3301  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or blockchain? on: October 21, 2016, 01:19:26 PM
I have both, but I more like coinbase than xapo. After coinbase released etherium wallet, I turn my ETH wallet to coinbase. For faster coinbase is good but for secure I think xapo is leading.
You cannot be serious.

1.Coinbase is not a bitcoin wallet,it's a damn bitcoin bank ran by corporates.
2.Coinbase is not anonymous and the keep track of how your coins are spent/where they came from.
3.Xapo does the same, offers free bitcoin transactions with other constraints.
4.Don't be surprised to wake up to your wallets being hacked.
5.Hey have you heard of bitcoin core? Or electrum ?
3302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How House Edge effect on Wining on Bitcoin Gambling ? on: October 21, 2016, 01:09:53 PM
I am new on bitcoin gambling, what is house edge means and how it affect on gambling ?
If you know please let me know. Smiley
Finally a good thread in the section after quite a long time!
If you could use google, the first results are -
Quote
The House Edge is a term used to describe the mathematical advantage that the gambling game, and therefore the commercial gambling venue, has over you as you play over time. This advantage results in an assured percentage return to the venue over time, and for you an assured percentage loss of what you bet.

which I'm sure it's hard for a beginner to understand. To put it in the simplest way as possible, basically, you pay particular amount of money to the gambling center as a service tax (just assume that). In typical casinos or poker games,a particular amount of predefined % is given to the casino per game.So if 5 people are sharing a table and the final game turns out to be a total of $500,according to predefined rate, the money goes to the casino from winners pocket.
3303  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help me to make this a bitcoin related website on: October 21, 2016, 01:01:44 PM
Hi
I own this script (http://marketplace.crivion.com). It is website & domain auction script with paypal and stripe integrated. I will add bitcoin to it. I am not looking to run a website & domain marketplace as it is already exist in the market and most of them are failed. I want to use this script to make something other than website and domain marketplace. I can hire a developer to do that.

What you would like to recommend me?
-You really think you can compete with flippa ? They're your strongest competitors in the market.
-They don't accept bitcoins at the moment but according to their blog post they're planning to,soon. You may have a chance that way.
-Did you write the script?Bought it ? If you can code that script, you possibly can set up a website yourself.
3304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really that special to you what are you're expectations in bitcoin? on: October 21, 2016, 12:40:27 PM
Im from the Philippines also and I wish like you do that stores even coffee shop will accept bitcoins. But what i want the most is the window shopping in online stores such as Lazada  so I can shop without leaving the home. But nevertheless the very important thing that  almost everybody expects is the increase in Bitcoins Price. And thats what it makes so special.
Window shopping in online stores ?  Huh

You can use services like purse.io and shopwal to buy stuff from ebay or amazon. You can pretty much get everything there.Since you're speaking of your local shopping site, instead of waiting for them to accept bitcoins,I'd start a service on my own which lets user buy stuff from that site with bitcoins.A business idea for you right there! Smiley
3305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: October 20, 2016, 02:08:00 PM
Either you start with a smaller or bigger amount the most important factor is how knowledgeable you are about it and what strategy you will follow to make profits and reduce the risks, and if you can manage this then rest everything will be fine with you.
Knowledge is not important unless you have applied it practically.Applying it in this context, simply knowing when bitcoin rises and what to do when that happens is not as important as making the right trade with profitable margins at that exact moment. Each and every second counts.A smart trader would play with a few satoshis real time than reading pages.
3306  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web wallets with no transaction fees charged, for how long? on: October 20, 2016, 02:02:32 PM
Xapo and Coinbase are web wallets which allow transferring bitcoins free of charge.
Never used either. What else are you compromising for the few satoshi's saved as transaction fees ? Your anonymity I tell you.It is ethically wrong in the bitcoin world to do that.Against the correct use of bitcoins I'd say.

