hi m8, I tried this and ethminer said it wasnt a valid application, can you screen shot yours? thanks Thanks very much pal. I will try this later You need to use a hex editor, Copy ethminer.exe rename to ethminer2.exe (change it back after these steps) Edit with hex editor and search for "full-" and you will see something like "full-R%u-%016llx" then change "full-" to "ful2-" and save it.

As someone above already posted. All the info is in this link. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/499a7w/gas_prices_are_already_kinda_down_to_20_shannon/Miners set the gas price that they will pay. So they can set it to whatever they like. It will adjust to reflect to the real world costs of running the mining equipment (so if ETH goes up, the gas price will decrease).
If I am a miner, where do I set the gas price in the geth software? If I mine a block, can I reject the contract with low gas?

Msi afterburner I use windows to mine on 4x gpu. No issues. Have tried both ubuntu and windows and decided to just stick on windows.
Fyi those 7970 lighnings go like bats out of caves. You can overclock to 1200 core easy for 27+hash.
Really? How would I do this? I never was able to do it properly in cgminer!

You are correct. The fees have risen and people often send btc with the default fee set in bitcoin core, even if the slider is set all the way to fastest its still not enough of a fee. You need to set a custom fee otherwise will be hours upon hours to confirm I used the deposit using BTC function of the ethereum wallet.
It gave me a deposit address and told me that it will be converted into Ether and sent to my Ethereum wallet address.
I'm still awaiting its arrival after 24+ hours
Did you check the BTC deposit adress you were given via BTC-blockexplorer if your payment from multibit wallet went trough? Bitcoin has a lot of unconfirmed transactions these days, so small amounts can take some time to reach its destination. djoser.

I get where your coming from. But it would have to be astounding to be able to top the ethereum dev team. They have over 70 active devs and the brain behind this sort of tech aka Vitalik. I honestly do not see Ethereum being brushed under the carpet.

Bitcoin was reproduced many times but none of the forks ever surpassed bitcoin.
Its the same with Ethereum. There will be copies no doubt, but Ethereum is the godfather of its own Tech.

I was just about to point this out but you beat me to it, i have to laugh at all these posts from people who see themselfs as experts on Ethereum but still do not actually understand the Ethereum core and how it was designed. Fomo happens all coins, but the underlying technology in Ethereum is amazing, I remember reading the whitepaper before Ethereum was even built and said to myself theres no way they can pull it off, fast forward a few years and here we are. The development is consistant and everytime Vitalik delivers what he proposes. It is for this fact that I bought a small portion of Ethereum and continue to mine it, but make no misteak its a different beast to bitcoin and for different use. Thirdly, what happens when the price of GAS gets too expensive and the network becomes uncompetitive ? One of 2 things:
a) other smart contract networks start appearing which are more competitively priced and featured (since they have the advantage of watching the mistakes in the first one)
b) the Ethereum network simply issues more GAS tokens to lower the transaction fee to a competitive level (that's my assumption but better confirm this as I'm not quite sure about how this mechanism works)
GAS is just a way to represent the cost of transaction independent of ETH price right? If ETH price increases too much, to let's say $1,000, it's possible to reduce gasPrice, so I don't see this scenario you describe of the Ethereum network becoming uncompetitive because of ETH price.

Hi everyone,
I am trying to get Ethminer to only use 3 of my gpus and leave 1 free for other tasks.
I tried --opencl-device 1 2 3 and --opencl-device 1,2,3 and it will only use 1 gpu.
is there a command i can use to display device id ?
I cant understand what is happening here lol others say to use the commands a above to set what cards to use and it works,
this is what I get if I just use the defaul -G command

Having all your eggs in one basket isnt a good thing either. I wont be moving some of my bitcoin to eth as some people say that eth is a failed crypto from the start.

I searched your other posts and you said and I quote "The rise in Ethereum has in my opinion as much to do with Bitcoin's problems than with Ethereum itself. The market is looking for an alternative to Bitcoin. People are looking for alternatives that do not have "the problem" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1388381.0. Ehtereum is not an alternative to Bitcoin, simply because it is designed to do something else entirely. It is Ethereum 1.0 not Bitcoin 2.0. Monero on the other hand does not have "the problem" and is designed from the ground up as a possible replacement for Bitcoin, so it could be called a true Bitcoin 2.0 coin. The market of course will have the final say." You recognize Ethereum as a Bitcoin 2.0 coin due to its very different use cimpared to Bitcoin. So are you not contradicting yourself by calling Ethereum a complete scam ? I do not see Ethereum as a scam, my reasons are its a totally new blockchain technology and its purpose is different than bitcoin. Its the first coin of type and therefore it shouldnt be even classed as an alt-coin. An alt-coin is a fork of bitcoin technology. No one knows the ultimate outcome of Ethereum, it could be a huge success or a complete failure, I personally hold some Ethereum and Bitcoin for the long term prospects, I never held any altcoins other than Bitcoin but since I see Ethereum as a different beast I will hold some of it. Now, if we were voting on biggest scam, the poll would be correct with dash in the lead.
Biggest would be Ethereum. Dash is a minnow compared to the ETH. I agree and have voted accordingly.

That coin was nothing new really.
The difference in Ethereum is that jts not just a fork of bitcoin but a totally new concept. Its like bitcoin was to all other alt coins as is Ethereum to forks of Ethereum technology.

You have only lost money if you sell. If you sell with a loss you are silly and should not trade. Its just bad that those who push this alt coin didnt manage to get it high at such scale and it is going down again. Last few days a lot was bragging about this eth and now after the dump some of those who bought the currency has lost some money.

Thank you. Im sold.
One more thing can custom fan settings be used? This is most important to me

Personally I find coinotron to be the best. So i want to stick with them.
Can you overclock the core and memory in ethos ?
This sounds like a great distro

Thank you.
Can this be used for pool mining ? Eg coinotron that uses their own proxy..
Im intrested but I only pool mine wuth a few hundred hash
