3301  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Fucking Ponzi's and the idiots that buy into them + List of Shills on: March 25, 2014, 05:05:05 AM
gee my list of scammers & shills is growing quickly.

Quick note, dont bother private messaging me with threats of "libel lawsuits" like some big sook did on the weekend it just my truth-erection harder.
Do send me a summons so I can report you to the financial fraud dept of your country.

Defending Ponzi's gets you listed as "dangerous fucking idiot / shill", dont like it ? then get some common sense into you.

Stay true to yourself that is fine but can you please make the difference between defending ponzis and having an opinion that is between ponzi owners should be han.ged and ponzis are great?

I think ponzis are bad because most are sc.ammy and because it is gambling but a ponzi that advertise itself as such looks like a gambling game to me and I think I am not the only one who thinks that, Theymos said the same thing, do you think he is a ponzi shil.l?

I went up to 2200 with the 100 free chips :

551458138   boumalo   15:52   0.00001100   2.00000   <49.50   41.2   +0.00001100
551458083   boumalo   15:52   0.00000100   2.00000   <49.50   12.97   +0.00000100

Did someone go far enough to withdraw from the free 100satoshis?

There is a 0.0001 fee to withdraw so withdrawing with less than 0.0002 doesn't make sense

Ive gotten to .001 with the 100 free awhile ago

3305  Economy / Speculation / Re: URGENT, Bitcoin is on the verge of collapse !!! on: March 25, 2014, 02:43:31 AM

I see a post exactly like yours almost every single day, either on bitcointalk or reddit/r/bitcoin or somewhere else.  It's like all of you guys are believing something will be true without thinking it completely through.  Just saying something will happen some day doesn't make it true or even remotely possible.

So let me ask you a very simple question.  Let's assume for sake of argument, that a cryptocurrency's price stability needs to be at ~$100k/unit (and in the hands of over 200 million users/holders) to be considered stable *enough* to be used as a viable currency.  So do you believe that one day a better cryptocurrency will just pop into existence, and will have an overnight valuation of $100K/unit immediately upon entering the market, and immediately dispersed to 200 million+ users and millions of merchants accepting it?

If your answer is Yes, then there's no point arguing with you because you believe in something that will never happen, ever.

If your answer is No, then you must realize that any competing cryptocurrency's value will have to be grown from the ground up, just like bitcoin's.  And currently, bitcoin has the lead in network effect of exponential growth.  Any other competing cryptocurrency, while it matures in valuation, will have to go through the *exact* same volatility as bitcoin.  And if this is true for all cryptocurrencies, then why would anyone switch horses from BTC to a less mature cryptocurrency when the ultimate goal is to get to a viable market saturation, merchant adoption, and thus relative price stability?  It took bitcoin 4+ years just to get the valuation it has today, and so it would with any other.

Not to mention that Bitcoin is open source and programmable, and can take on new features any time the core devs and miners decide to incorporate them.

My answer is No.

And I do realize that building from the ground up "again, again, and again" is not only possible in technology, it is mandatory.  Do you still use VHS? Probably not.  DVDs - blue Ray?  Probably not. Haa! you are on Netflix or iTunes Store now...  It took 6 years for VHS to get general acceptance over Beta format. Who won?  Netflix.   For now...

It is a terrible message to hear when you are an investor, a speculator, but this is life.  Please, be open minded and adapt. Something better always pops out!  Isn't great?  That how we evolve.

VHS providers and DVD providers still made a lot of money

Dvd still make some money

Bitcoin can adapt

Google and Microsoft are still here...
3306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 25, 2014, 02:42:15 AM
ehhh, I don't like the way this looks, I said a few days ago I thought we had one more big dip left before we take off, and I still think that way.

<snip>

Wild guess on timeframes? <500 before the end of this month, >1000 by the end of April.

I did quite well accumulating between 500 and 450 the last 2 big dips, I'm still thinking we could see the mother of all triple bottoms before April hits.

of course, it's still just a feeling, a "wild guess".  Just be careful out there.

It is  the way I "feel" myself, one more big dip before we rise but a bigger and more agressive dip this time, a scary dip

Let's see

ED are you going to add a faucet ?

Oh dear.

What's your problem against adding a faucet? It allows newcomers or those who lost all BTC to join the fun !

Well, in general I think that sites are harmed by giving away freebies like that because it encourages freeloaders who will never deposit to try to take advantage of them.  If it's a brand new concept the people don't know about, it makes sense to let them try before they deposit, but it's not like anyone doesn't understand how a dice site works now.  I'd rather have them take the coins they were going to give to freeloaders and instead use them for frequent player promos.  It's good for players and good for the site since it encourages deposits/play.

But I was saying "oh dear" because the person who was putting in several coins worth of action is now asking for a faucet.

I would like some kind of promotion such as the 0.001 given to the biggest player every hour, it could be 0.01 to the biggest player of the day and 0.1 to the biggest player of the month
3308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin will go down on: March 25, 2014, 01:16:11 AM
The price is manipulated by wall st now. It will rise when they want it to

Most markets are manipulated, Gold is manipulated by the US government and the big Wall Street banks, Bonds markets are manipulated by the FED, Bitcoin market is likely to be manipulated by big BTC holders and exchanges more than WS atm

The price will likely go up and down and the same over and over again. The next investor rush will happen and the price will eventually rise even higher than before as Bitcoin gains more acceptance.

The volatility is high but adoption is improving, economic turmoil and inflation will push the price higher

Nothing better than seeing the train live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lutNECOZFw

The guy on that last video was getting a little too excited considering the speed that train was going though.  Much like some of us here I believe. Tongue

Yes hahaha the video is so funny

Comment of a youtuber 2h ago :
"At first you think "what a loser." Then you remember that millions of people do the same thing to football and its completely acceptable. Its his hobby."

