341  Other / Meta / Re: The case of one account with no posts and 250 merit on: September 18, 2018, 11:10:21 PM
I've seen this before with farmed accounts. By deleting the post history they can sell the account and re-use the previous posts to farm a new account without getting caught for plagiarism.

This is a big weakness that needs to be addressed.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell? on: September 18, 2018, 10:58:43 PM
Hello everyone!

We all know that the situation with market is not that good as we want it to be. Thus it affects a lot of ICO projects. On the one hand people don't invest in coin so much money as they did last year. On the other bounty hunters sell tokens fast and the price goes very low. That is why some projects prefer list their token on Idex first. They want to see how a coin plays on market.

And what investors should do in such situation? Sell all they have for small money or wait until a token will go up?

I'm asking as a person working in such project. After ICO token price went down (KCY, I'm sure you heard of it). And It is interesting to know investor's opinion about such situation.

What is your idea?

This is sell panic ..!
This is the scourge of beginners and weak nerves
They lose a lot and cause others to lose (some time only)

344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell car for Bitcoin on: September 17, 2018, 11:28:10 PM
My friend decided to sell his car and invest all the money in Bitcoin as some people predict that 1 BTC will reach 500 000$ till the end of 2019.
He totally believes in it and tells that then he could buy not only a new car but a flat also.

Does it really worth it? He uses his car for his work and now he wouldn't be able to do this anymore as he thinks there's no need to work anymore.

He must have studied this decision well
No. 500000 I think too exaggerated
I think this estimate of John McAfee is known for his broad imagination
BTC is worth the investment and the price is good now
But not for 500,000.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: September 16, 2018, 11:22:21 PM
What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.

You should spend a lot of money in a big advertising campaign
To reach the target audience
The way bounty campaigns are as low as possible
Sometimes ICO fails then they will not lose anything
Just promise
In the case of advertising campaign will lose a lot.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETF Really Effect the Bitcoin/BTC on: September 16, 2018, 11:17:34 PM
I think ETF didn't effect and influence bitcoin, I don't have seems wrong about ETF. But many people said that ETF gives bitcoin a lot of money if that will be approved by SEC and ETF is an important tool that will largen bitcoin security and privacy.

I think the opposite is true
ETF has a great impact on the market as a whole
But with an important note regarding the bitcoin price
If the ETF agrees chances of rising prices will be great
If an ETF is rejected, go to  low prices will be limited.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY CAMPAIGN ?? on: September 15, 2018, 11:42:49 PM
I want to ask as a newcomer and still a beginner. What do you think about campaigns, but spreadsheets never change or don't update? Please share your experience and suggestions. Thank's.

With much work and gain experience
You will be able to choose good campaign managers
Because that is a very important factor.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to discuss next halving? on: September 15, 2018, 11:38:04 PM
It's been a little over two years since the last reward halving which occurred in the first decade of July, 2016. That means we can now officially start counting down till the next halving which is scheduled to occur in the third decade of May, 2020. But what's more important here is that there will be a lot of buzz and hype months before the actual event.

So let's recall the train of events that had preceded the last halving. In late August, 2015, bitcoin made its local low of about 200 dollars, and since September it started to rise and rose to over 750 dollars in June, 2016, just a few weeks before the H-day. Then there was a correction which many had been expecting as it was kinda obvious that people would be fixing profits.

Now, if past events are any indicator of what future holds, it is reasonable to expect that prices will likely continue moving in a sideways market for at least a year, with minor rebounds and corrections, as was the case in the second half of 2014 and first half of 2015 (now we are in 2014). Then, in the second half of 2019, people will undoubtedly start loudly talking about the next halving. These talks and expectations associated with the halving will most likely lead to a sharp price rise till the very event or pretty close to it.

The bottom line is that, these few months, and especially the first months of 2019, may be good entry points before bitcoin gets a lot of hype again. So don't miss on this opportunity, and get your cash ready today to jump on this bandwagon right on time!
I think the BTC is about $ 6K
In the lower or near the bottom
With so many bad news
BTC has stood around this price
I agree that current prices are suitable prices to enter.

