3341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to altcoins in this bull season on: March 05, 2021, 03:22:00 PM
We are already in March 2021 now, I'm guessing first quarter of the year is almost over, now how many altcoins really benefits from btc hitting 50k ? In 2017 when btc hit 19k all altcoins are pumping like no tomorrow, even shitcoins made incredible bounces but why aren't we seeing such this time around?
That's because earlier the Bitcoin market was huge and the altcoin market was a mere shadow and smaller in size as compared to now. Today, the Bitcoin market is massive but also the altcoin market has grown with so many news tokens being made on the Ethereum and other blockchains along with so many coins coming into the market. The market cap is humongous now and hence one market doesn't influence the other too much.

It can be understood as mother (BTC) and son (ALTS). Earlier when the baby was inside the mother, if you feed the mother, the baby will also grow accordingly but now the baby has come out and grown himself so he doesn't need help from the mother for his growth, although doesn't mind it either. Now its growth is dependent on what he does of his own and isn't defined by his parents.
3342  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Caution: Don't get carried away by social media vibes while trading on: March 05, 2021, 08:18:43 AM
Socialmedia is one of the most important source of information, channels like 'The whale club' show us when big amount of coins has been spent. And this kind of feedback help us to take a smart decision. But we must be careful with all the other messages to find because if we trust in anyone we could make big mistakes.

So, is important to be smart and ride the right waves when we talk about social media.
To put it into simple words, it is important to understand and read everything that is posted about crypto and what's happening in the market but it is even more important to understand what is actually useful to us and what is being posted out of context.

I never trust any news instead I see them as data and analyze what's useful. It's very similar to how gamblers see predictions, you cannot trust them because everyone has their own opinions but knowing everyone's opinion is also important because it helps you read the game in a better manner. Consider every social media post as data and just use what is beneficial, let everything else slip and make sure it's not impacting your decision making.
3343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me what to do now! on: March 04, 2021, 06:39:57 PM
I would not be focused on news only in my trading. The point is, news is an extremely manipulative thing. There is more or less honest coverage of events, and there is news that is presented in a certain coverage that is necessary for a newsmaker and has the goal of persuading investors to take one or another action, which is usually unprofitable for them. Newsmakers, quite simply, want you to lose money on a plausible pretext. Be careful with the news.
I have always said the same thing, if someone gives a "2+2 equals 4" type of factual news, that's news, everything else is just opinion. Like let's say you see a news about there is an explosion in some factory? That is news, there is a news about "this politician did that!!" that is opinion.

Basically if you can see and prove and basically nobody even on other sides refute that news? That is news, obviously in today's world there are people who think that who says that world is flat and vaccines make you autist so do not wait everyone to be accepting even facts but 90%+ is good enough, if 90%+ of people agree on something that is usually a news, and rarely not fake. Doesn't mean that every news is fake, but I believe journalism turned into opinion based things instead of becoming good amount of facts and news around the world to let people know what's going on.
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 04, 2021, 05:28:35 PM
Honestly Atalanta could be a decent team but I see absolutely zero chance for them to win this game, Madrid will definitely get it. For me the games are already decided, I have already wagered on them as well. Juventus will win against Porto, Dortmund will beat Sevilla, PSG will beat Barcelona, Liverpool will beat Leipzig, Real will beat Atalanta, City will destroy Gladbach, Bayern will beat Lazio and lastly Chesela will win against ATM.

In all of these games I am not sure about just one of them which is Chelsea versus Athletico Madrid because ATM is leading La Liga and Chelsea is not doing that well at all so at the end of the day we are not going to know what will happen, Chesela won the first game so I decided to put that in as Chelsea win. The thing is, these are basically what everyone thinks as well, there is really no shocking bet here all of them are common sense bets.
3345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 04, 2021, 04:52:27 PM
Honestly Rockets look like they are at a level where they are as good as they used to be, and that is incredible. Sure having Harden seems like a bigger deal, because he is a superstar, and building around a superstar is definitely easier, however reality is that I would take this team over some of the rockets teams that existed recently, only maybe the team that took Warriors to 7 games and then lost with 27 missed threes in a row, that was incredible, but it was basically a reason why Rockets was there as well, they shot threes and get there, they shot threes and lost there.

