Is this the complete set of red sox players from that release? I did not see Manny Ramirez listed or the caveman Johnny Damon

I had assumed it was, but it seems the set is 36 cards and I have 31 cards. Here is a link to the full set. http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/22k-gold-world-series-champion-boston-134991541

+1 for tipping your delivery person in Silver. I might have to start doing that.
3323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: November 12, 2012, 07:43:39 PM
I just have to say, great job on the guide. Mining LTC is a pain in the junk compared to BTC, so I'm glad someone is recording their findings, so others don't have to spend an extra 10 hours optimizing (unless they want to)

I had a 6870 that I picked up at a yard sale for like $40 a few years ago, abused the hell out of it; had it mining BTC for probably around 2 years at 100-105C. I spent next to nothing for it, so I didn't care. One day I decided to mine LTC with it. I spent about 10 hours changing the OS, SDK, and various reaper/cgminer versions and settings. When I finally got it running sort of, it just died.

Next time I give I try mining, I'll check here first  Grin
3324  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Metric Ass Ton of 22K Gold Golden Legends Baseball cards UPDATED 11/25/13 on: November 11, 2012, 09:10:03 PM
Hey guys, I have 211 22K Gold Golden Legends Baseball cards from the Danbury mint for sale. They are all mint condition still in their original packaging from the mint. I'm not too much of a baseball fan, but these cards are quite neat.

I'm looking to sell these cards outright at per card, shipping included. No sets, just pick the card or cards you like. I will be breaking up the sets, so if you want a set, pm me and lay your claim quickly before the parts start to sell. If you want multiple cards, I can sell cheaper than individually, pm me with inquiries.

All of the pictures are in the Imgur links below, and the google docs spreadsheet has all of the names and info of the players I have, so pick your favorites, and don't miss your shot to own some neat shiny baseball cards.

Neat, thanks for the contribution. I'm sure someone will figure out a good use for it  Grin
3326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All time highest litecoin mining difficulty? on: November 09, 2012, 04:52:53 PM
So, with 2gh/s btc (2mh/s ltc) what would you all recommend right now?

With current difficulties/prices, at 2Ghash/2Mhash, BTC is slightly more profitable, by a margin of a few cents, so at this point, I would say its 100% up to preference.

Do keep in mind though, when you are playing with the calculations, Litecoin mining uses a bit more electricity, and more heat.

Check out http://allchains.info/calc.html and mess around with the numbers.

Soooooooo... does anyone else have any more feedback on me that they would like voiced? I think this thread has gotten a little off topic.

I think we need Clinton back. Now that hes too old to get caught up in the "scandals" of his previous term, he can spend more time working on what he did right. Well, that is unless he has viagra...

It's not about smoothie vs PPC. Tomatocage does not even remotely support PPC. I hope you are truly neutral as you have claimed but the fact that you seem to be eager to cozy up to a well-known troll brings some shadow of doubts.

Still I think volunteer work should be appreciated so I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you. Just curious here though, where am I cozying up with Smoothie? I've had more than a fair share of decent conversations with the guy, but I don't really think I've supported what he does. I may have badly worded something meant to be sarcastic, and its coming across wrong.

And for the record my stance on PPC, since I'm sure you would like to know, is that I don't really intend on using them, but I don't see why I should have a say on what currencies other people use, if they have no effect on me whatsoever.
3332  Other / Meta / Re: Vote SaltySpitoon for Alt Currency Moderator! on: November 06, 2012, 03:11:42 AM
Yeah! This sure is a good place to have a Smoothie vs PPC "conversation". The picking Smoothie as a running mate, and comparing him to Sarah Palin was the joke which someone seems to have missed (Because in the 2008 U.S Presidential Election, Sarah Palin being bat shit insane, and the thought that McCane might die, and then we would have Palin as president, is widely believed to be what lost McCane the presidency).
That being said, Smoothie knows I love him, but I think hes crazy.

What does being a moderator give you in terms of special powers?

* Can you see the IP address of posters and identify sock puppets?
* Can you delete threads?
* Can you ban users?
* Can you merge threads?
* Can you lock threads?
* Can you unlock threads that were locked by the original poster?

