3381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: April 08, 2017, 05:38:22 PM
There are hundreds of cryptocurrencies out there, and it would be naïve to think that none of them has any good improvements.

I think the problem is that most of them have many points of centralization, and certain improvements could be implemented in Bitcoin if there was a consensus.
It has nothing to do with that, honestly there are many better cryptocurrencies out there that has the potential to replace Bitcoin, the only problem is that Bitcoin is the Father of all Cryptocurrencies in which it was the first one out of the market and will certainly have the largest market share of all. The problem is that this Altcoins had a bad timing entering the market becauae Bitcoin is currently dominating and still growing with a lot of potential. Also we cannot have 2 or more Cryptocurrencies dominating the market because as consumers would need to adjust on more of them instead of one (what I mean about that is that is stores or any business will need to take time to adjust not only to Bitcoin but also other altcoins as well for the consumer's benefit) which will lead to a lot of confusion on both consumer and seller.

Not just other cryptocurrencies, but for instance, I would say that Bitcoin has become its own competitor since many other types of purposes are popping up in the markets to take their share through getting those proposals approved. Bitcoin needs to get all these internal problems resolved, else a third party will win the battle between the two.
3382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow up: I'm the guy who sent a transaction with 2.5 BTC fee.. I'm sorry.. on: April 08, 2017, 05:05:02 PM
In all honesty, the pool doesn't owe you anything since it's your fault in the first place however they are so kind enough to actually give the fee back even though it costed them some few thousand bucks. It's great to hear that you got your funds back and you are now taking extra caution to ensure everything is okay, and to the people of Antpool, you guys rock.

Agree with you and just think, if this would have happened in real world and OP would have given some extra fiat, do you think the other person would ever give them back to him? No, right? The pool had been great enough here to pay back that amount which the entity lose due to his own mistake. Hats off to Antpool, and everyone please have a look always when sending any amounts to anybody and especially the fee part.
3383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE WITH CHINA EXCHANGES on: April 07, 2017, 01:31:00 PM
I remember, some people are sharing about their experience on arbitrage trading opportunity when Indian markets were trading some $200 to $300 ahead. One of my friend also had tried with it. As per his experiences, practically arbitrage was not that simple because moving continuously fiat out of Indian market by selling bitcoin for buying bitcoin from international market is not that much easier for him.

The time taken for processing withdrawal from Indian exchange and time taken to recognize a deposit in international market are not that much faster to support catching good price levels. He would have been into profits if he had some big amounts of fiats and bitcoin in both the exchanges.

I like to suggest you to check for feasibilities. Try with small amounts like go for detailed study before trying with big amounts of bitcoins.

It is just not limited to moving fiat from here to there and getting BTC back, but moving it smartly was the main thing because coming in the eyes of government would let that guy end up in Jail as demonetization took place in India during those days and people were moving their black money in Bitcoins to save it from taxes. Seriously, arbitrage opportunities in exchanges are worthless unless some huge difference is there.

I've had a few bets that have taken 8+ hours to process. Others in just a few minutes

What do you mean by other? Are you referring to another site or your old bets on this site earlier?

I didn't bet recently on this site but my last one was quite okay.

Ethereum prices are falling now after reaching $50 mark last week.
That's expected because the price of bitcoin is increasing and we know traders actions towards the situation. However, today was a great day for ETH as it keeps rising and I'm happy to see successful projects now under ICO which are Ethereum based because it will give ETH a good value.

Yes, yesterday went up from 41+ to 47+ but today again already down the thread. Now already around 44 USD and I strongly feel that this time will go below 40$ range before again moving up. If in May dark web successfully implement the system to accept these coins then prices may stabilize.
How is the connection between eth price going up and the transactions taking longer on a bettin website? Is it because the miners fee is staying lower in fiat currency?

It should be same even on every price point, if it is already creating problems that bitcoin has after years of PR than there is a problem.

I agree that there should be no correlation between the price of ethereum and processing of transactions. The fee for processing will always remain the same in ETH no matter what's its price in BTC, so what it has to do with its reduction in fiat too? Blocks may not be getting found may be the reason, why miners would lower mining?
3385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like 2000 next month on: April 05, 2017, 06:00:22 PM
The price has already ascended towards 1150 level and is holding tight between 1100 and 1131, and thinking that we might see a bull run that easy would be foolish. I can understand that we have all been seeing high fluctuations in altcoins, but that doesn't mean that Bitcoins will see the same bullish trend as of now because it will need more than double market cap in actual money for that to happen, and whales are not fools to put their money at stake when they know they are at highs actually.
3386  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: April 05, 2017, 05:36:16 PM
The number people will be the main factor keep Bitcoin price stable. The more people use it, the more stable the prices can be. However, Bitcoin is still new so we can not hope that the prices will stay remaining like that. The prices must go up in order to supply to all the people from around this planet. If I am right, the prices of Bitcoin will be stable in the 2050s

Rate adoption being increased, supply and demand only make bitcoin to be stable currency in price wise. Price was flautuate till last week. However, it seems recovered in the chart and now price is little over 1100$.
There would not be any hard fork in the upcoming months. Before this year ends price may bump to $2000 in the December month.

