3302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin FAILED? on: December 11, 2020, 10:13:49 PM
Bitcoin will never fail because it's main purpose is just an alternative currency, a decentralized one.

The failure is on the part of the human, either we fail to invest,(we loss) or we failed to adopt on bitcoin, because bitcoin will continue to exist regardless of its price and the number of people using it, which we would never know, and as long as there are miners, bitcoin will live.
3303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market is plunging on: December 11, 2020, 01:56:51 PM
I think the price goes down in the market is a common thing in the world of cryptocurrency, seeing the price movement of a coin that fluctuates will go down in the future, but it will not go on for a long time, the coin price will go up one day and will make history of the increase prices that have been achieved in early 2018.
Common and normal, we are seeing that from time to time so we should not overreact with the price pump as eventually big correction will follow. Newbie may FOMO or panic but us who have experience and witness the way the market moves, it should not be new to us, instead we take advantage on the price volatility as we can buy at its dip anytime.
3304  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: December 11, 2020, 01:40:50 PM
I also hope that the vaccine is affordable for everyone, or at least the government will sponsor some funds to help those poor people who can't afford to buy the vaccine. We need everyone to have a vaccine so our life will be back to normal, and the only way to do that is when the government shoulders the expenses for its people.

Vaccines are very important, but we all do not understand and do not know what ingredients are in vaccines distributed by those who call themselves "official". We know, before being used publicly, the vaccine was tested and its safety was measured for the human body. But we still don't know what content is in the vaccine, this could lead to a conspiracy theory.
I think the public is starting to experience a decrease in the level of confidence in the existence of a vaccine for the corona virus. And the public only needs the end point of this virus, which is a vaccine, although I'm sure not everyone will use the vaccine.

We would not know but we will have to trust them, when they say it's safe to use, then we should trust them just like trusting our government. I believe vaccine is more important to the elders or people who have a condition, so they should be prioritize as the production is on going. If they'll ask for a volunteer to test the vaccine, I think I would be willing to be one.
3305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: December 11, 2020, 01:32:23 PM
This news has long been heard among us as crypto users but previously facebook gave the name libra and in recent weeks replaced the name to global coin, but at the moment we do not know why they replace the name of the coin that we certainly hope global coins can rival the top of cryoto rankings especially bitcoin which is currently still in the top ranking.
They maybe change the name but not the purpose, and to think that it will become a rival to bitcoin, that is wrong because bitcoin is decentralized while global coin is centralized operated by facebook, and nothing else.
3306  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: December 11, 2020, 11:11:36 AM
There's no doubt that this pandemic made us suffer. With the lockdown and strict protocols that were implemented, we all got affected by the pandemic in different ways. But since it's been already a year, people are just slowly getting used to it.

As for the vaccine, it will still take some time before we can finally say that we are covid free. If they started distributing the vaccine, it will take probably a year or even more for the vaccine to reach other countries. A lot of us are already anticipating the vaccine but I think it is still in the trial so we still need to wait a little longer.

You make some good points here because it feels like we are so used to this Pandemic having to wear a mask.  And if we leave our house but supposed to stay at home in 'quarantine'.
I hope the new vaccine works wonders for everyone and many people are tested before it is mass produced for the world to use.
Overall optimistic that things will begin to get better and we will not be talking about Covid-19 as much in 2021.

I also hope that the vaccine is affordable for everyone, or at least the government will sponsor some funds to help those poor people who can't afford to buy the vaccine. We need everyone to have a vaccine so our life will be back to normal, and the only way to do that is when the government shoulders the expenses for its people.
3307  Economy / Economics / Re: State influence for cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2020, 10:47:35 AM
Prices are fluctuating by thousands over the period of a few days. Don't understand why there is so much instability right now. Perhaps a mini bubble, perhaps the U.S. election threw some uncertainty into the mix, but fees/confirmation times feels like it's been a bitch lately.
That's what we don't like because if we are using bitcoin as a payment method, we will be affected by the network congestion and high fees, however, if we are here to play the speculation game, we will love the movement of bitcoin. Honestly I believe that the state can influence bitcoin, people seems to react easily on the bad news and good news, and everytime that happens, price move significantly.
3308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA preseason betting experiment on totals. on: December 11, 2020, 10:11:03 AM
I said it here, so I will make one.
I'll probably make an experiment on this, just for this preseason if I will not forget it. lol

This is only for the preseason of this coming NBA full season. I will try to make an experiment to know if overs are really hitting more than the under.
No exemption, all bets will be on over.

