Finally! Klay Thompson is back and they win the game against the Cavs today. This is what we have looking for and we are watching it right now. the old days are back with the GSW splash brothers and some other addition to the team makes them an NBA Finals contender once again.
Western Conference suddenly became scarier.  Grin Not bad for a debut for Klay Thompson after 2 years of rest. A dunk, three 3-pointers, and a block.
But why do I feel nervous whenever he trips, slips, or lands his feet after a high flight? I guess I am the one with the mental issue now instead of him. Trauma.  Grin
It's a good sign if he can dunk during a live game, that means he got over the mental problems whenever a player comes back from an injury. All the time given to him resting and preparing was worth the wait.

Yeah, that drive and a dunk, oh so scary but at least he didn't fall hard on his feet so I guess we now feel confident that he is really back. Concern though is Draymond Green, seems that he is still nursing that injury so it might take some time to see him in the Warriors uniform.

So GSW goes deep again with Klay back in the line up, I think it's only Phoenix or Memphis that can match GSW right now in the West.

That was sick.  I will be honest I didn't expect the type of bounce he had out there.  Interested to see how he holds up multiple get a week, but his conditioning looked good.  Had his legs into each shot and was nimble around the rim.  Golden state just got scary again.

That game last night was the best finish to a season I've ever seen.  The amount of 4th and longs that the Chargers completed to tie the game up and in overtime! Lol.  I mean a 4th and 21 with 2 seconds to go in the game and they hit that.  Only to have their coach swipe the game from them.  I don't care what anyone says the Raiders were going to lay it down and kneel saying they didn't want to risk a long field goal.  Once they got the first down after the timeout it was a wrap.  Just glad I'm not a charger fan right now.  (Being a giant fan my hopium wore off in October 😀

Took yesterday off tonight there are some interesting games.  I like 2 games tonight.  I like the Pelicans +8 on the road.  Was even toying with taking them to win outright.  Pels are better than their record says, I think they pick up some wins here.  Second game I like is the bulls -2.  Yeah they are in Dallas but with kristaps out they can focus their defense on doncic.  Gimme the bulls -2 here.

Good luck tonight everyone

1-1 yesterday
Bulls looked decent put of the gate but got blown out in the end.

Tonight I'm going with 2 games:

I like the Knicks-6.5 at home against the Spurs.  Knicks are up and down but get a depleted Spurs team.  They should be able to control the flow of the game here.  Also taking the under as a hedge in case Knicks go through a scoring drought.

Then second game I like the cavs on the road -5.5 in sacrento.  The Cleveland bigs should have an easy time inside agai st the kings.

Good luck tonight everyone

The Chargers and Raiders tie is in play, god i wish to see both teams kneel for 0-0.  Grin

I'm glad the Colts are out of the playoffs, they cost me a ship in the other forum league last week with mediocre fantasy performance, and with that loss today some sizeable bets. Jeez. I wish i've seen that stat before the game:

Jaguars at home since 2015:

vs Colts:                       7-0
vs everyone else:       15-35

edit;

I was wondering what would have happened if the Steelers / Ravens tied?

A tie would have eliminated both the Steelers and the Ravens, at least that's what Scott Hanson on NFL Redzone said during the game. Ben had to throw (and completed to Ray-Ray McCloud) on 4th and long with 2mins to go, they had no other option.

Yeah both of the teams had to press a tie did nothing for them.  So it's Pitt and the winner of tonight's game unless it's a tie then yes both of tonight's teams get in.  If they played for a tie the rest of the league would slaughter them.  They could technically both kneel and guarantee themselves in.  Imagine being at that game 😂

Just don't expect too much though, he obviously still needs to get back to playing condition and it's definitely not easy having been out for 2+ years.

Contrary to all feedbacks that he will find his rhythm first, I'm thinking the other way. I'm expecting him to be in his usual shape and form once returned. The reason is simple, his mindset was already prepared for long that's why no need to find that rhythm as it's already there. I also don't think he will have a limited playing time. I guess he will play around 30 mins. on tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Before anything else, let's see then later what he got after a long hiatus.

There is no way he gets 30 minutes of run that's like 3/4 of every quarter.  Guys that are in game shape have a tough time being effective that long.  He will get tops 10-15 minutes.  Practicing with your team is an insanely different flavor than game speed.  They don't practice at game speed.  When guys are out for a month they talk about it taking time to get back into game shape.  Dudes been off for 2 years.  I hope for the best but it will be awhile to see how this will all play out.

