With so many pump and dump, newbie CrapCoins and ScamCoins on this list why isn't ShitCoin listed? At least that's an honest, upfront CrapCoin.

Netcoin is worth 0.00474597 XPM 1000000000000 Seriously? Netcoin doesn't have nearly 100 trillion coins, or anywhere even close to that. ShitCoin, however, does. It's like saying: Bitcoin is worth $1,000 per coin. It has nothing to do with the price of tea in China so what's the point. Something has to be done cause CENT has a lot of potential, and this interest error was allowed to run much too long - and I have a strong feeling large amounts of CENT are in the hands of a few who knew early on about the coding bug. I threw out Net coin to compare with pennie's value. I know. But it's as irrelevant as throwing out Bitcoin's $1,000 price. Netcoin is a totally different coin with a different plan and without a runaway bug which may have greatly enriched a few insiders while diluting everyone else to the tune of ShitCoin's once untouchable 100 trillion coin pile. Let's hope Shakezula et al have some sort of plan otherwise CENT will be trading against ShitCoin with SHT selling for much more. Cause at least They (SHT) were upfront about their 100 Trillion CrapCoin. |

iXcoin has the third highest hash rate in the world, behind Bitcoin, making nearly as secure as Bitcoin. There is only 1 other coin which comes close to it yet iXcoin isn't even on this list?
I can't believe this list has so many new pump and dump coins yet not one of the oldest and most secure coins in the world. Can you please add iXcoin to the list because quite a few people would like to vote for it.

I contacted Bitezze.com
This is their answer:
"We utilize Coinpayments as our crypto clearinghouse, currently IXC is not one of their supported currencies. They are however conducting a poll right now as to what new coins to accept, you should make sure that members of your community vote for IXC. If it is added to Coinpayments system I will surly enable it as a currency accepted at our store."
Basically if we are able to convince Coinpayments to add IXC, Bitezze.com will add IXC a new accepted currency.
I just sent an email as well to coinpayments to please add iXcoin as it's the third most secure crypto-coin in the world. That right there alone is a good enough reason. Like Vlad was saying, educated, clever Wallstreet Bankers will see what should have been obvious to all the supposed techies out here. The bankers are gonna come in, clean up and change this entire game since everyone here has been so clueless. |

Pennies do have a purpose. They have no digits and are plentiful, thus making them the everyman's currency. They also are PoS, and we all know why that's a good thing. The fact that storing the coins is how new ones are made, rather than mining them, makes them perfect for banking. Inflation should go to the bottom, not the top as it does with QE and discount loans from central banks to the rich. We'd like to make that happen. If you are a C# coder and would like to have some input in turning this into "The People's Penny", contact us. We also need some help figuring out some permission issues between our IIS website and the QT client. We're working on the API to do automated transactions in BTC, LTC, XPM, and CENT. Once we have that we're very close to registrations. It would also be nice to have people available who can translate, especially into Spanish. And last, if the dev ever decides to abandon this coin, we will take it over without hesitation. FTC yes instamine PPC even if it was can afford to be in respect of is POS and no where near NXT pos. Also has different algo, and really that stuff was laying around so cheap for so long, eg, in feb 2013, about $100 would easily get you 10K - 20K PPC, but no one could be bothered to buy. I mean It was just lying around on vircurex lots of it. Mastercoin I can quite grok except what is the benefit of own more than a fraction of a coin to get all the feature? I understand it did have a buy in open to all and the dev made a call ages ago to be part of it and no one even bothered to try and join in. So no not insta mine. IXC coin has some , well shall we say stuff going on and a cloud hanging over it due to launch. I am still at a bit of a loss as to why you don't use IOCOIN, it has a good hash 1/5th of IXC and no premine cloud, scam hanging over it. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the i zero in the name but i0 coin is a dud, a total turn off for me and this was the case from the first day I saw it's name. Look around, a coin's name goes a long long way. I for one rather spend triple on a coin I like and it's pretty obvious nobody is going for this i0Coin is just as good story. But if you've got the money it doesn't hurt to diversify I guess but I'm liking the ixCoin story (Vlad's version) and the current developments (FrictionMan). |