I think this team is as good as any rockets team in the last 10 years except few years, and they have a shit ton of picks as well, albeit gave theirs away beforehand for Westbrook but they got so much more as well which is why I think it is definitely incredible.
3346  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 suspended on 1st Mar 2021 please withdraw before 15th Mar on: March 04, 2021, 04:31:47 PM
There is a huge pressure for Ethan right now and that is not really a nice feeling, I mean surely he must feel honored by this pressure but he must feel the weight of it as well. Nobody really cared about yolodice closing in the sense that nobody really blamed him for anything, everyone accepted it and said "fair enough" so he didn't get any headache over it, so that is the good part, but what about the fact that he may not be interested in something new? That is why I believe it is quite difficult for him right now.

Everyone agreed that closing this could be a good idea because there is a problem right now, but the reality is that we are talking about Ethan starting something new and even better like it's given, maybe he doesn't want to? Maybe he just wants to relax and retire and wants to just kick it with freedom? We should not pressure him for doing something more.
3347  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds on: March 04, 2021, 03:58:16 PM
1xbit created a topic promising to solve all the issues. That topic is now abandoned... It says much about it.
They never even intended to actually solve the problems, they were trying to act innocent and maybe get rid of the feedbacks they have been receiving but it was never going to work.

I'm waiting for support since December.
I am sorry for your loss but if you ask me, they won't pay you unless you can threaten them in any way, with their reputation already burnt, I don't think there is anything left you can threaten them about to get your funds back. Most of the sites end up paying users when pressure is put and their reputation is under threat.

My account was closed by security for terms and conditions violation. They never refund me my deposits. They didn't said aswell that my funds were kept to pay the damages so I'm really being ignored.
I do not want to sound controlling but the best you can do is, since you aren't into any signature campaign currently, put a warning about 1xbit scam as your signature and at least some users can read when they read your posts and get aware of the problems.

You can do so by going here and editing your signature: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile click "Forum Profile Information" on the left and you can then edit your signature.
3348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT STOLE MY TOKENS on: March 04, 2021, 03:25:12 PM
Hi guys, so I havent logged onto yobit.net for ages, just been HODLing my tokens. When I tried to log in, my 2FA didnt work. I got in touch with "support" but they just say they dont help with this anymore because they have been hacked a few times and no longer offer assisttance in getting back into your account if your 2FA doesnt work...what the hell? Nobody will help me there at all! How can they just keep my tokens? THEY were hacked and now I cant get access and its tough sh!t to me?? Anyone else have this issue?
So, the site has been hacked means that the user data is erased? It also means that the data of users like email, password, etc was also stolen. Yet another reason to never use Yobit again. I don't know if you can get help because yobot have stopped coming to bitcointalk, but if you want you can open a scam accusation against them here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

It is really unfortunate that they are giving that kind of an excuse because even if the site was hacked they should have players data because I often get email from yobit, obviously spams, which shows that they still have my email and if they have it, they should be able to help out user who needs their tokens.
3349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: March 04, 2021, 01:55:11 PM
All these kind of arguments don’t make sense to me anymore because I feel that these are things that we should allow to flow naturally. If you can make use of Bitcoin and you like it, that’s what you prefer then make use of it, and if banks are what works for you, go for it and if you like to make use of the both of them, then stick to that. Both of them are good, there are ways that Bitcoin can be better than banks and there are also ways that banks can as well be better than Bitcoin.

I have used banks for international transactions and I wouldn’t say that I’m going to make use of it again, because since Bitcoin and so many other payment methods came out , they are far much better than banks and charges less. Then as for Bitcoin , there are times that the fees can be high when you’re making a small amount transaction.
3350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How future applications would be !? on: March 04, 2021, 12:42:29 PM
What do you think about the future? What do you think about the most successful blockchain applications? What ideas might be formed?
How is it possible to make entertainment - social application with help of blockchain? i need some example.
If there’s really going to be any social media that will based on blockchain I think it would be one where people will be having the complete freedom to say whatever they want to say and not get banned for it, and it’s going to be a type of social media that will be hundred percent free from regulation.

