Ok, lets say for a sake of the argument that you are not connected to createspace and that he just copied your bitcoin address frame you (for what other reason would he do that?), how do you explain connection with another bounty abuser via sending BNB? Is it another coincidence?

Here we go again, bitcoin went down and doom&gloom threads started popping out. Worst of all, from someone that is in crypto for longer period of time and has seen this several times before. Regarding Elon Musk, Bitcoin is not Dogecoin and it doesn't need to be saved by him, nor it was before.

3303  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Altcoin novosti on: May 12, 2022, 08:29:50 AM
A neznam ni ja, eli eto sada kruze svakakve teorije.

3305  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 12, 2022, 05:28:49 AM
Basically you are claiming that Blackrock and Citadel sold BTC and UST at a huge loss hoping that they could turn it into a gain by buying it back at a lower price.
Where the hell did you see me claiming anything in that post? Read my post again and you may notice that I simply shared one of the theories that I've seen circulating around and that's about it.
3306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UST Stable coin depegs from dollar USD may Crash BTC,cause crypto death spiral on: May 11, 2022, 04:22:19 PM
Or, it was all just a scam from the start and in the end it really was nothing but another scamcoin P&D just executed with a bit more finesse.
We only know what we can see, we don't know what we don't know. So this could have easily all been a setup from the early days just waiting for everything to fall into place.
That's certainly one of the possibilities, that Do Kwon played the long con and that this is nothing but a rug pull disguised as an attack. It certainly wouldn't be the first time we see something like that. Speaking of Do Kwon, just saw an interesting article about his (alleged) previous involvement in another failed algorithmic stablecoin, Basis Cash.

Do Kwon, the CEO of Terra creator Terraform Labs, was one of the pseudonymous co-founders behind the failed algorithmic stablecoin Basis Cash, CoinDesk has learned.
Basis Cash (BAC) was a closely watched revival in decentralized finance (DeFi) circles when it launched on Ethereum in late 2020, just before the launch of terraUSD (UST), Terra’s flagship stablecoin. Like UST, BAC sought to maintain a $1 peg through code, not collateral.
But it failed: The token of this long-abandoned project never achieved its target of dollar parity, sank below $1 in early 2021 and was trading well below 1 cent on Wednesday. Now history appears to be repeating: Over the last three days, UST sank precipitously below its peg, going as low as 27 cents in early morning U.S. hours Wednesday.

I'm not sure if the rumors are true but I saw a thread about this which they are saying this as pure market manipulation.
The link is from
Code:
https://boards.4channel.org/biz/thread/48625257
I'm going to quote it because reading the text from there is very much hard, it will be easier if I separate the paragraphs.
Saw that speculation as well, not sure what to think of it while the most plausible one I found so far is this one. Either way, it was definitely a market manipulation and someone made a lot of money off it.

Anyway, do you think its a good buy for Luna as it now dips below $3? Unbelievable dip really so I'm doubtful whether they could recover.
Its a pure gamble right now and I personally don't wanna touch that shitcoin at all, even though chances are decent that it will eventually make some pullback or at least dead cat bounce before it goes below $1 once again. Terra priority right now is their stablecoin and to do that they have to screw LUNA.

I wouldn’t buy a hardware wallet unless the amount of your bitcoin investment is hefty, say a few thousand dollars and up.
I don't think that someone has to have thousands of dollars worth of crypto to buy hardware wallet, if he plans to stay in crypto for the longer period of time. Back in 2017 I was hacked and I lost 90%+ of my portfolio, leaving me with only few hundreds of dollars worth of crypto. Since I knew that I plan to keep buying bitcoin on the regular basis and that I am into it for the long run I bought hardware wallet anyway, just to be safe.

@OP no need to spend ~$150 on a hardware wallet, there are cheaper and reliable alternatives.
3309  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 11, 2022, 03:24:27 PM
We are in May only, plenty of time to nominate something for the Fail of the Year award in Community Award four 2022.
True, plenty of time left but it will have to be spectacular to be bigger fail than this. Then again, knowing how unpredictable crypto market is, nothing is impossible.