I think the benefits of such an association are broad and deep. Digital cash is all about cash and contracts seamlessly wrapped into one so we definitely want to go that way. I'm a bit shocked that Bitcoin isn't doing it more extensively. The only thing I can think about is the bureaucratic, bloated nature of its foundation which could prove to be its undoing if they fail to innovate quickly enough. Too many rich people on that foundation with too much to lose making all the wrong choices. As for the conference - what do you mean by representing? I'm an Architect and the only other loud mouth here is Vlad and I believe he's an Economist so I'm not sure how non-techie guys can represent iXcoin which is why I'm asking what level of representation you're suggesting. Otherwise I think it's a great idea and we should definitely have someone there to represent iXCoin. Do you think you can roll out the .7 code with the colored coins upgrades by then, Jan 25th? It would be nice to have something real and not just promises like most alt coins in this world. With all the money that is on the line with Bitcoin, they need to take a very conservative approach to any core changes. By contrast iXcoin can be a little bit more nimble and aggressive. If we compare the 3 other competitors: Mastercoin - rides on top of the Block chain but unfortunately there are serious concerns about its scalability. Invictus - they have a basic clone (Protoshares) than is used as a way to raise funds for yet undelivered new kinds of coins. ColoredCoins - an add on to Bitcoin, however no changes are made to Bitcoin to support it. Presence in Miami would give up more exposure to people interested in crypto currencies. I think a lot of folks have never heard of iXcoin simply because the coin has been neglected for so long by the original developer. I agree and many still think ixCoin is either dead or a scam. The whole scam thing has got to go and just that alone would take us much higher. For that we need something which adds real credibility and such an upgrade to the .7 code may go a long way toward that goal. So what exactly would be required if a non-techie person would make the long trip to Miami? Are we talking a presentation or just to be there to answer basic questions? |

May I suggest you add something to the website about iXcoin being the first coin with a clear path to become the world's first SmartCoin or SmartCurrency which is exactly what we're talking about here, I believe and hopefully we can be the first coin to take the title of the world's first SmartCoin before anybody else does.
And I've been thinking that maybe, down the line, further simplifying the name to simply, xCoin, without the i, as it flows better but for now iXcoin is good as it's still very popular and recognizable to name anything with an i.
"A coin that seamlessly does so much more than money has ever done to further simplify and enrich our lives."

I plan on iXcoin Development Team to join this organization: http://www.coda.coMembers of this organization include Mastercoin, Invictus and ColoredCoins. The vision is to have iXcoin support a "native" implmentation of ColoredCoins. We will be investigating the minimum necessary tweaks that are necessary for Bitcoin 0.8.6 and hope to release a release version when Bitcoin 0.8.7 is released. Please stay tuned. Some of these coins coming out are a total joke yet iXCoin is still being ignored. Yet for some reason it's still nearly impossible to accumulate. I've been trying to buy a few thousand iXcoins for 24 hours now and I barely got a nibble and 3 times I moved my bid to the highest on the books.
Very strange in my mind for a coin minting over 100,000 new coins per day and with nearly 18 million coins out there. I have not seen any coin be this difficult to buy.
I think your calculation of the number of new coins a day is incorrect, it should be: 13824. That is 25 * 6 * 96 = 13,824. Which roughly is worth $1,797 at 13 cents a coin. That is a little over 2 BTC a day. So even if miners were selling everything they can get their hands on, it should not affect the price much. I also suspect that there is much less than the 18 million coins theoretically out there. Over a 2 1/2 year period of iXcoin existence, with the lack of maintenance of the coin, the delistings in BTC-E and in Vircurex, it is likely a lot of the coins have been accidentally destroyed. Where are you trying to buy? I use Vircurex and there are usually a few thousand that position themselves right near the top of the sell side of the order-book. -MarkM- Cryptsy. I've heard large blocks are to be found on Vircurex so maybe in a few days I'll give it a shot. Thanks, Mark. |
