341  Economy / Services / Re: [Christmas Contest] Win 1 GUARDIANCARD for a Galactical Vision - HALF A DAY LEFT on: December 30, 2016, 03:29:57 PM
it's very lovely game. How can I take part in this game?
I'm very excited to see it now.

I have reworked the OP to make it even easier to understand Smiley

Basically just answer the 3 questions within a posting in this thread or the main Age of Chains thread:

How do you envision this collision of the two galaxies?
Which values have risen to the top in our galaxy?
How do you envision our galaxy in some billions of years?

This is a really interesting project. I was into Magic a while ago and this brings back memories. I'm gonna watch this and see where it goes. Good luck.

Thank you, Boobies (great name!)!

Many people that have played Magic have articulated that our game recalls related memories - we find this a huge compliment and definitely aim to delivering you at least as much fun as you had back then playing MTG.

Looking forward to revealing the next card! Smiley

Please, make ICO on Liqui ...

If we will host an ICO, we will use the Counterparty protocol. As we are not developing our own blockchain I do not see any need for using Liqui.io.

What makes you desire having an ICO on Liqui.io? Smiley
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: December 26, 2016, 02:52:05 PM
A nice newbie post Wink

I like Counterparty but I am less optimistic.

1. Decreasing interest to use counterpoarty for crowdfunding. Waves or something like this will be used.
2. Little progress. Functionality of the exchange is even worse than at the beginning, years ago. Does anybody use the dex?
3.  Smart contracts are problematic even in Ethereum (either original or vitalikfork). Why should anybody use them here? What is so innovative about cloning the code of another coin?
4.  Cybersquating with counterparty assets. Everything is better than this. Better to allow non unique aliases for assets than this.
5. The dex is slow, heavy and annoying. It is not improving. Nobody can build better technical solution on top of the existing dex. Something completely else will be used.
6.  No use value for XCP token. Creation of assets (useless) and maybe smart contracts fuel (problematic).
7.  I am not in Slack and othe internal channels. But it is not important. The general impression is that the devs abandoned this project long ago.
8. This thread is dead anyway. Where are other trolls?? Smiley

Here is my perspective as a founder of a startup that builds on top of Counterparty:

1. We have huge interest in using Counterparty as a crowdfunding platform for our game. Waves has no functionality yet in that regard from what I know.
2. The Dex works great and enables everyone to instantly trade their assets in a decentralized manner.
3. There is no need for Ethereum based smart contracts for our use case. The EVM project has been abandoned anyway, leaving more room for progressful innovation on the token creation side, such as sub-assets and randomized token distributions. Also, how do you define a smart contract? A multisig can also be seen as a smart contract.
4. No idea what you are referring to here - would be happy if you could elaborate on it.
5. See point 2.
6. Creation of assets is very useful for an indefinite amount of purposes. Counterparty provides all the infrastructure needed for anyone to create a functional asset within seconds.
7. I am in the Counterparty Slack, where I receive instant support from all projects that build the infrastructure around Counterparty. A vibrant ecosystem of diverse but symbiotic applications is emerging.
8. Hi.

I really like what I'm reading! I sense big potential for this game if it's executed well.
Will there be other ways to invest in Age of Chains? An ICO or other rare tradables released to investors pre-release?

Glad you enjoy it.

We will be giving out more rare cards throughout time helping us to secure continuous development while at the same time being a great way for our early supporters to participate and benefit.

We also plan an ICO which we would like to postpone as much as we can to make sure it will be as successful as possible. In the meantime, we are working hard towards achieving our milestone of securing an initial fundraising round of ~$500k and are looking forward to the FounderX program which is solely geared towards achieving this goal and which starts in January.

The next card will be released within the upcoming days - it represents a very powerful blockchain - guess which one Smiley

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KOBO] Kobocoin - An African peer to peer payment/micropayment system on: December 21, 2016, 06:03:35 PM
Apologies for lack of updates. At the moment I'm just making sure that kobo survives this quiet time. Enquiries about blockchain are almost non-existent right now.

I'll start looking for other exchanges after the new year. I will speak to cryptopia and Empoex as you suggest. I'll also have words with a few others as well. CoinExchange is a good service. We've really been let down by Yobit. I don't think they're on a fork. I think they're not too interested in providing support. When I've attempted to engage with them, they've not been very interested. I've told them I'll pay them to get their wallet issues resolved but that hasn't even gotten a response from them.

Kobo will be 2 years old in February. We'll be a more established part of the crypto landscape. As slow as things may seem, KOBO is well known in Africa now, still gets publicity and is still in a good position for the future. The difference in here is that the crypto industry couldn't care less (which isn't a problem to me). That's fine, but I know that kobo holders want to see more happening and see rises in price and volume. I'm in this for the long term. I've spent my own money for the last 2 years to keep kobo up and running and syncing. We still have all our infrastructure.

I know there's more that can be done but there's seriously no point pushing a technology right now that people (to be truthful about it) are just not interested in at this moment in time. Everyone is fighting to push crypto services to the general public but the only advances are from the people offering services to the crypto industry itself.

I believe it will change in time. Progress will be gradual and we are still progressing.

Very true. I too believe time and patience is key here.

Fun game. OK, here's my idea:

The evolutionary concept of our galaxy is individuation; the survival of the fittest. Genetic variants survive if they can find a niche in which they can make use of the resources of the ecosystem they are in more efficiently than competitors, then they seek to expand their territory. Dominant species, such as humanity, use economic competition to expand their individual lifespan, territory and power through technology. God-like individuals, living thousands of years, may dominate many worlds.

