3341  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Warning] BitMex just leaked thousands of email addresses on: November 02, 2019, 01:48:23 AM
Ok so this time, it's Bitmex fault that thousands of email addresses where leaked? Sad to say that this is another black-eye for traders around the world, I mean they have built their reputation here how the hell in the world they would make this kind of silly mistakes? Anyways, for those who have been affected, you know the drill guys and hurry up, change your passwords. Let's see how Bitmex will do damage control.

Is it intentional? I mean of course they'll be doing that for years and simply checking twice or thrice isn't hard to do. Ideally, they know how sensitive if emails will be leak. Geez. Can't believe this.

On top of that... Bitmex Twitter account was also hacked.
There are always risk when you register with websites like this.

RIP Bitmex. Hope your exchange site is insured so whatever losses there will be, it gets covered.
3342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Update List Scam Airdrop 2019 ...... on: November 02, 2019, 01:10:55 AM
I'm just a little confused with what you said that they didn't paid you, is it for your service? Or didn't gave your airdop tokens? If so, don't bother to get the token, sure it could be shitcoin.

Hi colochini456, i like your effort by updating the airdrop scam list, but please read this advice. use better format, show the proof, etc.
Accusations without proof will be useless hence if he just keep updating the thread without valid proofs then more likely he's advertising those he's so called scam.

I mean what's the point of posting here when we don't know how did it get scam? Or you might as well do this, and yeah it's more appropriate in reputation section since you don't have proofs yet.
I would say that this kind of thread would really be appropriate if it would be moved on Reputation section since op is trying to update scam airdrops.
3343  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: November 01, 2019, 08:45:09 AM
I know this is opinion-related topic and I shouldn't consider your answer as financial advice. Anyway I'd like to see what you think about it and what you would do. Even better, you could reason why you think this way.

Sure and everyone here has a different perception when it comes to investing.
So basically if you want to invest in crypto or in other forms of investment, make sure that the money you will use is your spare money so you wouldn't end up cashing out early thus don't expect quick bucks.

And make sure you diversify your assets well, specifically on offline ventures.
3344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 rollout report released by binance on: November 01, 2019, 08:05:25 AM
I could imagine eth surpassing $1000 ATH as soon as staking began as surely the demand and hype will be enough. So with this recent rollout, could we expect the staking to be in the first quarter of 2020?

Everyone is excited about ETH staking with the upcoming launch of ETH 2.0. If binance will support the staking function, other major exchanges will follow suit and that will be amazing. I'm looking forward to see more official updates on ETH 2.0 since right now many are just giving assumptions about it, some saying we need 32ETH in order to stake which might be true anyway. I hope this will be a new dawn for Ethereum.
if the requirement just 32 eth it seems too low and i think the amount we can earn with POS system will be low too
and this POS system is good for the people/company that has a huge amount of ETH

Are you serious? That will be roughly $5750 in current price and even have the same value for masternode and surely that value will increase as the staking comes.
3345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Phishing email ask me to install or update brave browser. on: November 01, 2019, 07:31:39 AM
I also wonder why the scamerr knows my email even though I didn't publish it.
Getting one's email is easy, there are various hacking where user data is leaked (usually contain name, username, email, password and hashed password) and many websites who sold users data.

Not exactly hacking but there are some extensions now in google chrome that can view emails and names. More likely by passing the information.

true, people who e-mail lots of e-mails with the purpose of gadgets are frustrating, I used to get emails containing kidnapping my children, but hey! I am still a teenager and do not have children, other than that he asked for a ransom of 4 BTC, very strange in my opinion, whether people out there have run out of sense to find bitcoin on the right path.

Those kidnappers really want bitcoin specifically? Lol! Anyway, just block those emails so they won't bother you again.
3346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 3000+ Cryptocurrency on Coinmarketcap on: November 01, 2019, 06:18:27 AM
Competition is always good. Because it contributes to the maturation of the market. That way we can see the good or the bad in a much freer way.

