341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold? on: February 13, 2018, 08:50:29 PM
So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks

I was never good at trading. My timing is not good. Crypto is great for trading because of high volatility but I stick with ICO and a number of them are now long term holds. My platform for everything are Ethereum and Neo.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Verge on: February 13, 2018, 08:47:43 PM
I have been mining Verge for about a week. What does everyone think about this coin, does it still have room to grow or is it past it's prime already?

I am not really enthusiastic about privacy coins but from the ones out there I like Verge best, because it has a large and enthusiastic community. I also like zen cash and they have security nodes. Might also be worth looking at.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: February 13, 2018, 08:45:05 PM
Hello,
Yesterday I saw some increase in my total estimated token value, and today it dropped significantly.
It appears that a lot of people are selling their airdropped tokens as soon as they get them.
I have not sold a single token from airdrops, and with the exception of some them, they seem to be mostly losing value in time.
Should I do the same or hodl hoping that some of them may increase in value, closing the gap I lose in the process?

most airdropped token get first traded on ED and Idex. The price there not really significant. Check if there is the potential for bigger exchange and if there is a telegram channel. That might give you better insight what is planned like exchange listing or additional airdrops for HODLers. I am sceptical if the % of total tokens dropped is too high.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacken - So much under the radar..! on: February 13, 2018, 08:38:09 PM
https://blog.singularitynet.io/hacken-joins-singularitynet-to-pursue-ai-powered-cybersecurity-a241e373e7b7

Just wanted to put that out there. I was extremely bullish on Hacken before due to low token supply, market cap and token burn model. And because I believe there is a good business opportunity for Hacken.Market cap $18,383,616 USD and trading on Kucoin...

Anything below 10 USD is a steal. As soon as you have made a significant profit on that one kindly drop me some merit. Thanks!
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 11, 2018, 02:14:15 PM
"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks

Crypto or blockchain will trigger massive change that might lead to a world government. Blockchain is a new level of technology and it is never possible to block superior technology with political interference. Really interesting that the political disunity on the planet will secure the quick advancement of this breakthrough. Reminding me of that part in history lesson where Britain was ruling the world with a 100 ironclads.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacken - So much under the radar..! on: February 11, 2018, 02:08:46 PM
Total supply is 5.6 M and circulating supply is 3.7 M.

Currently the market cap is only 13 M.

Based on my study, the company and people are REAL. They have secured partnerships with Sophia (SingularityNet), NaepoleanX, Legolas already.

Speculations are that tomorrow there will be some announcements regarding an exchange.

Hacken will start trading on Kucoin in less than one hour! Something I have really been looking forward to, after Hacken so far was only trading in small quantities on ED and Yobit. So lets see what people on Kucoin make out of it.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 09, 2018, 03:47:09 PM
I have been trading crypto-currencies for almost a year now, investing, participating in bounty companies and building my own mining farm.
I wonder how many more girls are in this forum?
Or who of the guys is teaching his girlfriends and wives to invest and trade in crypto-currencies? It is very interesting to me!

I tell everyone about blockchain, who wants to hear about. The interests are different. Some are really interested in the technical side. Many well mainly interested for the obvious financial potential. Some even thrilled by the political potential. I do not discriminate against women with sharing my little knowledge. I feel women are especially good at research and sometimes have better nose if it comes to trading. The trading potential with the high volatility is massive but not suitable for everyone.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BitConnect recover? on: February 08, 2018, 02:03:43 PM
Bitconnect was an obvious scam from the start. A trading robot generating 1% interest or more per day? What I felt was most disturbing about bitconnect people willing to invest even though they felt it was a scam and just gambling to do a timely exit with massive profits before the game is up.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO. Yes or No?! on: February 07, 2018, 04:19:41 PM
I am reading so many good things about NEO, or to say
Chinese Ethereum. I am thinking to buy it and I need your
advice on this.
Is NEO a good long term investment? Which wallet is the
best for NEO?
Is there anyone here who wish to sell some NEO, or I need
to register at some exchange site and buy NEO?
Thanks for all the answers, I hope we can make some good
deals here.

I am expecting a very good year 2018 for Neo. It is really starting to compete with Ethereum in the space of ICO. I think narrative was the first ICO ever first planning to do ICO on ETH and then switching to Neo. There is still some concerns about the policy of China on blockchain but I honestly think they are not stupid enough to severely restrict that space too much.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ⛏[ANN][AIRDROP][MVP] Whalesburg - SOFTWARE BUNDLE FOR CRYPTOCURRENCY MINERS⛏ on: February 07, 2018, 04:11:30 PM
I am not normally getting too exciting about mining related projects but this seems to be a little bit more than an additional mining operation.

Beta version of auto-switching algorithm MVP has already a ROI 15–30% superior to existing mining pool solutions and a progression margin.
first server side auto-switching algorithm
Unlike other mining pool, the fees structure is transparent because visible on the blockchain, they use actual exchange rate
already have a partner to cash out into fiat
auto convert all the mined coin to ETH if needed
hardware monitoring tool can not only monitor the health of your hardware it will also make suggestions on how to improve (overclock…) your setup
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: porn/sex industry and cryptocurrency on: February 05, 2018, 09:54:45 PM
I believe cryptocurrency in combination with porn/sex industry has huge potential. Are there any interesting projects?