We have had so many problems with some social platforms, especially with them selling users information to their advertisers, I don’t think social platforms that will be based on blockchain will be having this kind of problems. I believe that there are so many things that can be achieved with this blockchain technology, it is just with time and people will start coming with new and better ideas that will fulfill the needs of the people around the world.
3351  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 04, 2021, 09:36:08 AM
I define rich as a person who doesn't need to work for money anymore, doesn't mean that they do not make money, even the richest person in the world still keeps making money, hell that is one of the main problems in the world people who have enough to live forever still greedy for more, but that is not the point, in order to be rich you need to have enough money that if you do not make one more dollar ever.

The money you have will be enough for you, and would help you raise your kids, hopefully until they are capable of making their own money, you do not even have to guarantee their whole life to be considered rich by my standards, if you can raise them well without debt, and pay their college tuition and help them on their early career struggles, after they have a decent life you are done, no more extra money needed to spend on them, if you can that is great if not that is alright. That changes from nation to nation, in some nations 100k is enough for this, in some nations you need millions of dollars but it is always the same, the lack of need to work.
3352  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: March 04, 2021, 09:05:14 AM
Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ?

If you buy land, each year even if you don't work it you get weeds ... if you dry them you can use them to make a fire ...and in turn that generates energy ...

Meaning: that piece of land is giving you a dividend each year .

Where's my dividend if i invest in crypto ?
It's quite ironic that you are saying this when Bitcoin is going through its best phase ever. Your dividend? The price increasing every year is the dividend and whether you sell or not is up to you.

In fact, if you just buy Bitcoins every year and sell them at the end of every year, you will easily make more profit than you would make by purchasing land and doing anything with it.

If you require even more frequent profits then Bitcoin isn't for you and you would rather look towards trading altcoins and although much riskier, it gives you faster profits.
3353  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Play Smarter 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: March 04, 2021, 06:51:30 AM
Why make a multi on one sport when you can make over $60,000 with legs across 4 sports ⚽🕹

How amazing is this bet Shocked

Lucky guy! The chances of winning a 9 fold are pretty small but he was brave enough to bet over 1000$ on it. Special combination also with odds varying from 1.27 up to 2.35...
The odds were 56.32 for that dude, think about gambling on dice gaming and you wager on 56.32 odds that would make things difficult isn't it? I mean it is a technical thing that basically shows you how little the chances are, you could calculate it based on % as well but it is not always right, like under 2% chance to win, that would be quite low chance, not impossible of course, but it would be quite low chance.

Not only that but this dude played on very different games as well, which shows you that this guy knows what he is doing and that is why I think it is beyond special, a lot of people gamble on soccer and win these kinds of odds, and a lot of people wager and win that, some people like basketball, tennis is a special one, but it is very very rare that someone is experts in 4 sports enough to cover all of that and won this big at the end of the bet.
3354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be in a hurry on: March 04, 2021, 05:09:04 AM
I understand that some people got in at the peak and they want to get out right now and they want to go back to profit I understand that, I have some money I have invested as well so I know the feeling as well, there is really nothing to worry about what is going on because I believe that bitcoin could be going down even more and it would definitely be something that would be risky for many people who need the money as well but if you are that much in need of money then you should not be going into bitcoin neither, you should only spend money you could end up spending or could afford to lose money otherwise there is really nothing else we could do about it.

That is why I think it is obvious that people should end up spending money we can afford and wait as much as we can until this situation is passed, if you can wait you could definitely make a profit but you should end up being patient about it.
3355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me what to do now! on: March 03, 2021, 07:13:08 PM
I am here almost 3 years+++. Now I have some experience in trading but I can't depend on my research only. Currently, I am holding almost $2k and looking for making investment to trade and earn some profit to increase my total funds.
If you are not good at researching and doing technical, fundamental and quantitative analysis of a project then the first thing you must do is stay away from all the ICOs at the very least. Most of them are scam and 10% that might be legit are not going to make it beyond the exchange listing.

Can you share with me some upcoming news which may help me to grow my funds fast? Or you can share your research too so that I can pick one shortly in my list to invest next.
The best advice I can give you is doing price trading. Basically buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price and since BTC is going to go higher in the long run, so at least you know if things go wrong you can at least rely on the long term value of BTC which is always going to rise.

