3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celsius CEO says BTC price will go to $160,000 this year, what will happen then? on: July 02, 2021, 11:02:02 PM
There are many kinds of predictions everywhere. But they don't mean anything. I'd like to see Bitcoin reaching a level like that in this year of course. But it doesn't seem very logical to me. I have even doubts about if Bitcoin can reach $100k before the end of the year.
They don't mean anything yet because it hasn't been reached and when those predictions before 2020 came, there were some predictions that I've read that the next bull run will break the past ATH which was $20k and it finally did.

It's hard to believe that those prices might happen for this year but nothing will lose if you're going to have that belief on it. But if you don't think that it won't happen it's fine and if I think it will, that's also fine. We have nothing to lose.
3322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Btc or Usdt? Which is better to gamble with? on: July 02, 2021, 10:25:17 PM
The rumor that USDT is a scam arose at a time when its market cap started to grow very rapidly. It later became known that USDT successfully passed several audits. Fudders, however, did not stop attacking him and continues to say that audits and USDT are scams.
In my opinion, you should be careful when investing in any cryptocurrency and remember that if someone has a private key to your cryptocurrency, it is not safe.
Personally, I use USDT very often but try to keep small amounts in it.
It's not about investing on any cryptocurrency but it's about OP asking for what seem to be a better cryptocurrency to be used as he gamble.

It's also not about any rumor or audits that has been made for USDT but it's just about the technique for what is a better crypto to be used if you got both.
3323  Economy / Services / Re: New Crypto Seeking Enthusiasts on: June 30, 2021, 10:03:31 PM
Aside from the services, it's a good idea to put the whole content or at least some glimpse of your project on the Project Development.

There are actual experts there that might help you with to work on with your project.
3324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After China, Now it's Mexico's Turn to Ban Crypto on: June 30, 2021, 09:04:02 PM
Not just the future effect but most of these banning news are giving the effect immediately to the market. As they ban crypto, they don't know that there are still a lot of their people that are into crypto and they cannot stop it.

Just as the news about China's ban, there's no one that can stop crypto revolution. It's okay if they'll ban it but they'll never track those people who uses crypto unless they have that massive ban for those websites that are crypto related because their citizens can still use crypto online.
3325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: June 29, 2021, 10:43:27 PM
Having the supply limit is a very important detail that the investors especially the new ones has to understand. Because it gives the demand higher as time goes by and with halving it also gives that vital speculation that it's price will increase more in the future.

invest in bitcoin, not only during the pandemic
A good reminder. Do not invest only during this pandemic but even if the pandemic ends, just make it a habit to keep on investing in bitcoin.
3326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: June 29, 2021, 09:50:27 PM
But that is not the only function of money, money has another function and that is to be a store of value, look at gold, thousands of years ago you could by a lot of products with it and now you can do the same, this is a great store of value
Bitcoin is a good store of value and that's the reason why many people are investing with it and exchanging their fiat for it. But it's not also going to be the only reason why people are using and buying bitcoin. Bitcoin has been made to become as it is, to be a medium of exchange so if there are people spending their bitcoin with anything they want, it's okay because everyone adds up to the ecosystem of bitcoin which makes it greater today and adding more value due to its demand.

bitcoin needs to perform this function as well and despite its volatility it seems it is on its way to achieve this, so while it is completely fine to spend bitcoin as that is one of its functions holding your bitcoin does not go against this as it is just another of the functions that money needs to serve.
I agree.

Spending or holding it, it doesn't matter as long as you know how you're going to use it.
3327  Economy / Exchanges / Re: binance exiting Ontario. on: June 29, 2021, 09:09:42 PM
It's not the first time Binance prefers to avoid instead of complying. Is it good or bad, rather debatable topic. Their privacy rules are still appealing, I'll give them that.
Only a huge market like United States seemed to be worthy until now for the hassle of complying.

Of course, media may write with big letters that Bitcoin is banished, but keep in mind that's only one company we talk here and that company makes its business decisions as they think.
True.

The media are romanticizing the situation that has been with Binance over the UK and Ontario failure or chose not to comply with the said requirements.

Instead of highlighting that it's the fault of Binance, as usual with the clickbait titles, they're making it attractive to read the entire article but it's there with the details that one must read before concluding that it's not all about bitcoin but Binance.
3328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why on earth do you own bitcoin? on: June 29, 2021, 08:08:21 PM
There's no need to ask myself why I'm holding on. I believe on what I'm holding that there's a future that will be greater than what we've witnessed recently.

It's like the same as asking yourself, why do you need to invest?
Me too, I think that believing in the potential of bitcoin is the only reason why I still own bitcoin, for me the 10 years that bitcoin has been in this world is enough proof that it will stay here and that it's prices will only have one way but to go up.
Even though it may not be much for some to still see the potential that it has. But we've seen the proof in our lives how bitcoin made our lives better and changed a lot of things in our living aspect.

No need to have that much reasons why we're investing in bitcoin. As long as we've got enough few reasons why we're leaning and believing on it, people will see and regret that they've been late knowing and investing on it.

There's also the news about UK's action towards them.

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, gets banned by UK regulator

They have to meet the anti-laundering requirements set by UK but they withdrew their application so that's the action made by the British government.
3331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need cryptomaniacs in a startup. Salary with startup tokens on: June 28, 2021, 10:41:47 PM

But it also varies to what type of person you need on board or what skills he needs to be good at.

