341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] PhilosopherStone | PoS | NoPremine | 10month fair distro | 1.6.2 on: May 17, 2014, 02:55:51 PM
Did test withdrawal was fast.

Asked about my missing deposits 5/1~5/2 and cryptsy confirmed in their PHS coind but hadn't "been picked up by db yet".

You can check a tx:

Code:
gettransaction

Got this:

Code:
No information available about transaction (code -5)

i'm getting the exact same error....i even tried dumpprivkey....redownload blockchain and the importprivkey...still no luck.....then gettransaction gives me No information available about transaction (code -5)....Cryptsy gave me a transaction id 9 days ago...where the fuk did the coins go? lol....there is no doubt that this is a cryptsy issue....75% of my deposits/withdrawals are problematic....up until now they have resolved every problem that ive had...slowly the fix issues but they haven't let me down yet..
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] PhilosopherStone | PoS | No Premine | stuff | 1.6.2 on: May 17, 2014, 06:42:42 AM
Hi all.
Any way to recover a transaction from 1.5 wallet to cryptsy deposit made in 13/may/2014 ?

I'm waiting for test deposits form May 1st onwards, and will make a post when they clear. Just use 1.6.2 .

I made 2 withdrawals from Cryptsy on May 7/14.....one as a test for 1 coin and it came through fine.... A few minutes later I withdrew 300 PHS and waited and waited...nothing....however cryptsy website gives transaction id and says that it's processed...Ive had a ticket with them since and they closed my ticket today saying to withdrawal again but i can't because transaction was already sent Huh? WTF happened?Huh....i've resynced blockchain and still no 300 PHS...please help? What did Cryptsy do with my coins?HuhHuh I have the updated 1.6.2 wallet

Guys - transferred NAUT from Mintpal to my Mac wallet. It shows pending in the wallet but there are still no confirmations. The wallet is synced. It's been an hour. I'm a bit worried.

just give it some time....i transferred NAUT to mintpal and it took 25 minutes just to get 2 confirmations...don't be worried....now it's been 1 hour and im still not fully confirmed on mintpal because they require 10 confirmations wtf ?? I've been clicking refresh for the last 15 minutes lol
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 16, 2014, 02:19:35 PM
Is digi-byte in progress now? def someone trying to maintain a certain price.

Digi-byte doesn't manage prices or anything like that, digibyte has to do with the mining process. The NautilusCoin Stabilization Fund is meant to help enforce control of the overall growth of the coin without too many wild swings in one direction or the other too quickly. Enforcing an overall stability of the coin on the markets, this is what makes this coin worthwhile to merchants and consumers, alongside the rapid transfer (exchanges have different methods on transfer though as they need a certain number of confirmations).

Guys, I've been mining digibyte since the first week. The DGB Dev team is the best in the business. I was glad to see them save Dogecoin from dying out first with digishield and now helping NAUT with digishield as well. If it wasn't for DGB, I wouldn't be here in the NAUT thread. I found out about how good NAUT is because of DGB. I'm invested heavily in both coins and I see DGB and NAUT complementing each other....They are completely different coins indeed however the success of one is tied into the other (21 Billion DGB vs 16.18 Million NAUT). DGB is about to announce their algorithm change and I believe it's going to be a huge step forward. For those that are serious about NAUT, I suggest that you also get serious about DGB. They complement each other and will only help each other grow in the future.

For those of you that don't know much about DGB, digi-pay is in the works. It's basically going to be a hybrid between coinbase and bitpay !!!

News coming today right ?

I'm wondering the same thing....Digibyte is so undervalued...it should be around 100 satoshi....

If you take a look at Nautiluscoin on Mintpal, the price exploded yesterday...There's alot of hype around that coin which is backed by a big name Investment Banker and guess who they went to for help? That's right DGB. They incorporated digishield into their protocol. NAUT is a completely different coin than DGB however without DGB, NAUT would not be as attractive as it is right now.(16 million NAUT vs 21 billion DGB)

Once people realize that digibyte is the innovator, price will move up accordingly...First we saved doge, now naut..

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, 1st Separate PoW/PoS, First game! 4 Exchanges! JP=~38M! on: May 15, 2014, 10:55:02 PM
actually the PoS jackpot would be a good idea and would bring more value to the coin since it would be more interesting to keep the coin in the wallet than dumping then to the exchange.

