffered. But all I can see is, MI to reach the finals with KKR and we may see MI to be the IPL 10 champion this time.

SNIP
EDIT2: Another question to ask, is what is your opinion on the topic of kids gambling, do you think it is a growing problem or a problem alone for that matter?

EDIT3: What is the best way to counter this problem without websites having to know your exact identity?

I think gambling may be done for fun even by kids as I am not against it, but if parents don't keep control over their kids and give them money to gamble, then they will be responsible for the growth of addiction in their hearts about gambling. If you are not interested in letting websites know your identity, you may use websites where no verifications or account creation is needed.

PoS discussion apart. Guys, it seems ETH has reached another new ATH (oh so many lately) and it is not the end for price gains.
I wonder if that enormous pump linked to bolstered altcoin market confidence (all top altcoins gaining!) is reflected on vDice platform?
It should be the best time to gamble, use lower amount of ETH, collect big wins, right?

ETH price has lately been where it deserved to be, and I still see chances for it to cross $200 if such growth remains.
On the other part, it makes me feel a bit more scared to send my ETH to vDice platform as losing 0.22 ETH means we will lose $20 based on current prices, and I would urge the management to re-consider our request to lower the minimum amount to bet there.

Well, ETH is well established altcoin and it will reach even more value as the bitcoin prices increases more.  I dont think 0.22 ETH is much of a value when you consider that you can win a lot more by gambling at Vdice. It is one of the unique and great site which offers Eth for gambling.
Also ETH price is very less as compare to bitcoins, people who cant afford a single bitcoin, may find it good to buy few eth and then gamble them at Vdice and most of them also earning good profits.

Do you seriously mean what you said? I know that ETH is an established altcoin and may give better competition to Bitcoins because I see fee of Bitcoins more compared to alts and I have started using alts more than Bitcoins now and I also don't have any problems with the concept of the website. But, just think that if you lose 0.22 ETH, you would lose ~0.012 BTC in one bet. Can you really afford that loss? I am sorry, but I can't because I am not a millionaire yet.  Tongue If you have too many ETH, send me some, PM me for my address. (jk)  Grin I can assure you one thing that even if you bet on the least risk odds, you can still lose. That's what is gambling.

That's seriously great news, I don't know what such reasons are left for Bittrex to add it to their exchange yet. Let's help the managers and devs to get VSL tokens added over Bittrex and enjoy the ride there. I think it's great time we should poke Bittrex about VSL as well as vDice to get the tokens listed there.

Everyone would be doing it if there had been any such ways to do. Nothing comes in easy, hard work is always needed.
For anyone to make a living in Bitcoin trading, they need a bigger capital too as without the same, you can't even manage to pay your utility bill if you buy low and sell high, but if you deal in alts trading, then there is a possibility for you to gain higher profits than expected.
3319  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: April 20, 2017, 07:41:41 PM
Bitcoin has astonished everyone with its overwhelming performance since its beginning, and compared to Gold, it has shown various signs of running with stability as well as liquidity hand-in-hand. Gold should be preferred by those who believe in traditional ways of dealing their monetary assets while Bitcoin is for those, who are completely infiltrated into the world of modernization where technology is given more preference over traditions.
3320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: April 20, 2017, 07:35:19 PM
I don't think both of them can be compared, as paypal is a service - a mediator which transacts on your behalf through your bank account, card or loaded funds where Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency - a currency itself. Still, Bitcoin has more chances of getting accepted and used widespread as its fee is least compared to any services online or offline for monetary transfers whether domestic or international.
