I knew he was banned but didn't see that reddit thread, that's hilarious. He's such a baby. He really does like being surrounded by people who despise him.

http://www.humblebundle.com/Most excellent collection of indie games, pay what you want, proceeds go directly to the devs, some to charity, some as a tip to humble, and you can choose the split as well. This is one of the best ones yet, all the games are great.

That's pretty obvious yes. I'm done derailing this thread though, I think the OP had a question that was never answered.

Well let's hope we never have to find out.

I don't think they would even try, more likely they would reimburse in fiat.

And the inflation is 33% not 25%.
Yes, you're right. Sorry. So next year it will be around 25% then suddenly drop to 12.5%. Wait, I thought it was going to cut the block reward in half, why is it going from 33, 25, then 12.5? Because the currency is issued at a steady rate, so in the first year the monetary base starts at zero and goes to 2620800, then double that again the second anniversary. So at the second anniversary, the inflation rate is roughly 50%. The same amount is issued during the third year, so around the third anniversary the inflation rate is about 33%. Likewise, the same amount is issued during the fourth year, so around the fourth anniversary, the rate is 25%; then the block reward cuts in half, so the rate suddenly drops to 12.5%. The inflation rate is relative to the monetary base already issued. Oh I see, wasn't thinking about it that way.

So if your parents didn't specifically tell you not to leave the faucet running, jack up the water bill, run a pipe to the neighbors, sell it at a loss and pocket the profits, then its okay to do? That sure is some logic you got there. When i was a kid, my parents teached me what to NOT do. My parents taught me morals and ethics so I knew what to not do, and don't need to be told what not to do by authority figures, but to each his own I guess

It will always remake the file, its a log generated by the client, thats why I said to del/rename it since it was having a problem loading it. If it's still giving you the same error message after deleting then it must be an issue with the client itself.

I am going to take a wild guess here. Gabi is not a parent and BadBear is. So true. Yeah you can definitely tell who in this thread actually pays bills

I remember reading 'Decartes Error' 20 years ago and the story of Phinn just stuck in my head. FF PS. I hope this is the pre-accident version of him!
I had an accident? "Phineas P. Gage (July 9?, 1823 – May 21, 1860)[n 2] was an American railroad construction foreman now remembered for his improbable[n 3] survival of an accident in which a large iron rod was driven completely through his head, destroying much of his brain's left frontal lobe, and for that injury's reported effects on his personality and behavior – effects so profound that friends saw him as "no longer Gage"." Is that not where you got your alias from?

Use windows to search for addr.dat, then rename it and run the bitcoin client again. I don't know where it will be since I don't use XP.
|
|
|
That file is just basically a log, should be able to delete (rename it addr.old or something just in case) it and the program will generate it again. Keep your bitcoins

Question: How do ANY of you know that that is the full amount deposited on MtGox? You all keep talking as though this is the entire MtGox fund? What if the cold storage is 1M or 2M BTC, and this is just the amount they like to keep on hand to fill withdrawal requests?
We never said that the address contained the entire MtGox balance, only that is a large balance. Only $1.5M worth. It really wouldn't be that hard for MtGox to cover that amount at this point, I think. They've made bank on trading so far... Except, how are you gonna buy 500k bitcoins? MTGox only has around 190k on the order books, and that would jack up the price significantly, making it prohibitive to purchase them.

Just a little nudge over 3.2, and I suspect we'll coast to 4.
Not anymore, pretty big ask wall went up at 3.50.

Why Satoshi leave bitcoin ? This was his last post (well besides some little technical coding post) It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context. WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us. Was in regards to an article about wikileaks and bitcoin, so looks like he didn't want the attention, and seeing as the govt was wikileaks enemy...

I wasn't talking to you, I saw you said you got her permission already. I was referring to what Gabi said.