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all the bounties coming out right now garbage? on: September 14, 2018, 11:27:48 PM
I have been looking through the forum for potential bounties this week and most look like absolute garbage or rehashes of coins we already have.  Are you guys experiencing this?  I wen through about 20 projects and didn't find one good one.  Looks like the days of grabbing a bunch of ICO's and hoping for the best is over.  There is way to much garbage out there right now.

True .. Many a bounty campaigns have  weak projects
Never bode well
But inevitably search for good campaigns
Just look a lot.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investments? on: September 14, 2018, 11:23:34 PM
When big boys enter the picture, the rule has changed. Bitcoin then becoming a fprm of investments, and no longer the original vision of satoshi, iguess its really inevitable, specially during the 2016-2017 when it peaked at around$20,000. It become a speculative asset, and others tske that as a opportunity, trying to make quick bucks, or even putting thier whole life-savings hoping to become rich.

351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: September 13, 2018, 11:03:56 PM
Hi,

I lost some coins this year (my own fault in Phising)
But if you send your coins to multiple wallets you can split your investments better.

When your wallet is hacked you only lose this wallet.
This is my lesson for the next time  Smiley (and some other securities)

What do you do to secure your coins / tokens?

I do that already
I have more than one wallet to distribute
And I try to balance them to be equal in value.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 13, 2018, 10:56:29 PM
Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?

I suspect that privacy (decentralization - where no control is on the one hand) in the BTC world has great value
Where no one can identify your accounts or rob them
In banks, it is possible to steal your accounts easily.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is going to accept crypto! on: September 12, 2018, 10:58:12 PM
Hey guys, what do you think about the last news from Russia? Russian government will legalize crypto! Do you think it will pump market again?

News without links ..? !!
Always do not forget the link if what you are saying is not really your news.

On the whole,if  that happened in Russia before the end of 2018
This year will turn from year red to green year.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At this time buy and hold bitcoin smile in future on: September 12, 2018, 10:47:39 PM
I think this is the right time for getting a good profit in the future. I want to give to advise that it is a chance for the investor, now buy bitcoin and hold for some time and you know what to do you can sale your bitcoin when the price is high.

So far with all the bad news
btc stands at $ 6k and this is a good indicator
Wait (if you think the ETF will refuse)
The price may drop somewhat
Buy and hold.

356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Iran touch 26.000 USD on: September 11, 2018, 11:30:35 PM
I read a few articles yesterday about the price of Bitcoin that touched the price of USD 24,000 in Iran, see the following article:
Quote

even up to 26000 usd
Quote

you can see all the market price here in irani local exchange
Quote

the questions are:
why is the price of Bitcoin in Iran is more expensive than global prices?
Is it really possible for a country to determine the selling price of Bitcoin?

It's simple, dear
The exchange rate is the password to understand this apparently
In Iran there are two exchange rates for the dollar
The official price is less than 1/3 the real price on the street
I do not think the Iranian people are naive to buy BTC x4 almost.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex hacked on: September 10, 2018, 01:57:17 AM
Hello,

I just woke up and got an email that someone logged into my Bitfinex account. My balance went down to near zero and i was shocked. I saw no withdraws but I freezed the account immediately.
I checked everything and saw, that someone hacked my account and sold all my cryptos for BTC, then the BTCs were traded from BTC to ZIL back and forwards a lot of time. They were sold low and then bought back high with my account until my balance war near zero.

I wrote to Bitfinex but I don't have an answer until now. What should I do now? Do I have any chance of getting my Coins/Cash back?

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, these breakthroughs occur from time to time
Even large platforms suffer from this problem
There must be insurance on merchant deposits by a third party.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down Altcoin down on: September 08, 2018, 11:57:40 PM
bitcoin is the value that determines altcoin
So there is a relationship between the two
Also, the dominance ratio of Bitcoin determines the value of Altcoin vs. Bitcoin.
