1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 02, 2022, 06:31:42 AM
Now that I think about it, it's definitely going to be a problem that you can have that kind of "relief" in your mind that you could play with essentially 0 dollars and have someone, in this case, the bank that issues the credit card, to pay for your behalf. It's a trap in it for itself. It's going to be a problem in the long run knowing that it's easily accessible. I believe it's right that not accepting that method would be ideal already.

It's going to be hard to break that cycle TBH.
1282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Secret of success in futures trading on: December 01, 2022, 04:16:33 PM
This is definitely a type of low-key advertising with signals. Well, in the first place, I don’t think there’s a shore signal that’s just a scam in it of itself. If you can’t admit that it’s a probability or a prediction, you probably I’m just shilling your service. That’s too good to be true.
1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: December Has always Proved to Be a Good Month For Cryptocurrency industry on: December 01, 2022, 02:17:01 PM
That's probably what you think is the best, but there are better ones. Maybe that stick to you because that's either when you discovered BTC, or it's too memorable that the following months just continued rising, and that's an excellent run for 2020 but not every year. It's a common misconception that when it's near Christmas time, people have a lot of money, if they were to have extra, it would go into the crypto portfolio that they have, and that's one of the idealized things, but that's probably not what's happening during December.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino on: December 01, 2022, 01:56:21 PM
What are the other websites that you are talking about? I just wanted to let you know that you only mentioned one.

If you were to test out casinos, you would need to use only a tiny amount regarding it, and that could help you a lot if the casino turns out to be a scam in any way. You should try the long-time casinos in some of the signatures of the members posting here because it has stood the test of time with legitimacy and more players have positive feedback.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 01, 2022, 07:16:19 AM
What's the unconventional there? You just basically pooled money into a single account to make your capital larger. I think the only benefit that you have there is that you have a larger account and the profit that you'll get is bigger. Nothing unconventional because I think it's being done with other people as well. As long as you trust people who would bet for you or either add an idea on the current bets, then there's just nothing to it, really.

- Minimizes losses how? It's the same percentage on the same matches? The chances are the same and if you lose, you lose as well. Maybe the percentage is less but if you think about it, it's still the same even if you're just one.
- How does it reduce the chance of being addicted? Won't it be an additional addiction? This would be dependent on the type of friends that you have. Maybe they are the ones initiating the gambling and could lead to further addiction or something.
- I agree with the bonding. It's really fun to go out with friends, you know.
- Accountability is important for sure and making sure you are in line.

I don't have any unconventional strategy TBH because it's usually luck still. So I just based it myself on luck and not think about anything else. I'm just making sure that I'm okay losing money up to a certain point. Making sure that I won't have a revenge type of thing in gambling.
1286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My gut is telling me that I am missing a part here on: December 01, 2022, 05:43:46 AM
Binance's role in P2P is the middleman, that's why it's not a DEX or anything because it's not within your control still. Other members here who have posted are already right with it as well.

What do you guys think about this? https://www.bnbchain.org/en/trade/

It shows that it's Binance DEX. What do you guys think of it in that regard?
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX drama stressing people for no reason | How to stay neutral on: November 30, 2022, 02:00:13 PM
I think if you see how people treat cryptocurrency in general, it is a way for them to profit, and in order to provide, you need to riskier assets, and one of them is trading. If you are in the FTX exchange then definitely you are aiming for trading and profiting from your capital in there and you wouldn’t be able to do that if it wasn’t in there.

The best approach now for people is to use decentralised exchanges, but it’s a little more complicated though, so I don’t think a lot of people would be willing to do that
1288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: November 29, 2022, 03:20:24 PM
After a few weeks and almost a month of your posting, have you decided on what you will do? I know a lot of people who are really lazy on researching for themselves and to decide what to do with their money. It’s kind of a tiring thing because they are always going to be dependent on who is the expert.

I tried that kind of thing and it just doesn’t make it worth it, but having a larger capital would be an ideal thing. If you always do the right thing and you predict the right coins to go up or something like that as long as you’re profiting, I think there’s no problem with it, and the problem would come from when you lose.
1289  Other / Meta / Re: Should the difference in size between normal and quoted text be smaller? on: November 29, 2022, 10:24:59 AM
Never really thought about this but I don't think it would make a big difference in how I interact and use the forum though.