In the long run, many of these 3000 cryptocurrencies will disappear, but new ones will continue to be integrated into the system. Diversity is always good as long as each serves a different purpose.

Quality over quantity will do good than shitcoins piling up on CMC. Ideally, we don't need those 3000+ shitcoins when in reality only 25% ( assuming ) of it are performing good.

Found this article though it's 4 years ago so surely the percentage increase more.
CT: Has CoinMarketCap ever permanently removed a coin from being listed on the site? If so is there a list of delisted coins? How about delisting an exchange?

G: About 40% of the coins ever added to the site are now "inactive" due to failing to meet the basic criteria. In virtually all cases, the reason for delisting is because all exchanges have delisted the coin. There is not currently a list of these coins, but perhaps in the future.  Exchanges get delisted when their API fails ceases to work for a significant period of time.
3347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Update List Scam Airdrop 2019 ...... on: November 01, 2019, 05:47:31 AM
[When we work for them but do not pay. So hopefully everyone supports this topic.
We use our efforts to PR airdrop for them, when they succeed, they abandon us

If you don't mind, what work did you do for them?
Usually, opening a scam accusations need at least to show some proofs and give enough testimonials that will support to it, without those it will be useless.

If you think you can provide those, please post it on Scam accusations section.

And use this format.
Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)
3348  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Phising Cryptocurrency Website on: November 01, 2019, 03:24:51 AM
OHMYDAYS thanks for the warning! I have just had a call from this number that offered to sell me bitcoin and told me to go to this webpage!! I told him I had to check it over first and give him a call back and stumbled across this  https://scam-numbers.co.uk/Number/0031858888229/ and also this post so thanks guys! Seems to be a scam for sure! If anyone can point me in the direction of a legitimate seller that would be grand! Thanks, Sabrina x

If you prefer to buy on your local, head on here.
https://localbitcoins.com/

But you can buy more conveniently on exchange sites sich as binance and bittrex and other reputed sites.
You can create your account here.
https://www.binance.com/m-register.html
https://global.bittrex.com/account/register

Good thing you didn't easily believe on those cold callers. Next time be careful where you sign up such as giving your personal information since cold callers use this to keep bothering you.
3349  Economy / Marketplace / Re: OTC Bitcoins Telegram Groups on: November 01, 2019, 12:51:23 AM
And recently, Telegram now lets people delete every message sent or received. So now it make things complicated. Imagine if the scammer just deleted both your messages and you don't have any proof whatsoever. So don't take that chances if I'm in your shoes, just go OTC on exchanges, IMHO.

I would agree so if you think you're dealing important matter then the least you can do is take a screenshot of your conversation. Just in case that person deleted it. So far, the best place to chat people is through slack.

Let me share a few I found:

Don't do that, unless you're promoting it and pretending you are looking for advice. That's soooo cliche.
3350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: October 31, 2019, 02:09:40 PM
I won't be surprised if Satoshi really abandoned bitcoin, ideally he's already giving a clue in his email when he says he's moving on to something. And hiding Satoshi's identity is more likely his intention.

I generally assume he was moving on to battle an illness, and that he lost the battle and died.

Lol, that sounds his last will and testament.
3351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: October 31, 2019, 06:47:18 AM
Sure many things might happen in 5 years and that 60btc is hard to depend on. Even we say it's utterly huge now but bitcoin is too volatile that it can make it too valuable nor worthless in time.

I'll just think about it when I already have 60btc or more. lol!

I am disappointed since i did not cash out my bitcoin in December 2017 when it was up 20000$. It becomes really hard for me to sell when bitcoin price keeps going up  Tongue

And you better be disappointed when you buy at that price though. That ATH is will be just a dream for now.
3352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont break rules while trading on: October 31, 2019, 03:27:35 AM
Not a daily trader but whenever I trade, I at least made sure I buy low and sell high. Though honestly, sometimes I thought that I bought at low but it keeps dumping, lol! Anyway, as they say that you'll have loss when you sell it so I made sure to sell it above the price.

