3361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using Url Shorteners on: July 07, 2016, 09:01:08 PM
... but also wanted to shrink it down to earn something from users who click on my link. Is it allowed? If so, are there some limitations? Because i know people can make posts entirely just to get someone to click their link. But what if i typed my post detailed enough that it deserved to have a shortened link.

By the rule of thumb - referral links are not allowed, but it's down to the mods to make judgement whether leave/delete your post. The (unofficial?) rules only say something like "no referral link spam" iirc.

The only chance you could get the mods to turn the blind eye on your ref link is:

a) create constructive, interesting topic, not something clearly created just to sneak in the ref link
b) be transparent about it, don't hide it under shorteners and provide 'clean' link option along the ref link.
3362  Economy / Services / Re: SafeDICE.com Signature Campaign - Weekly payouts up to 0.025 BTC + bonuses on: July 07, 2016, 10:20:44 AM
...
Yes, we can arrange to pay you directly to your SafeDICE account - and as you pointed out this is a great suggestion, anyone else who wants this option, please let me know.
...

Thanks.

You could consider making all the payments to SD accounts (i.e. starting from 2nd week), it's a standard practice, and by doing this you make sure that all the participants are at least familiar with the business they're advertising.
3363  Economy / Services / Re: SafeDICE.com Signature Campaign - Weekly payouts up to 0.025 BTC + bonuses on: July 07, 2016, 09:53:23 AM
Hi, I'd like to sign up for signature + avatar.

My BTC addy: 1CstuTvCxadzEq3GzxTsDpB55VJJTJoScd

But I wouldn't mind getting paid directly to my SD account, username: pawel7777 if that's an option (it should be!)

Are we allowed to replace links in the sig with referral links? It would be great.

ps. Both signatures seem to be aligned left, rather than one being centred.

Greetings to our loyal players and to potential new players,

Many of you have noticed that there can be some delay in answering support emails or replying to your questions here on this thread. This is a valid observation, and I want to inform you that from now on , there will be more focus on support and community, since I will be assisting Sam with support, replying to your questions here on btctalk, and other new projects.

Important notice:

We will be starting a signature campaign soon, so please check out this thread on a regular basis.

Also there are more exciting stuff in the works right now, that I cannot yet discuss but you will find out about it in due time.

We are looking forward to welcoming new players and investors, and there are exciting times ahead of us.

Best Regards,
Alex

So are you the PR person from the vacancy advertised here?:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1411417.0

or are you only responsible for customer support?

This is great, but I'd like for Sam to just confirm this is legit and that you're not just someone trying to take advantage of the situation.

+1
3365  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 27, 2016, 06:52:07 PM
Great news for our affiliates - we now pay you 0.25% commission for all wagers made by your referred users in the MULTIPLY BTC HI-LO game! This should provide a nice earnings boost for active affiliates.

Noice!

Does it work for all referred or only for new ones? Will the dice referral earnings be shown separately from faucet commission?

Also, what's your commission on wagers? Can't see any info on this anywhere.

The more concerning problem is the frequent downtimes.

This.

Daily wagered and profits were pretty good lately. No complaints here. But downtimes every 2-3 days are really worrying.
3367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin as Payment option on: June 22, 2016, 12:52:24 PM
Hi,
I work for a SaaS based company called JigoCloud http://www.jigocloud.com and we are currently thinking about offering BitCoin as a payment option for our customers.
Can anyone see any disavantages? We are slightly concerned about security issues etc..How long do people think BitCoin will be around? We don't want to develop something and than see the popularity of bitcoin decline.

Thanks
John

Just use payment processor (BitPay, CoinBase etc), you'd be accepting BTC but could opt to convert 100% into fiat money. So no price fluctuation risk, no need for complex implementation, no storage risk etc.

Although I'm not sure how do they cope with confirmation times nowadays, before RBF and full blocks they accepted 0 confirmations.

That's probably the best and safest way to start, and if BTC turns to be popular among your customers, you could then accept bitcoins directly (if that's what you want).
3368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have lost more than $100 in a day... on: June 21, 2016, 08:44:46 PM
I also think that the price drop has to do with the upcoming britain leaving europe possibility.

How would that be related? I could find arguments for brexit to drive BTC price up not down.

Upcoming is the referendum, which is non-binding anyway. Even if 'Leave' wins, the exit wouldn't happen any time soon.
3369  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Dutyfree.io - Buy cheap cigarettes with Bitcoin on: June 21, 2016, 03:49:15 PM
When the site is dutyfree why just restrict to cigarettes. Let us start bringing more products to the site which is available in any duty free shop. This will help you cater more people and also help everyone to get things under one roof.

I am not sure but I think that laws for selling alcohol online are stricter than they are for cigarettes.
So maybe that is why they only sell cigarettes.

Laws are probably the same/very similar. But selling alcohol online internationally would be just too difficult. It's heavy, fragile (glass bottles), more likely to attract Customs attention, and most of all, it's not very profitable, as the difference in pricing between the countries is not as drastic as it is with cigarettes. The potential savings would be eaten by postage and packaging costs.