Maybe, there are a few other wallets that do the same and pay the transaction fees for their users. But what would happen if Bitcoin price rises manyfold and the fees rise proportionately in fiat terms? Will these wallets raise the transfer amounts above which the network transaction fees will still be paid by themselves or will they just begin charging their clients the fees in full?
No one knows. The rise in the price of bitcoins would hike the value of coins in your wallets as well so exchanges giving free transactions shouldn't be a problem.Blockchain.info does charge for tx,use that as an alternative.
3307  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Shopawl started accepting eBay orders! on: October 20, 2016, 01:54:14 PM
Awesome ! Purse.io for Amazon & Shopawl for Ebay.com, I'm pretty sure that a few years from now, Bitcoin community won't need Bitcoin debit cards or fiat anymore as all will be available for BTC.
The only problem is,sometimes these services don't turn out as they had promised to be.Purse.io have had a few issues lately.I personally had bad experience from them. The product never got delivered, fortunately after continuously disturbing them I got the refunds. Thanks for the update shopawl, ordering a product as I type! 3308  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Needed for New Casino With Collateral on: October 20, 2016, 01:48:30 PM
Hi, I had previously posted in the securities section of this forum about a new casino that I am trying to start and that I was asking for investors but now that I have gotten responses on the post I have come to the conclusion that none of the responders are actually wanting to invest in the casino
You're wrong. They're ready to invest in a casino that exists and not just an imagination.Since you know no one is interested in investing, why start this thread ? Roll Eyes

I am not able to make enough money to pay back the loan I will of course give up the casino and everything related to the casino including the website and domain name to the investors of the loan as collateral.
I doubt you even have a clue what a collateral is.Please read the stickies or google.com.What to do with  your failed casino if investors gave you 40 bitcoins?  Undecided

Also I am asking that the investors in this loan not put a time frame on how long they will give me to pay back the loan in full and for that I will give up equity in the casino as a way of saying thank you for allowing me to pay the loan back when I can from the money made from the casino.
And what makes you think your casino will be a successful one? Do you know the market?

for the casino will be worth roughly 32 Bitcoin and I am asking for a 40 Bitcoin loan in order to buy the software, domain name, website, and pay for advertisement and promotions. Also it might be worth pointing out that I will not have to pay for bankroll since I will be using the MoneyPot Bitcoin API for the casino in order for me not to have to worry about bankroll.
So you've the software, the domains and everything.Do you think your casino will automatically start minting money ? If I was you,I wouldn't start a casino even if I had 40 bitcoins.
3309  Economy / Services / Re: girlbtc:finding an escrow for 0.5 btc for this thread on: October 20, 2016, 01:39:07 PM
Is there any restriction or qualification for the person you are looking for to escrow a certain amount? I am interested if you find me trustworthy. I thought you are escrowing your signature campaign funds?
Certainly.
Why should anyone consider you trustworthy around the forum? Your feedback? Reputation? Your trust feedback speaks for itself!
Doesn't matter for what purpose the amount is being escrowed.Let's just assume he escrows the amount to you, what's the guarantee you can provide that you won't run away? You have nothing to lose but a forum account..
3310  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: October 20, 2016, 01:16:44 PM
If you have more questions, please let us know, we gladly answer them! Smiley
Why not start a same promotion for Epl/other leagues ?
Of course with conditions,I love playing parleys.Consider football matches a particular week and ask people to bet on all the matches that week as a parley  (with minimum betting amount). The user that gets all the wins (only win conditions here no extra betting that is goal scorer/high lows/double chances),gets his money + a promo amount. The users that lose all the bets or say 4 bets out of 5,get's all his money back.
3311  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Where i gone wrong? on: October 20, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
Hi
As everyone knows that i thrived many bitcoin projects and different ideas but nothing worked out for me. My last project was An exchange marketplace (INCUREX) where people can find and meet the different exchangers Bitcoin to PM etc.
This site last for only two weeks got few exchangers but no one gets online on that exchange and then people start fading away and at last time came and i had to shut down.

What possibly can be reason of its decline? I think people wasn't interested in it at all.
The problem is,you've small visions.Speaking logically, what do you know about the market before starting a new project ?Have you studied your competitors?Have you seen their product?Have to admit, your product is not upto the mark to compete with the market.Simple.Secondly,your ideas are not creative, they aren't even concepts.Start thinking practically, getting coding done by an average coder to set up the working project in 2 weeks is not how you're going to make it big.
3312  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Loaning System for BTC on: October 20, 2016, 01:05:51 PM
I'm contemplating on creating a loaning system for BTC.
Much saturated market filled with scammers and liers.Document forgery I may add.

The idea would be to have a hall of fame and a hall of shame. To get a loan you must first provide either something valuable (keys or something) or a picture of you next to your ID.
Really? How difficult is it to photoshop that? Or ask a random stranger to do it on your behalf. This is 2016,you're thoughts are still stuck in 1980's mate.No offence but it just wouldn't work out.

Then people who pay back on time will be added to hall of fame, if they don't they will be added to hall of shame along with their face.
So I will scam 2 bitcoins for once and maximum damage could happen to me would be a place in your website's hall of shame section? Cool.Wouldn't be that difficult to get stickied in your HOF section over and over.