The evolutionary concept of the other galaxy is collectivism. Genetic variants are allowed to survive only if they are useful to the established ecosystem. Symbiosis, and its shadow parasitism, are the order of the day. Planet-wide intelligences draw together individual species in harmonious conflict free wholes, but individual freedom is non-existent. Rather than being based on the manipulation of inert matter, ‘technology’ is based on genetics and the use of highly specialised species breed especially for their task.

The clash is therefore between beings which consider a planet to be simply a resources for individuals to use, and those which consider individuals, and even whole species, to be simply a resource for planets to use.

Interesting thoughts, I like it! Smiley

Christmas Contest

In Age of Chains, we find ourselves in a distant future, billions of years away, at a time where our galaxy collides with the Andromeda Galaxy.
Throughout billions of years, contrarian evolutionary concepts have established themselves throughout each galaxy, now resulting in a clash of galactical cultures.

This Christmas contest dives into your imagination:
How do you envision this collision of the two galaxies?
Which values have risen to the top in our galaxy?
How do you envision our galaxy in some billions of years?
Smiley

To participate in the contest, simply post your descriptive elaboration of the answers to the above mentioned questions as a post
in this thread.

Whoever comes closest to what we imagine for our lore will win one Woodcoin's Guardian card (see below). The game lasts until the end of December this year, CET time.

We are looking forward to learn about your inspirative thoughts Smiley

When will be market " GUARDIANCARD/XCP" ... After sell all 777 cards or early?

The market is already open. You can start offering your card now on the Counterparty decentralized exchange.

How much is one GUARDIANCARD on DEX ?? Thx

I think there is no sell order right now.
353  Economy / Services / Re: [Christmas Contest] Win 1 GUARDIANCARD for a Galactical Vision on: December 16, 2016, 12:46:36 AM
100 card price 15dollar "Tier 2: 100 cards for $15 each. - Sold out."

if winner contest can get 1 card equal 0.015 dollar is very low reward

and where exchanger can support guradiancard

You got that wrong. The price refers to each card.

Right now a card costs $20. You can offer it on the Counterparty Dex but I much rather recommend keeping it Smiley

You can store it on any Bitcoin address to which you have the private key.

Christmas Contest
Age of Chains is a trading card based video game that plays in a futuristic world.
Inspired by Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone, Age of Chains looks to go beyond known game dynamics to offer a truly unique and hooking gaming experience.

Throughout billions of years, contrarian evolutionary concepts have established themselves throughout each galaxy, now resulting in a clash of galactical cultures.

Prize:
1x Woodcoin's Guardian (GUARDIANCARD)

Following the values that Woodcoin has brought into its blockchain, Woodcoin's Guardian seeks to protect his fellows by using knowledge of millenia.

Whats up ? Any news ? tier 3 sold ?

We entered Tier 3 for Woodcoin's Guardian just a couple of days ago. The card is still available for purchase at that price level via our swapbot.

Our landing page is ready (Thank you, Matthew!) and if you like to be among the first to read our blog post, make sure to follow us on Medium.

We currently are evaluating many applications for the position as a Unity Game Developer, as my friend Ruben (planned to be the CTO) currently due to being in the end-stage of his master's program can only commit little time to the project.

Also, on a good side note, we have been accepted within the FounderX program and decided to participate. The program is mainly remote, lasts three months and is aimed at refining our business model and pitch with the main goal of securing an initial funding round. The last three days of the program will take place in Silicon Valley, consisting of networking events, workshops and formal dinners. Our aim is to raise at least $500.000 in funds which will take us a long way, hopefully even until release. If you are an angel investor, looking for an investment opportunity, feel free to reach out.

Here is part of the FounderX acceptance email:

Quote
Hello,

I have very good news. You have been selected to receive the special Graduate assistance for the FounderX advisory program. Congratulations!

We reached out to over 500 of the up-and-coming Graduates, reviewed over 100, and then selected 50 of the best. You are one. There are two next steps before we start the mentoring in January.

So things look great. We are making huge progress on the mechanic side of the game with every day, are developing the lore, design and scale our team.

To give you a little bit of an insight into the lore:

Age of Chains plays in a distant future, at the time where our galaxy collides with the Andromeda galaxy. Throughout billions of years, contrarian evolutionary concepts have established themselves throughout each galaxy, now resulting in a clash of galactical cultures.

Now a little Christmas game:

Prize: 1x Woodcoin's Guardian

Whoever comes closest to what we imagine for our lore will win one Woodcoin's Guardian card. The game lasts until the end of December this year, CET time.

Artwork for GUARDIANCARD is excellent. Will you be relying on the same artist for most cards?

Thank you. Indeed we carefully selected our illustrator and are looking to cooperate with him for most of our artwork.

That said we are always open towards talented designers who think they would be a great fit for Age of Chains.

If you happen to be one, feel free to send me your portfolio.

359  Economy / Services / Re: Win 5000 AMPs by forking vote.bitcoin.com on: December 10, 2016, 04:05:54 PM
Do we have to fork the repo and solve one of the existing issues for the bounty ? Or just make the AMP's work ?Any thoughts on escrowing the bounty ?

Just make it work for AMPs.

Not sure about escrow, I can ask. Jim has a very good reputation within the community though, I do not think payout will be any trouble at all.
360  Economy / Services / Win 5000 AMPs by forking vote.bitcoin.com on: December 10, 2016, 10:22:03 AM
There currently is a 5000 AMP bounty upon realizing the following task:

The task is to fork https://vote.bitcoin.com/ (make it work for AMPs) so one can vote upon proposals, simply by signing a message with an AMP holding address.

There are several unresolved issues where we believe that this voting platform will be able to better demonstrate the community's sentiment, which ultimately will lead to better decision-making in deciding how to move Synereo forward.

GitHub Repository to fork: https://github.com/arsenische/bitcoinocracy

PS: The bounty is not offered by myself, but by @jimscarver, Synereo community member.

I am more than happy to connect you.
