3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.8.3 — NVIDIA GPU Miner on: August 17, 2018, 12:15:31 AM
This is the fastest miner for Lyra2REv2 right? Well, my rig is built up with a GTX 1050 Ti Oc but I don't if this will give me a good hash rate. I don't have enough fans to sustain the circulation of cooling system.

Any recommended OC settings for a 1080Ti on Phi2?

Was just digging around for info on this as well...I've spent awhile dialing in my cards but it is strange to me how different they are acting on different mobos...Same drivers etc...

On 2 of my rigs I can run the EVGA SC and SC2's at TDP 65   Core +160 Mem -100 and get about 60 kh/watt.
Also have 2 of the Gigabyte - white ones...They are running well at tdp 65 Core +200 mem -100.

On my 3rd rig I have all EVGA cards but can only eek out about 55 kh/watt and anything over +110 ish on the core and they crap out.   Was thinking maybe it has to do with 7 cards and only 1 4g RAM stick?

Thanks for sharing, this is helpful!

Indeed, some valuable comments here. It seems that 1080 TI's run much more stably and are more flexible to overclock when kept to maximum 6 x per rig.

I even had some power issues and had to reduce target power to 75-80% when running 7* 1080 TI's on a combined 2500 W connected PSU's...

So it might have an issue for me 'cause i don't have enough high PSU to run multiple GPU's and it's only 1050 Ti, it'll just consume a lot of electricity. Not recommended for solo mining right? Performance might affect stability and flexibility to solve millions of algo. + I got 8GB ram 1x, and also 120 SSD.

3323  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: August 15, 2018, 02:27:28 AM
There are recent posts that complains about their post being deleted. That's the funniest thing i see, they know they're not good at posting but still complains.

They're just rephrasing other replies and thinking they're good at it. So funny..

They didn't know that mods always check posts in each board.
3324  Other / Meta / Re: Make restrictions for juniors members on: August 14, 2018, 06:09:55 PM
These additional merits for Jr. Member is already been suggested many times and I think it's very effective as another barrier.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3307636.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4654923.msg42027113

Yes, there should be at least a one merit requirement for them, or their signatures are removed completely. Or even both.

I guess it will be good if the forum can set it to be 5 or 3 merits to be a Junior Member. Every hardworking person can achieve that amount for sure. But i guess the administrators of this forum have other things to do beside this issue.

Meanwhile, there can be 1 groups that can control this issue which is the Managers. I hope they can make some merit requirements for Junior Member or do not hire Junior Member at all.

I agree for the additional 5 merits, If you really know what you're posting about and you're a dedicated person, you can earn it easily. But of you're just interested with the profit then you deserve to be stuck. Once you've gain a merits even you're a shitposter, someone is boosting you up to be qualified in campaigns, in short a merit abuser.

Member - 15 merit
Full Member - 110 merit
Senior Member - 270 merit
Hero Member - 520 merit
Legendary Member - 1040 merit

This is also a good way to handle a campaign, bounty managers should  make it like this.

So you're saying that Mr. ralle14 is Mr. rickbig41?  Huh

That's embarrassing. It's a mistake. I mistook rickbig41 as ralle41 since both name starts with r.  Cheesy

I've edited my post.

Ohhh, When you link those reference, you probably saw the OP right?.. nevermind. It's evening here in 12.88° N, 121.77° E, we should get some rest.  Wink  Wink
3326  Other / Meta / Re: Why locking threads which are actually helpful? on: August 14, 2018, 04:38:01 PM
So bitcointalk forum related topic and for the betterment of newbies are not about bitcoin?
Technically speaking yes. People are asking about merits to rank up and to be able to participate in high paying bounty campaigns.
They ask so they can earn. Not beacuse they want to learn what bitcoin is.
If a newbie repeatedly asks what merit is, as an act of goodness send them a pm and you can link them the thread where they can find the answer and ask them to delete their thread/post or report the post so it can be deleted.