Summary ;

Good luck on your experiment but I don’t think that for example if the majority of the games end with over in this preseason,it will also happen again in the next one. Many people read statistics in sport betting but are only disappointed when they see that statistics didn’t work out.

Yes, I know it could be different but I believe that most games will go over since this is just like an exhibition games where we will see games with lack of defense.

Was this a total over and under?
Yup!

I would like to see what will happen on this thread honestly I was no luck in those bets since there's a lot of things to happen most of the time I place bet on every total over and under every quarter but most of the time I lose.

Okay, follow this thread carefully, what I'm doing here is just betting without analysis, just bet on the over every time.

So here we go.

1-  Orlando at Atlanta - over 224
2- New York at Detroit -  over 217
3- Houston at Chicago -  over 221
4- L.A. Clippers at L.A. Lakers - over 221
5- Sacramento at Portland - over 225

______
will update the total if it's available.

3310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: December 11, 2020, 06:15:36 AM

calm there will be an opportunity for the Bitcoin pump, it all depends on the market after Christmas,
if at Christmas the price of Bitcoin can be stable and stay on support, then we will see the end of the year with an increase in Bitcoin,
hope this month not a bad days for Bitcoin.
I never doubted bitcoin price movements, Bitcoin will continue to grow and will always be the king of all coins in the cryptocurrency market.  Correction experienced by bitcoin be only temporary, That's because the bitcoin has been pumping really high in the last few days.  The end of 2020 is a wonderful start for the cryptocurrency market, we will see bitcoin will continue to pump until it is at its highest in 2021.
If you cannot take the risk then never invest in crypto specially Bitcoin that is very  Expensive and slow moving.

But those who took the risk are now rejoicing and celebrating as their effort and risk had good outcome.

Congrats to those who did not remain questioning the capacity of Bitcoin like us.

Trust in bitcoin and your life will be easy, look! bitcoin is a high risk asset but it's the most stable decentralized coin in the market, so if you invest in bitcoin, you are safer compared to investing in altcoins where most of the projects are scam, just choose what you think will give you a success but always learn how to manage the risk.
3311  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: December 11, 2020, 05:41:38 AM
Imagine the fees when Bitcoin will touch 100k$ because in that moment, only rich people will gamble with Bitcoin and it no longer be played by casual players like me or you.
If that time comes, I do think that there will be possibilities  for adjustments on fees and on how much will be the betting amount for each platform, I simply doubt that Casinos would let this be in this way, besides they can just set it out on sats if BTC reached that kind of value.
Also some other platforms only have BTC as their focus of game currency.
That's up to a gambler if he is still willing to pay for the high fee, small bettors who can't afford to pay the high fees will certainly shift to altcoins as a payment method, but I still believe that bitcoin as a currency is the most demand in gambling as big bettors does not bother to pay 10 usd as a transaction fee as long as they can gamble.
3312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Could Hit $1 This Year on: December 10, 2020, 12:01:24 PM
this year seems like the year for Ripple, a lot of news and topics about ripple,
there is even someone who predicts ripple to be $ 10000, I myself laugh, but if true then this is a miracle
We are free to make our own prediction, it's okay if it's back with facts or valid evidence but to reach $ 10,000, I think that will make bitcoin to be $1 million each, unless a centralized currency will rule the crypto space which I believe impossible to happen.
3313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: December 10, 2020, 11:39:47 AM
Maybe available tomorrow?
Maybe. We don't know.

The providers probably still haven't decided if they'll include the preseason but most likely they almost include it. Maybe it's just a delay.

No, in my years of gambling, I never missed betting on a preseason games, that means they have the betting odds available.
By the way guys, preseason is the only time where my betting on over in the totals hits most of the time, that's according to my experience.

I'll probably make an experiment on this, just for this preseason if I will not forget it. lol

3315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: December 10, 2020, 06:27:34 AM
I still think Joshua will win this fight but it will not be straightforward.

He has learned mate, he will not be as aggressive as he was before because it will make him careless, the loss against Ruiz was already enough for him to adjust and use his advantage over a fighter, slowly but at least a sure win for him. A KO win or decision, it doesn't matter because he will fight Fury next and that's the biggest fight of his career.

I don't know if Joshua's confidence is already back but the way i saw it on the rematch against Ruiz, it's still not there. He was vey clever on using his jabs to keep Ruiz at bay which was his biggest advantage on that rematch but on this upcoming fight against Pulev, they got almost the same reach and the advantage of AJ is only his age so far  Smiley.