How come so many people are still so gullible/greedy after all those years of ICO scams and premined shitcoins?
Because there is constant influx of new people, while older ones that went through 2017 ICO boom and are still buying shitcoins like LUNA are nothing but degenerate gamblers.

Theories on what really happened today are popping all over the internet, this is another one I stumbled upon in one Discord group. Dunno if it really makes sense but here it is:

Quote
Blackrock and Citadel borrowed 100K BTC from Gemini (it appears in their loan book). They swapped 25K of that BTC into UST; this was all done quietly in anticipation of the attack. When the time was right, they called up Do Kwon at Terra Foundation and said they wanted to sell a lot of BTC for UST. As it was a large trade they told him they didn't want to move the market and asked if he would like to buy their large block of BTC at a discount for UST. Do Kwan took the bait. He gave them a huge chunk of UST, thus lowering the UST liquidity significantly.

At that point, Blackrock/Citadel dumped all of the BTC and UST causing massive slippage and triggering a cascade of forced selling in both assets. The real problem was Blackrock/Citadel knew that Anchor, which holds a lot of LUNA, was a Ponzi scheme (they offer 20% staking APY for Christsake) and this crash would trigger more withdrawals than Anchor can repay. These forced withdrawals and selling would trigger a massive selloff in Luna, thus further breaking the $1 peg and wrecking the market further. Blackrock and Citadel can now buy the BTC back cheaply to repay the loan and pocket the difference. Meanwhile, billions of longs and Bitcoin VaR were wiped out.

This was pure market manipulation.
3310  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 11, 2022, 12:27:14 PM
According to this post, someone earned hundreds of millions of dollars from shorting by manipulating UST and it's "backing". I don't know if it's true.
The article that is shared in that post is based on this tweet and even that guy said at the end that there is a lot of speculation and assumptions in his scenario how all this played out. But yeah, point of all this was obviously for someone to exploit their faulty mechanism and make money no matter the details how it exactly happened.

And for the reply guys, yes I know a lot of this involves some speculation & assumptions.  But a lot of money was made here either way, and I thought it would be cool to dive into how they did it.

I can't think of any logical way for this to work.

UPDATE, I just converted my $100 USDT to $250 UST, and it's my first time buying a "stable coin" because of the fluctuation.

Let's hope this will be a lesson for those trying to make a quick profit by adopting a "stable currency" and beginning to develop a better model.
Now if it goes back to $1 levels, this is a $150 profit. Grin I hope that happens quickly.
Good luck with this. Couple of my friends decided to gamble with LUNA and UST earlier today and they are getting rekt.

So far this has been the fail of the year and it won't be easy to top it.

3311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: May 11, 2022, 10:19:22 AM
Instead of timing the market (which you will most likely fail) to buy altcoins, why not instead buy bitcoin to minimize the risk? That way you won't have to obsessively follow the market to find the best time to sell it like you have to do with shitcoins since they have short pump period which are then followed by the dump. And yeah, best time to buy bitcoin is always now.

Also, if you think that bitcoin might go down more (and that could be the case), you can always use DCA method.

3312  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarized Whitepaper - Existence Infinity Metaverse ($EXIS) on: May 11, 2022, 07:15:10 AM
Are you guys investigators?

Lol so funny , You should be in FBI
Salty much?

To bust your little scam attempt one doesn't have to be an investigator or in FBI, all that is needed is Google and couple of minutes of free time. Better luck next time as we know that scammers like you always come back, but seeing this pathetic attempt aka "Existence Infinity Metaverse" you will get busted once again.
3313  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 11, 2022, 06:49:06 AM
Early on I was browsing the Twitter feed from luna and god, there is such an unload of denial and copium there, every fleeced or near to be fleeced "investor" screaming how somebody destroyed this because it was threatening them...
It's much easier to swallow up the loss if you think that there is some big conspiracy targeted at you just because you are so good instead accepting the simple fact that someone exploited their flawed mechanism in order to make shit load of money. Like we haven't these things happen before..