Well, even though I'm not hoping that they will become the life blood of the forum, there are some points that @Jet Cash is right. We're jumping into conclusions that those members will just ask merits for their own desires. It's generation by generation, not all will be a bounty hunter and a shitposter forever, everyone can change once they realized what's the true purpose of having discussions and analysis in this forum.

The new members are the life blood of the forum ( well the few good ones anywy). If they aren't encouraged and helped, then the forum will sink further into the cesspit, as the established members move on to new pastures. This is why I believe that a clean and well moderated board for new members is so important for the forum.

After all, a newbie will absolutely ask on how/what they will do unless you're a perfect one or gifted with talents about the process and systems circulating inside. I'm just pointing out that they always ask because there is no thread about the merits (because it's locked, can't be seen in the first page), or maybe they don't know where can he/she find the answers, it's a newbie, what do we expect? maybe it's her/his first time in a forum.

We don't have to answer them. If you see threads/posts like this, hit report. Don't give attention to it and these people should stop asking for something they can easily find the answer to their questions if they know how to look.

Ye, If you report those non-sense, sometimes you'll end up bad.

Let's just wait for the response from our local mods. I'm sure they have their reason.
If you ask me, I also don't want the threads locked. It's informative and can create an actual good conversations.

It's good to hear that, We should make a move for the "betterment" we're saying earlier. In short, there should be a section/child board where helpful threads located or a pinned post where we can add those helpful threads like in the Indonesian board.

Sir ralle14 said

*This place is not a place to earn, this place is for learning, you may earn in signature campaigns/bounties, but it should not be your priority.

*Stop complaining and whining why the threads are difficult, these are not meant to be answered but to be read. You are not obligated to answer and it is not your duty to reply, It's not a survey.
referrence: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2412546.msg24670753#msg24670753

I've only said my opinion and that might not be the reason why Dabs and ralle14 locked those threads in the first place.
.....
Maybe it can be included in ralle14s' thread here: To all newbies, feeling newbie read this before opening a new thread

So you're saying that Mr. ralle14 is Mr. rickbig41?  Huh

Ye, I agree that the forum is not for bounties because it's very obvious that we must learn here through discussions with everyone. I also attended an annual forum so I know what's the real meaning of staying here but bounties are not the point here. As i said earlier, not all new members wanted to take an advantage of gaining income, some of them are here for research about the cryptocurrency since it has been seen in many news tv channel, tabloids, papers and other social media news.

3327  Other / Meta / Re: Why locking threads which are actually helpful? on: August 14, 2018, 01:07:28 PM
First of all, I really hate the fact that there are some of us didn't understand the point of the topic 'cause they aren't really visiting the local to know what's the real situation.  Huh Shocked

The thing that I understand about "off topics" is like discussing some non-related crypto topics, social media news, referrals, Nation's issue, and other stuffs. Does the betterment of the local affects the way we treat bitcoin? Absolutely yes! People are just spammin' around, "value of bitcoin" "Is bitcoin illegal?", some of it are just common topics that can be found and read in the Bitcoin Discussion. So is it really okay to spam the Bitcoin Discussion and our Local Board? Definitely not. Our posts is for the good and development of each so it'll be a path for those who want to have a lot of knowledge about crypto, It's a disciplinary actions.

I think creating an index will be useful to make sure Philippines members can still access it or know that such threads exist, just like what we have in Indonesian board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2979183.0). Every member can suggest which thread should be added to that list, and the OP (probably mod?) can add it to the list. Mod can pin this index thread so it will stay in the first page.

I hope we have those categories to avoid those non-sense topics that is already been tackled a million of times (lmao).

While checking some of our pinned topics,

"Hello newbie here, I just want to ask, what is the merits that i see on some accounts? How can I earn it? Thanks for those who will answer"

You will notice the cycle, user always ask about the merit system, if the topic was opened he/she can read it on the first page.

