3401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 30, 2020, 08:59:08 PM
For the main event, here's another unbeaten fighter (so far) looking to take the belt from one of the UFC greats Jon "Bones" Jones. Knowing how Jones fights, he likes to beat opponents out of their own game whether its striking, grappling, or wrestling. Dominick "The Devastator" Reyes is well-known as a KO artist so I expect Jones to keep this fight a striking match.
This is a really good review, Jon Jones has faced many fighters who were undefeated in the past and no one was able to defeat Jones as he is a complete fighter who takes the fight on the strength of the opponent but Dominick Reyes is an athlete as he did many sports throughout his college life and he is a good athlete as well and have the knockout power but the team behind Jon Jones will come up with a great game plan and i am expecting Jon Jones to win somehow even if it goes for a decision.

I wouldn't blame Southee much. He was clearly trying to do the Yorkers but it wasn't too good and Rohit made most of it.
Tim Southee bowled well till the last 2 balls in the super over situation and if the wicket keeper would have collected the ball cleanly in the first ball Rohit Sharma would be run out.

Yeah almost forgot that. If it would have fallen into keepers hand properly then it would have been out. Also I am glad that  the strike came to the right man for the last two balls.
Other than Rohit Sharma i do not see anyone in the Indian team right now who is capable of clearing the boundaries like he did in a situation like this.

Talk about bad-luck of NZ with superovers : they had lost 2 out of 3 super over events within 1 year. One out of which costed them the WC.
Presence of mind in crucial situation, they could have easily won the match as they just needed 1 run to win from the last ball and instead of taking a single from a well set batsman he tried to score a boundary and dragged the ball to the stumps and the run out opportunity in the super over, if they miss chances like that then they keep struggling like that  Wink.
3403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!! on: January 30, 2020, 02:18:14 PM
Always check everything three times and remember that claiming Bitcoins from an old wallet can be a real threat to your security.
Always remove the coins to another wallet before planning to use your private key to scrap all these shit coins. I had no idea about these coins in the market and the main reason for these kind of forks is because once upon a team they can say to their grand kids that they owned a crypto that forked from the main BTCitcoin and to have a feel good session during old age, other than that i have no idea why we need a million coins Cheesy.
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 30, 2020, 12:48:50 PM
They are now 151/5 and total lead is 264 runs and 5 wickets in hand. They need to surpass the lead to 350+ runs in order to have good chance of winning the test match. They have played well till now in this test match and should bat well for rest of the innings to post a good score for SL to chase batting 4th else the climax could be just the same as the previous test match.
The weather has come for the rescue for Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe should declare the innings soon as they already have a lead of 335 runs and they should take the risk if they need to level the series, either they have to score some runs quickly or declare right now. Considering the difficulties to bat in the fourth innings Sri Lanka need to bat really well if they want to draw or win the match, hope the weather will clear soon.
3405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 29, 2020, 11:58:24 PM
This fight isnt sure yet since there are already talks about arrangement on Khabib fight but it wont be bad if this one
will happen.
If Conor McGregor has a smart team management they will look for a Nate Diaz trilogy rather than looking for a rematch against the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov and if he really wants to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov then that should be his last fight in MMA and then retire and go to the boxing ring and then try to win another belt in boxing as he said about his plan when he returned against Donald Cerrone and since there are many divisions in boxing i think he can win a belt in boxing but fighting against veteran boxing legends is a hard task.
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin! on: January 29, 2020, 11:05:35 PM
John McAfee, who once anticipated that bitcoin would reach $1 million before the current year's over, has been bashing the main digital money. As per McAfee, bitcoin is a shitcoin.
He likes publicity stunts and media attention and that is how he makes his money, selling advertisement space for saying non sense through his social media pages and promoting scam projects, guess how many scam shitty projects John McAfee advertised through his social media pages promising his fans that he had first hand knowledge about the legitimacy of the project and then they vanish, there were many projects where John McAfee promoted through his social media pages. He is a scammers and cannot be trusted and he should be avoided.

