341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 06:23:52 PM
My biggest regret is when I got introduced to this back in 2012, I tried to buy £200 worth, the platform was down and I never bothered, just recently woke up to it again at over £4k per coin, it is a physiological thing where I don't want to buy at that price.

Most of us regret is either not buying it early or selling it very cheap. It's not too late yet invest in bitcoin now as bitcoin will continue to rise even more. I have regret that I had sold all my coins too cheap and now I have learned my lesson to not to sell it at cheap and don't believe in any shit news or tweet on bitcoins.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Convert token to BTC on: October 23, 2017, 06:15:18 PM
Hello there,

I have token and I want it to convert to BTC, I don't know what to do. Please help me.

Thank you!

You can do that on any bitcoin exchange you just have to deopsit your tokens to your account and then you can sell it for bitcoin at market rate of that coin. I do mostly sell my tokens on hitbtc as it's quiet easy and hassle free try it.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: return as soon as possible and win back your losses . on: October 23, 2017, 10:42:58 AM
We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?

no you shouldn't chase your loss otherwise you'll end up losing more and more because of their house edge it's like more you play the more you loss. I advise you to quit gambling if you're aren't good at it as it can affect your real life as well. I have seen many people who are addicted to gambling or playing to recover their loss and ended up losing more. So I think you should just forget about your lost money and start doing something productive. All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from mistakes good luck
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC hold or convert to altcoins? BTC GOld convert to altcoins or Hodl? on: October 23, 2017, 10:27:09 AM
what do you think is the best possible move after you receive your btc gold airdrops?
sell your btc and btc gold to altcoins? HODL? or cashout to USD?
Respect post..ALL Responses are highly APPRECIATED..THanks.

If you need money now then sell bitcoins otherwise hold it as will continue to rise after a drop on 25th october or you can buy altcoin it will surely rise as lot's of people will come back to altcoin after the fork and if you don't want to take any risk then you should either convert it to fiat or cash it all out.

And I will most likely sell bitcoin gold as soon as I get them. I see no profit in holding it for long term.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: October 23, 2017, 10:08:34 AM
I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?

Trading altcoin = quick profit, Holding bitcoins = long term profit. Altcoin trader make very large sum of money and yeah altcoin trading is very risky while bitcoin holding is risk free and profitable at the same time that's why newbie needs to stick with hold bitcoins than trading altcoins.

Altcoin trading requires market research and they should know the potential market for the particular coin so I believe trading is not for everyone.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest alt rally ever? on: October 23, 2017, 08:43:15 AM
Looking at what happened after bitcoin cash was done. Btc crashed hard and alts mooned.

I think later this week we will see exactly the same thing.

Yeah it's possible that altcoins will grow after end of this month and bitcoin will crash as most people converted their altcoins to bitcoin to claim bitcoin gold and after the 25th october people will start to invest in altcoin again so we will surely see another altcoin to the moon but the question is in which altcoin to invest after the bitcoin fork?  Grin
347  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: October 23, 2017, 08:30:35 AM
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.

Yes sure bitcoins is most popluer digital currency and if it continue to rise then no doubt most people will invest in it as it gives more return then shares, gold investment even if bitcoin gets replaced by any other coin though digital currency will be more popular in next few years.

349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is how my 7 bitcoins at coinbase got hacked on: October 21, 2017, 08:31:22 PM
I am posting this in case other people may confront the same situation and could possible avoid it. Also check out what a role coinbase is playing here.

I have a bitcoin account on coinbase and was not able to login however I tried. I got my password correct, but coinbase did not allow login by saying that it was a new device. Coinbase just kept sending me an email for me to verify the new device through the link. Nothing just happens after that and it was a loop of communications leading to nowhere. I tried the verification process by pretending that I do not have the 2-factor verification and try to provide my driver license to verify my account. It accepted my information, but still no result after two week's waiting.

There was no phone number that I could see in this whole process. Today, I tried googling "coinbase phone number". It popped up with two numbers. The first one was authentic, but it will ask you if your account is compromised. If yes press 1. My account was ok at that time and I kept waiting. Then the voice said the volume is high and hanged me off not allowing me to continue to wait. After several times of calling the first number without success, I continued to try the second number (888-4551155) and it went through after several minute's wait.

So I called to solve the problem. The tricky part is that they were able to help me log in! I have NO IDEA how they are able to log in! We were back to the page where the coinbase said that I was a new device and need to verify through email. Then the hackers had some code that claimed to be the "coinbase secrete seed". I do not know why they have such code and why this code could help me log in. I have been so desperate in the recent months and was so happy that finally I got into the system and see my account. Then they took control of the account and sent my coins to their own address. The transaction could be seen here. https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/f0ae7669a0115b53129657d4a2b0ca2f9c730b0835e4848e8cea7743ffb1f7e8/ The bitcoin address that they used was 19n12cDwyfmf6ZpjxGJVvRuZL9BEPdq6Xy

I know I am stupid to be scammed, but there is one question I have no answer: while I was not able to log into coinbase myself by trying all the options that is provided by coinbase, the hacker were able to log in by using some secrete seed. I do not know what that is, but he should have some partial security information about coinbase. I called coinbase about this, it seems they are redundant to take responsibility for the fact that they are allowing other people to help me login. The funny thing is that when I called them, they ask me to press button 1 if you think your account has been compromised. So this time of course I pushed 1 and finally get through after one hour wait on line. Now the true customer service picked up, and after checking my balance to be zero and just asked me: "do you want to close your account?". They do not really care to know what happened!

Hope they can investigate this, because the hackers will do it again. If they can log in coinbase for me, they can do it again and again. When you google "coinbase phone number", their number is still showing up.

