9  Other / Off-topic / Fucked up with my Steemit account, could the password still be retrievable? on: April 23, 2017, 10:37:19 PM
Hey guys, I'm willing to offer some payment for this if necessary and I thought this would be a place to ask for help. There was a bit of an emergency today and one of my hard drives decided to start failing, so I did what you do usually, backup your stuff and then install Windows 7 on another drive after formatting. Unfortunately I was extremely stupid and did not check to write down the password of my Steemit account however it was saved on the password manager. Now I can't access the password on the manager despite it restoring when I do a fresh install of chrome but I can in fact log in for some reason through the automated login but it doesn't auto-fill the password because it isn't in the manager so my theory is that the password I need is still in logindata database of the browser.

Since I can't access it in text form myself, I suspect the only option would be to turn to a security expert and see if they can decrypt it for me, I'm willing to fork over some Bitcoin for this I can offer 0.02btc or so immediately and a bit more if I can get access to the account. I tried fiddling with this crap myself but it is just beyond me and I figured it would be much easier asking you guys for help.

By the way, I've been looking around at slightly more complicated methods which involve Python and these seem to be exactly the sort of method I need to get at the password properly.

10  Economy / Goods / Re: The Rabbit And The Moon - New gameplay video - 23rd April 2016 on: September 27, 2016, 03:34:37 PM
Small update.

So you may have noticed I've been extremely quiet lately, I've been working my arse off on some very specific tasks, number one, which is the big one, is I've been studying how to do saving and loading code within my games which has been taking a lot longer than I thought it would as ever is the case with games development, however I'm very close to finishing all of this now and once It's done it will mean I'll be able to get content done a lot faster as I'll have all my code on hand ready to be used in any new games.

I have also hardly ever posted anything on the Jewellery side of things, that's not because I've abandoned it! There was another project I was doing which is a box clasp bracelet, I decided to do this as a showcase piece and that took a hell of a long time as well but the finished product I think is worth it, now these are just crappy photos from my phone and I'll deliver higher resolution ones later but this should give you an idea of what I've been working on with the Jewellery side of things.

I'll be sure to post an update to let you know once my game finally releases but I'm making a lot of progress now and after this the time between release dates for games in general should be a lot shorter now that I've just about gotten the insides of Unity figured out, that damn saving and loading code has been a nightmare to figure out which is why everything was taking longer than I thought it would.

For those who don't know, a box clasp is a type of clasp that clicks together when you push in the tongue and connects together various Jewellery so it can also be done for necklaces and so on, it's very precise and technical to do but I'm pretty happy with the result, I'll be sure to post more gameplay footage of The Rabbit and the moon as well which will show the saving and loading in action and I also have another game that I want to announce at some point but I think I want to make some progress with it before I really go into detail on it. I don't want to leave such large gaps between updates like I've been doing so far because of how long I've been having to learn everything.

You may also notice even in these photos that I have also been learning to use an engraving tool and I engraved some leaves onto the blanks of the bracelet and the clasp itself, I have also been learning how to melt down silver bars from scrap metal but that's something else I'll show later. I'm not sure whether I can sell these tiny ones that I made because they're only .925 bars and very small however it may be something I'll look into in the future and maybe I'll even engrave my own boar symbol into them once I can start casting my own fine silver bars professionally.

LOL! The BBC posted an article about the whole thing!

That's just funny.

I'll be honest, do not like those guys. I was glad when they stopped working in the "Top Gear". It is a pity that they returned

The fact that people like you rant about them so much and get infuriated by them makes me all the more glad they're back, an uncensored Top Gear is going to be hilarious.

I've thought that many times, but nobody said it couldn't get worse. It's also probable it will get even worse out of Europe, as there will be no supranational power to grant consumer rights to anyone, but I guess that's what the Brits wanted.

Are you kidding? Because power is now transferring from Brussels to the UK we'll have far more control over our laws, we'll be able to boot out MPs now that try to fuck around and push through mass surveillance and censorship because we've preserved our sovereignty. Had the remain vote won it would be far more difficult to counter the super state that Junker and his beauracrats are trying to establish with the help of British MPs.

Oh, do you trust British MPs? That new mass surveillance plan is 100% British. Brits installed CCTV cameras everywhere all by themselves, and the UK is one of the very few places in the world where you can go to jail if you write an offensive tweet. So the british people has dumped the idea of a supranational state, but nobody said that would automatically translate into more freedom for the average guy.

I don't trust them in the slightest, but the fact is, because we rejected the EU outright we will have powers to oust them if they screw us around now wheras if the remain side won they would give over more and more power to Brussels and get themselves put in unelected positions where they could put these laws on us.

The only way to fight this nonsense is to educate people about encryption and how to use it correctly.

Easier said then done. Most people aren't interested. I speak from experience.

Unfortunately I know what you mean, forget something fairly complicated like encryption most people can't be bothered even learning about how their free speech and expression is being attacked unless it takes them five minutes and even then that's a struggle, I live in that shithole of a country for fuck's sake.

15  Other / Politics & Society / Theresa May ‘Ready’ To Trigger Article 50 And Brexit Process By Early 2017 on: September 17, 2016, 02:34:07 PM

YES!! FINALLY! An end to this bullshit posturing and stalling tactics by the remain side! It looks like all kinds of news and rumours are dribbling out about dates and and the EU is telling Theresa May to get on with the damn thing.

Don't know if anybody noticed yet, but the old Top Gear presenters ( Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond ) are back and they've finally posted up a release date and a teaser trailer for their own show.

if you want Muslims to be more like the citizens of the countries they inhabit, stop focusing so much on petty differences between them and the rest of us, such as how many Mohamed's there are in Britain and instead talk about the accomplishments of the children of immigrant families in the UK and try and encourage them to be the best UK citizens they can be.

When a group of people openly states they want us dead for not following their religion or living a certain lifestyle they don't approve of that's not a 'petty' difference, stop trying to brush aside the fact that a significant chunk of them are outright fanatics, I am actually growing to hate people like you more than any religious person because you're the reason they gain so much influence and can get away with so much violence.

19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I keep learning 3d modeling or give up? on: August 24, 2016, 05:00:57 PM
If you can get a part time job or something then be sure to do that because then you can keep going under your own steam, 3D modelling is a very specialised field and I'm gonna be honest with you I've tried going down the route of getting a job at games company and you need to be really skilled at 3D modelling to even get noticed. That means, big portfolios with really good stuff in it that's very detailed and of course if you've been learning modelling you unfortunately need to know about keeping polycount and trigonometry.

It all depends on what you want to do with it.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are you opinions on Iceland’s Pirate Party? on: August 18, 2016, 10:53:12 PM
It is not just Iceland, They are all connected and all the same, as corrupt as they come and the people mean nothing to them but give more money.

No corrupt party would ever decriminalise drugs or advocate direct democracy.
