How long did they take to reply to you?

on the thirty-bloody-first of December and a Saturday? To a request which doesn't even have a support ticket opened? A few hours only.
Come on, mate, don't try to make a name for yourself just by being negative, New Year is coming, let's be positive and look at things from the bright side! Smiley
342  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 31, 2016, 12:38:14 PM
come on gosha mate, pull one out of the hat in the last day of 2016 and help us and we will raise you a statue )

all should be working, guys. Indeed there were some issues in the morning, sorry about that - let us know if anyone still faces any problems now
343  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 31, 2016, 12:36:09 PM
I hope this card is not completely related to bitcoin, this card is being used for other payment option also right. I think till now there is no specific debit card only for bitcoin usage, still debit card technology not implemented it may be.
I think if there would be a debit card for bitcoin, its balance would not be in mode of bitcoin but in mode of  your local money. It would be better if that debit card can be encashed by bitcoin or local money.

by that time there probably wouldn't be a need in cards as such))

it is a normal debit card, same as any other in your wallet, the only difference is - it is linked to your BTC wallet in our system and you can load it with BTC or buy BTC with it.
Obviously, none of the high street banks issue cards in BTC

Promo code is there for your service?
for virtual card, (vcc)

Ths.

there is no need for one - when you install the app, your first virtual card will be free

For your information I have already sent you the documents 36 hours ago and still haven't received a reply. The fact is you added this in the help documents after I already withdraw the money with paypal and I don't consider this professional.
So neither have I opened the account on a fake address or am I angry.

Also you are calling me and others newbies to discredit us but a "reputable member" mentioned the same thing and you keep avoiding to answer why this is still not added in the tutorial/guide about buying BTC with paypal which brings most people to your site?

that's right in the middle of holidays, and banks don't work on holidays. Hope your documents are verified soon.

The only reason to refer to personalities in your case was your ungrounded accusations and use of inappropriate words like "scam". Even if we failed to ensure that every single user was informed of the change, this is not a valid reason for such accusations.

To repeat one more time: PayPal loads ARE NOT PART OF OUR SERVICE, they are a by-product of the card's functionality. Therefore, we are providing some details about this functionality on purely informational basis and try to update them as rules and regulations change, but it is not always possible to follow all these changes, and neither we have to do that for the same reason - it is not a service we are offering or benefit from, or are promoting heavily.

And it is not buying BTC with paypal which brings most people to our site - that's a wrong assumption
348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 28, 2016, 09:23:05 AM
Is there some sort of new limit on outgoing BTC transactions per day? I can make one transfer, but the second one says failed?

there shouldn't be.

can you, please, provide your registered e-mail and support ticket number to investigate?
349  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 28, 2016, 09:22:24 AM

For a company that seems to be to cutting back on customer support costs, you'd think that they'd take care of promotional material that's so misleading that it is cluttering support queues even more. I guess that it's form over function with E-coin.

mate, you seem to be a reputable member here, please, don't base conclusions on a couple of random posts by a newbie overreacting to his own lack of information, which was communicated by us, just not read properly.

I could go further and explain why some people here are reacting the way they are reacting to this change with PayPal loads - it is because some had ordered cards to countries where they cannot be shipped using fake addresses and now don't want to / can't verify them, using this forum to release the anger, but let's not go there and point fingers...
350  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 28, 2016, 09:17:39 AM

You missed my point. I understand everything you are saying but I meant stop making excuses about not adding this in the tutorial for buying BTC with paypal.

How much time does it take to add this to the tutorial? One day at most? And it would save you and your users a lot of time.

your point was using the words like fraud and scam, i.e., false accusations based on your subjective emotions instead of facts - that's the point you seem to be missing now.

Again, the need to verify accounts is mentioned in the help section:
https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207870215-How-to-add-funds-to-Wirex-card-using-Alternative-Payment-methods-

It was added over a week ago, if you have not seen it, it is not a valid reason to fire the accusations you were posting.
351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 07:01:38 PM

Because some people(or even most people using btc) want to stay anonimous. You haven't had the chance to update the guide yet? So you had the time to post on twitter, facebook and all the other places that maybe 5% of people will see.

But you didnt have the chance to post a warning in your tutorial that is among first results on google and which is read by 95% of people?

Please stop making lame excuses.

if you prefer to stay anonymous, it certainly is your choice, and we respect it.

Wherever possible, we try to allow transactions for unverified account - loading your card with BTC is possible.

However, we can't overrule the regulations imposed on the bank and/or by the bank, and loading the card via PayPal is only now possible for verified accounts - all we can do is accept it.

What excuses? Have you even read the explanation? Once again: PayPal load is not even part of our service, just a by-product. You are making no sense. When Indian central bank banned high denomination cash notes recently, would you blame a local merchant for not accepting them? It's pretty much the same story here...