Do you guys like this idea?
Yeah, just not sure about the amount of bitcoins that will be stolen.
3313  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2016, 12:59:03 PM
My opinion is I can't spend it freely like other payment methods. There're still few shops that accept bitcoin as their payment, especially in my country. Bitcoin isn't commonly adaptable in here.
->Stop comparing it with other payment methods, use better real life implications.
->I'm sure you can't walk into a shop and pay with other digital methods.
->You can pretty much buy everything with bitcoins as your payment methods, you need to find the right sources.
->Speaking of adaptability,it starts with you,my friend. And your comment tells me you're not ready yet.
3314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What software companies should accept Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2016, 12:54:58 PM
Quoting the title :

Re: What software companies should accept Bitcoin?
What for ? Not all software companies are directly linked with the clients, you don't pay him directly hence they using bitcoins or not  shouldn't make any difference to you as a consumer.

We all have that application we use every day, and we do not want to use traditional payment methods like Credit cards to pay for these
Agree.Giving it a thought from companies Chartered Accountant,it would definitely help make the transactions faster, easy and avoid those secure credit card authentication. Now,companies need to keep their financial documents/tax returns/expenditures/what we call net worth.Do you think they ever honestly prove it? They could easily use random bitcoin addresses and store the cash without paying taxes and only show the amount they want to? Big loophole here?

upgrades on new versions, because we cannot trust them. Give me examples of software companies or applications you would want to
I want to get rid of paid software anyway.I started using more open source stuff. Smiley

3316  Economy / Services / Re: Offering escrow services on: October 15, 2016, 10:21:50 AM
Title says it all.  I have been here a long time, have done a few transactions.  My account is mine and mine only, never sold, never bought.  Escrow terms are simple, i'm doing this for free, but tips would be greatly appreciated.  Online pretty much all the time normal hours EST and evenings/nights.  Will mediate problems, proof of everything will be required if that happens, so keep a record of everything.  Looking forward to helping members transact with Bitcoin.
Never found you posting around.Plus, your feedbacks speaks for itself.Have you even staked an address on the forum before ?In my opinion offering escrow services without having a reputation besides from the feedbacks is more imp and you don't have either. You need to reconsider your choices.
3317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 15, 2016, 07:57:05 AM
I am with Pakistan winning this test match.
That sounds very illogical. One game in the 100's doesn't stand in favour of their team.West Indies still has the best batsmen. If Pakistan could give them a lead provided they're playing under pressure,West Indies would show their best since the team is known to hit wonders when in such situation.I hope they prove you wrong.
3318  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: October 15, 2016, 07:40:29 AM
Bitcoin is the future of money i say, even in present situation, when we look in past we see bitcoin already made alot of progress in such a less time, which shows its potential and i believe in coming years it will be accepted by more and more peoples, businesses, companies all over the world.
Well, that's difficult to predict. Not sure how bitcoin will change the future of digital money but blockchain surely will.Bitcoin still has scalability issues for it to be accepted by multi-national organizations.Let me give you an example, consider two companies having a trade worth million dollars using bitcoins.
-The confirmation time ?
-Fees will increase drastically ?
-Will the be accepted by the network ?
-Will that amount of bitcoins be available when needed?

More constraints to be considered to predict anything about the future.
3319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 15, 2016, 07:30:03 AM
Arsenal vs Swansea City there is no doubt Arsenal is on fire and moving with winning streak, I have Arsenal -1.5 @1.72 as it will have this clash on home ground and on other side Swansea City is looking just crap that is why it will be easy for Arsenal to win this match easily.
They just have better players, to be honest.I wish they'd show the same "fire" when playing against Chelsea. The odds are too high for an obvious win.I'm rather playing at both teams to score having my other bet that is Arsenal to Win as a back-up.I hope Swansea scores at least one goal in the match for me to have a two-way win!

Does indiegogo allow me to list out any bitcoin related project onto indiegogo and accept payment for it in bitcoin ?

Is there a filter for getting selected to be listed on their site. I am interested in crowdfunding a mining rig I am working on.
1.Yes,there are already a number of bitcoin-related projects listed on the site.Try using the search filter.Oh and your idea is already been asked before https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/bitcoin-farm-expansion-entrepreneur unfortunately it didn't raise a single penny as investment. They don't accept bitcoins I believe.

2.The projects listed there are quite realistic and have the blue prints ready.Mining rig and stuff is scams you know.If you still feel like giving it a shot, start here.
