In hindsight, I honestly think if we were going to support somebody in the middle east it should have been the Kurds, the problem is though they want an independent state and that would go against the imperialist beliefs of many of the western countries interfering in the middle east in a number of ways. I hope the Kurds don't get exterminated, it's like the Spanish Civil War all over again, they aren't fully supporting the Kurds because they want total control over what goes on in that region.
3322  Other / Politics & Society / Re: lefties righties on: October 10, 2014, 11:36:30 PM
Left and right is an attempt by people in power to pigeon hole everybody into convenient, easy to control and manage categories.
3323  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin money? An analysis from the Austrian school of economic thought on: October 10, 2014, 07:50:44 PM

If it has the ideal characteristic of money (by design) it can start from zero and climb from there just starting from a non-zero value introduced just by chance. What I call "noise".

You just stated (in bold) that the regression theorem is wrong.

If you read http://mises.org/humanaction/chap17sec4.asp carefully, you will not find anything denying my i nterpretation

"This certainly does not involve explaining the specific monetary exchange value of a medium of exchange on the ground of its industrial exchange value." (cit. L.v. Mises)

That's something different.

Can I just say this exactly why I find it annoying when people try to be clever using complicated words like fallacious and ad hominem without actually fucking researching properly what it really means or conveniently ignoring the fact that they're doing it themselves, just saying, it's been spammed around this board a lot lately, it doesn't make you look clever when you use it, just rather ignorant and irritating.

Please internet, get a damn dictionary and look at the meaning of a word or phrase before you use it, as for this whole argument amongst Austrian economics about Bitcoin the one thing that people tend to bicker on is the intrinsic value of Bitcoin and I personally think that is the blockchain, the ledger and the ability to transfer the money anywhere in the world.

Edit: OH LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND!

http://wiki.mises.org/wiki/Regression_theorem

In five seconds -_-

Bahahahhahahaaaa Cheesy I enjoy these sessions of being told I'm completely wrong about something only to be proven right moments later Tongue the fact he just calls it a scam tells us all exactly where he's coming from.
3325  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian BS on: October 09, 2014, 11:43:21 PM
Look at the profound thoughts of Lethn in all their glory. Next think you know he'll be walking on water, while simultaneously turning it to wine.

Fortunately, unlike Jesus, I'm not arrogant enough to think that I can ignore the laws of physics.
3326  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anita Sarkeesian - Feminist Frequency - Donating in Bitcoin on: October 09, 2014, 11:38:31 PM
lmao, I actually looked at the thread title and when I saw the name and who she worked for immediately went "Uh oh" now along with terrorists, paedophiles and drug dealers Bitcoin users are now a part of the matriarchy movement!

Hurray! Cheesy

Can we have a real feminist organisation I can donate to posted up please? One that actually supports equality?
3327  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Throwing a bad-ass 18th birthday Bitcoin Party.... on: October 09, 2014, 11:32:40 PM
.... Holy shit this reminds me of that South Park episode that was just on recently... Why the fuck am I trying to build a legitimate business again?
3328  Other / Off-topic / Re: need to stop gambling on: October 09, 2014, 11:28:09 PM
How the fuck do you people keep managing to lose such large amounts of money and still have internet access?
3329  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are there non-scammy scrypt cloud mining services out there? on: October 09, 2014, 05:05:10 PM
Now that's a helpful website QuestionAuthority thanks, lots of user reviews is just what I need, I spotted some review sites out there but they were clearly ad backed and posting dodgy reviews.
3330  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are there non-scammy scrypt cloud mining services out there? on: October 09, 2014, 03:16:26 PM
Sad
3331  Economy / Service Discussion / Are there non-scammy scrypt cloud mining services out there? on: October 09, 2014, 02:50:08 PM
So I want to try and find some long term cloud mining contracts or indefinite shares in the stuff but it's become quite difficult for me because almost all of them seem to be either quite scammy or at the very least have a lot of suspicion around them. Does anybody actually know any services they'd vouch for? Also, I'll know if you're trying to affiliate spam so don't even bother.

I'm trying to find some passive investments but it seems to be quite difficult seeing as how the more you look at this kind of stuff the more suspicious a lot of these things get.
3332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 17 standard portions of the democracy on: October 09, 2014, 01:46:49 PM
Another cop shooting happen again so soon?

People just don't give a shit, they think they're invincible and nothing will happen to them, It's like they don't think this kind of crap can start a civil war.
3333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a scam on: October 09, 2014, 01:12:32 PM
Every time this happens, any time something goes wrong we get a swarm of users coming in ( probably only a few people in reality lets be honest ) and they come along and spam about how we're all full of shit and Bitcoin is a scam blah blah blah. Then when the price goes back up, they vanish as well timed as they came along to rant, becoming notably quiet.

I have seen this pattern regarding:

. ASICs

. Scrypt Coins

. MTGOX

. Fake news articles regarding central banks banning Bitcoin

. This most recent price drop, I have yet to see the evidence regarding this one because there are multiple theories at the moment coming into conflict with each other

Come on guys, you aren't fooling anyone who actually knows about Bitcoin, so don't even try because you're just making yourselves look desperate Tongue The world hasn't ended, I can still comfortably use Bitcoin and 1 Bitcoin is still worth more than a dollar which is more than can be said for most paper money, not bad for a 'scam'.
3334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this real? on: October 09, 2014, 11:51:12 AM
He can't be held responsible for other peoples' stupidity lol Tongue
3335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this real? on: October 09, 2014, 11:41:18 AM
That's definitely a ponzi scheme, even if you get your coins back at first they're counting on greedy people to get cocky and keep putting more and more money in and then that's when they'll run off with everything.
3336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Vaginal Orgasm Doesn't Exist on: October 09, 2014, 10:14:50 AM
Daily mail is more like tabloid.

The Daily Mail IS a tabloid, same for the Sun and the Mirror they're all bullshit news organisations that should be avoided and they'll post anything to get peoples attention, they've been caught several times making things up and there was even a national scandal recently where they hacked celebrities phones and it was all over the place about it, these arrogant fuckers think they have a 'god given' right to go around stalking and harassing people, even hacking the phones of murder victims and their families.

Even Fox News has more class and civility than these cunts.

*facepalm*
3338  Other / Archival / Re: Deep Web, Charter Web on: October 08, 2014, 09:18:21 PM
lol Yeah, the infogram is a joke, but I've been on there and there is clearly hidden sites there and so on, you have to do some searching to find things, we're just discussing Tor not the infogram itself Tongue or at least I am. I would say though that even though it's a joke it's actually a fairly accurate description of the darknet because there will be groups of people using closed off networks and stuff in Tor to keep themselves hidden from the public eye.

fairly accurate? other than sticking in a few words associated with the deep web (le underground black market), it's pretty much the opposite of "accurate" lol

Have you even been on the DarkWeb b!z? lol Tongue It's certainly not as massive or scary as people make it out to be but stuff is there.
