can i change mine? i think i flopped completely the value, i want something like +11.2

No I can not allow changes.  Just gets too complicated.

Also there is no way 11.2 is going to happen.

look at real time numbers below:

https://bitcoincharts.com/

Blocks   394026
Total BTC   15.101M

Difficulty   113354299801
Estimated   115940545987 in 1110 blks  This is a rate of 2.29%

Network total   810029.469 Thash/s
Blocks/hour   5.99 / 601 s

at this moment your 2.6 pick is the most accurate pick on the board.

This is part of the contest how long can I wait to pick before others grab my pick.

Phil,
Very nice to come out ahead!  As usual I missed the boat on the DPS-2000 on ebay.  It seems the prices have shot up so I'm assuming a lot of them were bought up and supply is low now.

dmwardjr,
Nice setup!

The dual 2000/4000 with the three voltage settings say 11.8. 12. 2 12.8

Are really good pretty quiet they do 4 avalon6s at medium volts. Setting .

Once I clean up the den and garage I will be running 3 at high volts .

thank you  So I will be full ramped up tonight
33205  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jan 11 to Feb 11 Sidehack Compac Stick pool new 30 day run. on: January 19, 2016, 01:44:25 PM
sorta interesting thing happened..

cgminer crashed last night. (vista32 on my 24/7 HTPC) so.. ran cgminer again and stick serial# 13 fired up but stick serial number# 24 did not, that is until I unplugged and replugged it back in and off it went. both were running before for weeks. not sure what happened. maybe windows  Roll Eyes. it is a usb2 port.

and oh not related to the above I bought a  superbpag USB 3 hub from amazon -  and a rPi B from crazyguy. also an artic breeze mobile (amazon again) and BTW that arctic breeze mobile says "virtually silent USB fan" umm no its NOT. it makes a hum.

anyway going to switch the miners from the HTPC to the rPi B and the suberbpag with the artic breeze in a few days.

when you get it going please post a few photos.
33206  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: GROUP BUY - AVALON6 - $1100 - Closing Jan 12 at 6:00 PM EST on: January 19, 2016, 01:28:57 PM
@ BigRedButton  good  I am glad they arrived.

4 should come to sidehack today.

Last set of photos. Note do not do a setup like this    biggest reason is  it is not code.

This is for 1 week to 8 days.

I am hosting 3 units for PPOC for about  a week.
So running them in my HT/den with the modded 2980 psu was not working.

I made a l6-30 p to 15p plug------------  not code!!  but safe since no kids or pets

I attached a  yellow 10 awg power cord to it.

ran the cord to my 90f sauna the attached garage is now 90f not code!!  but power cord is 10 awg and not kids or pets

three avalon6's

open the door to allow for cooling  with the really cold weather this needs to be opened about 1 hour every 8 hours.
note the black power cord it goes to the ibm psu

the ibm is under the moving blanket

the insulation board allows air to the stock fans.
lastly my ibm 2980 can not run 3 avalon6's  it overheats  considering it is a 3.1kwatt load I get it.
so 1 avalon is ½ ibm 2980 and ½ evga 1000p2  you can see it in the photo under the  ibm

We are all setup correctly in order  so there is no need to reset the list.

I will do a pdf of the list and then cryptoglance can remove the old names.
33208  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12 PH] ** 5x AVALON6 GIVEAWAY ** Kano CKPool (kano.is) [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 19, 2016, 05:46:16 AM
Seems like this pool is growing more and more. Hopefully soon it will be the largest PPLNS pool besides Antpool.

The sad thing is, there's no a lot of healthy pools like this on the network..
Only chinese/private pools looking for quantity, not quality.

It can easily be quantity and quality, just need to get a few 10ph+ miners on board, variance will further reduce and more large miners will come and help the network grow in a sustainable manner. I know Kano said no more then 10% of the network, but when we get to 10% then he will need to start KANOII or recruit a like mined individual to take under his wing and start another pool with the same code and same ideology about BTC.

