Uber driver is getting progressive. It is not yet Uber directly accepting bitcoin but I think it is the driver's initiative to put his bitcoin address out there for tips. Bitcoin is getting attention though from his passengers who are not yet familiar with bitcoin. A good move, I guess.

It is not good advice to avoid trading just because you failed. Everyone fails and commits mistakes. It is wrong that you have trade too much when you are still a newbie in trading. You could have started small and move your way up slowly. Trading is profitable but takes a lot of patience and time to learn. Experience makes you better at it. So trading small while you gain experience is the best move.

Cryptocurrency is different from forex or stocks. You cannot simply predict the price trend by doing technical analysis. For me, I can better predict the price trend by analyzing the sentiments of the market. I read much here on the forum and if I see some coins getting attention, I predict it will go higher. I cannot predict how much but I will know it will be profitable.

Do you have experience trading and have a established profitable strategy? If yes, then day trading is mofe profitable for you. If not, better hold your coins. Day trading is profitable but there is also a chance to lose.If you do not have enough experience, you might incur more losses than win.

That is the effect of the network spam a few months ago. Exchanges adopted by charging higher tx fees to their clients to hasten tx time. It was effective until the spam stopped. Now it is too expensive. Some exchanges have not adopted to current fee.

Just got my hand on some cash now and i'm thinking of investing in some bitcoins. but as with the new pump recently with the price @3200 not sure what to do. Should i invest now or wait for an opportunity for price to go down?  I hope OP invested when he posted this thread. Bitcoin rosed 25% since then. It is already a good profit. It just shows that it is always a good time to buy bitcoin even when the price is already high. Bitcoin has the capacity to go past its ath. Even at current price, it is still good to invest at bitcoin. It is predicted to go way beyond 4000$. |

They are taking advantage of the high price, exiting from altcoins to get more bitcoin. Then they can dump it for fiat. They can buy bitcoin again if the price gets back down. This is a natural reaction of the market everytime the price of bitcoin suddenly goes up.

You dream too small. Dreaming is free, you do not have to be frugal about it. Dream big and work on it. I am using the bitcoin I earn here to pay for my monthly mortgage of my house. I work double because I have a big dream, and I am very positive with the help of my investment in bitcoin and other crypto, it will be realized. |

I'm not new to Bitcoin I've been using it since 2015 as a wallet since it has no limitations.
After the new record of BTC price I'm really confused, It increased about $1k in less than 1 month which seems suspicious.
I'm thinking of investing some money on BTC and hold them for at least 3 years or more.
But is it a good idea? have any of you made good profit with holding BTC?
Like tell me what do you think of the future of BTC rates, how high could it reach?

You should have invested in 2015. It was just 250 back then. You are asking that now, wait another two years and someone will tell you, you should have invested in 2017. There is nothing wrong with the current hike, it was just that free bch is converted to btc and pumped the price plus the effect of segwit. |

The price can still go higher until segwit is activated. I cannot predict how much it can get high but what I can say is if the price slows down, then maybe the correction will happen. Just continue watching the price if you want to catch the drop for short.

I do not see any conflict with banks. You will still go to banks to finance your business, house or car loans. They have savings accounts but their main source of their income is loans. Even if bitcoin succeeds as a currency, banks can just add it as a new currency and loan people with bitcoin instead of cash. I do not see any problem with that.

Hi all, I believe all of us agree that Bitcoin value will keep rising. But with the limited supply of Bitcoin, the question is, when do we or how do we determine it is no longer profitable to buy Bitcoin ?
Even with limited supply or even if all the bitcoins have been mined, bitcoin will not lose value. It may even push the price even higher because of supply and demand. The only way bitcoin will lose value is when its security is compromised or there is a serious flaw in its code which I doubt will happen. So I believe bitcoin's value will keep rising. |

I am seeing a lot of post for waves lately. If anything, this hype post will push the price to that level, not the reasons stated by op. Like any other coins in the market, if it gets hyped enough, it can easily reach x100 specially if it still is low priced.

Isnt it weird they changed their policy about suiing them and now being down as a website ? , hmmm this sounds a little weird
of course it is weird. if you do not trust poloniex anymore, move your funds away from it. there are lots of exchanges out there, better ones, like bittrex or kraken. better be safe than sorry. |

Delicate time to join bitcoin world. the chain just split and even some people with a bit of experience in crypto are getting confused, much more for a newbie. There are great reads in the beginners section of the forum, I advise you read even if you are not too much into reading. It is the best way to learn crypto.

Now it's worth $947, this is actually crazy, people must be getting rich.
there is an explanation for this, basically no deposit are allowed, so the value can't be dumped by bitcoin holders, this explain why the value is increasing so much and don't hold your hope too much there will be a dump soon Or they are initiating a fake pump so people will be enticed to buy bitcoin cash and avoid others from dumping their coins when deposits are open. But I do not think it will work. |
