when does the sig.-camp. ends?
can i remove the lisk sig now?
Since now your in the dumb pile, did you make sure to save your keys? I know ICO participants need to generate keys before Lisk launches, but I thought signature campaign participants don't need to. The post quoted below gave me the impression that signature campaign participants don't need to generate Lisk keys until after the launch of the coin. I thought participants would be contacted after the launch and asked to generate a key through the Lisk wallet. Did I misinterpret something, should signature campaign participants generate keys now? ...
IMPORTANT! The bounty campaign is finished! We will contact you for your Lisk address in the beginning of April and will distribute the bounties as soon as possible.
...
Please, regardless of what you have read anywhere else that makes you think twice about generating your keys. 100% of LISK investors NEED TO GENERATE KEYS. This has NOTHING to do with any Signature campaign. You will not miss out on it if you contacted them early enough to get your name added to the campaign list. GENERATE YOUR KEYS NOW, YES THAT MEANS YOU. You the person reading this, Did you generate your Keys?

Anyone have a guess on when we can actually hold the LISK we bought? Instead of having it sit on someone else's server?
Dude, we fucking answer this question like every single page. Anyone have a guess when idiots like you will read a few pages back instead of asking this very question every single page?

We must pay more attention on promoting Lisk and making more Dapps...
The delegates issue, the Lisk team, can think a manner..
Maybe 1001 delegates? Or 1 delegates per person...I dont know...
But the rewards should be used to promote Lisk, its better for Lisk and for yourself.
That is subjective. I understand the fear but if someone is going to manipulate it, they are going to do it regardless of it's 1001 delegates or 101 delegates. No matter what the rules people provide, even if there is a 1% advantage, there is someone willing to take advantage of it. That is human nature. If you change the system for something else, they will still come and try.

What is all the delegate thing ? I'm seeing it more and more, but I still can't see what it does mean. The fact that there's a list of people help me a bit, but I still wonder for what has this list being made. Maybe someone can enlight me ? I'm waiting on my plane so my answer will be short. Lisk doesn't have hundreds of thousands of greedy competitive miners wasting electricity by the nuke powerplant. Lisk has exactly 101 trusted delegates that cooperate to add blocks to Lisk blockchain. One single hash per blocktime instead of wasted trillions like BTC and ETH. So Lisk can run on a 35 dollar raspberry pi instead of an ocean of ASIC or gpu rigs. Economy of scale hugely favor Lisk in the future and 101 delegates are at the heart of Lisk. And anyone can vote for anyone, or a voter does need to have some LISK ? Is it proportional to the stake of the voter (more LISK = more votes) ? yes votes costs lisk I don't think so

Hi Lisker's!
In my professionnal life I have over 15+ years of experience as web developer and sysadmin. I now work in a big cloud company as SysAdmin DevOps Senior. I follow this project for the last month and I invested a fair share in the ICO. Also I plan to be active on the voting system. (The right to vote give the right to bitch, sorry translated expression)
What I can offer is:
- Dedicated physical server (Dell R200 with Xeon Quad core, 4 GB Memory, Battery backup and RAID1 HDDs)
- Dedicated VLAN for network isolation
- Top of the line security system (firewall/antivirus/monthly security update/etc)
- Professional monitoring system to minimize downtime to planned maintenance
- Always up-to-date lisk software
- Sharing reward to fund good dapp project
What I can't offer is 'over promotion', 'buying vote system', etc.
Do you think it worth it that I start preparing a dedicated server to be delegate ? Do you think best setup over 'social media/ forum popularity contest' will have chance to be 'elected'?
I'm not only asking this question to decide if I'll run for delegate but also I have concern that popular joe blow with basic desktop computers will run those nodes. After reading the guide, I'm asking myself about security audit of the known ip of the elected node, also about ddos protection ... Do you think 101 nodes is enought to protect against those treats ? Could it be problematic to the project ?

given the insane btc invested here (wherever the hell it all came from??) - will LISK be providing a legit breakdown doc showing where and how these funds will be spent and managed?? i think investors need serious transparency here with this kinda money. no BS basic "whitepaper" either that so many devs drop.
Piston, devs said already many times this funds will be used to the good, they didnt make a full plan cause you simply dont know what you would raise. It could be 100 btc or 15000. Now they know im sure there planning a future roadmap, but first a good launch is needed. And so far everything went really smooth and controlled make me complete calm with this investment. i would expect both a roadmap, and expenditure accounts to be published on a regular basis. this is not la la land. Does Bitcoin or Ethereum do this? SO TRUE! Where the fuck is Bitcoins Roadmap?!?! i don't want the market to equate the fucked up governance and process of bitcoin with Llisk. i want Lisk to be as far removed from bitcoin as possible. do you think apps developers will want to invest their resources in a new coin that emulates the behaviour of the bitcoin crew? That is your opinion but on this specific topic which is the trustablility of projects requiring a future roadmap and spending plan be established right away. I'm just stating that the things people shout out here in this thread as being of utmost importance are not really as important as they may think. Has nothing to do with lisk being like bitcoin, just that bitcoin has low amounts of the things people are requesting that a successful coin should. Has anyone beat bitcoin yet? nope. I'm just pointing out that everyone seems to know exactly what needs to be done to be a huge success but there is no evidence that those things create success.

On my side, I contacted OKCoin and this is what they had to say:
"We are always on the lookout for new coins. However, adding a new coin is not to be taken lightly. As we are a large exchange, adding a new coin typically causes fluctuations in the coin price. We need to consider every coin carefully. And thank you for your attention"
you're going to high asking to kraken and okcoin, it's something that needs time Yup, the coin will need huge marketcap because at OKcoin, they got people who trade a few thousand BTC at a time.

when can we claim our coins and so on?
I'm constantly astonished at the number of people who sink BTC into a coin without reading about what they are getting into... altcoins = shitcoins get used to it. I remember when people used to call Bitcoin a giant scam and a "shitcoin" and when the only conversation was if deflationary currency could work.

Yes, I think people who do this with the knowledge on how to get LISK out to actual developers is probably the best strategy. The more we can get people outside the crypto world to talk about LISK the better.

there's 101 delegates, Not everyone will be a pool and eventually things will end up that way but why rush it. Let some people make the lisk they can until there is a need for them to do pools. If you want to take the 10 minutes to set up a node, go for it. It doesn't take that much at all. Just don't hate on people because you don't want to do any work. One day pools will be needed, just not now yet IMO. The barrier to entry is to low to do pools yet. 101 needed delegates and I have recorded about 11 people that want to be a delegate. We dont need pools now, we need more damn delegates lol. What do you mean don't do any work? I will set up a delegate, im not brushing off any work. I'm just trying to open peoples eyes to a solution that is needed. Why should i, or anyone else profit from 10 minutes work, when everyone can pool together and profit together. The only reason you are against this is that you are running for an active delegate spot. I could do that too, but i'd rather be in many pools and collectively profit in LISK together. Why is that such a bad idea?? Like I said, we need 101 delegates and Even if i add you (which I will) we only have about 12 people who want to start a delegate. Why add a pool when we need 89 more delegates? IMO, I think you're just moving faster than needed and jumping past steps to get to the final conclusion when there are easier and more viable ways until the need for pools.

Thanks.
Official not set in stone date is April 11th

So what's the latest with the Bter cold XCR being sent to the Lisk ico? Any explanation from them? Or straight up criminal act with user funds?
Last thing I heard was that you'll be able to contact bter for lisk later after release or something like that. I'm sure the lisk guys are busy trying to verify all the transactions and will come to a reasonable solution.
