First off, welcome to the Bitcoin community as well as Bitcointalk.org. Secondly, you may want to set up a wallet, I recommend CoinBase for starting out in the BTC community. But, there are alternatives such as MultiBit which is more secure and you have complete control over you coins.
3322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Urgent! Need to raise ~$1,200 USD in 24 hrs for South Pole expedition. on: November 03, 2013, 02:06:38 AM
It'd be cool if you could put names on the flag depending on the amount donated (:
3323  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which operating system(s) do you use? on: November 03, 2013, 12:58:09 AM
I mainly use Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu, but I occasionally dip into OSX and CentOS. But it all depends on what needs to be accomplished.
3324  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: November 03, 2013, 12:52:19 AM
I play Battlefield 3, and the occasional TWD or Dead Island.

Going to start playing BF4 soon!
3325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to store and forget btc? on: November 03, 2013, 12:34:26 AM
I recommend printing a paper wallet from blockchain.info or bitaddress and store your bought coin on your paper wallets.

Generally it's easier to keep a piece of paper secure than your computer. Cold storage is now the way to go with the growing number of security threats to computer systems.

I've reviewed a few, is there any limit to the amount of quality reviews you can place?

3330  Economy / Services / Re: Hashing Power? on: November 02, 2013, 06:43:39 PM
what kind of alt coins sha256 or scrypt or CPU coins?

When someone says "altcoin hashing power" they usually are talking about scrypt, because if the alt coin is just sha256 they could use regular hashing power anyway. Smiley

Still CALLING BS as you were in PrimeDice chat a WEEK AGO saying the Virool was 10,000 per video! You plug it and only correct once people call you out from being full of shit!

Sorry you think that cparsley, we have gone back and forth between the 1,000 and 10,000 SAT/video. As you know, we only started up a month or so ago, so we're still working on making a set concrete rewards system.

Thanks for your support.
3336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dev Faucet - Official on: August 28, 2013, 08:24:07 PM
I was just talking with my lead developer, and we were discussing the raise of rewards to 10k SAT/video. We are highly considering it, but at the moment it's still 1,000 Satoshi per video. Sorry for the typo. (Early-Release)
3337  Other / Beginners & Help / Dev Faucet - Official on: August 28, 2013, 08:03:04 PM

3340  Economy / Service Announcements / Dev Faucet - [OFFICIAL] on: July 16, 2013, 05:57:35 PM
We have just launched the new Dev Faucet!

You can earn up to 8000 Satoshi per day and can request a reward every 3 hours.

Here's the link to get started! - http://devfaucet.com

We've just added two features: Security Tokens and Just-Dice cashouts! Security Tokens are special codes that users get by email that allow them to cashout to Just-Dice.com. This was added as a security precaution to prevent people from draining other people's DevFaucet accounts into their own Just-Dice account.

You can also now withdraw from DevFaucet directly to Peerbet! All you need is a Security Token and a Peerbet username to receive your DevFaucet balance directly to your Peerbet account!

You have the ability to cash out with a direct Inputs.io, Just-dice.com or Peerbets account.

If anyone's interested in advertising with us please reply to this thread, we've gotten to a point where we're getting about 800 unique users per day!

So what are you waiting for? Come check us out at http://devfaucet.com  Cool
