At the end of day 3, England took a lead of 126 and still 4 wickets in their hands.

I was sure that this match won't go beyond day 3 but thanks to Ollie Pope for his unbeaten 148 and still look solid at the crease with their tails who are capable of hanging in the crease longer so even if the manage to bat for the first session they will take a lead over 230 but also the possibility to lose remaining 4 wickets like what happened today.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 27, 2024, 02:40:49 PM
Ollie Pope just played a perfect inning, in recent times only Smith achieved this sort of feat in India so props to Pope. If England reaches 200 lead then Ladies we are up for some finish in this test match and all 3 results are on the card.
Pope is just delaying the inevitable. England will probably end up giving a lead close to 200 which is nowhere near enough against the Indian side on their own turf. Even 300 might not be enough against such a skilled Indian batting line-up.

To top it all off, almost all English bowlers suck these days which they demonstrated pretty clearly in the first innings.
There is no doubt about it that India bats deep and ridiculously strong, also Poms hardly challenged them with the ball.

Having said that, cricket is a funny game and IMO everything is possible, sometimes it surprises you. My money is still on India for sure but don't forget, even mighty Aussie lost the fortress Gabba against India B team with net bowlers so I'd never rule out the opposition.

Atleast someone spiced things up when everyone thinking India is running through the Englishmen, I missed watching the final session drama because I thought the match is going nowhere but 148* against the spin trio is not something amazing.

India didn't have the backup plan which is why they couldn't get his wicket but tomorrow morning this might be changed because they will come up with a better strategy and even if England can set a target of 300 India has deep batting to chase it down.

What I thought will happen today. Sir Jadeja will make a century, Axar will make fifty, Jadeja-Axar will make partnership of 100 runs and India will give lead of 200 runs,

And what happens? None that I expected, not a single one.

Meanwhile, England playing at ~6 RR (115/2, 20 overs) and they are up for a fight, looking at batting lineup left specially Ben Stokes, England might be able to give lead of 150-200 runs for India's second inning.

India went to the defensive more since the day starts and can't able to make strokes at all apart from that two cover drives from Axar which was so pleasing to watch. But finally England bowlers stoke at the end.

Even though England keep their scoreboard ticking, now the Bumrah is showing his skill level and what he can do in a day 3 dead pitch, dismissal Duckett came after the firey spell because they missed taking DRS for LBW shout but in his very next over dismissed him and then the most important Joe Root as well.

150 target or even 250 is still a cakewalk for India because of their below average spin attack.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 27, 2024, 06:20:04 AM
Once again a spinner attacked the England camp especially Ravichandran Ashwin managed to make England's first wicket fall. India will be able to bowl out England in three sessions today if they go for a spin attack. Like the first innings, he was able to break England's opening pair by 45 runs. The first wicket fell on 55 runs in the first innings and the first wicket fell on 45 runs in the second innings. Now it only remains to be seen whether India can bowl England out today.

Actually England did better than what I expected, the bazball theory is working for them now but how long they can bat is matters the most when it comes to test matches but with this approach they bat shorter, so they need to have bowlers who can take 20 wickets which isn't that case with current England bowling unity so no matter even if they can get lead from this stage, the loss is obvious to them.

89/1 at the time of lunch and still trail by 101 runs.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 26, 2024, 05:31:28 PM
The current Indian lineup was expected to bat deep and they have proven that in style. Jadeja and Axar are helping India push past the 200+ runs lead which could have probably reached 250+ runs if Ashwin hadn't gotten run out.

True, England are lucky that Anna got run out otherwise things could have been more depressing for them as he's a proper batter on turners.

200 lead looks like an almost done deal and at the same time Jaddu should be a little selfish as well, he has a good chance of scoring 100 here and should not throw this opportunity as Test 100s never come easy. He has a bad habit of throwing his wicket the next day whenever he sees off a day brilliantly.