P.S.: by the way, the requirement for verification is mentioned in the help article:
https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207870215-How-to-add-funds-to-Wirex-card-using-Alternative-Payment-methods-

can't answer these questions without looking into your account. Have you contacted support@wirexapp.com?

Please, provide your registered e-mail address and/or support ticket number
353  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful! E-Coin/WirexApp may be turning to a scam on: December 27, 2016, 06:19:32 PM
E-Coin Turn To a Scamm Beware!!!!

Hello,
Please accept my apologies for the confusion, this process controlled by the bank, not by us, so we communicated that as soon as we can.
Please find the response from the bank below:
"Please be informed that the user's status is blocked as we have received a credit transaction on your Prepaid Card (issued by WaveCrest Holdings) ending with (XXXXXXX3) dated:17th Dec'16) for an amount of "$45.55".
We need your identity to be verified before the amount can be used on your card. Your card is blocked from further usage until your identity is verified.

You must upload the following documents through the online portal or through your card provider for verification:
1) Proof of Identity - Copy of Passport, Driving License or Government issued ID card
2) Proof of Address - Copy of a recent Utility Bill or Bank Statement"
If you have any questions, please contact us again.
Kind Regards,

if the card is blocked from the bank you will no longer be able to see my available balance from your site but now
i have confirmation that the card is blocked from the e-coin website Not from the bank!!!!!!!!!!Liars and scammers!!!!!!

Mate, would love to reply politely, but you are being just ridiculous.. Yes, we can see basic things such as account balance, because we show it to YOU in YOUR account page. But we have no access to it or control to those funds, whether the account is active or blocked, it is your card with the bank:

All you need to do is provide documents for verification - and the issue will be resolved. Instead, you are making multiple posts based on some wrong assumptions and lack of understanding.

Why is it such a big deal to provide the documents the bank is asking for? Why do you prefer to waste your time on posting all the nonsense you are posting?
354  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful! E-Coin/WirexApp may be turning to a scam on: December 27, 2016, 06:13:41 PM
so without verification the account will remain blocked ? and what about a message We are checking with the bank and trying to unblock your account!!! will you do something to unlock ther account yes or not Huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you have any email wwhere i can contact the bank directly frommy registred email adresse Huh!!!!

Yes, it will. The bank has blocked the account because they suspect illegal activity. How do you expect them to just unblock it??

They want to know who you are, identify and verify you, after which the account will be unblocked, if everything is correct with the documents.

Why is this so hard to understand? And what, in your opinion, is wrong about it? You are not making any sense, just spreading silly rumours..
355  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 06:06:36 PM

I have received a reply that I need to send my id and a utility bill in order to unblock my account. I will do that.

But I would like to point out that there hasn't been any warning or anything about the need to verify your account if you are withdrawing with paypal. I followed the guide published by YOU here:

https://wirexapp.com/blog/how-to-buy-bitcoins-with-paypal/

To me it seems like your are fishing for people who open accounts in a fake name or for people who don't want to send an ID. You want the people to withdraw the money and then you lock their accounts and ask for documents. You can say it is due to your bank but then there should be a big red warning in your guide which is among first results when googling "How to buy bitcoins with paypal".

I don't see a step in your guide that says "Send documents to verify account." To make it even more obvious you say this in the guide:

"What’s Next?
Congratulations, you have bought bitcoin via PayPal.

Next, we suggest you start verifying your account. Verified accounts have better benefits, such as more funding options and higher limits. "

Which clearly implies you bought bitcoins with paypal BEFORE verifying the account. Clear deception and I don't think you will even reply to this post because what you are doing here is pretty clear.

As I suspected, Gosha ignored my post.

with all respect, your suspicions and assumptions are wrong, mate. What you say is "clear" to you is complete nonsense, sorry for being harsh, but would rather be harsh than untruthful.

If you read the recent replies, you will see why. Anyway, in response to your particular concerns, once again:

a) It was possible to load the cards using PayPal without verifying the account until very recent time. Which was reflected in the guide you refer to. Then, all of a sudden, and without any pre-warning, our bank changed the policy (due to pressure from regulators), and now accounts need to be verified in order to enable PayPal loads. We haven't had a chance to update the guide yet, but have shared this news via twitter, fb, this forum and e-mail.

b) People with fake names and accounts are the last thing we need. Why would we? We don't/can't buy bitcoin with the funds from your account/card. You do it. And you still can fund the card with PayPal for that, just need to verify the account first. Or you may not use this functionality, just use our service to load the card with BTC. Which, in essense, is what OUR service is about. Loading it via PayPal has nothing to do with us - you do that directly via PayPal, bypassing our platform, we have no control, no influence, no profit and no interest at all in such transactions - it is simply a by-function of the card itself.

c) If any money sent to the card via PayPal does not reach the card due to the account not being verified, it is simply held by the BANK (not by Wirex/E-Coin) until such account is verified, so, again, we have no control/influence/interest over it.