You should never keep your money on exchanges they are getting pathetic day by day. Did you try to tell them about this situation if they value their customer they might pay you some money which you lost because problem on their site.

You did a good thing by posting it here as lots of people will learn from this and they will know that coinbase doesn't care about their customer at all tough luck mate.
350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell on: October 21, 2017, 08:18:08 PM
In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?

I usually set target when I invest in any coin if I achieve that target price then I sell it immediately but it doesn't work out every time sometimes you have to suffer loss or accept lower return.

There are some coins which are more profitable to hold than trading like bitcoins, ethereum because these coins can make you huge profit if you invest in it at right time.

352  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN END PRICE on: October 21, 2017, 07:52:06 PM
The way bitcoin price has been increasing has been alarming lately and I can say that no other currency has the amount of power that bitcoin has, I can remember vividly sometime during January ( I mean early January) bitcoin was only struggling to reach $1k but now come October, the currency is almost nearing $6k ($5600) to be precise, now I want to ask if there is a mark in which bitcoin will stop increasing or is there  a mark it can't cross.

People always underestimated bitcoins including me when it was around $600 people started mass selling of their bitcoins and avoided buying it as lots of people thought that price was too high for a digital currency. I think more and more people including large companies started to invest in bitcoins recently and they know it's potiential so price will surely go even higher than $10000 but no one can predict it's limit.

If bitcoin reaches more than $10k to $20k government will start making laws on digital currency as it will affect the government. United states already collecting taxes on digital currecy.

I think it will stop increasing after $10k-$20k but it's a volatile market and no one can predict it it's just an assumpations that it will stop after $10000.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Trading Truly Profitable on: October 20, 2017, 10:34:09 PM
For all of your die-hard Altcoin traders out there, share some input on your experiences or strategies you may have implemented/utilized to find success. I myself have had my fair share of dumb luck (knock on wood) but i'm interested to hear what some of you legends have to say.

Yes investing in altcoin is quiet profitable as others have said let's say you invest $2000 in bitcoins now if bitcoin rises 2% which will make you only $40 while investing $2000 in altcoin price at $0.2/coin and if that coin goes up to 2% you will make $200 but it all depends on which coin you choose to invest and market situation.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Cashout BitCoins? on: October 20, 2017, 10:16:10 PM
Hello, i'm kind of new into crypto currency, I am currently trading on few exchanges. But i noticed all of the exchanges use bitcoin to deposit and withdraw, also no matter what coin you trade use bitcoins. So when you decide to withdraw your bitcoin and convert to USD, how do you go it? I don't see any option in any exchange, which is very weird.

I'm a trader and I do convert my bitcoins to usdt when I feel the price drop. There is option to convert your bitcoins to usdt on most exchanges which convert your bitcoins to equal US dollar price and you can buy bitcoins back with that money but most exchange require verification if you cashout fiat money so convert your fiat money to bitcoin and sell it on localbitcoins if you don't want to go through verification process.
355  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to recover Blockchain.info wallet??? on: October 20, 2017, 10:05:13 PM
Hi!

Can someone help me please with the following problem:

Last year in 2016 November...I have created a BTC wallet in
Blockchain.info. I purchased BTC from a friend and he sent it to my BTC address on my newly created account.
He called me that the BTC was sent but it has never shown up on my account.

Before this...I logged out from my new wallet on my laptop and tried to
login again but I didn’t write down the wallet ID and I couldn’t login into
it again.
I think the problem was that when I created my wallet on Blockchain, I
mistyped my email address so I didn’t receive any confirmation emails
from Blockchain that contained the wallet ID for my new account.
Therefore I cannot retrieve my wallet ID. I have the password for the wallet...I also have the Bitcoin address where that BTC was sent...and the BTC is on
that account but I cannot reach it.

Please help me to retrieve my coins.

Thank you.

I think there is no chance to recover your wallet even if you have wallet password and bitcoin address. That's why you should always backup your wallet with seeds to avoid lossing your wallet your first mistake was mistyped email address because blockchain always send wallet id and verification mail to your registered mail sorry but you made a big mistake accept the loss.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: October 20, 2017, 09:48:04 PM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

I do daily tracking of my portfolio If I see that particular coin in which I am losing me money then I wait for few more weeks to make decision if it continue to go downward then I sell it with other coins which are making me profit to cover loss. I'm new to crypto currency and started with very small amount for trading and you should always keep in mind while trading that trading does not guarantee you profit if you keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back or you'll make profit even if it making you loss then avoid that mentality which can make you huge loss and also affect your real life. Research is the key to do trading successfully and keeping yourself updated with market also benefit yourself.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to send Bitcoin to an email address on: October 20, 2017, 09:26:25 PM
I want to send Bitcoin in the same way PayPal works, to an email address. How can I do it? I tried to and it says "invalid address".

I don't think it's possible it doesn't work as paypal. You only require to have bitcoin address of the person whom you're trying to send funds as others have said there are some service which send bitcoins to email address I would advice you to learn how bitcoin system works to avoid loss of your bitcoins as it's totally different from paypal good luck
358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2018 on: October 20, 2017, 09:06:03 PM
if you have any idea about bitcoin increasing? if I buy now btc so its r8 or wrong time
fell free or droped here....
thanks

I don't think this is the right time to buy bitcoins wait for the drop then buy. I'm currently holding bitcoins and buying in drops but if you want to get free bitcoin gold as well then buy bitcoins now but you have to hold it for few months to avoid loss as price will surely fall after the fork on 25 October. As for bitcoin price nobody can predict it as there are too many factors which affects the bitcoin price.