Anyone know 10ph+ miners?

I wish my buddy decides to build something in washington state.  I hope to get him too.

I also hope to get the local 60k solar array  setup soon.

I just want you to not get disappointed after you install solar panels. I am kind of disappointed with my rooftop 10.76 kW system. At peak hours (between 12-2pm), if I run over 3000W (AC) of gears which is about 2 1/2 Titans, I start to pull from the grid. I hope this will change in a few months, I am in highest >6.5kWh/m2/day area. I do have 2.1 kW installed on north end of the roof which doesn't get much direct sun this time of the  year.

The person building the array is a solar business man.
He has had a solar install business for years.
It is on his property about four miles from my house.
This is a ground install with perfect angles to the sun. And motorized panels that will follow the sun.
It is a no battery mixed grid setup.
So you juggle your power ie you do not  use all 60 kwatts to mine.
Remember he gets wholesale price on all gear.
Zero install fees.
Panels have a twenty five year life span .
He thinks we can do 20k 24/7 and pay nothing.

The 40k not used sells back to the grid and pays for all the dark time.
So the power cost is zero.

Obvious that is not counting the base cost of the system.
So 20 kwatts of free power can do 70 th if you have all s-7 or 65th if you have all Avalon 6s
33209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What happened to the Antminers with the 5.05 hash rate? on: January 19, 2016, 05:11:36 AM
My batch 2 freq rated at freq 575 is outstanding.

It can do as high as freq 631 does 5120 gh at .26 watts per gh.

On the other end if you run it with a titanium evga t2 at freq 575 you get 0 hardware errors and .246 watts per gh.
33210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: January 19, 2016, 03:54:18 AM
Had anyone troubles with mining with s7 on f2 pool.?
Looks like their hash rate is not stable and gives out 2-3 TH on 80% of observed units (b7).
Only few from 10 work as promised.
But When working on antpool they all hash 4,8 TH.

I guess the question is why would you be mining on F2 and Ant? Supporting the Chinese that don't care about the future of BTC and already own more then 70% of the world hash. So many better pools to pick from.

Most big pool miners do not want the variance risk.  On smaller pools.  Sad as they cause the problem and do not realize it.
I support a lot of small pools and  when I look at the math of :

all pay better then antpool or f2pool.  but not enough people mine  at them.

They simply do not understand math .

Sounds hard core but it is true.

Now I have 1 s-7  it mines at f2pool inside of my friends old bank.  He still leases 1 floor and I am teaching the game to him in case he decides to   go large in Washington state with a few investors.  Maybe 10ph in gear.  I know they won't want to go to a smaller pool as they do not want variance. So I am showing him why I would use a pool like Kano's  for now we are pointing where he wants which is f2pool.

I hope to get him to move it to kano.is this thursday.

Should be simple enough... Ask him:

You: "Do you like making the most money possible?"
Him: "Of course"
You: "Well then you need to get off f2pool and join kano instead"
Him: "Are you sure?"
You: "Yes. You'll make, 3.1% more by switching"

Yeah I can get him to do it this thursday.

We mined at f2pool since dec 29th

I will do a chart show him what it netted and then get him to to mine with kano.

yeah  size matters  and this pool is just big enough to not make you wait forever for a block.

There are a lot of pools that are far better then antpool or f2pool,but many people do not understand long term thinking with this game of btc.

I have been pushing small pools like mmpool and the compac stick pool (subset of -ck's solo pool)

But I have to make some coins  can't keep feeding the smaller pools.  So this is why I came back here.

I know the Avalon6 was giving but I am still pointed here.

I am looking for a link to the dps2500 I would be willing to test it here.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-BladeCenter-DPS-2500BB-2320W-Power-Supply-Unit-39Y7400-39Y7405-/172011963911?

this seems to be it .