Hope this answers your questions. If something is still unclear, feel free to ask - happy to answer, but, please, don't make conclusions based on wrong assumptions

356  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 01:40:33 PM
is it a virtual debit card or not.... if not it is available to my country and can use it for verifying paypal account?

If you mean for coinocard and bit-x then both of them are standard physical card and you can buy in POS like other debit/credit cards. Don't know about verifying your paypal account, have you tried VCC?
i didnt trying it yet.... i search it from youtube vcc is not free for now...

Lol of course it is not free, you need a vcc with 2 or 2.5$ or maybe more or less depends on which country, because paypal takes a small amount from your vcc to see if it is valid or not then it gives it back after 2-3 business days.

when you install the Wirex app, your first virtual card is actually free of charge
357  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 01:39:39 PM
I'm still curious, what is the purpose of $10 minimum to add funds to the card?

Most of people want just to add 1$ or 3$ in Debit Card or VCC only to verify paypal or anyother services that charges only 1$ to verify that the card is working and bypass any verification if needed. So they added maybe 10$ the purpose of to use it more and spend in many other websites, as you can not send back (convert to bitcoin) as that option is still in process.

you can convert it bitcoin - no issue with that
358  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 01:36:30 PM

@gosha you're sounding like unverified account was never permitted to receive PayPal load.

From your tutorial you listed the countries that accepts card withdrawal via PayPal, knowing fully well that some of us were not from those countries, but you some how encouraged us to create Paypal account in those countries in other to load card via PayPal.

Now all of a sudden, you guys are stating we must be verified before we can withdrawal our monies loaded via PayPal.
Where will the documents come from since i'm not from the Paypal country that accepts card withdrawal?

You guys pushed us into this and now making it seem like you warned us at some point that verification will be needed for PayPal load.
This is unfair and i think it is a plot for the start.

The least that can be done is to reverse the PayPal load back to the PayPal account it came from.
Or if possible accept our documents even if it doesn't match the information provided during creation of e-coin/paypal account.

Majority of those who use e-coin are those who want PayPal load via card withdrawal.
It was your selling point and you guys fully launched e-coin with so much emphasis on PayPal load via card with verified or unverified account.

Without your PayPal load, e-coin will struggle to compete with other Bitcoin wallets.

as just mentioned in the post above, indeed, it used to be ok, but not any longer.

The documents are not required by us, but by our bank, and they set the rules, not us. If your address has changed from what you entered at the registration and card order stage, you can change it and provide the documents accordingly.

The list of countries which allow such loads is constantly changing, too, as regulations are becoming stricter. Just look at India, Spain and other countries imposing limitations on cash transactions - without asking anyone, same story here, so really don't see why you would be blaming Wirex/E-Coin..

By no means did we want or need to "push you into this" - those loads via PayPal are not even going via our system, they are not part of our service, just a by-product of the actual card..

By the way, why is it such a big deal? Unless you live in a country where we can't officially ship cards to, but somehow managed to get one and have to stay unverified, there is no much effort or time involved in sending though two documents..
359  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: December 27, 2016, 01:31:22 PM

Man, what are you talking about?

My friend used your service more then 180 days. His account UNVERIFIED. Before bank problem he withdraw from paypal 700-900 euro every several days using virtual euro card from your service. But now you have problem with your bank that's why you put new terms.

The worst in this situation is your relationship with clients. Your support can reply once per week. so if anyone have problem he must wait week or more. So no need to lie that every account must be verified to get payments from paypal.. Nobody don't do this before.. BUT ALL MUST DO THIS NOW!

Indeed, it used to be ok to load unverified cards via PayPal.

But things are changing, and one of such recent changes made by our bank (which, of course, doesn't do so just because they want to, but because they have to follow regulations), is that no more loads via PayPal or bank transfer, or other electronic systems is allowed for unverified cards.

Of course, many customers will not be happy, of course, we are not happy about it either, but there is nothing we can do about it - it is regulation.

Can't understand where you see any lies...
360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful! E-Coin may be turning to a scam on: December 26, 2016, 09:11:12 AM

YOU UNLOCK THE ACCOUNT HERE YEs OR NOT ?!!!!!!

if you have provided your documents for verification, then once they are verified and approved by the bank, the account will be unlocked by the bank.

Once again, BY THE BANK, not by e-coin - we don't block your account, the bank does when they think there is some suspicious activity
