341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Smart chain is not really good on: September 19, 2020, 10:04:45 AM

They did, recently a Bill Drummond project was copied but it was on the Binance Chain, which disappoints him.

Binance is trying to grow its ecosystem since launch, there have been a lot of projects moving to BSC but that's not so impressive since there aren't many real development projects but it's just a way to hold seats and create hype with everyone.
it is only network usage in use. won't be much different from ethereum. there are many considerations why use and choose the blockchain network to use for the platform. but seeing that currently, some projects have migrated to the binance network only to be listed on binance DEX. I have also seen several projects that have finally returned to the ethereum network again after previously migrating to the Binance Chain.

As I said, they focus on making money rather than creating a product that developers can easily work with.
Developers need a platform that is easy to use and widely used by many people. For example, Ethereum is well known and easy to use and has been developed by many applications that support Ethereum wallets. The cost of developers creating a DAPP on Ethereum is cheap, but right now the platform's transaction costs are too high and could be a major hurdle in getting their DAPP to everyone.

This is helpful as a person who is getting into coding.  Are there any sites on 4chan and reddit you recommend in particular?

I often ask people for source code or project reviews on Technology and Business & Finance on 4chan.
On Reddit I often see people commenting on cryptocurrencies.
All are for reference only. Wanting to evaluate crypto needs to keep track of many different things.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Smart chain is not really good on: September 18, 2020, 01:57:16 PM
In recent years, Binance has learned from their predecessors, but they are not creating new solutions or groundbreaking ideas, but focusing on getting people to rely on tricks at CEX Binance to increase value for BNB.
BSC is not bad but it is in CZ's control and developers may not like it. I just see BNB as an investment rather than a place for developers to build anything on it.

344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Judge Orders Bitfinex to Turn Over Tether Loan Documents (Again) on: September 18, 2020, 01:49:30 PM
If Tether is accused of cheating again, this could be a shock, the market could be hit hard by bad news like this one. Tether they have printed too much USDT at a rate of 1 billion dollars a month in the last 5 months. Assuming they used USDT to buy altcoins and bitcoins at a good price and now they want to sell them to use the money to prove their liquidity, it is a disaster.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Number of Bitcoin ATMs Hit 9,680 in September on: September 18, 2020, 01:41:19 PM
When the ATM crypto card projects appear, in the future ATMs may support many different types of altcoins. What I am concerned about is that the withdrawal cost per transaction may be higher than regular ATMs.

This is one of the challenges with bitcoin ATM or crypto ATM, the fees are higher compared to other conversion methods like in remittance centers. If they can find a way how to reduce the fees, maybe the number of crypto ATMs will increase as well as those users that will directly use these ATMs.
One idea I have is to wrap cryptocurrencies and use them on low-cost, high-speed blockchains. That is the most optimal way we can do it right now. Users will have to accept the terms from the ATM card provider Crypto.
Below is an example:

A project with no progress, no source code, no community interaction should be discarded. It does not mean much, the money is yours, sometimes we need to ignore and accept losses.
I'm just focusing on projects where the source code is up to date and they are growing steadily.

Judging source code is not always the most easy thing.  Many projects with the oldest code have the most value.
Code review is a difficult task. We can consult with freelance developers, maybe they will help us comment on it.
The simpler way is to post on 4chan or Reddit, where there are lots of people who can help us.
I often do so along with seeing if projects update regularly. Visit GitHub and view each repository, check the update time of the most recent commits.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Number of Bitcoin ATMs Hit 9,680 in September on: September 17, 2020, 03:07:06 PM
The number of ATMs is high, but that doesn't mean everyone will use them. Like traditional ATMs, they mean more of a marketing.
Now people are moving towards less cash by transferring money based on mobile apps. The future of bitcoin is not ATMs but in-store systems that accept Bitcoin.
I wonder if those 9,000 bitcoins are all legal?

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I cannot receive 400 UNI on: September 17, 2020, 03:01:10 PM
Condolences, there are a lot of people who don't receive 400UNI here. Most of us do not choose to trade on Uniswap because of high transaction costs and the listed projects are high risk.
I have seen pumps and dump games at uni swap, although they have a good way to combat this by adding a liquidity pool.
The recipients of the UNI are in luck but compared to the risk of loss on the uni swap seem impervious. Examples are sushiswap, kimchi, hotdog ...
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Court enforces Seizure of Bithumb Korea on: September 17, 2020, 02:49:15 PM
A good start and a bad ending. The Korean crypto market has been in decline for the past few years. They used to be a symbol of the world when they marked the 3k8 Bitcoin milestone in this country, a few hundred dollars away from the world, and coinmarketcap had to remove them from the tracking system to get the market back correctly.
Bithumb has many years of experience, they are the largest exchange, but now no one trusts this exchange anymore.
Volume has decreased, spread, and empty trade volume occurred in many swap pairs.

355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto passive income - a bubble? on: September 03, 2020, 03:11:01 AM
Exactly bubbles, people are racing to buy those coins and lock them up for rewards. Those who come first are the winners and when the market grows to a high-level someone will start to take profits, the domino effect will cause the market to crash. I suspect projects with anonymous dev team have a higher risk of a crash, it's like gambling, we are playing a game without knowing who is behind them.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" replace traditional banking in the future? on: September 03, 2020, 03:05:44 AM
It is difficult to conclude whether DEFI can replace banks because they are just getting started and the capitalization of DEFI projects is very small for the banking market. The DEFI projects are overrated, even though they are new projects. When the government sets cryptocurrency regulations, DEFI is the real rival of the bank.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin maximalists are doing more harm to the crypto space than good ? on: September 03, 2020, 02:57:29 AM
It is best to let it all go natural, bitcoin proponents often do not have any knowledge of how to view the source code of a cryptocurrency. They just get bitcoin to market people outrageously and blindly. Over the years people are still suffering from FOMO for believing in unsubstantiated statements and invitations. There are a lot of people who have lost money because of crypto and so they hate crypto in some way.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't there an official bitcoin wallet? on: September 02, 2020, 07:06:59 AM
Bitcoin developers work on bitcoin core. Why don't they create an official bitcoin wallet as well? It will be exactly like bitcoin core, but without the blockchain. I always had that query.
'official bitcoin wallet', 'It will be exactly like bitcoin core, but without the blockchain'
Sounds interesting, what are you talking about, how to be like bitcoin without blockchain. I do not understand what you mean. There are a lot of companies developing blockchain wallets right now and they are doing so well that there is no need to create a bitcoin wallet. That would take more time for the DEV team instead of focusing on bitcoin development.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto community getting lost again? on: September 02, 2020, 06:55:57 AM
These projects are copying each other's source code, and one of them improves a little to make his code a little different. What these projects have in common is having anonymous team dev, I am very concerned about that because they can disappear at any moment. Any negative news can bring these projects down. They are being manipulated. Investors are careful.
360  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bailouts become more frequent? on: September 01, 2020, 11:12:50 AM
The bailout packages will be more frequent than for sure. Currently, businesses and people tend to borrow to maintain their business and reinvest. They have a habit of borrowing and they will continue to borrow. If diseases and natural disasters become more prevalent in the face of climate change, further relief packages will continue to be rolled out.