The Colts are really dropping the ball, the Jaguars have a lead of 23-3 on the third quarter on a game that is decisive for them, are they missing a bunch of players or something? Because even if the Colts are not a super team or anything like that losing against the Jaguars is without a doubt unexpected, now if the Colts lose and the Steelers lose as well, as it is the case at the moment, then the Raiders are in the playoffs, leaving the Chargers and the Ravens to fight for the last spot available.

Yeah that definitely makes today's later games interesting.  The indy loss keeps Pitt or Baltimore hopes alive whoever wins that game.  Who figured jags gonna beat indy with a playoff spot on the line and Detroit looking to upset green Bay.  Wierd way to end the season for sure.

Well to be fair Greenbay sat most their players but No-one Saw the Jags Beating the snail snot out of the colts!

Yeah true and good on Detroit for coming out to win.  They could have layer it down and got the number 1 pick in the draft not that there is much of a difference between 1 and 2 this year.  But yeah the jags I thought were dead money.  Indy completely collapsed.  They can still get in but they need some help from other teams.

That one under number #4 (don't know what it is).  But going up 18% on $2k daily volume shouldn't be in there.  With volume like that you can manipulate gains and losses because one small buy tilts the needle.  If you are looking for a real Guage on meta coins and how they are performing against bitcoin I would only consider one with millions in volume.
3308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 09, 2022, 09:08:19 PM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary

Yeah and 99.9999% are worthless clones or straight scams.  Best bet is to not try and hit on the new projects rather wait to see them succeed and then come in on them.  Yeah you will miss the early profits but you hedge your downside risk which is massive.  No way any of these "projects" survive a bear market.  Happens every market cycle.

Nets couldn't have an easy win against Spurs today. It is still good for them to win by 121-119 after overtime. Spurs are not one of the fascinating teams of this season in fact but they still did a good job by making difficulties for Nets in this game. Harden and KD had the role to carry again and they did it successfully. I think that Harden was better as he made a double-double by 26 points and 12 assists. And if he was able to get 3 more rebounds, he would have made a triple-double.

Surprised to see it come down to the final minutes in this game.  Spurs aren't that good and starting to wonder how the Nets will hold up in a long series versus some upper tier teams.  The Nets are definitely better with kyrie but seems like kyrie isn't gonna bend and get vexed, and ny isn't gonna bend either.  Should make for an interesting situation where the Nets would be better off as a lower seed and on the road more than home for playoffs.

Correct me if I am wrong but is this the first time this regular season that Warriors had back-to-back losses? It looks like they are not as deep as we thought they would be They don't have Curry and Green in their game against NOP but their starting line up was still decent. Ingram just outperformed Wiggins.

Losing that game does t really show anything to me.  Pels aren't as bad as their record and Ingram is a thousand times better than Wiggins.  Yeah if the top two dogs for any team is out and are on the road it's pretty much a loss.  They are deep but they were playing against a full strength pels team.
3313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 07, 2022, 11:35:29 PM
Only a couple games tonight but I like 2 home teams.

Gimme the KNICKS getting 2 points at home.  Celts are decent but lost 5 in a row on the road and the second game of a back to back.

Then...give me the Pelicans -1 against the Warriors.  Won't say that too often but GS has a ton of guys benched.  Pretty much Wiggins and Poole versus the Pelicans.  Gimme the home team here and an L for the Warriors.

Good luck everyone tonight all!

Good if you got the Pels at -1 mate, because GSW doesn't have answer to Brandon Ingram.

And when we thought that Jordan Poole will step up in the absence of Steph Curry, he just had a measly game. Wiggins lead the way with 21 points but it wasn't enough.

They've tied the game at the end of 3rd or start of the 4th if I'm not mistaken but the Pels scored 6 successive points and that cushion was enough.

wheelz1200 got his 2 bets right, both games are close but what matters is the bet won. Congrats @wheelz1200, that's a perfect prediction, looking forward for some tips on the upcoming games tomorrow. If you have a bulls vs Wizs analysis, I'ld love to read and follow.