If AJ won't be aggressive here then i think there will be no KO as he will be playing safe and a bet for AJ by Decision @4.50 is imminent for me.

This is a different fighter, he hasn't fought Pulev before but  AJ has learned in the past so he will not make the same mistakes again. Winning by KO or decision, that's all possible but a win here is a ticket to fight Fury and that fight he has no choice but to be aggressive.
3316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia IBF & WBC Welterweight Title on: December 09, 2020, 11:16:33 PM
Looks like the crowd favourite Danny Garcia got defeated, what a let down i was hoping of a more hyper Danny because he has the most experience, considering fighting big names such as Shawn porter and Keith Thurman. But in that fight he looked sluggish and barely even throwing any punches. What a boring match, many gamblers must have loss from this match.
Danny Garcia wasn't the crowd favorite, it was Spence because he was the undefeated and the championship, even if you'll verify the betting odds, you'll see that Garcia was the underdog of this fight.
3317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: December 09, 2020, 10:53:35 PM
How anyone who Say Can proof Bitcoin is not ponzi?

There is More proof and evidence that it is ponzi.

I Don't mind If its ponzi but i Don't want to exit too late but not too early so When is best time to exit?

it just your mind that Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme...
Ponzi schemes are only for financial investment products that promise big profits to you on condition. and in fact, Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency and is not an investment product that promises big profits and minimal losses if you join.

It's something not everyone who invest in bitcoin knows, even though they invest in a real ponzi scheme, they think they are investing on bitcoin so if it failed which is expected, they put all the blame to bitcoin, which is unfair, their lack of knowledge is ruining the reputation of bitcoin.
3318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 09, 2020, 10:40:21 PM
TBH, I'm afraid on how the Bucks will be this season with their current roster. This might be the same as LeBron carrying a heavy load back when he is on the Cavaliers. It doesn't mean that they are a weak team but if you will compare this year's roster and last year, the last year's roster is obviously better than the current one.
I have the same concern about the roster of Lakers. The last season's roster was stronger than the current one. But that's it, change of roster has happened and even though some of them from the last season was out of them anymore.

The current roster is still strong and recognizable and is likely to have a back to back.
Yeah, Anthony Davis is still on the lakers and that will be one of the difficult to guard player including Lebron. Their tandem is really a good tandem where Lebron can either shoot and Davis can make a rebound due to height advantage or Lebron could also pass into him inside the court and make the basket. This is how Kobe and Shaq strategy they applied. Lakers wanting to get shooters and at the same time a tall player that can dominate inside the ring. This is how they played most of their game.
It's definitely not a Kobe and Shaq, maybe Lebron can be compared with Kobe but Davis is cannot be compared to shaq since Shaq does not shoot 3s and does not even have a decent FT percentage, he was just dominant inside, rebounding, points and block, Davis is not that strong as a center IMO.
3319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 11:09:03 PM
Curious, how is it going to aid in post covid recovery?
The increase of revenue is the answer, they need more funds to recover as the pandemic made the government spend more than their allocated funds before the pandemic, remember that covid-19 was surprise, everyone wasn't expecting it to cause this huge damage directly or indirectly to our economy and in every part, government always plays a big rule to help the people to survive.
3320  Economy / Speculation / Re: ATH will be in 2021! on: December 08, 2020, 10:49:35 PM
When they believe that ATH will only be achieved whether it is at the end of 2020 or maybe the beginning of 2021, I think it doesn't matter if they are patient to continue holding. After all, yesterday's fall didn't look bad and it wasn't as bad as feared, because when the price can survive at least it's still above 15k I think it will still be fine. Apart from all that, I just have confidence, at least a new ATH will be achieved and a new history will be created because even the rise of bitcoin prices occurred when the economic crisis hit the world.

There are those who predict ATH will occur this year and not a few like me strongly believe that ATH will only be created after the initial correction new year from bitcoin. In fact, currently at a pretty good price, it is beyond my expectations because this year, Bitcoin will be quite comfortable in the range of $ 15K- $ 16K.
many countries may experience economic crises from pandemic times and possibly after pandemic times. where new vaccines have appeared and will reduce the epidemic so that at least there can be a reduction in the affected graph. That is not receding either but it does not prevent bitcoin from moving with a sharp increase next year.

Next year is another story, no one can predict what the movement of bitcoin next year based on the current movement, if most of us does not expect bitcoin to rise this big this year, I think we will be in the same side again next year. In short, we are all speculators here, we trade because of volatility but no assurance we will be profitable as our expectation or prediction could also be wrong.