What I think is important with the quoting system is the highlighting of the quoted text and it pretty much does the job for me.
1290  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: November 29, 2022, 08:40:23 AM
Gambling applications are not so much encouraged in the app store or Google play store because of the rules of certain countries. I think using real money or something is in violation of rules in certain places and they cannot just develop and publish in the play store. Unless you are willing to install an unofficial APK that could infect your device or something. That's scary TBH.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: November 28, 2022, 01:20:35 PM
Before I start any agenda I have, I try to research whatever I can search on the internet. If it's about gambling, I remember searching for possible strategies. So I stumbled upon the most famous "Martingale strategy" that made me money initially. As we all know, that's not a complete proof strategy, and it can bite you in the butt if you have managed to continue and be greedy with it. Everybody has that experience where it's an "aha" moment, and you lose. So then I just relied now on luck.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 28, 2022, 08:26:26 AM
It has become a threat to the government because they cannot print how they will fund all their emergencies, and it's going to be hard for them to allot that because it's made to be scarce and not be an inflationary asset, which is ideal for this. I think it's suitable for the people looking forward to buying cheaper assets, compared to those who are just getting in on the action. Maybe it's a great way to introduce crypto because it's at a discounted rate.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: From Tom Brady to Shaq, FTX’s Celebrity Promoters May Be On the Hook for Damages on: November 27, 2022, 04:11:13 PM
I'm saddened by what they experienced. Imagine it, FTX was reputable way before this blow-up and misuse of the funds they have and having the issues with the other companies that SBF has and all those. Many people probably have a lot of trust because it was reputable before in terms of its image. After all, they are doing a lot for the crypto community by helping other firms, etc. It's just that there are deeper problems with their situation, and now it has come up; the consequences should be on SBF because it's his fault, to begin with. Celebrities probably become more cautious with representing any crypto-related things, but it's believable. It's going to be complex and unpredictable with what's going to happen.

Adopting crypto with the masses would be even more complicated with everything happening.
1294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: November 27, 2022, 07:16:09 AM
It's good to know when to invest so that you can collect more of the investment you want. The consistency of buying your coins would be ideal for forming your best asset. It's still good to adhere to that form and continuously get what you need to profit in the long run.

As for altcoins, it would be hard to predict what to get but if you have, make sure to HODL it in your wallet and not online.
1295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ghana plans to buy oil with gold instead of U.S. dollars on: November 27, 2022, 04:20:21 AM
With everything that is happening, it's a good move to move away from USD to make sure that the value that you have for your money is maximized. I'm expecting a lot of other countries to follow suit regarding this. Since it's pretty uncommon right now, I don't expect it to be done immediately, but once they see the effects, it's worth it if that's the case.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: November 26, 2022, 05:28:32 PM
Isn't it that it's corrupt people in general? Many people are so blinded by greed that they are desperate to get more and more and are unsatisfied with what they already have. We will have that risk if we stay in centralized exchanges and support projects with sketchy or too-good-to-be-true backgrounds.

We can never prevent those incidents because it will be knowing whether or not they have planned it. It's hard because that will be within their control, not ours.

It's best to protect what we have and continue having plans for ourselves. It's what you can control.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 02:51:56 PM
I think everybody here is already aware of what cockfighting is and probably has some experience with it, whether it's with the following
  • Computer games
  • Actual observation of cockfighting
  • Online gambling through video

That's how they are participating in this day and age. I think a lot of people have lost a lot of money and had to be banned to prevent those who cannot control their gambling intentions. Lol.
1298  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pilipinas Merit Cafe on: November 26, 2022, 02:45:33 PM
Salamat sa support. Siguro maganda mag lapag na ng mga recent na magagandang thread for this year and we can then post it on the merit source application thread for the update.

Andami nag sasabing mag bump ng thread pero di pa nila ginagawa. Lol. Siguro maganda makapag hanap muna ng topics na possible ipost dun for update.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: November 25, 2022, 05:13:59 PM
I think at this time, it would be tough to know whether a project would be valuable or not because almost everything has been created, but of course, there are a lot of innovative minds in the world that could make something new and have an impact on the planet.

In the previous years, I think it is more beneficial with that, but now it’s not going to be as lucky or effective now. At least that’s what I think.

It’s best to hold a coin that you really want in the work for so that you would not be hesitant or feel that you have wasted your time buying it.
1300  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 25, 2022, 02:39:06 PM
It's someone's responsibility to know whether they can afford a child. It's essential to see if you can because that's going to affect how you are going to raise the child. It's not an easy job, but it's required to be done, you know? It's tiring, and you need to be responsible enough not to complain and do something about it. That's the critical part. There's hope as long as the person complaining is doing something about it, but if there's none, then it's all lost and gone.