Meanwhile, Luna:
Hah, $13 was a good price, now it's below $8 with plenty of room to go down even more. Couple of my buddies decided to gamble and started buying at sub $10, hoping for a dead cat bounce, will see how that plays out.
3314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to live a peaceful life? Without drama? Then HODL and enjoy the ride on: May 10, 2022, 03:30:17 PM
I really don't get these "ranked" people (legend\hero\etc) who keep claiming to HODL for Life and will never sell....

WHY DO YOU HAVE BITCOINS???
Some people simply use it as an investment only rather than currency. While I think that bitcoin should be used   (and I spend bitcoin on the regular basis) as what it is initially intended for, everyone is free to use (or not) his bitcoin as he pleases.

Every Legendary who is NOT a millionaire by now has simply : FAILED !
That's just straight up bullshit. Didn't you just say that people should spend bitcoin and not just hodl it, so how the hell should someone become bitcoin millionaire if he bought his first bitcoin 3-4 (it takes up to 3 years to become Legendary) years ago, and keeps spending it all the time?
3315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Paradox - a Simple Online Scam Honored as Deity on: May 10, 2022, 02:51:01 PM
Stop. Leave this place. Nobody agrees with you.
Antikvark/Fxsurfer/Antithesis and now under new name Snowshow will keep coming back as long as people keep seriously answering to his drivel. He knows that he won't convince anyone in his bullshit like we all know that we won't change his opinion so what's the point in playing another game of pigeon chess with him? He is obviously ban evading but too bad that forum staff is not willing to ban his last few alts.

His last topic had 17 pages, let's see how many this one gets. Over and out.

3316  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 10, 2022, 12:34:24 PM
If it happened once, the only question is when it will happen again.
You have to be either naive or insane to keep hodling this after it (hopefully) reaches $1 again.

You can hardly lose money in a more bizarre way if we are talking here about something that should be stablecoins - although one such move is quite obviously completely wrong and is the result of panic. As far as I can see the price has returned above $0.90, which once again shows that panic and inexperience are not a good combination when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies.
Yep, it sounds completely crazy to loose $30k+ dollars by panic selling stablecoin and if didn't know guy that told me the story IRL I would have thought he was full of bs. What's even worse is that guy isn't newbie at all but he panicked at the sight of stablecoin dropping like 30% in a few hours and managed to sell basically at the bottom. I can imagine the chaos and panic if tether did the same...
3317  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 10, 2022, 07:35:05 AM
Today was a nasty day for the peg. It’s down to 0.60 and no signs of recovering.
From what I can see on Coingecko, the lowest it went was 0.66. Its still wasn't good at all of course, but its not a negligent difference since we are talking about bitcoin. Its back to $0.9 now by the way.

Wonder if the peg will go back to $1.
It probably will eventually, but its a good warning to all those that are holding large amount in stablecoins. Speaking of that, friend told me this morning that one of his buddies panic sold at $0.7, and he had six figure amount of TerraUST. Somehow I doubt that guy will touch stables ever again.
3318  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarized Whitepaper - Existence Infinity Metaverse ($EXIS) on: May 09, 2022, 08:42:15 PM
I see people praising Certik here, remember Arbix Finance? Fully certified by Certik, pulled a rug scam, and investors were left with the certification.
It just shows how bar is set low in crypto where such an incompetent and shady company as Certik is probably the market leader. I read recently that they managed to raise ~230 million dollars in the last year or so, with $2 billion evaluation.

They are so shady that they have no issues certifying obvious ponzi schemes that then use Certik name to appear legit and attract investors. Last year I reported one ponzi scheme that was in the process or auditing by them. I provided them all the evidence but they simply didn't care, ignored my warnings and gave that scam nice rating. Gg.
3319  Economy / Economics / Re: Is TERRA/Luna kickstarting a new Bitcoin Standard? on: May 09, 2022, 08:23:26 PM
It was a momentary dip, followed by a quick, and almost complete recovery.
Looks like yet another TerraUSD dip happened tonight, and this time it was way more serious as it went all the way down to 0.93 but this time it didn't recover, at least not yet.

3320  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: May 09, 2022, 08:50:04 AM
