The first test match between England and India is in progress where England choose to bat after winning the important toss. They have scored 108 runs with 3 wickets down. Overall it was a good session of the Indian team where the Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets while Ranvindra Jadeja took one wicket. Jasprit Bumrah and Muhammad Siraj are wicketless till now.

England top order failed in the first innings. Zak Crawley was able to make 20 runs while Ben Duckett scored 35 runs. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow needs to steady the innings and they are doing exactly that. The last wicket felt on 60 runs and from that point onwards these two are in good partnership for their team.  England will be hoping that this partnership continues even after the lunch at Hyderabad.

I knew this pitch in Hyderabad as batting friendly. Because we have seen high scores in almost every Test match played on this pitch. But we don't see better batting from England's batsmen today. England lost 6 experienced batsmen in the order to collect 137 runs.

India's two experienced pacers Mohammad Siraj and Bumrah failed to pick up a single wicket. Jadeja and Aswin and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each. Ben Stokes is still at the crease. If Stokes is able to play well, maybe the England team will be able to collect around 200 runs. The pitch seems completely spin friendly.

Stokes is still unbeaten with 43 runs. However, if England manage to muster something like 250, it will be a pretty good total to contend with. The pitch seems to be completely spin friendly.

India's two experienced pace bowlers managed to pick up just one wicket out of eight wickets. Mohammad Siraj has not taken any wicket yet. The Indian captain is also not keen on using his pace bowlers. Burmah bowled just 7 overs and Siraj bowled 4 overs.

From 137/6, England actually managed to put up a decent score at the time of tea with some very useful contribution from tails along with Ben stokes. At tea, the scores are 215/8 and if they can add another 30+ runs then it will give some confidence to fight back from their bowling unit.

The big hits already started to flow in the last 30 minutes prior to tea, and it will be good to watch if Ben stokes can keep continue to do it for a while.

In 2011, the trio was included in the squad against the West Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, but after 13 years, the Indian Test squad has been announced without any of the trio.

All it took 64 overs to get all team out for England. Very poor batting performance by them. They have been in the bad form since the World Cup.
