A miner here.

Currently I use Claymore's miner with AMD cards.  I pay a 5% dev fee, which I think is a bit too high, but I acknowledge that the dev deserves something for his/her efforts.

If XMR devs were to create an equivalent or better Windows64 AMD miner with a 4% fee going to the XMR devs I reckon that would be a win/win.

Something to think about.

Big +1

Claymore's is the best available, but comparitively speaking, 5% is highway robbery and he knows it. But when you have no other suitable alternatives, you pay. I would MUCH rather that percentage went to the devs...

that's a great idea for dev fundraising

if bcx won't share it..my say is attack it and see if it survives, we don't want XMR to be exploited when it is more or less than 100$ a piece, do we? besides what if somebody discovers it or learned how to do it besides bcx.

but allow some time for bug hunters to find it..with bounty  Wink

Merely a mirror image of BCN,no marketing ,no innovation.
Does DSH have a future?

Considering the untrustworthiness of BCN, more than likely not.
If you want to put your hashes to use and get money in your pocket, at the moment its XMR or BBR.
This coin is getting where users get it. If users wants marketing, they have to do marketing.

Just to compare:
On one side are coins with similar budget to Dashcoin like AEON and One Evil Coin. They are both on the way to death because of no long term plan for the network and the core. They do not implement new features. By 'new feature' I mean features Bytecoin or any other coin already implemented.
The other side are coins with HUGE budgets like Monero and Boolberry. From Monero developer threads you will find information that adding a feature like 'multi-signature transactions' cost around 15,000$ per feature. If you monitor those coins closely you will see that most of the features they want to add (for 15,000$ per feature) are already implemented in Bytecoin.

What Dashcoin do?
Dashcoin implements all feature Bytecoin has. This means we already have multi-signature transaction. We already have reset and list_transfers commands. We are one of the first who implemented fix for the attack executed on Monero.
At what price?
Currently a feature added costs us close to 200$. This is far less from 15,000$. But we are not happy with it. We want all the features we add per month to cost no more than 500$, with developement time included.
Do Dashcoin has value?
You are the one who decides. What we can garantee is Dashcoin will not die as coins with similar budgets. It is a long term project.

Since you mentioned no long term plan,so ,what's the no long term plan for DSH?

mine low sell high  Cheesy

"bcx scare" made a successful price drop than the the previous attacks (which really happened btw)

bcx...you are something lol

trolls...how about some troll awards here lol

 Cheesy

if you followed bcx closely for the last few years - you'd understand why.  mark my words - if he ever views monero or any other PoW as a threat to LTC god have mercy on it's soul.

if there are exploits on CN coins, this should be addressed by the devs with or without the help of bcx or any exploiters..if a coin would have a future it should be tried and tested before more money is put into it.

this forum would be better if there is something like, newbie troll, full troll, sr. troll, hero troll and legendary troll  Cheesy

imho a big mistake to start a coin and list it on a subsatoshi market.

If you start marketing something at the lowest budget price possible, it is nearly impossible to get it back up to a good market price.

subsatoshi market is a brilliant idea..altcoins that are trading in ltc due to high number of coins can have a chance here (a btc market)..this may revitalize dying coins, to name a few scrypt coin i mined in the past like fedora coin and moon coin.

What's the maximum tranaction amount for DSH at a time?

tried 5M but sometimes it does not transfer (i rebuild my wallet to recover my coins)...1M works best for me and make a separate wallet from mining wallet, you will be able to monitor your coins better.
thanks,
5M is way too small Angry Angry

The limit on a transaction is not based on the amount of dashcoin sent, but rather it is based on the size of the transaction in bytes.  The size of the transaction in bytes is mostly based on the number of inputs used.  An input is a transaction sent to you that is used to prove you own the dashcoin you're sending.  So, If I send you 100 dashcoin, and then 200 dashcoin, and you send 300 dashcoin, your transaction will have 2 inputs (and be very small).  If you want to reduce the number of inputs used, you can send dashcoin to yourself.  This combines multiple inputs into one.  So, if you sent the 300 dashcoin to yourself, those 100 and 200 inputs are no longer used, the 300 input is used instead, thus reducing the number of inputs.

TL;DR The tx limit is not based on the amount sent, but rather the size in bytes.  You can make transaction sizes smaller by sending large amounts of dashcoin to yourself.

Will try this.thanks

Anybody tell me why i can't send DSH to https://subtoshi.com/
It's displayed: Wrong wallet address, but i copy and paste from subtoshi (wallet address and payment ID, so can't wrong). Now i can't send DSH to there.

maybe you forgot to use -p

example: transfer 0 <subtoshi address> <amount> -p <payment id>
3376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DSH Dashcoin trading thread and OTC xchg (bid x ask x last x) on: September 07, 2014, 06:19:16 AM
we need an exchange to trading DSH Angry

As previously mentioned Subtoshi is a functioning Dashcoin exchange run by myself.  I've also recently upgraded its servers to handle more users (and more coins soon to come).  You can check out its thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=764158

just sold 150M for 0.15 btc there..i think the exchange is good enough for now.
