Hi, I'm new to mining, and had some money in the bank that isn't earning much interest. I am going to purchase the Neptune second batch for $9,995. Is this a worthwhile investment? My electricity costs are $0.25 per Kwh.
I understand that the Neptune will mine at between 3,000 - 4,800 Giga Hashes per hour.
I've used BTC calculators on the web, that show break even point after 5 days, then the rest is profit after energy costs. I understand that difficulty will increase in the future, but not sure how much that will impact earnings, but the Neptune should be somewhat futureproof with it's proposed hashrate.

IPO will start with OB2, a couple of days after OB1 finishes
Hi Fandekasp, thanks for the response. What will the process be for the IPO, do we need to register interest in some way, do we contact an email address, do we sign up somehow? I can't see any clear instructions anywhere. Or do we await on further instructions after OB1? cheers,

It's a hard choice between Bangkok, Singapore and Honolulu. Probably Bangkok, it really has a lively atmosphere, and I felt really comfortable there. Singapore is really clean, but is a bit of a concrete jungle. Honolulu was nice and relaxing, and great beaches. If I was to go back to one place, it would be Bangkok.

I graduated last year and started working in California. A lot of my co-workers are in their early 30's or early 40's. Most have kids and the ones who don't do not entertain the aspect of socializing outside of work. In university, I lived in the dorms and could stop by at any room and start mingling. Naturally I made friends that way throughout the 2 years I was in the dorms.
At school there were clubs where I could find others with the same interests and make friends that way. After leaving all this behind, I'm a bit lost as to how people make friends post university. I think it gets exponentially harder to make friends as you age. When you're a little kid, anyone can be your friend but as an adult you have all these other filters you think about when trying to make an informed decision about friendship.
How about joining a local gym, and meeting people there? I moved to a new town recently, and after joining a gym, I met people who I now train with, and see regularly and also go out now and again with them. Most people in my gym are friendly, you just need to be proactive and say hi and start a conversation, some people will reciprocate, and some won't, you just need to take chance.

The power to tax is the power to destroy. I think income tax and property tax are just wrong. What do you think?
I agree, but we do need services paid for by the tax. However, having said that, the tax system is very unfair in the UK. There is income tax, national insurance, then 80% tax fuel duty, cigarette duty, alcohol duty, council tax, VAT, Stamp Duty, Inheritance Tax, capital Gains Tax, Flight Taxes, Road Tax, Insurance Tax, Interest rate tax, Business Rates, and many more. Then there's inflation After all this, you're left with hardly anything.

interested.
It is not the thread. "interested" is over, you have to pay some fees and the more you wait, the fees get higher. Also the new comers account like him must be dismissed. It is easy to create hundred account and get hundred times more NEM. My apologies, I misunderstood the original post. I have expressed interest on the original post to correct my mistake, and why should I be dismissed, that's incredible arrogance on your part superresistant. I think everyone should be treated equally. I missed out on the original NXT stake, and as a result bought NXT to support it, and am an active member on nextcoin.org. I think everyone deserves a fair chance to be a stakeholder. To quote the first post: "Completely Fair Distribution - Equal Shares for ALL No arbitrary rule of distribution. No dictator to tell you how to do things. The most egalitarian coin. Show your love to NEM".