I think Philippines members should discuss it further with their mods.
.....
But of course, the Philippines community & mod should decide it by themselves.

Well, We should open this situation on our local to discuss with our mods about the current issue. The best solution to this is to help each other for the advancement of Filipinos to become a strong community right? so we, members of the community also need answers to this case.

Even I l ike to agree that those mentioned threads are off topic (although I don't), why still those non sense topics remained opened in the section?

You must "report to mods" it first before it'll become deleted and might get a bad report sometimes while some of the helpful topics are not being reported but being locked.

I think that those threads were locked because technically they are not about Bitcoin.
Dabs pinned this thread on local: Non Bitcoin Posts/Threads will be Deleted.

These threads are all about the forum and merits.

So bitcointalk forum related topic and for the betterment of newbies are not about bitcoin?  Huh As I said earlier, it can be a disciplinary action for those who don't abide by rules and regulations. Educated person doesn't mean you're full of knowledge, they have the good characteristics to learn something deep and also the ability to maintain and develop your learning with discipline.

The reason why my strategy is posting about some facts/tips and tutorials is to inspire those newbies in our local and especially to those persons who didn't bother to look some information at Meta. It's really unfair to see some off-topic posts that hasn't been locked until now. Also, many of the members who also see our content admits that it's informative and helpful for someone new like them.

he/she hasn't receive any real merits but on his/her profile, there are 250 merits indicated.
It means he has deleted enough of his posts, to lose his Sr. Member rank. The Merit he has, was airdropped in January.
That's a nice trick to reach the Merit requirement for Full Member, without having the post quality that earn any Merit.

Ohh i get it, nice trick bud but this kind of strat won't work to Zapo, too bad for @bharal. Losing some of his/her posts and not being qualified for the campaign in view of the fact that her/his posts is not good.  Huh Sad

3330  Other / Meta / Re: Deserved or ass licking? on: August 13, 2018, 09:39:07 AM
Well, there are some Bounty thread/ANN thread that is worth giving merits because of the descriptions indicated in the thread or it's very attractable to some big investor groups. Even though i didn't give any merits to those ANN/Bounty threads, i realize that it's really hard to create or design a Bitcointalk page for a project using BBCodes + editing pictures and logos + the Signature codes is really cool 'cause i wanted to master that thing. Also, moderating the thread like answering all the concerns of those who are interested in the project.

After all, these threads might be a factor for the success of it's ICO.

But if it's only a translated ANN/Bounty, it's not worth it. Copying and translating some posts is not a good thing to see and the idea to create those threads was not from them since they're just working to receive a bounty.

Merits was given to those persons who is dedicated for creating valuable contents and those who have intelligent and knowledgeable posts.

Hello!

I'm working on aan ico project. I created a topic in the wrong place, Cry I carried it but the topic disappearedd disappeared. Do you know how can i recover it? Or what happened to my topic  Huh Huh

Your topic was sent to the bin because some people reported your topic for posting it on the wrong board or the moderator saw it first.
Next time if you're trying to create a very long content, make sure you clicked "preview" so it might save it in the drafts section.

May i ask where did you post your ICO project? It should be here; Announcements (Altcoins) and for bounties; Bounties (Altcoins)
These boards can be easily find in the home page, you should check or ask before posting.

If you're trying to post an ICO project and soon it will have a campaign, why don't you hire some managers to handle your project for strengthening the credibility because I've seen many newbies handling now a campaigns and it's quite suspicious.

The new members are the life blood of the forum

I hope they are..  Cheesy

The new generation of members, most of them are just attracted because of the bounty campaigns here and I just realized recently that some of them didn't even visit the local board. Also, the worst part, they have so many accounts that will only use for bounties. Creating multiple accounts that can match the allocated income of the higher ups.
3334  Other / Meta / Re: A Good Thing Or Not? on: August 11, 2018, 01:48:29 PM
In short, you're saying that forum is non-sense if BTC falls down?

