341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: February 25, 2024, 01:06:03 PM
What fulfillment with players are you talking about? Just making it exciting? Or are you pertaining to something else, like probably "actually profiting" from gambling?

Anyway, I'm curious to know why you are assuming that new games could have a greater chance of winning. Probably just because it's new. I don't think it can be related to that automatically but it's important that you manage to learn it first and know some of the conditions on how to win then proceed with gambling.

I just like plain dice games, because it's easy and you can do bots with it.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 25, 2024, 07:42:48 AM
The highest amount of money that I bet on a single game is only around $200, I have bet on a sure thing and managed to not lose the money I have risked. Then thankful that I did win because I might go crazy because that's not the amount of money I'm willing to lose. It's just a spur of the moment that I wanted to just try that kind of amount. Not very comfortable if I lose it.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot has changed in 10 years! on: February 25, 2024, 06:39:25 AM
Hey! Welcome back! It's been a while. Back then, 10 years ago, I didn't have any Bitcoin yet because I didn't know at that time  Tongue Just kidding around.

Anyway, there are a lot of new things in the forum and I think the cryptocurrency space is very different from back then. It surely will be a different ride and all I can say is everything seems to be faster and that's probably the trend overall.
344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another Stake Scam Post Locking 45k$ Balance on: February 24, 2024, 02:33:30 PM
From reading the link you gave, I noticed that they said that the game that you wagered on is under investigation. Maybe they are looking into game manipulation or something. They are probably waiting for those results to come and make sure that they have verified the game or something. It took a while though.

Maybe there's no problem with you but just the game you wagered on and can't release funds yet.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nutildah's Double-Or-Nothing Sportsbook Challenge on: February 24, 2024, 02:28:53 PM
I thought you were to post a double-or-nothing challenge that every time you bet, you double it or something. Lol.

Anyway, would it be easier if you were to gamble it? Is it a pure sportsbook site or with a gambling site in which you could play roulette or any card games that you could have an advantage of or something. Maybe poker?
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 24, 2024, 06:54:59 AM
Hi there OP, there is already a thread for this one created ahead of this so i think it's better to close this one and discuss matters pertaining to this fight in a single thread.

Thanks.

This topic has already been closed.

I know that both Haney and Garcia are somewhat similar in height, but this is going to be a great fight for the WBC super lightweight title. Haney might have an advantage with the number of matches but the percentage of knockouts by Garcia is a lot more, IMO it can be with Garcia's advantage. We will never know until it happens.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which psychological stage of the crypto market are we in? on: February 24, 2024, 05:07:39 AM
I like the idea of this asking where we are now. I have read this a couple of times and managed to not do much with approaching the target because I'm always on the market trading with my bot and I have certain strategies if the market is going down or up.

Right now I believe it's still in the markup stage, based on the list that you provided, because it's still rising in a standard way. I believe it's still going to go up with the institutions and possible retail traders making BTC a part of their portfolio (using ETFs)

For the market makers, if they have large money, they can influence the market, but at this rate, I think they are just producing volume.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What can I do to be successful in trading with my small capital on: February 23, 2024, 11:53:37 PM
Having a small capital shouldn't limit you to the trading that you want to do, just make sure that you can trade the minimum amount on the exchange that you are trying to do. Maybe a multiple of 10 from the minimum to assure that you could have multiple trades and then hopefully make money with every trade that you make.

Aside from that, it's important to know how you are going to trade it and how you can be successful, it's best that you try to focus on one strategy and not be emotional.

The best approach IMO is to use a trading tool like Gunbot you might want to check it out.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 23, 2024, 11:44:13 PM
This is a different approach that I have seen with the posts around here but it's interesting to talk about.

I think some people practice it and make it their focus when it comes to religion. If you practice but don't follow those norms, why bother right? It's kind of counter-productive in terms of yourself and somewhat of a hypocrite if you don't follow.

In terms of myself, since I don't gamble frequently anymore, it doesn't come to mind.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 22, 2024, 05:52:45 PM
Of course, the purpose is very different regarding gambling and investment. The first one gives you entertainment and the fact that you will want to make quick money out of the thing you invested in gambling.
Point of correction. Gambling is not an investment unless you invested money in a way that gamblers will lose and you will gain as the gambling site is gaining. That is if you invest on the gambling site or you do bankroll investment. But if you are gambling, staking your money, that is not an investment but gambling. It has no name than gambling and it is very risky.
Maybe there's a better term for that but in essence, it's almost the same. You risk money. Isn't that the same? Is the difference just between the risks involved? Or the actual action itself?

