341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH really becoming a new BTC on: March 05, 2016, 05:27:15 PM

Your right, but I am just saying why the Chinese cant take eth over, eth is much much much more difficult to get centralised, and the fact pos is coming which makes it even more difficult.

Chinese miners cant even gpu farm because the latency of solved blocks is far too long with there crappy internet. By the time they solve a block someone else has already submitted an accepted block.

there are not only chinese with cheap electricity, as long as there are those with free electricity or very cheap you cna not prevent centralization, no matter the algo, the coin or anything else

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Accumulator moved 1.4m coins to Kraken on: March 02, 2016, 08:43:56 PM
yeah I was thinking that

you mean kraken is the accumulator?

Seems odd since most of the accumulator's coins came from Polo
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Accumulator moved 1.4m coins to Kraken on: March 02, 2016, 08:40:32 PM
theres alot of fud in that post, take it with a pinch of salt, what the ethereum team have done so far is nothing short of amazing and is not your typical alt-coin shite. I beleive in ETH, if there are issues to be ironed out, with a team of 70 active developers, I trust they will sort issues as they arise.

let's hope a return to $2 so I can get some more. I don't see it though now. I missed the boat with eth. However it was my own fault. I don't say they didn't give enough opportunity to buy in at a decent level for a reasonable time. I have a tiny amount but can't waste too much btc on it.

Maybe you got lucky you missed the boat. Maybe the accumulator had read this: The Ethereum Paradox

347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: February 25, 2016, 11:14:29 PM
so many people banking on price increase from block halving, yes we will most likely see a artificial price rise due to speculators and FOMO's, but the halving does not mean the price of bitcoin is going to double. the exact opposite can happen.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 25, 2016, 12:25:28 AM

I actually only started accumulating at the start of Feb so no I was not in before the bubble, I have been buying at all prices, today I bought 1 btc worth.

I believe in Ethereum long term.

it depends what you are, are you a day trader or a long term investor ?

Personally I have been accumulating some ether everyday despite price, some days I might pay more for the ether, but in the long term, 1 years time etc, its going to be very profitable anyway, so if you are thinking when to buy but not sure when too, ether at 6$ is still very cheap for the long term prospects.

As a long-term investor, I guess you've been investing regularly since before the bubble then, and not just after price exploded? Strange, because I ran a text analysis on your post history, and the phrases eth, ether and ethereum do not appear at all until 19th Feb...

how the hell do you work that chart out like that, amazing,
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 22, 2016, 09:55:32 PM
theres a thing called sharding in ethereum, block-chain size growing is not problem.

its lighting fast, I can transfer my ethereum from exchange like for example kraken, from the moment when I send it from the exchange, to the moment its in my wallet and confirmed, is a matter of about 30 seconds.

Ethereum is bitcoin 2.0

The block size of Ethereum grows too fast. Is there a way to make it grow slower? It is much faster than Bitcoin.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 21, 2016, 01:38:30 PM
is anyone solo mining ethereum?

currently I am mining on a pool with my single 290, churning out 29 mh/s.

playing with the idea of going solo, but not sure if it would work out so wanted to hear from anyone else that is currently soloing and finding blocks ?
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU Mining Ethereum on: February 20, 2016, 09:02:57 PM

so that means the botnets take eth over  Roll Eyes ? lol

what will happen the difficulty though when cpu mining is re-introduced with pos, will it go back down ?

CPU mining is dead for a very long time now.

If you want to CPU mine Eth, you're better be prepared to wait roughly 5 months (on average) to find a single block with 1 Mh/s (= i7 5820K).

CPU mining will happen again in about 10 months for Ethereum. It will be a PoS coin then. You need a CPU to process the blocks.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CPU Mining Ethereum on: February 19, 2016, 07:09:31 PM
does anyone know of list that shows mining hash rates for eth on cpus ?

would it be worth investing in some Azure servers you think ?
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Hours no no confirm on: February 19, 2016, 05:55:23 PM
ah I understand now,

I was just using the auto slider in the bitcoin-core, so I should be using a custom fee as per the chart you linked, gotchaaa

thanks m8

as I said the number of unconfirmed transactions are high right now and is increasing. the recomended fee will also increase. your 25 satoshi per byte fee is actually half of the current standard fee which is 50 satoshi per byte. the recommended fee will most likely change later so see this site before you send a tx next time.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Hours no no confirm on: February 19, 2016, 05:39:58 PM
as I have already stated, I did pay a high fee  Roll Eyes  Grin

[/quote]
We cant predict how long it will take ,wanna fast confirmation pay a high fee and those may and should happen, besides those means that bitcoins transactions keep growing being much more then before.

358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Hours no no confirm on: February 19, 2016, 05:07:31 PM
just one other thing,

is this going to take another 3 hours for 1 more confirm ?
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Hours no no confirm on: February 19, 2016, 05:04:12 PM
thanks for the reply,

yeah it was strange it took so long to confirm especially as i included a really high fee. second highest fee to be exact.

is there stress testing going on the bitcoin network atm?

jaysus talk of the devil haha, i see it confirm there,

but how has it taken so long, when i sent it with the slider set to fast confirm, can anyone explain that ?
Don't know why it took your transaction so long to confirm, but I just had one that took about 20 hours to confirm--but I selected the Jewish Miner's Fee option on Mycelium and I will never do that again.  Way, way too slow.  This happened a few months back when the stress testing was going on.  Sometimes it just takes a while.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Hours no no confirm on: February 19, 2016, 04:59:04 PM

aahhh that makes total sense now, thanks a mill dude,

I edited my post above while you were typing. see that. hope that helps.