What I am seeing currently shows that there might be two scenarios: One is either nobody is interested in trading Bitcoins unless any fixed news on hard fork, other is there is a point where supply and demand meets where both parties are interested in buying and selling at a fixed price, so that's what might be the reason that is keeping Bitcoin's price to remain stable.

vDice has processed over 30,000 bets and given away over 300,000 US$ in winnings to players in our short life.

Thanks for the support everyone. Excited for everyone to try our new ETH game next month.

That's one of the reasons why I play there, the best website so far to have paid me good winnings as well as amusement that everyone looks for when they gamble. Thanks to vDice. Btw, which game are you talking about? Any hints for the same? Very excited to know about it.

This is so interesting and make curious at the same time, because there's no clue except the game in mobile platform.

That information is outdated as there's nothing given there, I am interested in knowing about the name of the game, its type.
I am curious to play it, and just like you I am also waiting for the same to be available sooner in mobile so I could play it in anything.

When will the signature campaign end, I mean how many weeks are still remaining for the same?
I am asking this because I saw somewhere that when the ICO ends, the signature campaign will also end, is it so?
I might be interested in joining this after my term ends with vDice this month after 16th, so just curious to know.

3390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: April 01, 2017, 03:13:13 PM
The first difference that I feel Bitcoin is good at, is its value which is not the same all the time if compared to the real money that what you will give, you will get anything relevant to that exact value itself that is already written over it and it can't change. As you have asked that why you need to convert your money into Bitcoins, this is the only fact here that Bitcoins are more secure as they would let you be completely anonymous because when you will transact your $$$ from your bank for Gambling purposes, it will be known to everyone but that's not the thing with Bitcoins.
3391  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited v/s SegWit on: April 01, 2017, 02:26:40 PM
What I don't like about BU is, they are trying to split and gather a big community compared to Bitcoins and they think they would succeed, but that would never happen. Bitcoin has always been the best, no such major bugs found and only scaling problems have been in since, I feel there should be no hard fork to take place and having great news such as Japan legalizing Bitcoins, I think I will be going for Segregated Witness only.

I am very happy to be a part of this campaign, and will give my best this time.
3393  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: March 15, 2017, 08:12:55 PM
These markets are being run by a group of mammoths who consistently pump and dump their coins out of the markets when they want to, but those events have reasons as giant fishes eat small fishes when they see them being collectively buying high and getting ready for the trap that these giants have laid out for them. Price remains stable when both the side's pressure is settled down to its lowest and is equilibriated.
3394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites on: March 15, 2017, 07:53:32 PM
OP, the answer is no. Because no gambling site would ever disclose their real income that they actually make, as they are not interested in paying higher taxes which is why they have invested into bitcoins, and even if they state some numbers, those numbers would be gross ones and not net income, and that will also indicate a part of the actual income that they are getting.
3395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: March 15, 2017, 07:43:53 PM
If I decided to save bitcoins in bank, how will deposit rate be changed compared to dollar or other currencies? Will it have much lower percent?

Seriously man, banks? Bitcoin had been created with a purpose of making an entity a bank for themselves by having a complete hold of their finances in their own hands. And when it comes to deposit rate, why are you interested in giving your coins to a bank when you can earn some extreme interests with the daily price fluctuations that take place in the markets?
3396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: March 15, 2017, 07:35:21 PM
The article was good, but the thing is, gambling is based on factual decisions and not some random picks, and if someone is to make those picks randomly, and lose and try back again with the same strategy with the purpose of recovering back that previous loss, and panic and repeat the same process again and again, then they can't control themselves but will get into the bog of gambling quickly which is a phase called "addiction" which is not a good sign.
3397  Economy / Speculation / Re: New bear market. Bulls just got slapped in the face. on: March 15, 2017, 07:26:37 PM
Not just am I seeing a rise in the price of Bitcoins alone, but we are also witnessing the spikes and shakes in the altcoin markets too, and experiencing some high voltage drama that's going on currently, and I don't see any bears to be happy currently as that dump was a wrong button press by some big guys, but they should know now that bitcoin has been spread to a whole new level that not just a single person can end this up with their false intentions.
3398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining on: March 15, 2017, 07:07:31 PM
99% of cloud mining services out there are mostly scams, such ponzi schemes that are there to attract you towards their proposals and if you invest at those sites seeing something which looks highly promising but impossible to get attained, then you will surely lose there. So, it's better to stay away from these cloud mining sites, and if you want to invest, then go for the ones who offer genuine returns like genesis mining.
3399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: March 15, 2017, 06:45:51 PM
Losing may be taken as a part, but few people give it too much importance that they have a dilemma being developed in their mind about losses that even if they have chances of earning more, they won't go for more risk due to the fear of losing what they have already got. To overcome their fear, they need to concentrate over their goal and stop being worried as well as should not panic even in the worst scenarios.
3400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 15, 2017, 06:36:24 PM
Trading can't be called gambling completely, but a "may or may not be" kind of a scene may apply here. Trading may be gambling when we trade based on luck itself which is the most important part in gambling too, but we have analysis in terms of trading and gambling (sports betting and many other types of gambling) both. Trading may not be gambling when we are sure about the market's direction based on fundamentals that are being provided, whereas gambling is a completely random action.