As a moderator, what would you most like to do the Alt concurrency forum? Since you are asking for the post I'm assuming there's something about it you'd like to see different.

To be honest, I really don't know what powers come with the job, as a moderator of just a single board, I don't think I have some of those powers, besides perhaps being able to move threads and lock/unlock, although Alt Currency doesn't have any other subforums, so I can't see moving much. I think if there are major issues, I would defer to a global mod.

The goal is to keep the peace for the most part although I don't mind people having a bit of fun at each other at each other's expense, as long as its mutual and in good fun.

I want all of these special powers.

Please vote for me!  Grin Grin Grin

Smoothie, I'd ask that you be my running mate, but I have a feeling it would be a Sarah Palin situation.

Edit* Ok Maged clarified above.

Is he still a boss if he doesn't pay?

I think so, what about Intern situations?
3335  Other / Meta / Re: Vote SaltySpitoon for Alt Currency Moderator! on: November 05, 2012, 11:14:28 PM
I don't think that the global moderators read this section much, though, so it may be better to have a dedicated moderator here.
Yeah, for sure. I usually only come by here when we get a report or I see an interesting title.

Why would you tell the boss that you are slacking?   Grin
3336  Other / Meta / Re: Vote SaltySpitoon for Alt Currency Moderator! on: November 05, 2012, 11:07:28 PM
I have known him for a while and done several transactions with him and he follows thru with what he says. He seems quite level headed, reasonable, has a sense of humor, and is knowledgeable with the happenings in the major alt currencies. I think he would be an asset to the community as moderator in the alt forum.

awwwwwww
3337  Other / Meta / Re: Vote SaltySpitoon for Alt Currency Moderator! on: November 05, 2012, 10:57:19 PM
Voting implies an alternative candidate. I there any?

Not really, its more a vote of whether you find me qualified (or if not qualified, I won't at least break things) or would you rather to keep the anarchy.

To be humble, I vote against myself!
3338  Other / Meta / Vote SaltySpitoon for Alt Currency Moderator! on: November 05, 2012, 05:52:25 PM
Hey guys, I have been in communication with Theymos about becoming the new Alt Currency section moderator. In order to do so, I must receive feedback from the community first to see how you like the idea, or whether we would prefer to keep it anarchy. So let me introduce myself, and then you can all vote no.

I am SaltySpitoon, and have been an avid BTC Talk user since August 17, 2011, and have been on the Alt Currency scene for a while. I am a BTC and LTC user, but I don't discriminate against any coins, feel free to search my post history for any negative bias towards any coins (perhaps I have been a bit less than neutral about Solidcoins, but I hope that you will forgive me there)

I believe I have been fairly neutral on subject matters that haven't warranted unreasonable behavior, and probably most important to this section, I have a sense of humor and am pretty laid back. I have been in no serious disputes, and have even contributed in the form of an idea for a new cryptocurrency (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=82726.0)

To be clear, this would only be moderation of the Alt Currency section, no where else. And I thank you for your COINsideration!

+1 to SaltySpitoon, sold me BTC for PayPal at $12 a coin. Smooth transaction overall and just a nice guy to deal with  Cheesy

+1 to Xisalty, transaction was lovely. I'm not sure if I would go as far as to say that he is a nice guy.... Just kidding, :xisalty:
3340  Economy / Lending / Re: [WANTED] 240 BTC Loan @ 18% on: October 31, 2012, 09:05:50 PM
One of the amazing things about USD I can take $2500 then lend this money to anyone in the world and then get that back + interest without doing any extra step.

Find me a person who doesn't see BTC as an investment instrument.

I see it as a currency. Its just useful for buying certain things, Hardware, Games, Drugs, etc etc. And the price just varies a bit more than a normal currency. If anyone is investing in BTC long term, I think you are "Silly" for a lack of a better word that isn't offensive.

Anyway, this type of loan is actually very common. It has the same chance of working in the lenders benefit, as it does for the sellers. Either way, the person getting the loan is going to have to convert $2500 + interest, and buy BTC, whether its 250 BTC, 2500 BTC, or 25 BTC.