Wow how much have you spend on power supplies so far testing them?  Thanks for doing this.  Also if you love the 2500's and feel like dumping the 2000's let me know.  Cheesy

my out of pocket  to run this thread

From finksy/j4bberwock

I was sent 1x 30 pin board for dual 2000/4000
I was sent 1x 20 pin board for ibm 2880 maybe it is   24 pin
I was sent 1 ibm 2880
I was sent 20 15awg pcie cables
I was sent 20 16awg pcie cables

All at no cost.

My purchases 3 ibm 2980     total of 310 = 150 + 80 + 80   and I turned on people to the good ebay price on this.
Two dps 2000 psu's              total of 50
Two scythe fans                   total of 35
two  nuctua fans                  total of 50
two 180mm silverstone fans total of 60
A few power cables              total of 30
A few power plugs                total of 20
A rack                                 total of 20

Grand total                          575

While that seems like a lot  I returned  an Evga 1600T2
and a Seasonc platinum    1200

They were close to 700 at amazon for the two of them

So I am 125 ahead   and  I can run over 6900 watts vs 2800 watts.

When I get the rest of the boards   I can run 2880 + 2980 +2980 =  8840

GRAND TOTAL OF 15820 WATTS.

I am supposed to go partners with another forum member on a 60k solar array.
He does the solar I add the rest.

Hi Phil,

That's the one. I have one too many DPS2500BB and I was looking to get rid of it. I'd happily sell it to you instead of listing it. I'll beat that price on eBay by a bit, and you get a known good PSU. I ran it loaded at 2200W DC for a week and a half to stress test it when I received it. Could have it shipped out to you as soon as tomorrow. Let me know. Smiley

Do you know that the dual boards work with it?

4000 watts and 3 S7's should run fine- you have plenty of headroom

I am stable running 3 avalon6 on a single 2880, I suspect I will run into those issues without proper cooling. Shocked

I ran 17 amps x 240 volts = 4080 volts for 3 ½ days

2 scythe fans cooled the  dual psu  zero issues

i was doing 2 avalon6's and one s-7

4080w x 0.89 = 3631w DC, so you were still under the 4000w spec.

I've run 2 DPS2000 for about a week pulling 4500w DC from them and they didn't even blink. They are super tanks, massively overbuilt. The fact that you can adjust the OCP protection up to 196A via a trim pot should give you an idea.. These guys were overbuilt and under speced to 2000w in order to get higher efficiency I believe. When you're running at 100% 2000w capacity, it's likely that you're only actually using ~80% or so of the PSU's capacity.

Great to know, thank you!

No problem! 2 of these along with your dual breakout board is probably the best way to power miners today IMO. Could even make it a 5000w setup with your board using DPS2500 instead, and get slightly better efficiency to boot.
I am looking for a link to the dps2500 I would be willing to test it here.

we touched 1000ph  2 times before this.

So I don't consider this much different.

Although we almost  are over 1000ph. for the third time.

Until we do it 3 days in a row  I won't be too worried.

my house can do 15 avalon 6's at 4000 gh on an overclock

but 24/7/365 is a no go.

bit fury may have finally cleared up the heating issues or we drop again in a day or two.

ps 162 blocks with 100 minutes left on the day

When were the previous times, they don't seem to show on Blockchain.info

https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate?timespan=180days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

Rich

That is why I  said touched

here are the two dates.

12-27-2015  202 blocks diff of    93    rate of 668   202/144 = 1.4    x 668 =  935

 1- 10 -2015 178 blocks diff of  103    rate of 743   178/144 = 1.236 x 743 =  918

both days  were counted  under 1000 but  if you took 24 hour time periods from part of either day along with the day next to it you push right at 1000.

today will be the first real 1000  if we do 178 blocks   178/144 = 1.236 x 811.4 = 1,002.8

looks like close again 173/144 = 1.2014 x 811.4 = 974.80

so the highest numbers ever done are

12-27-2015   935
1- 10-2016    918
1- 18-2016    974.8