I would like to find a programmer who lives in an English-speaking country, who is interested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies, who would like to develop his project, but who does not yet have a team or has a small one. I am looking for someone who would like to participate in leading or prominent roles in a project similar in scale to a bitcoin project.
Edit your first post and put this on who's you're looking for for your team.

Aside from bitcointalk, you can also post your search to the crypto related sub-reddits, there are also people who might have this skill that's going to take on your offer.

And might share the same goal as you. Good luck on your search.
3332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: June 28, 2021, 10:03:53 PM
Just watch the market closely and you take your positions, whether you're a trader or a holder and just waiting for some dips after recovery. Or waiting for some recovery after you've bought during the dips.

As for me, I just watch the market and if there's an opportunity for me to buy some coins that I want. I'll take it as long as I've got the cash ready to be bought for those coins and to add more bitcoin too.
3333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Far from possible but let's just say on: June 27, 2021, 11:56:30 PM
Let's just say you woke up one morning and you noticed that something odd is up with BTC and you look closer only to realise that BTC is down to 1$ meaning it's dead to many, would you still decide to buy some or you will exit crypto space instantly
It's not dead if it has a value of $1. It even started with zero so that's still recognizable as a working cryptocurrency. Although this is very impossible to happen then if I know that there's on it for bitcoin, I'll think of 21 million supply and those lost bitcoins forever.

I'll buy since I've got some savings in my bank and I'll buy as much as I can. I'll have the same belief with bitcoin even if it goes down to $1. If you plan to exit @ $1 and you've bought it at high, you just wasted your money.
3334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Btc or Usdt? Which is better to gamble with? on: June 27, 2021, 11:25:58 PM
I would be happy to gamble with btc when the price was quite higher than it is right now. As long as you can use your USDT then keep using it for gambling.

You don't have to worry about it for the moment and despite their freezing accounts, as long as you're only using it to gamble then you do not have anything to worry about it and, it's not ideal to gamble that much with BTC lately because of the price drop unless you're holding a lot of bitcoin and would happy to spend it.
3335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fear/Greed indicator at low - bottom in? on: June 27, 2021, 10:49:02 PM
Thats all crypto enthusiast expecting, we need a good positive signal or news to make another bull run this year, the last bull run isnt big enough.
A good news will certainly make a difference but it can also be just a temporary mover within a day. The market is in the normal state and such corrections do often happen. It will eventually rise, no matter how low it can show.

News affects the entire market, if there's good news that really create big impact for sure bull will be more bigger and will last longer,
it's always this way,

There's a certain chance that after this correction and with good momentum from the market the price will pump more higher than the
last time high.
I'm also putting my hope with this correction that it's going to bring a better momentum than the last bull run. We're having the same belief that it will push through a higher ATH by the end of the year.

But whether it will or will not, we've seen how quick bitcoin goes in recovery whenever there's a correction and how quick it is to pump after all of the corrections that it has been through.
3336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fear/Greed indicator at low - bottom in? on: June 26, 2021, 06:34:30 PM
The bottoms in.... let all the bums speculate but it's going to at least 100K Q4
Hoping for that and that's what we're all looking forward.

3337  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: June 26, 2021, 05:22:11 PM
What do you really think will happen to bitcoin if they world. Decide today to embrace crypto and focus on its utility value instead of this unnecessary hate here and there by the state and federal government.
China for example is known for always banning crypto at every all time high just to scared people from investing there money which is very discouraging.
They're not known for always banning crypto. They've been used by the media to spread FUD as they've banned ICOs long time ago and whatever the news rotates, it can be fabricated and they've replace some important facts.

If us, China and Russia decided to follow crypto today, believe me, other countries will follow.
I think that they've already did. I remember years ago that Russia did attempted to make their own cryptocurrency but not a CBDC. It's just so confusing which information are correct with the media.
3338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEXC Research:Father of Antivirus Software, McAfee’s Cryptocurrency Journey on: June 26, 2021, 04:16:42 PM
With his prediction about 2020 ending to $500,000 many have been caught by it and believed because it's such a high price. But eventually, that prediction didn't happened.

The good thing about the end of 2020 was it's the start of the bull run that we've seen and despite the market dumped a lot, still the prices for most cryptos are still good.

Rest in peace to the founder of McAfee, his legacy will remain and his company will keep going and what he had done to the community as a bitcoin bull but we don't like what he did for shilling altcoins from day to day basis before.

The last stage of his life had been tainted by controversies. But it doesn't mean, his legacy in antivirus industry is  not acknowledged. He may had made wrong decisions in endorsing a lot of crypto projects before, but some became crypto enthusiasts because of him. Just unfortunate that a lot of projects supported by him turned to be a pump and dump schemes. Anyway, just look at the positive side of his life, and we will be grateful for the legacy he left behind. How many here grew up hearing McAfee Anti-virus? I bet, most of us.
That's why I'm acknowledging what he has done to his craft before his controversies with cryptocurrencies.

Most of us did witnessed the popularity of McAfee and those were the days that we're younger. But now that the founder of his is no longer with us, that will also be part of our childhood because it's one of the first anti virus that we knew.

I have never heard of them.

But if you want yield farming, then use those platforms that have been providing liquidity and has a lot of users. I wouldn't say that they're scam or not but as long as I'm not familiar to them.

I'm trying to avoid it and chooses a better platform.
