So, uhm... I heard a nasty rumor that Avalon has only actually shipped two units thus far.  Is this true?
They either shipped 0 or 12 every day for 5 days.
3322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Ships on: January 25, 2013, 10:12:52 AM
To someone that knows it, is it normal for a parcel shipped with a 100$ DHL service or so to take 2 weeks to reach the old continent from China?

Can't get a clue over it.

3326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Davide Accusing Me of Stealing his hosting money on: January 24, 2013, 04:47:10 PM
A while ago, I was helping a guy out accepting a money transfer then paying a hosting provider. I received the money order then paid the guys hosting who informed me that he was breaking their TOS. But I had already sent the wire transfer (we both have chase so I just sent it from my account) and the wire is non reversible. Now low and behold davide is emailing me months later telling me that it was never received and I need a scammer tag. Well, since he accused me here is the scam accusation of myself and my side of the story.

From what I was told by a developer, this method of paying for hosting is commonly used by people who plan to spam or create illegal services. That way it cannot be directly traced back to them, but instead to me the person who made the payment. He says I could make the payment for him to avoid issues with delays, but most likely he just didnt want his name tied to it.

Hi,
I'm "davide".

I was never told before this post that i would broke the TOS of webnx.com, the hosting provider that asks to pay the first time only by wire for new customers. From the second payment, they accept credit card. In fact, i asked the hosting provider if it was ok for them to me to pay via another person (i told them i would give my money to a third part in america that would route the money to their bank account). The only goal of this was that i needed the server up and running as soon as possible. One or two week, the time required for a wire sent from Italy to the US, was way too much. I ended up using realiablesite.com that offered me a great deal and you can ask them if they had problems with me hosting child porn, a thing that jasinlee keep threatening me like if do it. I'm not sure if he wrote it in the first post too or only in the mail we exchanged. I really don't want to bother reading it another time.

I waited months for jasinlee here to provide me with a proof that he paid the (around) 500/700$ i had to wire to webnx, but he never sent me nothing. Today a story of a friend of mine url: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135387.0) that got scammed 700€ made me remember of this event of my life and made me hungry about being so stupid to think that maybe he hadn't scammed me. So i tried to contact him and asked about a proof of payment, but i received nothing more that threats and finally this thread accusing me.

I staid in touch with webnx even a couple of weeks after he sent the wire, but their financial department confirmed me that they never received the money he should had sent.

If he sent the money to the wrong account, that is possible, he should have them back by now (4 months elapsed).

So, resuming the wall of text, i'm treated like if i was the scammer from the OP here, that won't prove me that he did the payment to the hosting provider whom confirms me they never received anything from him.

Someone must have my money.

--- EDIT

btw: since that i asked every other day to webnx about the status of my payment they ended up believing that i was trying to scam them and stated that they don't want to do any business with me anymore no matter what. So threated as a scammer from the hosting provider, jasinlee and the scammer that tried to scam me before him (i was again treated like if i was the spammer, url: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=105099.0).
So for me it was a double fail, lost my money and the deal for the server (it was a really great deal).

I really don't have a lot of time to lose arguing here, i just want my money back or a proof that he did send it to webnx and that i will to go after webnx.

I guess that no one will have the balls to order from the second batch if no tangible proof appears before that.

I've never seen google doing a planned maintance.
It must be a joke of a website.
3331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Ships on: January 23, 2013, 11:01:02 AM
Since my post was moved wholesale with the bounty discussion I have to ask again:

Are customers being contacted prior to having their units shipped? Because I need to set straight a couple of things before my units leave. I sent several e-mails regarding this in the past couple of weeks and even opened a ticket on support.avalon-asic.com , but I have yet to receive a response on either channel.

Also, I reiterate my earlier question - do the units have some sort of LCD display on them, to monitor temperatures and stuff at a glance or was it scrapped from the project? That is, if it was planned in the first place.
This lack of feedback smells to me.

Sending scanned documents payment order number 200000846.
Tell me when it will be shipped?
You can specify the amount of sending $ 720

why the order status has not changed?
wrote to your support, even in different places. No one answers.

Order #    Date    Ship To    Order Total    Status
200000846    11/24/12    ----    $8,159.94    Pending Wire    View Order

No offense anti76, You sent a wire on 01/10/2013 for this order, long after everyone else and the orders have ended, which effectively making you the last person who will receive these units, and because of the paranoid security measures we take, I am unable to get secure access to change your order at the moment, nor I am in a hurry. I have already informed you in the previous thread I am aware of this order and this will be taking cared of.

Since ultimately we are at fault for not closing your order after you failed to pay in 10 days as per Terms of Service you accepted when purchasing Avalon, I will be honoring your wire payment, but I am more than happy to issue you a refund if these terms are not satisfactory.

Cool, i have 4 units still on the "pending wire" status on your website (just logged in for the luz).

Can i send in a wire too?
3333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Ships on: January 22, 2013, 12:07:22 PM
Are the units rack-able? How tall are they, 4U, correct? What about the depth?

Also BitSyncom, could you please answer to my PM? It would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

3340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mega dont accept bitcoins the official cry thread on: January 20, 2013, 09:25:54 AM
Mega relies on resellers to process retail payments. All it takes is for someone to set up a Mega reseller that takes BTC for payment.

Whats funny is most of these resellers appear to be shadow companies that almost solely set up to move money from them to mega. If he thinks the card companies wont catch onto this shell game of his he is fucking kidding himself.
Some are not, i knew EuroDNS before for example.