John McAfee's prediction isn't deserving of trust since it's clear that he can't even fulfill his promise.
The word Trust is not there is his dictionary and how can he fulfill anything.
3407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2020, 10:21:32 PM
While India created a history as well, winning t20 series for the first time in NZ.
Looks like India is on a mission under captain Kohli to win every series over seas and make history.

Hitman proved his ability again.
I am glad Rohit Sharma changed his career altogether when he was sent to open and now he is one of the best openers who could change the match with his innings and he is showing his potential what others predicted a long back. I still remember i was skeptical when Gavaskar used to repeatedly tell about his exceptional talent when he used to get out easily in earlier days and i used to think he is coming in the team because of people who pushes people to play in the international team but when he was given the opportunity to open he changed his career altogether and right now he is the most dangerous batsman in world cricket.

But we also have to mention that NZ played really well on today but they lost the match by a thin line.Well this is not the end still 2 more matched to be played even if India already won the series can India beat them with complete whitewash?
I was expecting New Zealand to play their best game and still they were not able to win the match, it was a great performance by the New Zealand captain Williamson who lead from the front but was not able to win the match and India played the match to perfection.
3408  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: January 29, 2020, 06:48:48 PM
It's not a threat to Bitcoin at all -- Bitcoin can only grow stronger for every instance of centralised money that is created and continues to come up short. Every failure of the centralised and the state, is a victory for Bitcoin. Threat to other centralised altcoins? Oh for sure.
The concept of centralized digital currencies with a blockchain is a real threat for freedom as the authorities will have every opportunity to monitor every transaction everyone conducts and if a country is against the concept of decentralized crypto then there is no way you are able to invest in it as everything is monitored, so it is a fine line to think that it is not a threat to a decentralized market when majority of the countries are planning to implement their virtual currency with blockchain because it will have the evidence trail.

Opportunity? Why not? Every government that realises it is creating yet another centralised currency - just more transparent and more under their control, might like blockchain and in that sense recognises Bitcoin tech as valid.
If you look at both sides of these application i am sure the government is looking on having a transaction trail but how secure they can keep the system is to be known.

I don't want Rohit for the next 3 T20s as he is not in good form
Have you seen the start Rohit Sharma gave in this match and so is the reason i said it is a matter of time he fires and if he fires he can easily clear the boundary with ease as he already scored 5 boundaries and 3 sixes and India needs a really good score to defend as this is a crucial match for New Zealand to level up the series and i am expecting a really good match but still rooting for India to win the match as the bowlers were performing well and they can put pressure on the New Zealand team if they have a good score on the board as they are going over 10 runs per over now and if they maintain that it will reach over 200 runs.
3410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 28, 2020, 03:25:09 PM
I don't want Rohit for the next 3 T20s as he is not in good form and just getting single digits and is the first one to lose his wicket. Prithvi is also in the squad so they can try him instead and take a chance. I don't even like Dube's performance as he is eager to hit 6s and 4s from the start.
I think it is a matter of time Rohit Sharma gets his touch as he was in good form and the New Zealand pitches are really small and if he gets going he can clear the boundaries with ease, i do not think India will change the team as a win in this match will secure the series and after that they can experiment with the bench strength, the big question is whether they will experiment even if they win the series as they have not done that in the past claiming they want to white wash the series, hopefully they will experiment in this series with new players.
3411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 28, 2020, 12:43:42 PM
@Oasisman
Every fight will be different, in a normal situation Conor McGregor would not be allowed to debut against one of the elite boxers ever in history and he did simply because of his drawing power and skills as a good counter puncher and so was the reason the interesting element was whether a retired Mayweather could still handle a young hard puncher and we saw Floyd did what he did throughout his career take the fight deep and he knocked him out because the conditioning issues of McGregor is well known and Floyd played the safe game as always but Manny is an aggressive fighter and it will be an entirely different fight .