I hope he will score his ton tomorrow, after looking at England bowling attack they look helpless, and I can't tolerate watching 5 game series if these are their front line bowlers from a country where cricket is originated. Finally, a part timer Joe root is the best of their spin bowling attack. I hope this match won't last beyond 3rd day because the result is so obvious but what England can do better if they want to fight back?

As of now, this series looks 5-0 to me.
346  Local / India / Re: New Scam related to URL ban for exchanges in India - [Awareness] on: January 26, 2024, 03:26:16 PM
Scamming is a huge business in India. There are special places and infrastructure providers available for them. This URL ban has actually given confidence to the scammers to create a lookalike website of the banned exchange and loot the information of the common crypto users of India.
I am not sure how factual it is but I often read that there is an institute in Northern part of India where they run institute to teach courses about how to scam, hacking and anything possible to milk money from people via internet.

I have started seeing email in my spam inbox that are promising people to open an anonymous KYC free account in a Singapore based exchange where you can continue with your trading activities without any hiccups. I am even seeing Facebook ads where scammers are claiming to give you a miner which can mine 0.1 bitcoin every single day without joining a mining pool.
This is another way and they will keep coming with endless ways to scam people. I will add this to OP too.

The best way to fight scammers is to become knowledgeable and by identifying the red flags.

Very well said, we can't stop them until people keep falling for them and in India the awareness and cyber crime laws are not much concrete like EU so it is also indeed to create safe internet experience for the people.

He was backing his bowler completely and in doing so overbowled him, which kind of backfired royally. Tbh apart from Joe Root no one else looked threatening. They also underbowled Leach, at least he was not offering any freebies.

From England's POV, they have to take out Iyer at all costs, if he digs in then he'll destroy this spin attack.

Surprisingly Windies are dominating Aussies and that too at Gabba lol

Backing up debutant is indeed but overbowling him is terrible mistake because the player himself need breaks to assess the condition and what/where to bowl from looking at the other bowlers, but he kept bowling from one end consistently while Leach isn't given much chance even though he is economical.

Shreyas departed while taking on and try to clear against fielder, now Jaddu came and we can see some exciting shots already.

74/5 that is very unlike Aussies at their home but it's good to see Windies performing against a quality team, hopefully their team will get some inspiration and be the side who they were in the past decades.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 26, 2024, 06:07:03 AM
After quick two wickets by England today, the fall of wickets have stopped. KL Rahul dominating the game with his bat and is in an agressive mode. The way he has been batting a half century is in the making and a century can be achieved today. India now only trail by 44 runs and Iyer and Rahul are doing great on the field.

I don't know what Ben Stokes is thinking his mind by keep bowling Hartley from one end even though his economy is around 5 which is very expensive for test cricket standard on the other side he is not giving the ball to Jack Leach who is the experienced of all three or even Joe Root who took wicket in the very first over today.

India just trail by 24 runs at the Lunch Day 2, with only fall of 3 wickets so I am guessing another 250 runs on the board is on from now on.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 26, 2024, 04:39:34 AM

It just shows the lack of sting in England bowling attack. Their pacers have been defanged by the dead subcontinental pitches and then they don't have any quality spinners to trouble the Indian batsmen. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed would not even qualify to be included in the playing XIs of domestic teams, if they were born in India. All that said, I want Yashasvi Jaiswal to perform with such consistency when he is playing abroad under SENA conditions. We have a lot of players who behave like tigers at home, and then suddenly get transformed to Pomeranian puppies while playing abroad.
I feel for Indian players, their fans have no chills haha

They are only judged by SENA performance and virtually no rewards when they perform at home but that's not the case for others let's say England and Australia.

And god forbid if they fail lol. We know how fans throw big words like favoritism, nepotism, IPL quota etc etc   Roll Eyes

This kind of comparison exists all the time, recently in SA series the pitch is in favorable for the pace attack but the Indian team went with the right set of skilled players to counter-attack when they throw at but clearly other teams lacks that amount of quality players ion their team to have a good fight back when the tour India.