Yeah was a nice 2 for 2 night.  I'm not touching that game although if I did I would take the Bulls but would take the money line on that.  Here are my 3 picks tonight that I like:

Philly -8.5 against the Spurs at home.  Embid should manhandled the game and go for 35 and 15.  This should be a blowout although I wish Maxey was playing.

For the second time this year...gimme the Lakers -2.5 at home against the Hawks.  John Collins is out and he is key to the Hawks.  West coast trips are tough for east coast.  Gimme the Lakers here.

And last I like Cleveland on the road -5.5 against Portland.  Portland is good at home but dametime is out tonight and the Cleveland 3 big are playing real strong.  They should control the paint and win easily here.

Good luck tonight everyone!

Don't know if anyone watched but that knicks game was the game of the week.  Knicks down 19 at half.  Fought all the way back with Fournier going 10-14 from 3.  Tatum hit a monster 2 with 1.5 seconds left to tie the game back up for the celts, then rj Barrett drops a fade away 30 foot bank 3 to win the game at the buzzer.  Felt like a playoff atmosphere.  Both teams deserved to win tonight.
3315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What projects can surprise us in 2022? on: January 07, 2022, 12:00:00 AM
So the year 2021 is coming to an end. Happy 2022 everyone!

This 2021 year , a lot of interesting things happened, we saw new ATHs, dumps and pumps, a bunch of opportunities, big profits, hype meta and p2n game and much more. I wonder if 2022 will be the same rich and positive year for the crypto market!

What altcoins can make huge breakouts and surprise us with new ATHs? Which blockchain will become a worthy competitor for Etherium? Personally, I think that Near Protocol, as the most scalable and accessible blockchain, can greatly surprise us... As well as the blockchain Flow adjacent to the NFT and the game sector. I think they can make a splash and also repeat the success of Solana in 2022!

I think helium or HNT will surprise a lot of people.  Already over the billion $ cap mark so not a little player.  But their technology is getting proven out and with the city of San Jose signing on to use helium I'm hoping more cities take advantage of what can be sector changing technology.

I know it's only one game but it's a big game for the Knicks.  Facing the Celtics both sitting at 18-20 in a divisional game.  Knicks have to start winning these games if they want to start moving up in the standings.  Also a home game which they haven't played all that well at.  I hope thibs throws the kitchen sink at them this game.  Just can't let jaylen brown go off on the Knicks, he usually kills them.

No need to introducing polkadot, an open source blockchain platform which is skyrocketed by its price and now people accepted it as trustworthy and without asking any proof. now it is worth $27 and it went at $53 as ATH. I want to hold this Most discussed altcoin after ether and bnb. Is it possible it could reach $100 or more in next bull run? Or It would suffer to break its old ath that time due to competition with similar project?

It's all dependent on bitcoin price.  If bitcoin goes to a milly then yep $100 is reachable.  If bitcoin goes to $10k, $100 is almost impossible.  That is the problem with trying to price alts in usd.  It all follows bitcoin usd pricing.

It appears that I will be finishing our league in the bottomest of the bottom hehehe. I was honestly not playing anymore as proven that I have not been changing my line up or going to the waiver wire to trade in better players.

In any case, it was fun for my first time and a good learning experience. I cannot wait for the next season’s draft hehe! In 7 months?

It takes a coue of times to get some of the nuances down.  The draft is key.  You can't win though on just a solid draft.  Need to be active all year checking out the waiver wire, looking at possible trades.  Know who to start and sit during certain games, etc.  Either way first time or 100th time there still is luck that needs to be on your side.  Especially with this covid thingy Smiley
3320  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 04, 2022, 07:46:51 PM
The year 2021 has come and gone and has left behind some great lessons, most especially as it relates to our economic life and how we balance the sheet at the end of every calendar year. I have drafted my economic plans for the year 2022 and may be interested in learning some lessons from them. The number one thing is to know how much capital I have and how long can I invest in it and what are the percentage profits turnovers, after that, I will look for the right investment to invest in and how much I should invest in it. Then I will try to diversify my investment. I will take less risk this year but make my finances more stable with some skills development.

The best path to building a solid portfolio is to cost average into different positions at regular intervals.  By cost averaging  at regular intervals you limited your downside and upside risk.  If a coin goes down your new buys will bring down your cost average, and if the coin Rockets up you get to catch some of that upside of that rise.