Did not think about that aspect, I agree completely that we should change the jackpot to activate on the POS side and not through POW! This is coming from a person (including a friend) with a large farm and I think this is a great idea, and I'm sure he will as well. It incentivizes people to hold onto their JPC to increase their chances of winning, which is beneficial to the small miners. Simultaneously, the market price should increase due to less volume being dumped on the market daily. (Still don't understand why people are feeding the whales, though I'm buying as well.  Smiley)

Please consider this change as I think this would benefit the community greatly, as well as eliminate any problems regarding the allocation of hashrate between pools and jackpot payouts.

This is an awesome idea. I fully support this change to move jackpot to be genereated via POS. I think it would also be cool if there was some sort of light/sound/scratch ticket type icon that shows the wallet holder whether or not the jackpot was won with each POS coins minted.....kind of like checking lottery tickets at the store...this would add even more value to JPC

At this point, I find I'm checking the threads constantly to see whether jackpot has been triggered. If this trigger was in the wallet and generated automatically with minting, it would be awesome!!!!!  A Message like SORRY TRY AGAIN.....or YOU LUCKY SON OF A BITCH, YOU HIT THE JACKPOTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!! (FLASHING RED LIGHT WITH LOTS OF AUDIO)

We need to be the go-to-coin for chronic gamblers. Then maybe we can raise some funds and sponsor some sort of marketing in casino cities like vegas, niagara falls, atlantic city etc...

Are you serious. At 1% premine coin with 225k coins mined per day.
If you are a miner dumping coins to dummies sounds like a good deal for you.
Good luck.

If you are a trader then stick with PoS and limited or no mining coins.
We are not paying for miner's rigs and their rent anymore.

Have you not noticed the future yet?

someone doesn't know who the founder is  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I know who he is. It does not matter.
This is mathematics. It cannot be changed by fame, tweets, or news reports.

Look at Maxcoin. Look at MYR and Bryce.
These coins will not be "invested" in for a reason.

Even Bitcoin has endangered itself with it's inflation from mining.

The future of Crypto is low inflation coins. I will not buy this coin and neither will anyone I know.

If you go PoS or limit the mining time frame to a far far shorter period then it may work.
Otherwise this will go down just like all the other long term mined PoW coins have done.

And MOST of the people that buy it will lose their money to the miner's that mine it.
It that is your goal then you will accomplish it. But not to the degree you could have 3 months ago before Blackcoin and kin.

Dude, you need to read about NSF before you make uninformed comments about NAUT...Believe me, at first I glanced at the basic specs of NAUT as well and had a similar instinctive reaction as you that NAUT is just another clone...but read some more and you will discover that NAUT solves the major problem that blackcoin is currently failing on. Blackcoin's zero premine is coming back to haunt them. Who in the hell is going to donate bitcoin's to support a blackcoin buywall fund to protect their blackcoin investment to a development team who has had shady practices with their multipool payouts? It's a major flaw of blackcoin that will likely never be resolved. Well now NAUT has arrived and has solved blackcoin's major flaw. How? With the NSF. Blackcoin forgot to create a blackcoin stability fund as a premine and now they're fucked.

Does anyone here know the exact relationship between digibyte and NAUT...of course NAUT acquired digishield but I believe something big may be in the works between both coins. I say this because digibyte is in the process of switching their algorithm. I wonder if digibyte's new algorithm is tied into NAUT's premine stabilization fund?? There's got to be more to this relationship of NAUT to DGB but I can't quite figure it out....Whatever it is, it's going to benefit both coins big time !

Digibyte and Nautiluscoin are two separate entities. I contacted Digibyte to implement Digishield and overhaul the code because I had heard they are some of the best in the business.

They are passionate, professional and trustworthy. That is why they are involved in NAUT.

-BK

Thanks BK for quick response...I have been a DGB supporter since day 1.

I like what I'm seeing with NAUT and plan on investing in the long run. The way that I see it is that the NSF is a clever preplanned way of addressing market price stability. This is the reverse situation to blackcoin's afterthought attempt of trying to create bitcoin buy walls. The problem is though that blackcoin had zero premine therefore they are left trying to fundraise bitcoin buywall support, which is proving difficult to do. Also, blackcoin fails in the arena of transparency with their multipool and most of their projects for that matter. On paper, i see NAUT addressing all of these flaws with blackoin. As long as NAUT is honest and upfront with all of the NSF specifics, there is a very bright future for NAUT.
Very smart idea with the NSF.