Jaiswal threw his away in the very first over of the day and KL seems to be playing with aggressive mode and don't let the momentum to go away.
350  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 25, 2024, 02:25:42 PM
England all wiped out on the first day for 246, except Ben Stokes none of the batters played well. He got 70 runs at a stage when England had lost 8 wickets and were struggling to reach 200. I like this all-rounder that England has, he is not only good with the bat down the order but can bowl as well. The Indian start has been good both Jaiswal and Rohit have been after the English bowling, Jaiswal is on 42 and he should reach his half-century. It doesn't look like this Indian side will miss Virat Kohli as they have a good replacement for him. Shubhman Gill has been out of touch but in this test match, he will regain his lost form back. To date, he has the best timing when he places the ball which is why it goes to the boundary in a zip.

Jaiswal look like mini version of Sehwag, starting off every match with a boundary.

At the end of the day India is at 119/1, unfortunately Rohit dismissed by Jack leach. I just wondered why England came with one pace bowling attack which is really surprising and with two inexperienced spinners they can't able to control the flow of run which is a big mistake in my opinion.

As I predicted, we can set the template of this match for inning defeat if players utilize this chance and bat as deep as possible.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 25, 2024, 11:57:50 AM
In the first Test match between India and England, India bowled very well and bowled England out for just 246 runs. England team's batting failure again England team is not able to do their batting well, England team started their batting disaster from 2023 world cup and till now their batsmen could not bat well. Since England is playing a Test series against India, England's batsmen should have better partnerships to give India a bigger lead. I think this 246 runs won't be much of a problem for India. India are batting with a lead of 246 runs, no doubt they can bat well because we all know that India's batting line is very strong. India's current score is 119 runs for one wicket with 22 overs to play.

I just want to say WTF... Roll Eyes

England team did decent job in their batting and their batting was complete disaster until 2022 in the test format, then only they took Bazball concept and doing extraordinary well in their home and away conditions as well.

Don't confuse ODI and test format and moreover current test squad only have Ben stokes and Mark Wood from WC 2023 and every other players are different.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 25, 2024, 09:04:09 AM
From 137/6, England actually managed to put up a decent score at the time of tea with some very useful contribution from tails along with Ben stokes. At tea, the scores are 215/8 and if they can add another 30+ runs then it will give some confidence to fight back from their bowling unit.

The big hits already started to flow in the last 30 minutes prior to tea, and it will be good to watch if Ben stokes can keep continue to do it for a while.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 25, 2024, 07:53:01 AM

Indian spin trio is grabbing everything and Axar also began his account in the wicket column by taking the wicket of Bairstow with a brilliant left arm dream delivery. He is turning every chances given to him in any format into great performances, hopefully he will get a permanent slot atleast in any one format for India due to his contributions with bat and ball.

Edit: Jaddu got another one, and Root has to go back this time.

England has this issue with spinners and on the subcontinent, spinners rule the game of test. All three were taken in the playing 11 because the management knew that England wouldn't be able to survive with this kind of spin attack. Look at the scoreboard after lunch, the way wickets are falling the first innings will get over by the end of day 1. All three spinners have now taken 2 wickets each, now everything depends on Ben Stokes, if can survive today then England can continue till tomorrow.

Bazball can be successful in their condition but as I said it won't work, but that is their way of gameplay so they are going by this in subcontinent too after having success on Pakistan series.

Three quality spinners, with high accuracy then no batsmen stands a chance to play long innings unless someone who can destruct by taking on the batting like Mccullum, Viru. If this wickets falling at this rate then I doubt they won't even last long till the tea but let's hope England can score decent total to make the match interesting or else this match will end in day three itself.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 25, 2024, 07:12:08 AM
England won't mind first session scorecard but they could've been in a great position if Crawley hadn't played that dumb shot. From the get-go England has shown that they will play positive cricket and Indians should not take them for granted thinking that this is the same team that toured them in 2021-22. One could hope for tug of war in this series.