You cannot make a statement like that without talking about how the country has suffered tremendous terrorism, which is the reason that people there have turned to nationalism.
Since you touched the narrative of terrorism, lets analyse the major terrorist attacks against military and parliament
Indian Parliament attack (2001) Under BJP government. Do you have any idea how many terrorist attack happened after Modi government came into power including attack against military camps which never happened in history and you are coming up with the narrative that people are supporting the current government and turning to nationalism because they are holding the record for the most attack against Indian military.
Indian Army brigade headquarters in Uri (2016)
Nagrota army base attack (2016)
Pathankot attack (2016)
Sukma attack(2018) and just before the elections when all the polls were against the BJP because of their incapability to fulfill anything and turning the economy upside down with demonetization we had Pulwama attack (2019), all these attacks were against Indian military base and camps, hope you have heard about the recent arrest of a police officer who is close to the BJP government, deputy SP Davinder Singh who was recently arrested along with terrorist and he was directly involved in Indian Parliament attack (2001) and Pulwama attack (2019).

You can lie and find a narrative you want but the facts and truth will come out one day. I know i am going way off topic but the narrative he is giving cannot be accepted.

And the money ban was because its neighbour was essentially printing fake notes to try to destroy the Indian economy - lets leave politics out of the bitcoin forum in any case.
The narrative during demonetization was combating terror funding, black money and corruption and what has changed after that, what about the fake calculation and narrative the government used, how many black money was recovered. The economy doomed because of some illiterate taking decisions, many small business shut their door because of the immense loss they had to encounter, any idea about the total loss the tax paying citizens had to encounter 13,000 Crore INR to monetize again, any idea or calculation about the counterfeit notes reduced after demonetization, the statistics says it increased  Roll Eyes. Any idea how many people died because of the rush and cash crush when no one was able to withdraw their money from the bank and your stupid analogy for the betterment is bullshit and that is the fact. So please do not come up with fake narrative you learn from RSS and BJP camps.

If India with its large population adopts Bitcoin in a big way this will be massive for BTC.
The people of India will adopt, but the government is making things difficult for anyone to invest by using the RBI to shut down business by restricting banks to conduct business with crypto exchanges and i did not see any narrative regarding this, the government says BTCitcoin is a ponzi scheme, so what is your narrative on this subject.

PS:The long response is because of the narrative @Thavash wants to portray and i want to inform the real situation rather than sugar coating that everything is fine and done for the greater good.
3413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Central Bank Says It Hasn’t Banned Crypto on: January 26, 2020, 09:13:11 AM
India is an interesting country. Didn't they try to ban cash and gold? They are quite sophisticated in their use of technology,
India was an interesting place with a growing economy but the only negative is the ruling government who does not have any idea about innovation or technology as they are too much focused on religious polarization as they are thinking of getting the vote bank of religious fundamentalist. The government banned 500 and 1000 INR bank notes without any prior warning and it was a real shit show during that period as they did not have sufficient newly printed notes.

and they are planning to build thorium reactors to generate electricity. This a safe and cheap way to generate electricity, and the omly downside is that it doesn't [roduce weapons grade isotopes.
India does have the worlds largest Thorium reserve and most of the reactors will start functioning by 2025

If they generate a surplus of cheap electricity, then it would obviously be a great pace to set up mining farms, and they have just announced a training programme for Bitcoin mining.
The training program for BTCitcoin mining is conducted by a private association and it has nothing to do with the government as they are still in the dark ages.
3414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 25, 2020, 11:32:09 PM
The problem for Bangladesh was that they got off to poor starts which can sometimes be hard to come back from but again that is credit to the Pakistan bowlers. Anyway lets see if Pakistan can clean sweep.
Pakistan bowled really well in this series and good to see that they were able to dominate the series against Bangladesh and they lacked this kind of coordination against the series against Sri Lanka.