Where can I read more specific details of the NSF? thanks again and all the best with the development of NAUT...This coin has huge potential.

Hi guys, is there any evidence that the old wallet contains keyloggers or malware to steal other coins from other wallets? I can't get a straight answer on this. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I can't say if it does or not, my guess is that it doesn't... the original dev was probably trying to make it as clean as possible other than his original scam of the hidden pre-mine. He probably wouldn't risk a keylogger on the software for fear it might be discovered before his premine was.

That is all pure speculation on my part though. anybody ran a wireshark on the asiacoin program to see if it tries to connect to anything besides the asiacoin network?

ya i agree, his scam worked perfectly and a keylogger and/or other virus/malware add-on would've been caught early as you say. As a result, he wouldn't of been able to steal as much $$$
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 06, 2014, 02:14:09 AM
I've left my original AsiaCoin wallet running since it was launched over two weeks ago and I also have other wallets running as well. It's fine.

thanks cryptosteam....i believe it's fine too...ive done full scans for both malwarebytes and microsoft security essentials and all is clear

I don't think there's any evidence that the old wallet specifically contained anything that could steal other coins (and never seen any report of it), but a couple of people found some questionable things in memory when the wallet was running.

This will still continue our PoS?

Yes.

Thanks Maestro, that's what I thought....i won't be opening the old shatbox of a wallet ever again (it's been about a week since ive opened it). Looking forward to the relaunch. I only hold 7,500 AC (not that significant) but I'm 110% percent behind the relaunch...I'm sick and tired of these low life scammers....Karma is not something that you want to fuk with and unfortunately the dirt bag dev has fuked with it.... sucks to be him/her. I'm glad to be part of this historic relaunch...I would like to personally thank the old dev for proving to me that this community is one that I want to be part of. The future for AC2 is bright...looking forward to it  Grin

358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What is the best solution to the coming Scrypt ASIC problem? on: April 30, 2014, 05:46:09 AM
ASICs are making coins centralized, that is the real problem.  The answer is to start over from scratch with a completely new system.  Lots of 2.0s are trying, none have succeded yet, but I think there is a chance for a coin to come up with a POsomething that will be better than what is currently offered.  If If If we have to stick with centralized mining pools then I guess multiple blockchains that are merge mined, but that is kind of just trying to make a broken system less broken.
We feel a multi-algo approach that allows Bitcoin ASICS, Scrypt ASICS & GPU's to mine is the future!

Does this mean adopting the myriadcoin algorithm or making a completely new one?

I don't know much about myriad but I don't believe that it can be mined by all asics and gpus...seems like a good choice...can't wait for more news

You probably want to retweet this.

Also, did you guys notice there was a run on DGB today? With a peak to 39 sats.

45 and rising.....big pump happening!!!!!
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What is the best solution to the coming Scrypt ASIC problem? on: April 24, 2014, 03:23:04 PM
I like ASICS.  They are so much more efficient than GPUs and allow for proper commercial business plans to be shaped around them.  I think the bigger Scrypt coins will be absolutely fine in this new world just as bitcoin proved to be.  Smaller ones may be run over.

DIgibyte is a great coin and it is a shame it is not more popular, but it needs more exposure.  There will shortly be an army of unemployed GPU miners looking to mine something and it is worth exploiting this group, just as Litecoin did in 2013 and Dogecoin in the first few months of 2014.  I love Doge, but the future is uncertain and a merge is a big gamble until we know if the coin has legs past January.

I would therefore recommend a switch to something else more GPU or even CPU friendly.  Cuckoo Cycle seems very promising if you want the widest audience possible mining.

I agree DGB is underrated...in fact DGB is not a bigger scrypt coin but it's not entirely small either....I still think overall though that DGB is vulnerable to scrypt ASICS destroying the coin....Ive just purchased a few more R9 270x...why? Because I can mine X11 coins using practically no electricity, it's cooler and I believe in crypto in general.....GPUs and cpus keep cryptos decentralized....ASICS defeat the purpose of crypto...I will be mining some coin using which ever algo because GPU mining will never go out of style...GPUs are awesome because they can adapt to mine which ever algo comes out next...Whatever algo DGB goes with (if any change) I will be there mining it.