While I would agree on not doing trade on weekends as it's more volatile than the other days. Idk, just my opinion.
3353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kik - Here to Stay on: October 31, 2019, 01:22:21 AM
Though this news is 15 days old, but this is new for me. Before this thread, I didn't hear about reviving the Kik project! I was very excited about it when they come into blockchain! At that time we couldn't even think about Facebook or Telegram in crypto! So it was great news for the crypto community and Kik raised good money for that hype! So, we can say Kik is back to rule again!

Are you serious?  Grin
KIK won't be kicking for long and even now since the damages are too serious not to bother. And even it's under new management it won't be enough to convince SEC regarding to its issue.

I'm not sure when OP get this, such a shilling for me.
3354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: October 30, 2019, 12:56:23 PM
If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.

Seriously, that's business and they don't care whether they're advertising scam projects or not. They'll just reason out that they're not affiliated to all of those and we should invest at our own risk.

And not surprising anymore as they're still being paid to fake trading volumes.

Money really run the world.  Roll Eyes
3355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: October 30, 2019, 12:15:53 PM

Let's just keep our fingers crossed as there is no official update to this end with regards ETH2. 0 staking from Ethereum foundation. Or if there is any official update, please a link will do, thanks.

I heard eth staking will be next year though there's still no specific date. While the ROI per annum will be in between of 1.5% to 18% but still depends on the validators.

And yes 32 eth is big for us however if you guys really want to join the staking without running your own software and doesn't need to stay online, you could consider RocketPool to do staking on your behalf. You just need 1 eth to be eligible.

But then again, stake at your own risk.

Disclaimer: I'm not related to RocketPool or any affiliates.
3356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do me a favor, tell me really clearly and slowly what exactly a blockchain is? on: October 30, 2019, 09:36:24 AM
If you had fool your boss then I'm confident that you can think how to get through this and Google won't hurt anyway, does it?
And even if you gather some info here it wouldn't be enough and it will surely reflect on how you write and explain your article. So without thinking it many times, tell your boss the truth and who knows, he'll forgive you for telling the truth and give you another chance.

Wish you luck for your writing.
3357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Piggybanks - OKex piggybank on: October 30, 2019, 08:48:34 AM
Recently, okex had a promotional campaign that whoever will deposit certain amount on their piggybank account it will profit certain percentage and obviously many had lure and the campaign was somehow successful.

However, I didn't know that they'll use the fund for lending until now. So ideally, if this the case storing coins just for the sake of few ROI is ridiculous. I mean we don't need those as our coins/tokens is volatile and eventually ( hope so ) increase the value.
3358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kakaotalk's Blockchain adoption Klaytn is growing well! on: October 30, 2019, 06:37:30 AM
What is your prediction about Klaytn, guys? Will Klaytn enter into the top 50 coins rank?

Too early to claim that though the amount of users can't guarantee the demand.

However, gram token is still under debate whether it's security token or not while investors refuse to refund their money. I mean they're all confident that this will be rocketship, considering the $1.7 billion raised during the sale. It's crazy, btw.

I saw recently that the Klaytn project had partnered with OKEx exchange.

Heard that too and before they confirmed that they'll be listed on some Chinese exchange site.
3359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Do We Still Have Legit Altcoin Bounties? on: October 30, 2019, 05:50:36 AM
Well I guess legit projects are not in bounty section anymore.
Have you heard about social mining? It's the new form of bounty but only the people that have quality work will be rewarded. So basically, quality over quantity.

One good example was Aerum and Eldrond and now have a good market. Also, you can check 2key though not sure if the campaign is still ongoing as the last time I check they're now in wave 3.

3360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Egold withdraw in yobit works on: October 30, 2019, 03:56:36 AM
Is Yobit your preferres site to trade? If no, you can also trade at etherdelta.
https://etherdelta.com/#EGOLD-ETH

You're late on dumping your egold, it has been long gone when you can trade it with a good value. Anyways, you can try ED but manage your expectation.