My nephew is really interested by trains, he may not scream that much if he sees a train he likes but close
3310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: March 25, 2014, 01:07:19 AM
the early posts are the funniest to read!! well BTC will get up there AGAIN eventually
Most of peoples posting here without any analysis or research just because of this we cannot say any thing about this but we need some good news's for touching this 1000$ again
good news could be: Ebay or Amazon start accepting bitcoins
I doubt they will, at least not in the near future. Bitcoins are associated with drug and weapon trade in mainstream media, neither Ebay nor Amazon wanna get that anywhere near their brand names.

I don't think they don't because Bitcoin is associated with d.rug and weapo.n trade in mainstream media because USD is  associated with dru.g and weap.on trade as well but they don't because they are afraid of legal repercussions and maybe they don't think they will benefit that much from accepting it

When it is main stream and the price is 4 digits they will have a bigger pression to accept it

So admin is keeping an eye on this thread ..!
So anyone here keeping a track of numbers already guessed .?
anyway my guess for the day

243

No admin is not keeping an eye on this thread, his last post was 3 weeks ago and it was his second post on bitcointalk

Look at last page comments, we may even have guessed most numbers between 1-1000

From what I can see, most guesses these days are duplicates.  I decided to set up a spread sheet the other night because I was bored. From what I can tell, there are still around 100 numbers that have not been guessed, if not more.

It is unlucky that we guessed 900 wrong numbers

I guess you created a new account to make this give away for some reason but you have an other account on bitcointalk..

I can't think of a good reason to do so...

Exactly, it's not like he could have legal troubles by using his normal nickname

How many times have you tried before winning the first 10x bet?  Shocked
probably at least 10 tries.

Yes I tried a bit more of 10 times before getting my first x10 right but the first 5 times I did x10 I lost the 2x bet that followed

The 6th time I did x10, I won the 2x that followed => 2200 but lost the 2x that I tried right after Grin That was the end of playing the PD faucet for me
3313  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: MTGOX <-> BTC BID/ASK on: March 25, 2014, 12:04:36 AM
That's exactly the type of argumentation I was trying to read

The price is somewhere around 0.10-0.30 but the deal doesn't seem easy to do

If you want to take a bet, you might want to research the various btc betting sites and see if you could set up such a bet and get any counterparties to that bet.

It may be possible but it may be hard to know exactly what percentage the clients received if they don't receive the same percentage when they lost fiat or btc

I will just forget the mtgox fiasco and try to accumulate more bitcoins before the spike up to new highs Wink

It is really often the same story with ponzis; we had the same pb with makeBTC; I am quite happy I didn't invest in this one

You think they won't run bc they are making a lot of money..

Ponzis like weeklyponzi.com ponzimatic or coinpayoff send you your payoff as soon as they can so you don't have much money tied up in the website, just one deposit if you deposit once at a time
3317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: March 24, 2014, 07:28:14 PM
If you bought a lot of BTC a long time ago it is a good idea to cash out some to buy some precious metals

That's what i've been doing for the last year or so. When i was young, i never thought i'd do magic tricks for a living, but here i am turning invisible coins into real coins  Cool

It's also why i mess around with the stock market. We all know it's a sham, but yo whateva. We live in an irrational world, so why not use irrational systems as vehicles to accumulate real wealth.

yup, the sane go no where in this world.

Silver back under $20!

yes, silver lost like 3% in a week. BTC lost 10%   Roll Eyes

anyway i only care about $18 for silver... that is the line to watch

The FED began to taper but they will probably soon reverse the tapering and increase QE to make everyone whole in less valuable $

OK i have implemented a referral system.

http://xbtcontracts.org/referrals.php
(you must be logged in to view!) I will be finalizing the copy for this on the website over the next day or two, but the referral system is tested and working and any referrals you get going forward from this point will be counted.

That could bring some depositors, is that my ref link http://xbtcontracts.org/r/index.php?ref=boumalo ?

Can you tell us more about what advertising you want to do to find new players and if you decided on doing a sig campaign or not : 0.01/week for 50posts minimum would get you a lot of attention in this forum so it would get you a lot of deposits

Can't wait to finish contract 5 to get my withdraw and start advertising the website, I hope you understand that I can't do it before I am sure it pays bc I don't want to advertise a s.c$$
It is very ealry, if you do it right a lot of people can make a lot of money
yes that is your ref link
i am advertising the site my self on various websites and networks and now members can advertise the site using the new referral system and receive the bonus.
If i implement any other ideas in the future i will post about it here first just like i did today with the new referral system.
If you dont want to advertise the site until your first payment is recieved that is fine by me. The only person missing out will be you. I have made many payments to existing members already.

I think it would be better to give 10% of our referral deposits no matter what bc now you have the risk of not being in the first 10 referrers

I understand that we only get 10% of our referral deposits for 1month

I will only advertise when I will have received a payment, i have never heard on anyone on bitcointalk that received a payment and that is why people are not massively investing yet
3320  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you spend BTC daily in brick and mortar stores? on: March 24, 2014, 06:28:36 PM
No, because it offers me no benefit over the existing combination of cash, debit card and credit card.

It offers you lower fees and it could work anywhere in the world with the same currency BTC.

Nowhere I shop charges different fees depending on whether I use cash, debit or credit card.
So I see no reason to think that a Bitcoin payment would be cheaper than those.
I can use my debit and credit cards anywhere in the world, and being in BTC would only be useful if I was being paid in BTC. Otherwise I have to encur exchange fees to go from fiat->BTC, just as I would from fiat1->fiat2. No advantage there.

You could be paid in BTC or Gold if most fiat disappear and the merchants pay huge fees to use debit and credit card systems, so you pay them indirectly when you buy
