We are in a launch announcement thread... but is there ever going to be a launch announcement?
+1 The thread should be renamed pre-launch or something similar. With dates on when the announcement will be made.

Will we receive a PM from you utopianfuture when the audit has been completed? Or are you going to post on the discussion forum thread?

@utopianfuture:
Out of interest, when will there be an announcement regarding stakeholders now that we've reached page 90 of the stakeholder thread?

problems with official pool, and with p2p pool, only one I've got working is http://dope.internetarena.it/ but they're experiencing problems on frontend, but seems to be accepting

Fundraising updates: As we are moving past page 70, I would like to announce a few updates going forward.
- Given the our targets in funding and the number of stakeholders, the fundraising will stop after page 90 of registration thread 2. After that there will be a public auditing of the stakeholder list based on the public information in the two registration threads including account names and transaction records. Every NEM stakeholders are invited to look at the records for mistakes and discrepancies; we will also apply the disclaimer "the development team reserves the right to refund you the money if an effort to unfairly accumulate NEM stakes is discovered" to refund big multi-accounters based on the taint analysis results. Details about this process will be published after the fundraising is over at page 90.
- Details about the management of development stakes as well as development fund will also be published after page 90. There will be a refund period after this announcement so if you don't like the way funding for development is handled you can get a refund.
- Promotional stakes will be open again but to veteran accounts (open before the fundraising and has activity >20) only.
- An interesting statistics about our stakeholders' population will be published soon.
Thanks for supporting NEM. We will be a great community.
Good news, looking forward to an update.

This looks like a pretty nice coin! Anyone want to donate to a small time miner? Also I want to see if the wallet is working. LcCyKHqH71AgiQRaJUNw51dQfjh6zxZxaq you should be able to mine a few, as the difficulty is quite low at the moment.

Iam mining with an CPUminer but i only gett (boooo)
anyone an idea?
have you tried it with minerd.exe https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.0I've been getting boos of 2kh per sec, but with minerd getting 20khps. I have a quad core processor though. Best is to get a GPU mining rig, the top person on the pool I'm using is running at 44,000 khps. I've generated about 7 coins in an hour. The top earner is below: CONTRIBUTOR HASHRATES Rank User Name KH/s LEMON/Day USD/Day 1 anonymous 44,299 318,688.832 5,389,346.8380 He/she can't really be earning $5.389 million per day?!

Where are the mined coins going, as there isn't a pool as such?
not sure why my post got strikethroughed.

silly question, but how easy will this coin be to mine using CPU only on launch? I do not have a GPU or ASIC mining equipment, just an Intel quad core that gets about 2kh/s on solo mining?
|
|
|
Solo mining not generating coins after almost 6 hours, tried pool mining, but seems like pool is still under maintenance:
[2014-02-11 14:28:22] Starting Stratum on stratum+tcp://alt.178pool.com:3333 [2014-02-11 14:28:22] 3 miner threads started, using 'scrypt' algorithm. [2014-02-11 14:28:24] Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to alt.178pool.c om:3333; No error [2014-02-11 14:28:24] ...retry after 30 seconds

i'm a noob, when solo, where to set the deposit address? where does the coins go?
No need to set deposit address. Keep your wallet open and coins will go directly into your wallet. Been solo mining for 5 hours and 20 minutes now, and no coins in my wallet yet. Hash rate is quite low <2000 hashes on a quad core intel processor. Using 3 threads at 75% CPU usage.

How about Kmoto jusk like Renmenbi.
1000 Kmoto= 1 NEM 1000 Moto = 1 Kmoto
I think moto sounds better than naka.

okay, just checked the google doc, there's around 2,500, so not long to go.