Hello, I had a problem with your site. Someone withdraw from my account on SafeDice while Im auto-rolling. I thought I already lost from betting but when I checked the stats, my net is a profit. Can you check my account? From which it was transferred? username is le03rd.

Been playing other sites like PrimeDice, Bitsler and Rollin.io. Never had this kind of problem.

You can check 'history' (click profile, top-right) and see whether there was any withdrawal or not.
3371  Economy / Goods / Re: [H] 50$ Amazon Gift Card [W] BTC on: June 21, 2016, 10:20:04 AM
Im selling 2 15$ Amazon gift card + 1 20$ Amazon gift card for %75 of BTC. Pm me, im still trying to figure out exchange method in here seems like we can use escrow or idk..

Wouldn't be easier to use purse.io? Make a purchase on buyer's behalf and you should be able to get 80%-85% of face value in BTC.
3372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Craig Wright is back. Now he's a blockchain patent magnate on: June 20, 2016, 08:53:24 PM
Yeah, we've all missed him, but now he's back and all over the news again.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-bitcoin-wright-patents-idUSKCN0Z61GM

Craig Wright, the Australian who claimed to be the inventor of bitcoin, is attempting to build a large patent portfolio around the digital currency and technology underpinning it, according to associates of his and documents reviewed by Reuters.

Since February, Wright has filed more than 50 patent applications in Britain through Antigua-registered EITC Holdings Ltd, which a source close to the company confirmed was connected to Wright, government records show.

3373  Other / Politics & Society / H. Clinton: destroy Syria for Israel on: June 20, 2016, 07:47:15 PM

Let me just dump it here:

A newly-released Hilary Clinton email confirmed that the Obama administration has deliberately provoked the civil war in Syria as the “best way to help Israel.”

3374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: June 17, 2016, 03:38:53 PM
ETH is probably the worst one. I'm not vested in ETH. I have no ETH. dooglus does not want the attention or legal issues surrounding Bitcoin in Canada. As well as holding less perceived value (exchange rate) as when it was BTC, he was holding millions of dollars worth.

If you have ETH, you can probably trade it for CLAMs. Or trade it for BTC to then trade it for CLAMs.

I don't see doge dice (another website he made) anymore, so I don't think he's going to make for any other coin.

Was meant to ask this long time ago, can anyone explain what's the actual difference from legal point of view between operating in CLAMs and operating in BTC/other altcoins?
3375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa! Hard forks are BAD! on: June 17, 2016, 03:34:07 PM
I think Vitalik Buterin is in a dilemma.  If he does the hard fork...

Looks like he went for the soft fork not the hard fork:

Quote
I personally believe that the soft fork that has been proposed to lock up the ether inside the DAO to block the attack is, on balance, a good idea...
3376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is too slow on: June 15, 2016, 01:37:42 PM
...
what if the average number of tx with proper fee exceeds the block limit, it's not guaranteed anymore that my transaction with proper fee, will be confirmed in 1-2 hours right?

Simple, all the transactions that didn't make it to the block will be labelled as 'spam'. Problem solved.

But seriously, if demand exceeds block capacity, then there's no such thing as 'proper' fee.
3377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is too slow on: June 15, 2016, 11:47:36 AM
Bitcoin transactions are the fastest global transactions ever created in the history of history.
...

Only if you completely ignore all the other cryptos, of which Bitcoin is one of the slowest. Most secure maybe, but definitely not the fastest.
3378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best non-gambling affiliate programs? on: June 14, 2016, 09:49:13 PM
You can look into localbitcoins referral program.

But it`ll take a serious amount of volume to see anything, but regardless if you know if they will buy  or sell on that platform then its a huge plus.

https://localbitcoins.com/affiliate/

Its the only legit non gambling I would be part of, etc.

Thanks. Might be worth a try, but the "A visitor will be considered as your affiliate for 3 months" part puts me off a little bit.

Has anyone have any experience with Purse.io affiliate program (not "refer a friend", as it's a separate thing)? Commission seem a bit low (~ $0.30 for $100 purchase), but if there are no time limits, it could pay decently in the long run, if your affiliates become regulars.
3379  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best non-gambling affiliate programs? on: June 14, 2016, 08:54:26 PM
Other than gambling sites, HYIP and cloud mining not any other give good referral commision but we all know hyip and cloud mining can turn out to be scam within few days of operation.
...

Nah, I wouldn't touch HYIPs or cloud-mining (even the legit ones) with a broomstick.

So better you promote good stablished casino sites...

Not what I'm looking for.

exchangers doesn't give good commision atleast commision is under 1% of total transaction in exchnages.

What? 1% of total transacted would be insanely high. No legit exchange could offer that much.
3380  Economy / Service Discussion / Best non-gambling affiliate programs? on: June 14, 2016, 04:12:18 PM
As in subject, does anyone know any tested, reliable BTC/crypto businesses (non-gambling) with worthy affiliate/referral programs?

Any exchanges, merchants etc?