351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 22, 2024, 05:34:14 PM
Of course, the purpose is very different regarding gambling and investment. The first one gives you entertainment and the fact that you will want to make quick money out of the thing you invested in gambling. For investments, you would be expecting some return but not right away. I think it's going to beat the challenge for people to convert what they are using for entertainment to gambling because it's what they want. They would just only realize what they have lost when they lose it. It's always the case, right?

II do hope people would change to really affect themselves lead better lives and not lose it all, unless they are always winning and probably can risk a lot of money.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 22, 2024, 05:54:24 AM
Oof, after reading the article, it seems that it's greediness that takes over. Imagine, you are the guy and you didn't expect this but you want a part of it but you didn't do anything to be accountable. He should've been responsible and transferred the amount of the ticket. So technically, it's the girls, right to claim it. There's nothing he can do about it IMO. If he could've been responsible, it's possible that they could split it, but he didn't.

That's what happens when you two aren't married yet. It's easy to do that to your partner lol.
353  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: UK regulator issued 450 alerts for illegal crypto ads in 2023 on: February 22, 2024, 03:34:52 AM
Maybe a different kind of system would help alleviate those fraudsters and scam campaigns that are roaming the internet. It might have something to do with social media being the outlet and the doorway toward consumers' focus and then just being a victim of it. Education might not be the complete solution to solve this as well as there are smart scammers that take advantage of some factual stuff.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Fantom Coin? on: February 22, 2024, 12:51:07 AM
This pump was probably caused by the increase in the price of BTC. In essence, it still hasn't grown into something but if there would be an influx of money due to possible upgrades or improvements made on the coin, it could possibly increase. I know a lot of people are now pouring money into BTC with the OLD Money that was from the BTC ETF approval and awaiting the ETH ETF as well, maybe there would be a better chance for it.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wednesday had been my bad day to gamble. on: February 21, 2024, 10:41:44 AM
Definitely! I had experiences like that but when looking at a larger perspective, it's more towards the chances and it's always chance. There's no scientific evidence that would support that on that specific day, you would lose or feel like you do.

The best way to test this out IMO, is to record your actual losses and wins. Maybe start to record the balances, time, date, percentage gain/lose. Maybe with that, having a longer period of time, would even out and you would see how much the casino is getting advantage over you, the player.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Technical Analysis Really Work? on: February 21, 2024, 10:37:58 AM
From what I have read from your post, it's about the psychological mindset that is set on the "market psychology" not with your personal or self mind when it comes to disciplining and managing your assets/resources. Mindset is one of the things that you would consider if you ever are interested in being successful in trading.

So you need to understand both stances.
  • Market Psychology
  • Self Psychology

I think there are more technical terms but I can't think of it right now. You really need just to understand how the market would lean or go to and with the self psychology, it would be the controlling of your emotions.

It plays with the technical analysis. It has roles that you need to consider as well.
357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot Trading vs Futures Trading on: February 20, 2024, 09:25:14 AM
I think it would depend on your exchange because if the liquidity of a coin in that exchange is non-existent, then it's probably because of the exchange's lack of volume. You should stick to big exchanges so you won't have a problem with low-volume coins.

Spot would be best if you are less risky but want to earn money in terms of buying low and selling high.

For me, when picking a trading pair, I mostly depend on what strategy I'm going to use to trade. Like for me, the trading strategy that I have is for the long term and automated. I pick the coins that I am OKAY to HODL. Even if I buy more of the asset and lose in value, it's okay because I'm in it for the long term.

If you are going FUTURES, it's best to find the most traded one, the largest volume, so you would be sure to have the receiver of your trades but it's really risky, so be careful.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - Do I need to diversify? on: February 20, 2024, 05:29:53 AM
IMO, Not investment advice you should change into a different coin because I did. I started my trading journey and currently, if I hadn't changed it, I wouldn't have gained much in this market.

This is my trading journey - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5481549

I changed my trading pair to ETH from XRP. And I didn't regret any of it. I think XRP wouldn't move much because any movement, the developers or big HODLers of it would just dump it in the market, preventing any rise in price.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling friendly countries on: February 19, 2024, 01:53:10 PM
I believe Monaco has the best in terms of getting your maximum payout of the gambling that you have. Most of the casinos there, I read, that it's really luxurious and you know that it's expensive and a reason to let people go in there and gamble.

Maybe Macau as well? I think it is the main purpose of people when going there. It's always because of the casino and I read somewhere that it has low tax rates for players.

Are you planning to go international OP?
