Ponzi is Old investors getting payed from new investors

That is how ponzi operates and I have not sen that in bitcoin. I do not know what the op intend to achieve by making such accusation against bitcoin except to gain unnecessary attention. We know ponzis run through a referral program but bitcoin does not. If anyone knows of such bitcoin referral sites you can let me know so I can earn free bitcoins too.

Ponzi is a pyramidal circular pathway. Example: they take someone's investment & give a fraction of that investment to another one. You must have to add referral under you, and your income is totally dependent on the people whom you referred. Money is changing hand on a circular path. The comparison of Bitcoin with the Ponzi scheme is totally insane.

Exactly, these people misunderstood or does not really understand what bitcoin is, the platform could be a scam but bitcoin will never be called as scam. if they'll only understand that once they invest on ponzi scheme, they invest on the same not on bitcoin as bitcoin is just a payment system.

people with lack of knowledge might see bitcoin as ponzi, but we can't blame them, instead let's just help to educate them and hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes.

To be honest Bitcoin aren't created for investment, but it's a currencies without central authority can control it (decentralized). But many people call it as investment since they see the ROI is very good for long term investment. And it doesn't promise 100% you will get profit like ponzi scheme, some people also in loss since they bought high and sell low.

People who says it's a ponzi will always insist it's a ponzi scheme. Bitcoin don't force anyone to invest on it, nor posting an advertisement that it'll make your money triple in just three days. Bitcoin was made to be decentralized, meaning it would work continuously without any people controlling and developing it, correct me if I'm wrong.

Bitcoin's could indeed triple your money but it doesn't have any promise that it'll happen in a fixed amount of time, it's all about trusting while waiting while you hold your own funds and you make the decisions when to sell it to make profits, and that's not what ponzi scheme have.

Greedy people losing their hard earned money in various scams is nothing new. It happens all the time, in almost all the sectors. Ponzis exist in Bitcoin sector because we have stupid people who are greedy enough to believe in these scams. They believe that it is possible to become millionaires overnight. As a result of their greed, they fail to do proper research on these schemes. And in the end Bitcoin gets the blame.

I think he's referring to the other people who think about bitcoin is scam and actually I encounter so many of them on social media groups. They have lack of knowledge about this thats why they telling that bitcoins is ponzi scam but if the time they will get an interest about it and learn more information provably they will not call it as scam. Lots of people who take a first glance on Bitcoin and do not have attempts to learn at least something about Bitcoin are deeply sure that ponzi and Bitcoin are synonymous. But the main characteristics of the ponzi idea is that without new income from new investors the previous investors will not get their percentages or their income. And the another one characteristics of ponzi schemes is that such things exist during too short periods and oriented on the rapid and high profit and after that such ponzi projects collapse or  disappear. I do not think so. Because we cannot compare like that, Bitcoin is volatile and its rise and fall are symbolic of it and the crypto market. Ponzi is a form of scamers in the form of raising capital and when investors are deceived and lost, while if you hold Bitcoin and make a profit depends on whether you sell it high or low and profitable or loss.

Okay, so maybe about 2 years ago people could be forgiven if they thought BTC is a ponzi. But how could you still be thinking that after seeing so many major corporations move into the industry 

Surely, companies like PayPal (though this is an entirely different story as I do not approve of the way they forge their own price on there) but just using this as an example for the sake of the argument here and major stocks and share platforms like eToro, and some governments  like Japan,  how could these be involved in BTC and crypto is this was all a ponzi?

Maybe because in their country their a lot of ponzi scheme and only people we're invited just to invest and promising to doubled their money within a month or just a day , it is true that other people are lack of knowledge on what they doing and yet still looking for easy money , There's no way to earn money even in trading you need to have knowledge on every decision you made. I spent 2 years participating in HYIP and other ponzi scheme and I understand what ponzi is. Nobody is telling you to bring your money to be doubled in few days, no one is in control of the price. The market dictate the price just like many people like you will also think regulated stock is also ponzi in case you show interest. Ponzi schemes are only for financial investment products that promise big profits to you on condition. and in fact, Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency and is not an investment product that promises big profits and minimal losses if you join.

It's something not everyone who invest in bitcoin knows, even though they invest in a real ponzi scheme, they think they are investing on bitcoin so if it failed which is expected, they put all the blame to bitcoin, which is unfair, their lack of knowledge is ruining the reputation of bitcoin.