Price trading works like this, you buy BTC at $49500 for example and sell at $50500 so you earn $1000 for each BTC traded. Sounds easy, but remember not to panic when market goes down.
3356  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 03, 2021, 06:33:24 PM
It is obvious that City is playing on a whole new level right now but this is just getting ludacris, I mean wolves is not doing that awesome this year I accept that, they are not like last year, that is acceptable but the result is just insane, I mean City is good and all but they have been unbeaten for nearly 30 games now, I think this was game 27th or 28th, that is not normal, that is all league, fa cup, champions league everything combined.

We can clearly say that they will be the champions this year easily, I would say if there are any place in the entire world that still has outright premier league champions, I would say put all your money into City now, doesn't matter how much the odds are, because you are going to make that profit one way or another, it is nearly impossible for them to lose championship from this moment forward considering how much difference they created.
3357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 03, 2021, 05:04:36 PM
Honestly there is no point on firing any coach at this moment for Schalke, they are gone, they will not have any solution to this at all. They fired coaches, got players, did everything to  change things around and they failed it, so as you can see there isn't any return from this at all. They could have been doing better if they had the chance but by the looks of it they are not going to have any wins at all anytime soon.

They had 1 win and 6 ties in 23 games, that means they had 16 loss as well, so when a team is playing against schalke it is wise to wager on schalke to lose, doesn't matter who they are playing as well, if you lose that you can be sure that next time you can bet more and win because it is obvious that they can win or tie maybe once but not twice those are the odds, and in a miracle if they do that, you can always wager on the third game.
3358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: March 03, 2021, 04:29:16 PM
Coins on top for 2017 like EOS, VET, ZEC, DASH, NANO, XTZ...
Can they compete with existing coins like DOT, LINK, coins on DEfi.

Should I invest in old coins?
I like some of the old names you listed but candidly speaking I don't think there is much value in old coins because especially in the altcoin market, moving forward you have to pick new coins because they are solving some problems from the previous ones.

There are some old coins that are still strong like Ethereum and that is because there aren't many coins that can solve the small problems which the current Ethereum network has. Some analysts see DOT as a giant killer because they feel like DOT might solve a lot of existing problems on the ETH network, I am not sure if they are right but surely new coins are future and old coins slowly lose their grip in the market.
3359  Economy / Economics / Re: Great reset is done on: March 03, 2021, 03:54:44 PM
People can move on with their different experience on covid-19 pandemic. But it will never be forgotten due to its impact to our lives that gave us huge changes on what we used to do. In fact up to now we are not yet done with this covid issue even there's already available vaccine to possibly end and cure the infected.

Nevertheless we dont know what is in the future but definitely its another challenge that we need to overcome just like the past problems, there's a solution.
It has been termed pandemic for the reason that it was a never before and probably never again kind of problem and it took time for everyone to understand and react to the problem which actually made it even more deadly. The reset hasn't been done fully yet, maybe in some countries it is done but most of the countries are still facing tough financial times.

The pandemic situation that we experience will never be forgotten. It is a part of our lives that difficulties and challenges makes us strong as a person. No one knows actually what will happen in the future as having a positive vibe would help us in our daily routine to continue and move on. Many assumptions that there are another chaos will happen but let's think for a favorable situation in the future.
Don't think there will be another chaotic situation like this anytime soon and unless this virus was made in a lab as some claim, I don't think the virus is ever going to be as deadly again because the vaccine have been made and already working.
3360  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: March 03, 2021, 03:11:29 PM
I guess it's just how large firm behave, not gonna invest into something until they really sure and many people have already jumped in and I guess that happens to their idea of diversification too and risk calculation.
However, there's always an outlier why will try to make fortune when thing is still young and make many profit out of it, JP Morgan could say whatever he wants but I'm sure in the future there gonna be some large firms investing to crypto.
I believe there is going to be something much better in the future but they are sort of right, following usually means one thing is done and another thing happens right afterwards and I believe that didn't happen, JP Morgan didn't mean it like "nobody will invest into crypto" that is not really wise to expect, that wouldn't be possible, at the end of the day we are going to end up with a situation like there will be some sort of investments over long period of time but I think people didn't followed Tesla all that much, at least not the big companies.

If there was another news like Apple bought 1 billion dollars of bitcoin in a week or 10 days, and after that Google invests another 1 billion dollars to bitcoin and after a while facebook buys half a billion dollars into bitcoin and so forth, if that happened all in a month or two we could actually say they were wrong but now I don't think we can say they are wrong.
