Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada and the United States as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

3343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Almost No One Trusts The Government Anymore on: November 27, 2015, 04:06:00 AM
i always think about this three, and i think almost evry big country have this problem.

Safety nets: On issues of the social safety net, however, the partisan divide reappears. Some 72 percent of the Democrats and their leaners saw a major role for the government in lifting people out of poverty; only about a third of Republicans did. The same gap appeared on the question of government ensuring access to quality health care.

Government reform: The survey found almost 60 percent of Americans think their government needs "major reform," a sharp increase from the late 1990s, when less than 40 percent of those surveyed said so.

Natural disasters: Government got its best marks in the latest Pew data for its performance on natural disasters, and setting fair and safe standards in workplaces. About half the respondents in each party said the federal government did a good job on roads and on ensuring access to high-quality education.

lets see asian big country,Japan,Nort Korea,Indonesia, and many more, they have majority problem like that.

3345  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 11:56:50 AM
A new mintpal, a new mt.gox, a new scam... this is what cryptsy is going to be. I don't know if decentralized exchanges are the answer but we need a shift in the paradigm. We can't deny the usage of exchanges: we need almost bulletproof ones!
We have the most secure coin and we need the most secure exchanges
"we need almost bulletproof ones" agree with this, and how do you think crptsy will be next scam?i wondering how we defference between scam poetential exchange and not potential exchange?
a lso think that decentralized exchange is not an answer.
3346  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 11:53:23 AM
Cryptsy wwbsite has been unreliable from the start,  i doubt its an outside attack

did they ever have any quality assurance in the first place
how you can said like that? "Cryptsy wwbsite has been unreliable from the start" you know them before launching?
so you think crptsy have inside attack?like mt.gox?
3347  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 11:51:23 AM
Cryptsy has problem with their wallet for long time & Cryptsy's customer service really bad, so i'm not surprised if Cryptsy will become scam/bankrupt/gone after this "DDoS Attacks".
I feel sorry for those who still use this service until now.

Maybe that's why people want to use centralized exchange Roll Eyes
are you one of crptsy user?how your experience with their customer service?
i'm also user of this exchange, but i just open account, and never use it,too many shity security there..just what i think
3348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 11:45:05 AM

3349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Armory vs Trezor on: November 26, 2015, 11:33:59 AM
While still used by some the availability of inexpensive bitcoin hardware wallets is starting to replace the cumbersome procedure of using two computers to safely store your bitcoin. If you own more than a few bitcoin you need a hardware wallet but which is the best?
i think trezor was better,check this :

3350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will win WW3? on: November 26, 2015, 09:38:12 AM
Everybody wants peace, but they want to kill each other. ...That makes sense. It matters who would side with whom, also. Russia is probably one of the strongest and most ready, Israel has the technology, and Iran, sadly, has the nuclear power. Sad to say, I think the US is falling apart... Hopefully not any more than we see, but the actions of our authorities speak otherwise. A socialist country cannot have a great army. I think Israel and US would hopefully unite once again (ahem) and Russia and Iran seem to be joining forces against Israel, though I somehow doubt Israel will die anytime soon. But the biggest war will definitely happen around the middle east.

3351  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything you need to know about Jewish ritual child sacrifice on: November 26, 2015, 09:34:23 AM
No. This ritual is symbolic of the tenth plague: the slaying of the first born. Jews teach their children that "God" killed the Egyptian pharaoh's first born as a punishment for not releasing the slaves. This is not entirely true. Jews also teach that God works through the actions of men. The Israelites were the real perpetrators of the mass killing of all Egyptian first born children.

i never hear about this ritual, and will be interesting if can explore about this, and looking for conection with some religion.
3352  Economy / Exchanges / Cryptsy and Kraken Targeted with Extreme DDoS Attacks on: November 26, 2015, 08:59:48 AM
Cryptsy, a Belize-based cryptocurrency and bitcoin subordinates trade has been experiencing a progression of great dissent of administration (DDoS) assaults, that have successfully handicapped the site and bitcoin wallets since November 22.

"Because of a server disappointment all wallets are stopped. Will have them back online as fast as could be allowed. Site disconnected from the net because of foreswearing of administration assault. We are attempting to moderate," declared the Cryptsy group.

In the course of recent weeks, noticeable bitcoin trades and installment handling stage including Kraken and OKCoin have been focused with DDoS assaults of comparable extent, briefly impairing bitcoin records and withdrawals amid the late bitcoin value surge.