We have New Zealand and India and let us see how they are going to perform and with the win against New Zealand in the first T20 they will be having the confidence to win the series and hopefully the jet lag for some players will be sorted by now.
3415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2020-01-25]Japan to begin its own national cryptocurrency on: January 25, 2020, 08:20:17 PM
Following the announcement by China to launch its digital yuan, Japan is also planning to start its own cryptocurrency, a new report states.
China started planning its digital Yuan project known as the DCEP (digital currency electronic payment) after Facebook announced its intentions to release Libra.
At the moment, China is close to releasing a digital version of Yuan and Japan is following this step.
For everyone in this market for a long time we have seen every shit show we will see with a new market, we have seen the old IPO scams recreating in the name of ICO projects and now we will see a shit storm of digital currencies from every countries with a blockchain attached and then they proclaim that they stand for innovation and in the next ten years we will come to know how these shit show will go.
3416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 24, 2020, 06:26:35 PM
My prediction for the event:
Curtis Blaydes vs Junior dos Santos : I have no idea about the health situation of Junior dos Santos and whether he has the power to land a big punch as he used to do in the past but if he is healthy then i am going with Junior dos Santos to win the fight considering the odds.
Hannah Cifers vs Angela Hill : I am going with Angela Hill to win the fight.
Rafael dos Anjos vs Michael Chiesa: I am going with Michael Chiesa as Rafael dos Anjos always struggles against wrestlers.
3417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is stopping the US Government from outright BANNING Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2020, 05:44:42 PM

Well, you're right. But that's assuming that the world governments would all go hand in hand and shut down all the mining farms. If that's likely to happen or not is another topic for another conversation, but remember that we're talking specifically about the US government(as per OP's title). Tongue Shutting down US mining farms and small time miners would definitely affect the hashrate negatively, but it wouldn't be THAT bad.
I was having an account in Liberty Reserve back in the day and i am sure many here knew about that, i started using LR because Paypal froze my account without any notice and i had to wait around an year to get my funds unlocked back in 2006 and i thought it was a legal system as they were having huge number of transactions during those period but US government along with other government took the entire network down and luckily for me i withdrew my funds when there were rumors that investigation is going on with the operation of the site and there was BTCitcoin gaining momentum during that period, so what i meant is if a powerful government wants to take down something they will go to any distance even if they spend millions.
We have seen the movie industry lobbying the government to take down servers and networks outside US in the past and the amount of money they spend on those were ridiculous but still they went after certain sites in the past even though they were all hosted outside US.
3418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me. on: January 24, 2020, 04:54:25 PM
I've been for cryptocurrencies from when I first heard about it and got involved back in 2013. There are some pros to having Bitcoin as the future method of payment however there are some cons too.
It would be interesting to see why you think Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies) will surpass traditional methods of payment (Cards, Bank transfers, payment gateways etc.). Or if you think they have no future please share why.
Even when i first started BTCitcoin i too had the same mentality that it will replace the traditional payment system and during the early stages many merchants were accepting BTCitcoin and it was a golden time as you were able to use it everywhere with minimal transaction charges and the adoption rate was massive but then it changed after that and now it is a great speculative market and hopefully in the future we will see some changes in that aspect. Still BTCitcoin can be used to send transactions globally if you are an exporter with minimum transaction fees than traditional methods.

After such a good partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Naim, I expected the Bangladeshis to make a total of somewhere around 160. But they ended up at 141/5. Such a total was not going to bother the Pakistanis much. And they never looked to be under pressure at any point during the chase. All credits to Shoiab Malik. He's 38 years old, and still going strong.
There were talks about the Bangladesh team not willing to travel and then there were topic about the security they will be getting but i never saw anyone discussing about the match and i came to know about the match when i saw the score update as notification that Shoaib Malik played and took the team to victory and i was surprised as i thought his career is literally over. Pakistan started well in the series and today India and Pakistan won their respective matches by chasing  Grin.
3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 24, 2020, 01:07:47 PM
No, he is not losing his popularity, he is taking advantage of it because if that fight happens, he will make a lot of money, regardless of the outcome.
I wish there are rules from MMA and Boxing organization not to allow this kind of exhibition fights.
If the athletic commission were to intervene they could have done that when Conor McGregor was making his debut against one of the best boxers in history and that too with an undefeated record and if the athletic commission did not interfere in that fight i do not thing that they will be interfering in any of the fights they propose.
If Dana White and Bob Arum wants to get this fight happen then they will make that happen and that is the reality Wink.