Right, they are doing far better than what they usually have been doing in the past. Bairstow and Root are going well and India now needs Ashwin Anna to come from the end which helped him take 2 wickets. These two are now slowly getting into the mode where they can form a big partnership. I feel their approach from the morning has been different and they are not holding back on hitting the ball and defending themselves they are trying to go after the bowling attack.

Both are boring replacements. These are great opportunities for them though which they should try and use wisely.
I think recently Patidar scored 2 tons against England Lions (2-day warm up and 4-day first class match)
Yes, he is having good form but if Kohli comes back then Patidar has no place in the squad, so my guess is he won't be playing the first match and I believe they will go with Shreyas and KL at no.4 and 5 respectively.

This venue can assist spinners but not much of turner like other Indian pitches so England stand a chance if they play better cricket than India but India leads in every department comparing England team and the fun fact England was the team to beat in India in 2013 while no other SENA team did that so England can do that?
356  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: January 24, 2024, 05:58:04 PM
Rajat Patidar would has been selected as a replacement of Virat Kohli. It is uncertain whether he will be part of the team that will play tomorrow against England. He made is debut last year when he was part of the ODI team and I would say his performance was okay.

Until now, no one has been named as replacement for Virat Kohli which means they are going to play with the existing squad members and I feel the current team has the ability to dominate Englishmen even without Virat.

Just now saw the statistics and comparison for the first match which is about to happen in Hyderabad. India is having edge over England in all three departments, and I am expecting an innings defeat if ENG try to go with bazeball in Indian pitch.

Jimmy Anderson is coming back at the age of 41, and exited to see what he will do and also 500 wickets for Ashwin is loading.
357  Local / India / Re: Any P2P trading platforms that are active? on: January 24, 2024, 04:02:25 PM
I have been using paxful since LBC shut their operation and I feel this is the p2p platforms which contains high liquidity for INR than any other p2p platforms (not including exchange's p2p).

Another one you can try is Noones, which is nothing but a platform created by paxful's cofounder and the actions are very much similar to paxful but different color patter which is kind of irritating to my eyes. And big difference in the fee, in LBC and paxful platform will charge 1% as fee but in Noones 0.5% was the fee when I tried.
358  Local / India / New Scam related to URL ban for exchanges in India - [Awareness] on: January 24, 2024, 06:14:30 AM
We all know Indian government recently banned URLs of international crypto exchanges like Binance, Kucoin for not complying AML policies, and now we can see scammers use this to scam people as well by guaranteeing they can retrieve the stuck funds on Binance wallets and I came to know about this after seeing such kind of messages in random crypto telegram groups, So I just want to alert not fall for this trap.

Even though URLs have been banned we can still use the exchanges via their official app or the new domain as temporary solution from exchange like Binance and there is no risk of our funds getting stuck there, and the exchange will send official announcement to every user if they are going to shut down their operations in Indian and will give ample time to withdraw any balance in our exchange's wallet.

Most of us here can say this is scamming straight away, but if someone who search about this on Google can see this and safeguard their exchange accounts.

Other possible ways regarding this URL ban posted by community members.

359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 22, 2024, 04:06:34 PM
I don't think there is any potential to socialize with others when you chose an online platform for your activities, still there is a live chat option where player can interact with others who are online but most people don't really want to socialize via gambling platform. Because we have tons of social media apps for that same purpose where people interaction is the only thing they do.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 22, 2024, 01:42:50 PM
now IPL is surely having some issues as their many players are involved and this can bring changes.

If they have no problem then surely they are going to be in last four for this coming event because their preparation is good, and they are having good players which can give them wins against any team in this format.

Most NZ players be a part of every franchise in the important positions so NZ can have a lot of game time but it can also be the issue that you addressed early, more stress on the players can end up in injury and especially just one week time between IPL and T20 WC fixtures there is no time to recover even if its a small injury so the players will be very careful.