"Association issue was because of DDoS yet ought to be determined at this point. Said "some" before in light of the fact that uncertain of the degree around then. The DDoS is progressing yet most ought to have admittance now. Statements of regret – this was an expansive assault and took more time to relieve," said Kraken at the time.

As per the declaration of Kraken on the other hand, the mysterious hacking gathering behind the DDoS assault is by all accounts the same association which focused on encoded mail administration supplier Protonmail on November 6.

"The site is under DDoS right now. Blackmail letter got. Clearly, not paying. If you don't mind hold on for us," reported Kraken.

Dissimilar to Kraken, Protonmail and other Switzerland-based tech firms and bitcoin new businesses have effectively paid a little measure of bitcoins to the programmers to ask for a prompt end of DDoS assaults. In any case, the association kept on dispatching extensive DDoS assaults, constraining Protonmail and other tech examination gatherings to dispatch a community examination with universal law authorization and Swiss law organizations to unwind the countenances behind the digital wrongdoing.

"We have been working with the Swiss Governmental Computer Emergency Response Team (GovCERT), the Cybercrime Coordination Unit Switzerland (CYCO), as a major aspect of a progressing criminal examination being led here in Switzerland and with the help of Europol," said the Protonmail group.

At present, Cryptsy and Kraken are relieving the assault and enhancing its insurance against DDoS assaults through cutting edge efforts to establish safety and conventions.

As indicated by is "it down at this moment" be that as it may, the Cryptsy trade stage was closed down for around 4 straight hours since 01:57 AM to 6:15 AM.

Because of the progressing DDoS assaults, Cryptsy clients may encounter trouble in pulling back assets from their cryptocurrency accounts.

This is a creating story and newsBTC will keep on upgrading as we get new date.

3354  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Launches First Bitcoin Debit Card on: November 26, 2015, 07:54:47 AM
That's awesome news! More people are going to join BTC's ecosystem and use it more frequently!
Exchanges are the future banks.

lol at this guy's above comment.
i agree with you,on this sentence "Exchanges are the future banks." exchange will grow like bank, maybe they controlled bitcoin soon,we all know that exchange have a big amount of bitcoin.

I think that that is happening already bit exchanges are manipulating the bitcoin price, at least last time when the price reached 450+ it was supposed that big chinese exchanges are pumping the price, but the use of these debit cards i don't think will impact the price.
yes,its have been happen.i agree with that, exchange can control or manipilating bitcoin price, but they cannot do that as they want, because it will impact to their own self. yes i dont think debit card will impact the price, its a some way to advertise bitcoin.

Well when impacting them self they have gain profit before dumping the price, but sadly the truth is that they have a good power to control the bitcoin price, actually the price is keeping increasing so i expect the price will reach $400 if not this month probably in December.
"sadly the truth is that they have a good power to control the bitcoin price, actually the price is keeping increasing"
how can we avoid it?or at least we can take profit same time like when do it?is we have tobe a pro trader?i'm really corious and want be like them.
3355  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Launches First Bitcoin Debit Card on: November 26, 2015, 07:43:36 AM
Coinbase is not the first to launch a Bitcoin Debit card. There are a lot of other options besides Coinbase. And many of these other options are far most cheaper than the options offered by Coinbase. An worst, with Coinbase the user needs to go through a verification process.
yes dude,we all know that coinbase is not first, there was xapo,bit-x,e-coin and maybe many more bitcoin debit card, but i think it mean "first" is for coinbase it self, not the first in the world,we all also know coinbase is a big exchange and wallet,it can be one of advertise strategy to make it popular.
3356  Economy / Economics / Re: Why not just print dollars? on: November 26, 2015, 07:22:15 AM
this is about legallity, yes we can print Dollars,we can manipulate it as we can,but how about legality?its a human rules, goverment rules, and they ban the illegal dollar who printed by illegal source. but bitcoin is not like that,we cant print bitcoin, and wherever bitcoin made (minted) its always legal (on bitcoin rule) and no one cant blame it.
3357  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: November 26, 2015, 07:15:25 AM
For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.
Bitcoin becoming global currency, its what i call "magical of bitcoin", there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, but nothing like bitcoin, bitcoin is special,it a unique currency, its have physical, and i dont think other currencies have both non-physical and physical shape.
proud to be part of bitcoin, and knowing about bitcoin earlier before bitcoin become a legend of currency.
3358  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on "holding" Bitcoin on: November 26, 2015, 07:11:10 AM