I know these:

OKOin - buy adult VR content with OKO (ICO, already bought some)
vicetoken - getting paid for watching porn?
sexcoin - dead
boobscoin - dead
bigboobscoin - dead

ahaha getting paid for watching porn... Well I do not see that as a typical use case for blockchain to be honest. Ok well if you want to pay people to watch porn and and are able to monetise on that, the online porn market is big enough. Good luck with that line of investment.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: February 05, 2018, 09:51:43 PM
I'm extremely depressed about my impatience and persistence.
I'm a stupid man. Fuck myself.
I bought the ETC when its price was 15$, i kept it for three months, including when it down at 9$, I still don't sell, because i believe it. And when ETC rise to 15$. I sold everything and waited it down $ 13 to buy more. But, fuck myself, the next day it rise to fucking 30$, Are you kidding me?
I bought 5000 XRP from May, i still believe it, I bought more yesterday, I bought when its price was 0,00001610sts, and when it down 0,00001558, i afraid BTC up, XRP down. So i sold everything. And... This morning I woke up with a sense of chest not say words.

This is my mistake, definitely like that. I can't blame anyone.
I told myself, "The market is still there. Nothing to hurry"
I don't complain, i post here just relieve stress. I didn't  tell anyone about this, including my wife.
Thank for listening.

well check on some of the new listings get stuff like Matrix, Odyssey or Zilliqa and just HODL. The market will soon be back with a vengeance. Dont cash in on your next x2 let it rise. For Ethereum and Neo brilliant time to buy again. The market cap for whole blockchain is a bloody joke. This is the next tech level and nothing less.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple comes to 2 dollar by end of Feb 2018 on: February 05, 2018, 09:43:12 PM
Will Ripple comes to 2 dollar by end of Feb 2018? Please give us your comments and analysis.

I do not think they will ever again see 2 USD. Wanchain is coming soon and also I would favour an investment in Nano to Ripple.

354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic buy and panic sell | chance on: February 04, 2018, 08:01:46 PM
Well the volatility will be significantly up in 2018. I am not very good at trading as I have trouble keeping the timing right so I have to stick with more traditional investing and ICO. Question really is, what is traditional investing after 40% of market cap was wiped out within 2 days? It is really not for people who lose their nerve. One the other hand it is a massive bull market that I still expect to grow x10 this year.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An alternative to tether? on: February 03, 2018, 04:43:26 PM
There is no doubt that Tether needs an alternative. But it's pretty hard to do. Tether is connected with crypto exchange, so it's easier for them to prove real dollars for confirming liquidity. But even in this case, Tether developers have a lot of questions. Do you want to develop a huge project on your own? One idea is not enough. You need people with experience.

Well arguing like that why should one of the other big exchanges not be able to come up with something like that. Also it might be of interest for the exchanges that currently dont offer a payout into fiat to give people an option in a falling market. Still wondering how that will play out with Tether. Their reserve should be like 2 billion USD. As it is linked to Bitfinex who do 1 Billion turnover per day I cannot imagine any major problem here.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: February 03, 2018, 03:04:28 PM
The exchanges have started adding additional trading pairs for a number ok coins and tokens. This weakens the position of BTC. Still there is plenty of coins that are only trading against BTC. Overall I think ETH might do better than BTC this year.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we have a price drop? on: February 02, 2018, 10:37:11 PM
Do you have any ideas why do we have such a painful drop in prices? Any solid explanations?
I don't like when people say: "correction". It is a bit more than a simple correction.  Something should stay behind this.
I think about several factors:
- Korean regulations to create transparent market - many people like crypto to be private thing,
- usdt problems and subpoena,
- price drop of btc - it is not a king now and we need another stable coin to make purchases. Drop in btc fears people.

Other things like facebook advertising bans and bans of credit cards for buying crypto shouldn't have massive effect. But for me thiss correction lasts too long. Every next dip surprises me more and more.

Storm of "negative" news like Tether, India and Facebook. Also the market was ripe for a correction. Happened before. Even bigger corrections. Instead of being fearful start searching for opportunities. Volatility is up. The new players not shy to go back to fiat but with a clear focus on reinvesting in crypto. The increased volatility will go both ways.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So how will be the market in February? on: February 02, 2018, 04:37:41 PM
to wait for BTC to hit 5K at this stage I think is a risky game. A lot of money was pulled out of crypto into fiat. There is now more money in play as obvious in market cap. But a lot of this money is sitting with investors who are targeting the blockchain space. Never say never but I have my doubts that BTC will ever see 5K again.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: February 02, 2018, 04:18:33 PM
I am a big fan of Ethereum and Neo. I think it is quite obvious that BTC is not state of the art any more. Still a lot of coins only trade against BTC. Then there is a lot of vested interests in BTC if you check who is mining it. What I dislike about BTC is, that well it has mighty enemies. Not only in politics and finance but also in the blockchain space. There was talk about an operation "Dragonslayer" a while ago and BTC always described as the elefant in the room. I do not see how BTC is holding blockchain back.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next big coin in your opinion? on: February 02, 2018, 04:14:16 PM

Neo
Zilliqa
Matrix
Odyssey
Pareto Networks (rumor about listing on binance)