Well, there are so many people who enjoys discussion, debate, analysis, and study with everybody and learning different kind of things from each other that may help our society in improving, innovating and development that can affect the community and cryptocurrency. Forum's main purpose is to be informative, interactive and sharing thoughts mainly about the crypto. Campaigns isn't really the matter here, it is the way of helping someone who is asking for your assistance about the things you know.
3335  Other / Meta / Re: Sorting System on: August 11, 2018, 01:15:58 PM
I think it's better to create a child board for beginners in each local to avoid those common questions about bitcoin, altcoin and the forum itself. Some avid readers in the local always seeing topics that is already asked by some people. It might be effective because the first section where people discover things in the forum is the local.

The sorting system is also applicable to some threads like "sort by most merits" since the merit system is very effective for those intelligent and informative contents. In my case, there are some of my contents that is really helpful for beginners but it's locked now and can't be bump. Newbies that wanted some little idea about the forum will ask again to that specific topic, this is also the time where newbie learns to shitpost.

3337  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Disappointed and Guilty [Shitposters] on: August 11, 2018, 01:47:21 AM
I will look forward to you, asahan ko yang pagbabago mo.  Cool

Samantalang yung ibang members dito na sandamakmak na yung posts and activities hindi man lang nakiramdam sa mali. It's okay to do bounties pero tandaan na parang responsibility natin ang pag-contribute sa forum at ang pag-abide ng rules. Bakit? Kailangan nating ma-maintain ang community natin, Syempre kung lahat tayo shitposters, maraming disadvantages nito at baka yung mga taong umaasa sa bounties for incomes, mawalan pa or maybe mawalan tayo ng local board.  Undecided

This post will serve as an eyeopener for some people, thanks for including my 2 contents.  Wink
3338  Other / Meta / Re: High amounts of newbie/sockuppet spam in thread on: August 10, 2018, 08:49:28 AM
Why not implement the 1 or 2 merit requirement in order to reach Jr. Member.

Please make it 5 merits, 1 or 2 merits can be given only by 1 profile and it's very easy. An additional 5 merit requirements will serve as a barrier to them creating multiple accounts.

For further explanation to this,

Additional to my reply,

If you can see in the reputation section, almost of the accounts that getting red trusts are Jr. Members. There are many people creating multiple accounts that is equivalent to the stakes given in Full Member or Sr. Member on bounties.

These accounts result shitposting in the forum and spreading of toxicity in each threads and discussions.

e.g.

In signature campaign,

Jr. Member - 1 stake
Full Member - 5 stakes

Those people creates 5 accounts to match the income of the Full Member in every campaign. In our local, my goal is to diminish the bounty hunters group that abuse the bounties and send each other some bounty campaign links to gain profit. The abusive activity of bounty hunters show that they just only want money without learning any information about investments, projects and other knowledge in crypto.  Sad

As i said to my recent posts, report to mods is not enough because there are too many shitposters. Maybe the badge for having a good reports will push some members to report those but it's really good to have a barrier on the first stage to filter out the the participants.
3339  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / BOUNTY COMPLAINANTS on: August 10, 2018, 01:56:53 AM
Please give your opinion tungkol sa attached photos;

Gets? Sumali sa overrated campaign na may maraming participants at unting allocation for the bounties tapos magrereklamo?

Just accept if ever na scam or hindi masyadong profitable.

Be thankful nalang kasi meron.

When the list appear in this board, the first names I look is my fellow members in local and I noticed this;

You should update your list, Silent26 should be in the users who received enough merits to rank up to Senior Member. He/she is already a Full Member before the merit system starts.

He/she receive 171 merits since the start of the merit system.

Also, theyoungmillionaire is already qualified for being a Hero Member.

He/she manage to gain 517 merits since the start of the merit system. There are few profiles in the wrong section. Please check your list properly because some people might use your data in some various topics.  Wink Btw, Good work for the effort of gathering infos! Goodluck also.
