A "Martingale" is a failure betting fallacy, and a casino can only hope for players so stupid. It will result in a player going bust far quicker than the casino. I can believe this. I played over a thousand rolls this past week alone in the 50% bracket. I always start out with .05 BTC, and I've gone on 7x losing streaks (Lose .05 -> .10 -> .20 -> .40 -> .80 -> 1.60 -> 3.20) about a half dozen times. However, after looking at my trade history, I've NEVER gone beyond 5 straight wins, ever. 50% my ass. You are welcome to verify each and every bet using the verification method described on the site. Smarter people than me can tell you why that's legitimate. I also welcome you to do a scan of the 50% bets that have ever occurred, and see if the results are significantly off from what they should be. I'm not trying to belittle your pain, I feel you. Lost lots of money on the Sex and the City slot machines in vegas last week ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) (true story)

the housing bubble crash was caused due to a lack in regulation rather than over-regulation.
A lack of regulation, eh? Tell me about how the price of money in the US is unregulated...

Erik not trying to be an ass, but... Don't you have an obligation with your shareholders to put feedzebirds back online instead of advertising for gogreensolar and cam sites on the forum? I mean, it's offline for weeks. And don't tell me the wallet is still syncing, because not even a donkey will believe it.
A very fair point. If I was the developer I'd get it back online asap, but the developer has several obligations he's trying to juggle. FZB will be taken care of, improved, and expanded, but it won't be done as quickly as anyone wants and I apologize for this. Worst case scenario I will spend my own funds to reinvigorate it and get it into the proper hands.

I think that the point was not that this particular company is especially significant but that we see this happening pretty much every day. Ever since WordPress hopped on board, the rate of new Bitcoin accepting merchants and organizations accepting Bitcoin donations has increased significantly.

the difference between shorting and selling!
shorting: selling only to buy back lower (covering) selling: selling with no intention to buy back ever. (getting the fuck out)
leveraged trading is playing with borrowed money.
"Shorting" specifically refers to selling shares you don't own (typically by borrowing them from a broker or someone else). You then -must- buy them back to cover that debt. Your bet is that the price will be lower, so you buy them back for less than you sold them for, and profit! If you just have an asset and sell some of it, for whatever reason, that's not shorting, it's just called selling ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hi guys, Erik directed me to this board from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=138248.0I asked him for guidance on getting the word out to the Bitcoin community that we started accepting Bitcoins through Bitpay on http://classycams.com/So far I am pleased with the results. I'm here to answer any questions and help where I can. Cheers! Welcome! You should put a link to ClassyCams.com in your signature (not sure if you can do this until you're out of newbie jail though)

Your readers should also know that Bitcoin was the best performing currency in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Even if it does nothing else this year, it will take the title again in 2013.
Appreciation 2010: some ridiculous percentage (sub $0.01 to just under $1.00) 2011: About 1500% 2012: About 100% 2013 thus far: About 25%

The $17 mark is because one guy suddenly spent hundreds of thousands on coins in the last few days.
Source? And if true, then why did he do it? Like anyone who is actually paying attention to this thing, perhaps he realized that Bitcoin has proven itself and is now starting to make inroads outside the Bitcoin community.

All the talk about why the rally is happening. In my opinion, it is simple. Because this is happening on websites... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F7y6WKaS.png&t=663&c=gQT4G0nJv3G9cQ) The fact that you don't know which site I pulled this from proves my point ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Subject: Dwolla teams up with the government LOL!!! Worst marketing department ever... It's so funny ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Can you ever imagine a Bitcoin company sending that out as an email? It's a different paradigm completely... though unfortunately the "average person" would see nothing wrong with that subject line.

Some of you guys are so short-sighted ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) This site is new, it's a pilot site. The owner ALSO OWNS several large cam sites and is using this smaller test site to get a feel for Bitcoin. Is it the guy that made a complete ass of himself on stripperweb and personally ensured that no one in the cam industry will ever touch bitcoin for the next decade? No it's not.

This would be big news if it worked...I tried it out. 1. I went to classycams.com and registered an account 2. Clicked "Add Credits" 3. Scrolled to the bottom to find BitPay. 4. Came to the familiar BitPay page and paid my 0.577 BTC ~ 10$ 5. Then I could click on a "continue" button and was sent to http://www.camwithher.com/ Yes, that is another site... camwithher.com is not classycams.com ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I did not get credited to my classycams.com account ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Is this 10$ out of the window? That's probably a bug of some kind (I'll let Tony know). I deposited $10 and it worked, but the credit didn't appear for some time (I think it was one or two confs). Refresh yours soon and perhaps it'll be visible.

Please trust me, they are significant. It's not LiveJasmin or Cams.com... but if LiveJasmin starts seeing all these sites with Bitcoin support, what do you suppose will happen?

Giszmo is right, this site isn't exactly good at attracting new customers. Why having to deposit a minimum of 10$? Why not just tipping girls directly?
A) Minimum is $10 because sites in the "normal world" are used to credit card fees, etc. They have not yet realized the power of Bitcoin. Let's help them. B) The girls don't accept Bitcoin (yet). When you deposit coins they are converted to USD for the girls who are paid normally. If sites like this see that Bitcoin is a viable payment option (which we know it is not only viable but superior), then they will add Bitcoin to other sites. In time, Bitcoin will be everywhere. When Bitcoin is everywhere, normal girls will start realizing it make sense to be paid out in Bitcoin. Then, site operators will realize they can start cutting out visa/mastercard/etc., and will start allowing girls to be tipped directly with coin. But you don't get to that last phase all at once. Business doesn't work that way. Bitcoin is moving from the phase of "bitcoin only sites built by bitcoiners" to the real world, and is going to change everything. But first, we need to help with these steps along the way, and support the sites that are willing to take them.

CCBill: Credit Add $10 for 10 Credits CCBill: DirectPay Add €8 for 10 Credits Pay using Bitcoins via BitPay Add $10 <--- For what exactly? To tip the admin?
You deposit funds to the site. Then from your balance you tip the girls.

I feel like if Amazon had a smaller testing site and started accepting Bitcoin there, the lot of you would yell out, "but it doesn't have 5,000,000 products, what crap!" Bitcoin adoption is a process. If you don't contribute to and help each step, the next is less likely to occur.

Saw this from a tweet yesterday (note: link is NSFW) @classycams Attention all Bitcoin users, we added a new payment option on http://classycams.com/ You can now pay using your Bitcoins through BitPay! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F1qoNx3P.png&t=663&c=37OX0ZkeoLZwIQ) This is pretty significant. FINALLY the professional adult industry is starting to take notice of Bitcoin. This is the first professional cam site that I'm aware of that accepts BTC, and others will be watching. The owner of this site actually contacted me this morning, and asked for recommendations on how to promote this to the BTC community. He said that if it runs smoothly, he'll add Bitcoin support to his other cam sites. If you like girls, I recommend giving the site a try. Deposit some money and enjoy the sweet fruits of bitcoin http://www.classycams.com/
